Wish I stayed longer. Great accommodation's and very clean!

The whole impression is ok. Main issues we're with refrigerator, which was too loud. However I was surprised that they are making xero copy of payment card which was used during payment with ID as well. As for me, that's all information which needed to take any amount of money from card whenever they want. I thought we finished imprint cards in 70-s. Seems this hotel hold in past with that.

Very low-quality place. Rooms are small, not that nice-looking, no sink and even no mirrow, bathrooms are ok but sometimes dirty, and above all very strange smell in the whole building. Although very friendly personal and great location. Would recommend only if you really need to save money.

The front desk was very friendly and attentive. I was allowed to check in early since my room was ready. The facilities are nice and there are plenty of bathrooms/shower rooms on every floor so you are never kept waiting. I remember noticing that there was no elevator which was strange. I thought the location was good too, walking distance to many districts.

Visited this hotel before the holidays as I needed a place near North Beach. It's reasonably priced, and close to some unexpectedly great eats in Chinatown. It's clean and professionally run, would return if I'm in the area.

Absolutely beautiful and comparably affordable. A great comfy place, quiet and reserved other than a bar on the lower floor on Saturday nights. I live here and couldn't be any happier!

Very friendly staff. Perfectly located in the financial district between Chinatown and Little Italy. A lot of nice good coffees and restaurant around. The place itself is airways very clean.

Good place to stay. It is mainly for longterm stay but it is available for short stays of couple of days. Remeber that it is mainly for LONG TERM STAYS thus many things that are generally complimentary in a hotel is not available here like: soap, shampoo, hangars, daily house cleaning, an iron, an ac or a fan, etc. This part was not well specified when I rented it. Also, being oposite to a pub and presence of other resturants in the close proximity can create problem with sleeping at night. Also ask them for a room that is NOT above the street… you will definitely end up with sleepless nights…

Lived here for almost 2 years. I say it was perfect place for me to live in. A private room, Desk, Chair, own TV though I never watched it. It has common Kitchen with cookwares, utensils & dishwasher. House keeping cleans your room weekly and toilets are cleaned daily. There is also a living area where you can watch TV with friends. And a laundry area. I cooked two times a day and 5 days a week. Sometimes it crowded so just try to go in off peak hours and it will be perfect. Staff is so good and friendly they are still my friends. A safe place next to North Beach what else one want. Enjoy!

My first home in America as well as San Francisco. Lovely, quiet residential building close to the Financial District with good rooms and complimentary Wi-Fi. Definitely recommended for short-to-medium length stays.

Pretty cheap, but really small rooms and high cleaning service price. It is good for students.

I've been part of what we like to call the "Columbus Family" since September 2015. While pursuing my masters degree, Columbus Residence has become my home for the year. There are many things that makes Columbus Residence a great place to stay/live. First of all, the cleanliness. The cleaning crew are kind and hard working; they are in charge of keeping all rooms and common areas in great shape. Likewise, they are always available to help with day-to-day residents needs. Second, the administrative personnel. Mike and his team are always welcoming and helpful. They all care for the residents well-being and walk-the-talk when it comes to customer service and hospitality at all times. Third, the location. Columbus Residence is steps away from the Financial District and at the heart of North Beach, where all the best Italian restaurants meet China Town and historical landmarks, such as Coit Tower and Lombard Street. Finally, the price. Columbus Residence allows students and recent graduates to live in a comfortable place at an affordable price. I recommend the residence to all those who want to have a cultural enriching experience, while living in a safe, clean and affordable environment in the heart of San Francisco.

Nice location, clean, was able to leave luggage after checkout. Not perfect for short overnight stay, have to pay 25$ cleaning fee anyway. The location is more convenient for longer stays.

I stayed at the Columbus Residence for a bit over 3 months, and I loved it! The place is kept spotlessly clean, especially bathrooms. The staff are friendly and helpful, and you can't beat the location.

Stayed there for three months. Only irritating thing was residents who didn't do their dishes.
