Reviews of Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA 4*
Wonderful time beautiful view and very clean rooms.
Clean very nice staff nice hotel.
Amazing experience! Very clean facility, staff was very very nice and helpful. We had some nice views from our room. Price was very reasonable.
Great location. Awesome views. Very nice rooms.
Extremely rude staff and parking is horrible there.
I booked this hotel through Expedia and canceled the reservation 30 days prior to the stay. Hotel charged me for the room and have refused to give me a refund after I have provided all the cancelation information they requested. Horrible customer service. I could only imagine how bad it would have been to stay here if the rip you off before you get there.
They charged for services that you don’t use. They charged over $200 parking fees and I didn’t even used their facilities. I called them and they told me they even had my car’s information. I explained them I dont even have the type of car they are changing me for and they have to check carefully as I was not willing to pay for a service I did not used; unbelievable but they told me “deal with your bank because we can’t help you with that; we have a valet parking ticket that match with you name” they also charged for late checkout and the time they put on the invoice, I was at home already, 6 driving hours away. I’ll never recommend this place.
Great location, nice customer service.
I have to say it was easy check in allowed us to come in earlier. The room we got had amazing view! My kids loved it! I hope to stay here and maybe get some good deals from them anyway I recommend this place. Hope you all have a great experience!
Staff were ok. Could have been better. But not to bad I guess.
What a wonderful hotel. Very friendly staff. The bar is fantastic.
The hotel has exceptional service, the rooms are clean and we had a fantastic view! the breakfast was delicious!
Stayed here for 3 nights during our California tour great location and very friendly staff. Superb choices for breakfast with lovely staff. Superb bar with huge screens showing sports. Loved it.
We have a great time stay with my family and co — workers here in Park Central Hotel. It’s a very good and beautiful Hotel. We are planning to come over again and we will recommend this place to our family and friends. Thank you so much Park Central Hotel for the amazing place.
Staff really friendly. Great breakfast buffet although hard to find tucked behind the bar!
Fun bar. Warm place on a cold night.
Central hotel, excellent treatment, comfortable rooms with great views, the reception people very professional and friendly especially Sara,
Hotel does not offer any kind of room service according to staff we spoke to and the only on site bar/restaurant (MaSo) was unstaffed 3/6 times we visited during operating hours. Rooms lack any fridge and are poorly maintained — our dresser drawers kept sliding open without any load in them, and staff resolved it with a wooden spacer. Couldn't put anything in or they would slide out anyway, so, effectively useless. In room AC didn't really do anything but pump lukewarm air into the room, but better than nothing. Didn't drop the room temp a single degree our entire two day stay. Elevator doors will close on people and close with force, so be sure you're in or out, as we witnessed several guests get hit by them rather hard. Staff is overall pretty rude and unfriendly, especially wait staff in the ballrooms. Many guests at the event we attended also complained about the overall demeanor of staff. Drinks after open bar was over at the wedding are insanely marked up, so may as well go down a floor to MaSo to save some money (if you get lucky and there's staff to serve you). Overall, highly recommend avoiding the disappointment and staying elsewhere for the price. Our stay in SF was massively improved once we left the hotel to eat, drink, and be merry at the numerous other local bars and restaurants.
Centralized and friendly, clean rooms. Within walking distance to several shops and restaurants.
Friendly staff, centrally located.
My Daughter stayed there & it was great until they returned & realized the last night they charge her card for $1, 500.00. The first night was “free”, the second night was $200.00 & the last night they were gouged for $1, 500.00. Buyer beware, she can not get the Manager to return her call, they suck!
Perfect hotel very nice staff service and good breakfast.
Friendly Staff! Very quite rooms and a must if attending the convention center.
Nice hotel in a great location in the city. Bed was a little hard but I was pleased to find a top sheet in addition to the comforter. Would have liked a less hard pillow. Towels were soft and and room was in great shape. Lack of a mini bar or late-night food options is a negative.
I did not stay overnight but I did attend a social event here and went up to the guest rooms. Getting to the guest rooms is very secure and requires a key card so it's nice to know that security is a top concern. Rooms are very standard, and quite clean, but don't let that deter you from the quality of the room. The revolving door in front is a nice touch, but I'm wondering why there's a sign on the door that says use revolving doors when there are other doors available.
The location is very convenient as it is in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean. The view wasn't to bad either. The service was great and the staff was very friendly/helpful.
Beautiful hotel in a direct city location. The staff is very friendly & the rooms are clean. Our room is spacious, but not as modern as the rest of the hotel — still very good. Tip: if you stay here, you should definitely book a room on the upper floors — the view is worth :)
Location is great, right downtown. I was here for work and everything I needed was in walking distance. Rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable, though not nearly as elegant as the lobby and bar area. Could use a few upgrades (there was no convenient outlet near my bed, for instance) but these are minor complaints. I did have a gorgeous city view that I really enjoyed. Overall I had a very nice stay.
If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIBully. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! Attended a conference in June. Catered food was pretty good and space was adequate. Hotel room was good but had a few quirks. Only some channels on the TV were HD; a lot of channels were standard definition which is surprising in 2018. The toilet also felt too small. Rain shower was nice, as well as the pillows and desk. View was great from the 33rd floor.
I reserved a room almost 2 weeks before our stay. When we went to checkin, they said that the room that I had reserved (2 queen beds) was not available because they had a group checkin that morning and they gave them all the rooms with 2 queens. They put us in a room that ended up smelling like cigarette smoke. When we went down to the front desk to tell them about the smelly room, they ended up finding a room with 2 queens that needed to be cleaned. So, 2 hours later the room was finally ready to checkin to. The room was nice, but the AC didn’t seem to work well. The whole experience just didn’t feel customer minded. I wouldn’t stay there again.
Hotel was very centrally located to both union square and china town which are always on top of my list. Check in was easy and without delay. P forgot a few bathroom items and the front desk was happy to provide. Concierge was friendly and knowledgeable. Service at the bar was slightly off until he realized I was a guest so one star off for that. Other than both bartenders, very excellent all around. Loved the huge clock in the lounge.
Located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, the hotel around a large number of shops and restaurants, and the transportation is very convenient.
Check-in, the staff's face is a bit cold, get a little perturbed in the heart of the eyebrows, suspicious whether they did something wrong.
Room light and comfortable, much space, but the layout is relatively simple.
Bed is "King size", even if two people 瞓 the same bed are more than enough, not to mention only one person exclusive?
Toilet space is sufficient, clean and hygienic, more than qualified.
Room view is good, look out of the window to see a number of high-rise buildings, feel very bustling. A bolt from the Thunderbolt, the hotel actually did not have free Wi-Fi, disappointing, deduction points …
Great location, very nice rooms with comfortable bed. We stayed in a suite, which was well-appointed. Breakfast buffet was ok, although bacon was super salty. Concierge was terrible. We were caught in unexpected traffic due to a march through downtown SF. Since it had been planned for a while, we would've expected the hotel to know about it and advise its guests accordingly, but the front desk was completely unaware. We asked concierge while stuck in traffic what our options were, and he was thoroughly unhelpful. We asked to speak to a supervisor, and he acted like he didn't hear us or understand us. Later, the hotel manager apologized and comped us the breakfast and a bottle of wine, so at least someone there understood what customer service means.
Location is awesome but… Everything is charged in this Hotel. If you need a mini fridge $25, Microwave $25, if you need a Cot, Another 25 dollars. There is NO Pool!, Pay per view can only watch once. Pillow sucks (Super Cheap quality), the same as the bed. There is no conditioner, only body wash and shampoo. They give you 2 water bottle a day which is cool, Parking is paid! ($58. If you have a van $78 A DAY! This is ridiculous! They have a charger station by the lobby for Tesla. If it was not the location I would never stay. I believe the room price is way overpriced for what is worth. And NO!. I would not book again at this location.
Booked this hotel through my company travel and was very disappointed in the quality of the hotel, both in appearance and staff. We arrived at 11:30am and were informed that if we wanted to check in, we would have to pay an extra $50! I think given how much we were paying for the room in the first instance, this is an awful business practice… either you have a room available or you don't! The room was on the 6th floor which meant I could hear sirens and street sounds even though I requested a high floor (understand these are not always available). The room was dated and could do with a refresh, you are paying for a location rather than quality at this hotel. The poor service however needs to be improved, charging $50 to check in before 3pm is appalling. I have requested that this hotel is removed from our preferred hotel list in our company, I suggest you stay elsewhere if you end up paying full price for a room.
Great hotel at the heart of downtown. One suggestion for feedback I have is locating the parking. The parking garage is on the street after pulling out from the valet area. If you miss it, then you will have to take many left turns across many one way streets. Ask the valet where it is located to save yourself $37 in parking fees!
Central location, bright and airy rooms with great views and floor to ceiling window. Spotless, quiet and comfortable. Excellent customer service. Very friendly, professional and accommodating team.
Great hotel in a great location. Nice rooms, but no refrigerator in them.
Was a little disappointed because hotel told us at 2am when we arrived (after a delayed flight in) that they had overbooked due to a large conference. They wanted to wanted to send you to another sister hotel but we found it a huge inconvenience that the hadn't found a way to call, leave a VM, email, text to let us know (especially since we were traveling with an exhausted infant). They then miraculously found a room and offered us free breakfast. The breakfast was very delicious. The restaurant staff were so accommodating. The hotel itself is chic, clean, and staff is friendly. We did request a mini fridge for our baby's milk that was never delivered but we made do with ice. It was annoying but fortunately not a deal breaker. I would recommend the hotel all in all.
Excellent location, good value for money in San Francisco. The rooms/facilities a little Viejunas could use an update. Wi-Fi in the normal room. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. 7/10.
The hotel is really nice. We are in the 28th floor and the view is just amazing. We had complimentary breakfast which was really tasty. Lot of options on the buffet. The rooms have amazing view. I just enjoyed my stay here.
Really bad experience. If you have the chance, select another hotel. They made a mistake with my reservation (it was cancelled before my arrival) and instead of trying to solve it the manager (Jordan) took an incredibly disrespectful attitude during the check-in. I was really surprised by the way I was treated so I decided to leave the hotel the next day. Unfortunately, the general manager (John Anderson) was even more rude, closing the door of his office in my face. At the …end I had to pay and additional fee of $190, because according with them I was leaving the hotel earlier (my reservation was originally cancelled by the hotel). It was the first time I experienced something like this in a hotel and I've stayed in hundreds of places. I definitely don't recommend anyone to stay in this place. There are a lot of other good options near.
Awesome breakfast buffet with a great spread. Combination of hot and cold items ranging from American standards, Asian fusion and Californian fare. Wide selection of pastries and espresso for a perfect ending to your first meal of the day.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… We stayed there a couple of nights over the New Year's weekend. The experience was very good; rooms clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also dog friendly, and has a park strip just around the corner for your pooch to take care of business. Walking distance to local landmarks, restaurants including the Jewish Museum and a great deli. Highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel is on par with what I expect from a Westin. The location was excellent for my purposes and the rate was very fair. The service from the front desk staff and the valley was on point. They have me a large corner room with 3 big banks of windows offering some good views of downtown SF. The only downside in my opinion it's the fairly cramped bathrooms that appear to be from the 90s. Would recommend.
A relaxing park for the family.
Very well the place but when you check out you start charging charges of everything.
Great hotel. Nice location, very central in the city. Rooms are clean and spacious. The gym facilities were good also, good variety of equipment. The bar was also nice. Great overall stay.
As a physician, I absolutely do not recommend staying here, and the poorly designed/maintained bathroom is enough for me to make that recommendation. I sustained a major fall after a shower trying to grab the towel (the only place to hang that is behind the bathroom door). Hit my brow on the toilet seat and ended up with a major black eye. Thankfully I am young and do not take blood thinners. For an older person or someone on blood thinners etc. This could have been disastrous and even life threatening. I complained to the hotel including using the twitter messaging service and the only response is "Rest assured, our team will be in touch shortly. The incident was weeks ago.

It was a very nice stay. Hotel staff are friendly and go out of their way to assist you. The room has a great view. The keyless room system is not yet working. This is definitely a nicer hotel and they do take care of you.
A fine hotel with an excellent location. In the finance district, close to Union Square, a short walk from the Ferry Building, Park Central has an excellent location. You're very close to the metro, and within walking distance of lots of sights. Beyond that the hotel is solid but unremarkable. The rooms were large, clean and comfy. I found I couldn't use the power sockets in the desk due to their placement and my plug adapter. But my one major gripe is that there was a repeated annoying door opening sound from about 6 am onwards that was audible in the room; I suspect it was the door to the nearby gym (which looked well stocked with a considerable number of machines). Staff were very friendly — particularly the valet parking — and check-in and out were fast.
Well located, can do many things camiñando the hotel is clean and confortavel. The room was spacious and bright. I'm happy to have chosen that hotel.
We stayed there a couple of nights over the New Year's weekend. The experience was very good; rooms clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also dog friendly, and has a park strip just around the corner for your pooch to take care of business. Good hotel in the convention center area. Crazy expensive parking. Better to self park for a fraction of the price at one of two garages next door. The bellman will direct you!
Rooms were clean. I was traveling for business and had a cheap room, but the view was not unpleasant. Good drinks, but expensive. Steak arrived overcooked. Shower was very nice, as was the rest of the bathroom. Definitely better than other hotels in San Francisco. Overall a great place to stay.
Beautiful hotel with great amenities. No lunch service at the restaurant, I think it's called the Maso; breakfast buffet for $29 per person. Peculiar: you not only pay for your hotel room per night, but you also pay a hotel fee, just to be there. I'm not sure why there is a hotel fee, but now you know. They have bag storage services so that when you check out you don't have to carry your luggage around if you still wanted to tour the area. It's free, just tip the bell hop if you are so inclined.
The hotel is located very central. From there you can reach by public transport or on foot. Really recommended!
If you want to have a good time in San Francisco, do not hesitate to visit the Park Central, with the best services and attentions you could ask.
The location is great! It's near plenty of food options and mass transit and it's easy to find. The facility is very modern and has most of the conveniences that you expect in a hotel, aside from at least one key feature, which is that a fridge is not included with the cost of the room. There are also some steep fees per night on top of the standard cost of the room which don't provide much in terms of amenities. The service has been adequate but we haven't had any specific requests.
Great location in Union Square. Super nice and trendy hotel. Easy check in and check out process. Easy to keep bags at bellhop if needed. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Would stay here again!
Good location, clean, the only thing wrong is Q no free Wi-Fi.
Walls were a little thin so heard phone ring early in AM once, but otherwise was good. Great location and amazing staff! Very impressed with the front desk staff.
Very good location, clean room.
Location excellent staff super professional very helpful. The restaurant inside is excellent, the breakfast that is served buffet is rich and fresh I think one of the best in the USA. Recommended.
Terrible hotel. Paid $350 for a room and it's horrible. Smaller than my master bedroom. Faces a brick building. Asked to be moved and they wanted more money. NEVER again! There are many much nicer hotels in SF over this! Do not stay here.
The best place to unwind and relax. I stayed here for my birthday and the concierge, Alyssa, gave us a free breakfast (which was DELICIOUS). Also, we upgraded to a higher floor, and she gave us the very top floor! Great view! Just the best night ever.
We are currently staying at the hotel and have two nights left. Not impressed.
At check in they offered me the opportunity to 'upgrade' the room, why not, its a romantic weekend for my wife and I with no kids. The extra charge for 3 nights was about $122.
We get to our room on the 36th floor (3617) and it looks like a bigger Motel 6 room with a comfier bed. Basic hotel room furniture, a large TV, a bathroom hardly big enough to move in and amenities… 3 cheap bottles of soap that you'd find in a Boulder Highway hotel in Vegas and two bottles of water. For close to $300 a night, I'm expecting WAY better than this.
We arrive back at our room around 10pm and settle in for some TV only to wonder what all the noise is, the elevators constantly moving and the a. C. Which is very loud. I got absolutely no sleep the first night and am not happy right now.
Went down this morning to complain and was told that the 'upgrade' was simply for a city view, I couldn't care less about a city view, I wanted a nicer room and that's what I was told I was getting… Not this.
They told me I could move rooms to the lower floors but that really just isn't enough. I've yet to see what they offer me next. Probably nothing judged on some of the other reviews.
So far, there is no way I'd stay here again and I certainly don't recommend anyone staying here. It looks swanky from the outside but once upstairs its a glorified Motel 6.
Clean and very quiet. The staff are smiling and welcoming.
The staff was accommodating and friendly during my entire stay. The view from the 26th floor was wonderful over that part of the city and into the bay. The Stevenson Street parking behind the hotel is a more affordable option than the hotel which is valet only. Note that the street to the underground parking is the immediate left after exiting the reception area. It is easy to miss and if miss will result in a very uninspiring tour of that part of the city trying to get back to the hotel.
Very nice and spacious rooms with panoramic glass on San Francisco and TV with many channels, negative side the Wi-Fi fee.
This hotel is gorgeous and the people who work there are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and a good size. It's in a good location (San Francisco is a rough area as is). You feel very safe in this hotel and like you're an important person no matter who you are. If you go to San Francisco, stay here! It's within walking distance of restaurants, bus pick up, shopping, and more.
The hotel is in an area that is easy to walk. To market St where there are a ton of shops to go to. Also the hotel itself has a very modern and clean feel to it. If I was actually staying there id feel secure, thanks to the fact that you need a key card to use the elevator. Also valet parking was easy, quick, but slightly expensive. Overall I had a good experience here.
US-style Hotel, big room, central area, MA: The room was not cleaned, despite my reshows they did nothing! Then they ask $18 x the Wi-Fi and the breakfast is not provided…
Beautiful property with a great location. Comfortable beds and all the expected in-room accommodations. However, the parking for a one night stay was going to be $100; the valet actually recommended we park around the corner. There was no hot tub, either in a spa or pool. Staff did their jobs, but not terribly friendly. With all the nearby options, I'm not sure this will be my first choice next time.
View was great from 18th floor, if only the windows weren't filthy dirty. The TV is a super cheap Phillips and half the channels on cable weren't the HD channels so the picture was mostly blurry. The bathroom had a fan, but no way to turn it on, so your mirror was fogged for 20 minutes even with the door open. No power outlets near head of bed so you couldn't charge phone near the bed. The desks have glass tops so if you use a mouse with your computer, you better hope you brought a mouse pad (right). Other than that, rooms were fine. Beds comfy enough, clean, and everything is easy to access. Parking across the street at tower parking is $23 cheaper per day and is valet as well.
I enjoyed the stay at Park Central. In a great location; walkable to Chinatown, North beach, Nob Hill, Embarcadero, and close to many many transportation. Services are great, maids and front desk were helpful. Restaurant was top notch with great lunch and dinner menus. Drinks at the bar is well crafted with traditional cocktails and even their own house cocktails. Rooms are exceptionally well kept with clean linen. They are also spacious and bright. A highly recommend stay for families, business persons, and vacationers.
Where to begin… Clean, yes. Room service, no. Early coffee service, no. Reliable internet service, no. So they ditched room service and give you a flier with local food delivery providers but have taken out the mini fridge in the rooms. WTF? Coffee available downstairs after 6:30 am. Really? If you are traveling for business don't stay here. Seriously, this place at this price point is laughable.
The Park Central San Francisco rocks! The hotel was very accommodating to all in attendence to the Periscope Summit in January 2016. The staff was extremely friendly as well as very helpful and proffesional. The hotel was gorgeous! Everything was clean and shining. I would definitely attend any other summit/social group at the Park Central San Francisco. I enkoyed the hotel so much that I have booked a weekend stay there for February 2016 and I a, very much looking forward to my stay.
O went to The Park Central San Francisco to attend the Periscope Summit 2016 and the place is freak great! Though I did not stay the night, they did offer room discoue for those in attendance. The staff servicing the summit are very friendly, extremely professional. They make sure everything is running smoothly. That the refreshments are always full and cold. The place is always clean. With so many people setting down food, drinks, and other garbage, it always promptly removed. As an attendee I feel very welcomed at The Park Central San Francisco. The hotel gave the summit enough space for the attendees to have fun and let loose, but not so much room that the summit felt too spread out. The location is great. Easy access to public transportation, but not much need for it as The Park Central San Francisco is surrounded by a variety of excellent establishments. I hope future occurrences of the Periscope Summit San Francisco, will be held at The Park Central San Fransisco. I am. So impressed with The Park Central San Francisco that I have made plans to stay there for a short getaway next month.
Most over rated hotel in San Fran ***stay away*** appearance is completely lack luster. Overly generic contemporary look. My room faces a church that rings bells every hour. And here is my favorite… NO ROOM SERVICE! I'm not kidding. When I asked how this could be the corporate response was "it was really under utilized so we did away with it". So if your staying there please be sure to use your toilet and sink regularly or they may take them away as well. They could have asked why room service is underutilized. Maybe they were ripping off customers with a $40 overcooked burger or maybe the food just plain sucked. Either is a reason to stay away. I asked the manager who is you stereotypical "yes I understand you… oh I'm very sorry to see your not happy" service industry robot. She actually pointed to grub hub as a service they offer! They don't offer grub hub. Grub Hub offers Grub Hub. That simply a put off. So enjoy you food that has steamed to death in transit and I hope you enjoy plastic flatware. Forget about the off chance you might want a drink bought to the room. I an contacting my company and begging them to use another hotel in the future or at least let me stay one one of the dozens of actual hotels in the Bay Area. Palace, Fairmont, Intercontinental etc.
A first class hotel, the stay was excellent, the location could not be better, walk to the neighborhood Chinese, Union Square, is surrounded by large shops like Levis, Puma, Bloomingdale's and there is even a Target on the return that is very economical, walking to the corner you can take any kind of public transport and there is even a decent pub just across the street service is first, to book only had a single bedded rooms and upon arrival we asked the cost of upgrade to exchange it for one with two beds and they gave it to us free of charge, the only detail is that they charge you the Wi-Fi which in these times seems outdated and abusive, they charge 15 USD for 24 hours so you can take it into account otherwise I recommend it completely.
I visited this hotel 2 month ago for the conference in Moscone. When I visit, all staffs are very nice. When I lost my wallet, the staff in front (he looks like a model) found it and call to me very quickly. Thanks again! And thanks to the staff carry the refrigerator! Have a good day :)
The views from this hotel are unbelievably gorgeous and picture perfect — those alone would make up for much worse in any other hotel. I stay frequently here and have never been disappointed — courteous and very customer focused staff, spacious rooms (at least for one), clean and hygienic and the gym is good. My only ask would be to offer more variety on the room service menu. Great option for business travel — pro tip; book on hotel tonight or spg as close to your travel as possible for the best rates.
Hello, rooms spacious, comfortable and clean, good price and excellent service at the reception by Richard, who very cordial supported us on several occasions with timely information to make more pleasant our stay both in the hotel and in the city. Congratulations on having this type of such professional employees!
Great staff at check in. Good location. Good room with all the essential amenities.
Actually, we didn't stay at this hotel. We had reservations at this hotel for 5 nights in August, until we found out what they charge to park a car there each night. Now I understand that San Fran has what might be the highest hotel prices in THE WORLD… land costs in a landlocked area. I get it. But $66.12 per night to park a car? : (That is a serious hotel management issue that they need to work on. When it costs more to park your car than some hotels in this country charge (not in San Fran) for a nights stay, something is terribly terribly wacky. We'll be cancelling this reservation along with our Starwood Preferred account. Beware the hidden costs.
Really nothing special. Out dated rooms. Average service at best — some of the front lines staff were not pleasant. For a little more money stay at the westin down the street — st francis was fantastic.
Came in off a red eye — was curious why all the Westin signage had been removed — turns out they've been sold from SPG ownership, but are able to log you starwood points through the end of 2015. Good enough, so I checked in and went up to my room. A very odd space on the 8th floor, not bad but not nice, slightly smelling of mildew and coffee. A Bad, uncomfortably close view of the office building opposite an alley. Put up with it, but complained the next day and they said they'd move me. Came back at night, and they'd put me on the 26th floor with a stunning view of the Yerba Buena lawn. Fixtures and room amenities still looked like they had hastily removed all the SPG signature signs like the fridge and TV and replaced them with generic versions. Overall, I was disappointed by my room the first night, but they moved me to one that made up for it. So great service, hit or miss quality of rooms. Amenities are normal. Fine for the price.
Great Hotel right in the middle of the city and close to pretty much everything. I got the standard room, which was then "upgraded" to the 31st floor. The room itself was very clean, and modern looking if a bit small. But then again I guess floor space is a premium here and the overall vibe is a great reflection of the city.
Beautiful, simply designed hotel in the middle of everything and just a minute walk to a lot of munis. The lobby smells like lavender. We were able to get our room 5 hours before check in which was very nice. They even held our luggage after check out. The traditional room was spacious for two people. The bathroom is a little small but no need to complain about that. The bed was amazing. Couldn't hear any outside noise at all. The view from the window by the elevators was very nice, even rode up to the 36th floor to see it from there. Never encountered a rude employee. Would definitely stay here again.
Location is awesome, right in the smack of downtown. Within walking distance to the metreon, yerba Buena park, Westfield mall, moma, and a host of other sightseeing spots in SF.
Amazing location! Love that its "backyard" is a park, a church, and a Jewish Museum, and across from that, the Yerba Buena Park! It is super convenient with kids, lots to entertain them with, without driving anywhere. My daughter rode her scooter directly from room to Quiet little corner amidst the bustle of nearby Metreon convention center. Safe to walk about in the immediate vicinity at night. Service was AMAZING. Potentially because we caught them on a slow weekend due to some computer system change which impacted their bookings. Don't know if this will repeat on our future stay, but the fact that they gave us late checkout till 4PM (! ) was absolutely appreciated. Employees at the lobby were friendly. Also just a short walk to Market St to catch Muni, and just a bit more to the BART. Taxi and valet parking also right there. We parked in the garage behind it for $35/day without in-out privilege and just walked / cabbed everywhere during our stay.
My whole experience was great, from the parking attendant (who told me to park across the street for $26/night and explained how to get my car across a busy street) to the bell hop who brought everything to my room, to the very sweet maid who cleaned my room and on and on. My room was very nice, the bed was very comfortable. It is within walking distance to just about everything. I had a great 3 night stay. I will definitely stay here again. By the way, the Marriott across the way on 4th. Costs more and is so busy and congested. I felt things were more peaceful — hope you do to.
Great central location, awesome views. Booked through Hoteltonight app and got a steep discount. Used parking structure across the street and only paid $26/day instead of $60/day for hotel parking.
The Hotel was very clean and room service crew was excellent. The Starwood Preferred Level view (32nd floor) of downtown and the Bay Area was fantastic, especially in the evening. The front desk staff, specifically Sonaj was great during my early check-in process. You're near great shopping and good restaurants. Although, the restaurant in the hotel was extremely expensive but there are several good places within walking distance. I'd definitely stay again.
If you enjoy luxury then this is the hotel for you. Great customer service and very nice rooms. I paid $450 a night for the suite I stayed in on the 20th floor. It was ever so perfect. The restaurant food isn't that great so I suggest you find an alternative place to dine. I prefer Epic Roasthouse. If you have the budget to spend big money then I suggest these locations. =).
I made a reservation for two nights from Friday 4/18/2014. I arrived at around 5:30pm and there were a lot of cars parked outside of hotel waiting for valet parking. I was there waited for 15 minutes and none of the frontdoor staffs approached and served me. At the beginning, the staff just took the key from the lady in front of me and walked away without asking if I need any help. I waited for 15 minutes, the cab behind me just keep horning and ask me to move forward, but I couldn't because the staff just took the key and left! 15 minutes later, a lady in a mercedes just cut into my way and took the street parking in front of me, a staff immediately walk by and asked if she needed any help, the staff also enforced me to leave! I feel very angry about this! I left right the way and cancelled the reservation even I don't get any refund, I don't want to have these type of people ruin my vacation.
