Booked through Expedia and had multiple confirmation emails with a hotel confirmation number and Expedia itinerary number. We even had a message from the hotel through Expedia to give us remote check-in. We were running behind and going to be about 5-10 mins late for our check-in, so I tried to call an hour ahead and no one would answer. There was no way to contact the front desk through the automated system. I called Hilton's mainline to try and have them get in touch and they told me they didn't have my reservation. When I arrived at the hotel, they had no booking, no room, and NO HELP. The main Hilton line even called them 30 mins before we got there and told them we were coming, and still absolutely no help in the middle of the night and we were left stranded. All they had to say was, "call Expedia" as if this issue had nothing to do with them. Worst service we could have experienced as Hilton Honors members. Do not recommend and will be telling everyone about our experience with Hilton, and especially this hotel.

We stayed here 7/15 & 7/16. The lobby was dark and dingy when we came in. Jorge checked our party of four in. He was very nice. We were informed that parking would be $30 per night, however there was no secure parking. The parking ticket kiosk was broken and the parking garage wasn’t open when we got there. We parked outside.
Our room was average and the headboards and furniture was scratched. The bathroom was clean and seemed updated. The refrigerator didn’t work, the Wi-Fi didn’t work either. There was no maid service and we had to call for bath towels, etc. There were no Covid restrictions during our stay so I don’t understand why we didn’t have maid service. The restaurant was completely closed and we had to go out to eat. There wasn’t a coffee pot as promised per the advertisement. We had to walk to the AM/PM next door to buy coffee. The elevators were small and one of the three elevators wasn’t working. You can also hear the people talking in the next room. We heard all of our neighbors conversations. The good part of this hotel was the bed being fairly comfortable and we had four pillows per bed. The halls needed vacuuming and I felt they were working with a shoestring staff. I only saw three employees during our stay. I feel for the rates of $200+ per night and the other fees they charge, it’s not worth the money. Parking fee for hotel guests, non working refrigerator, no Wi-Fi, no maid service, dirty carpets and trash piles in the hallways was disappointing.

Rooms are noisy. The room next to me threw a party with a bunch of teenagers and alcohol and the staff did nothing. Several lights in my room do not work. I have called the front desk — and every other department from guest services to maintenance to room service — and nobody answers the phone WHEN I AM ALREADY IN THE ROOM AND HAVE ALREADY PAID. The thermostat does not work, and I wake up in a night sweat. This place is awful, understaffed, and less appealing than a roach motel. Stay away.

I have been the DJ for many events at the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley. The staff is always very friendly and we have had an amazing time.

I’m from the east coast on business trip, The staff was awesome very helpful and extremely friendly! Tania was amazing I am celiac and so she made sure the kitchen knew of my food restrictions and kept me safe!
The Newtopia Cyder was really good.

Great accommodations for a business meeting small or large.

Awesome staff! Live on the east coast and had to submit time sensitive documents. Their Front Desk staff handled my needs and got my documents there on time! Thanks Sammie and staff!

It was great and fun very beautiful hotel I love it.

Air conditioning didn't work the bathtub is peeling and I can't believe that they charge $$27.00 a night of self parking and only half of the laundry machines work this is the worst HILTON I have ever stayed at.

They overcharged me during my stay for approx USD 800 and even after a formal complain and providing all sort of evidences am yet to receive a conclusive response from them.
Even called to Hotel three times and were not helpful and GM Jayson Zimmer is not approachable on Phone.

Clean and friendly, helpful staff.

— I had reserved a room on the 2nd floor however front desk reception offered an upgrade to 12th floor, along with complimentary snacks.
— 3 visits to front desk and +8 hours later they arrived
— No bath tub
— Pool is super small
— Hot tub loaded with chemicals it felt like a bubble bath
— No shuttles to anywhere
— Dinner was not good — rice tasted old and chicken super dry. Server very nice.

New and very nice rooms. Good breakfast. Nice fitness center. Game room is good if you have kids. Rooms with kitchenettes are great if you want to do some cooking or want to avoid eating out. Swimming pool is very nice with gas grills to grill your own food. The only minor complaints are some limited parking and a location that is a bit difficult to reach. Would definitely stay her again.

Free breakfast and free dinner at nightly happy hour. Nice rooms with plenty of room. Location not the greatest and Fox news always on lobby TV, yikes.

Stayed here four nights recently and was pretty pleased with the place. The room was clean and well equipped. Very family friendly place. Lots of families and lots of kids. The breakfast buffet was rather sparse and crowded each time we tried to use it. I think that it is overpriced for what you are getting (almost $300 per night when you include the $20 per night parking fee)

This place is great. Rooms are nice and the lobby is very clean and refreshing. The bathrooms are all gender and they have complimentary feminine products. Breakfast and cocktail hour 7 days a week. Would stay here again.

THIS place is very impressive with how comfortable it is for people traveling with big family's. Nice depth pool for kids and parents not to be worried the entire time. Definitely A+

I am disappointed with this hotel. The cleaning service was under par. No fresh towels each day. The hotel is in a poor location right off the freeway. I would have preferred a downtown location. The worst part of my 2 night stay was the rodent problem at night. The mice were scratching inside the walls in our room. The hotel staff had never had any problems according to them. Stay at a hotel in downtown. I will never stay at a Hilton again.

We enjoyed are stay and will definitely stay again. We've stayed at a lot of Homewood Suites and this one has to be our favourite! It smells brand new and was super spacious, quite and clean. We felt at home. The location was also prefect for shopping and dining. Also, not to far from the beaches and San Deigo amusement parks.

Way expensive for what you get. It is old and they charge $40 for parking plus $35 for something else.

This was a great place to stay while visiting San Diego. The location was very convenient and the staff very helpful. The daily breakfast was a good value. Our 1 bedroom unit with a king bed was comfortable for our family of 4. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place for a family stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It looks to be an ideal place for business trips too. The pool is tiny but that doesn't matter. Complimentary breakfast is good enough, just be prepared to queue for the waffles! There is also a light evening meal on weekdays with beer or wine. The suites have everything you could possibly need/want for a satisfactory stay. The rooms are well maintained. We WILL be staying again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

This Hilton was really nice. Each room has a little kitchen area with a full size fridge, microwave and electric stove top. The staff was really nice and they even accommodated a complimentary upgrade with adjoining rooms on the 5th floor. So the babies and the dog were able to have plenty of space to go between the 2 rooms. I don’t know if we were able to upgrade us due to our Hilton status but either way I was happy they accommodated us. I was really impressed with the breakfast. It is one of the best free Hilton breakfasts we have had. The bacon, egg and cheese burritos were my favorite. Also you can make full size or mini waffles. Parking is a bit much at 20 dollars a vehicle. But it is a nice hotel and everything looks newly renovated. So paying a little more for parking wasn’t so bad. The hotel also gave us a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert at the Benihana’s across the parking lot. So we walked over to dinner and then back to our hotel. We really enjoyed this hotel!

Nice decor and overall a decent hotel. To start, the reason for the 3 stars was the mold I found on some of the cookwares in the room. I know it is hard to maintain rooms with kitchens but moldy items are not acceptable. The rooms sizes we're good, the beds more or less comfortable. The parking price is a bit steep considering that street parking was available. Would go back but definitely wash the dishes before using.

First time I stayed at Homewood suites, what a wonderful experience. The food was plentiful, the breakfasts were great. Make your own waffles each morning along with 3 choices of cereal, paired with a rotation of hot choices. Dinner during the week included a choice of beer or wine.

All in all it's a pretty good place. Complimentary breakfast is nice. Rooms are nice and clean, though could be a bit more spacious. Kitchenware was a bit lacking.

Booked a king studio on accident, too small for a family of three with a 1.5 year old. Staff was able to upgrade us to different room with a separate living room and bedroom area, much better. Evening social was okay, I enjoyed the Stella on tap, but breakfast was excellent. Short drive to the zoo and everything else in San Diego. I would recommend the hotel to families traveling with a baby, just make sure to get the bigger room!

Excellent suite Hotel with great location and customer service. Large suites with full kitchenette. 15mins drive from everything in San Diego area. Parking costs $20 a night with half the spots underground and the rest surround the hotel. This cost seemed to be offset by a lower nightly price than comparable hotels. Free breakfast and complementary happy hour during the week for guests. Very satisfied with our stay, well done.

Very good, great attention. The location is perfect!

I loved how comfortable the rooms were, they were very spacious. The location was kind of isolated, but I loved it because it was quiet. What I didn't like was the fact that they were didn't have room service, but it made it up with the breakfast they served.

We were in town for our son's graduation from MCRD. We were very pleased with our room, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. 2 of us ended up sick while there and they were all very quick to help, including changing all the bedding and thoroughly cleaning the room in the middle of our stay to prevent further spreading of germs. Thank you for a great stay!

Very nice place to stay for a soccer tournament. Just hate the stay N play rule. Prices are always inflated. Friendly staff. Clean and up to date lobby and rooms. The hot breakfast is pretty good. They also offer a free dinner each night that was. Just off the freeway. But, set back so no noise. Underground parking.

So when I stay at a hotel I looks for good service and cleanliness, everything else is icing on the cake. This place goes above and beyond. It's clean, friendly staff, and they have free breakfast and dinners!

Great place for kids and the morning comp breakfast is delish. Also enjoyed the happy hour wine and beer nights.

I have stayed in Diego a ton of times on Business. I was looking for something close to Convention Center but did not want to stay at T&C. This is a great location with very friendly staff. The room was clean and large. I had taken my daughter with me on this trip and more than enough room for me to work late nad her to go to bed. The extra fee to park the rental car seemed out of line. I understand it in Chicago or Boston but this just seemed to be an extra charge they could get away with to keep rates competitive and there was the option to park in the street. Location is great and took about 10 minutes to get to the convention center with moderate Morning traffic. This is my new place to stay when in San Diego for conv center events.

Large, comfy rooms in a good location. This was my first time staying in a Homewood Suites, and free dinner and events offered were a pleasant surprise. I'd definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.

A great "home away from home" in San Diego. We stay at homewood suites when we are traveling because we like the kitchenette and the extra space. We have never had a bad experience and enjoy this hotel particularly. The staff has beenough great, the breakfasts are adequate, and the reception each night with beer and w2 is a nice touch.

Nice hotel but they fleece customers for daily parking fee. The hotel garage is minuscule and there is no gated security plus you end up competing with local restaurants patrons for parking since they don't really police it because its on a totally honors basis whether one tells them they are parking. I can't figure for the life of me why they'd charge for parking its not in a downtown area and no other homewood suites that I've been at in a similar location has ever tried such a stupid thing. I'm a Diamond and it is especially offensive and insulting to me given how much I stay at Hilton properties. If you can't make enough money off selling your rooms then raise your rates. Its not a financial situation for me but for many customers especially families you are taking $ out of their pockets that they had planned for other stuff. Also the hotel doesn't even have a valet so in the end you get absolutely nothing extra from the parking fee. There's no added security, no valet, no guarantee of even a parking space near the hotel or in the parking garage.

Very comfortable hotel. The rooms were very nice and spacious! The only drawback would be the parking situation, but aside from that it's a very nice hotel! I would definitely recommend!

I loved my stay here they had everything and it was all very clean, but I really loved is that I am 6' 2" and I didn't have to slouch in the shower. This is a real tall person problem but no worries if you stay here. I will definitely be coming back.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We called ahead to see if we could have a roll away in our room as we where going to have an extra person and where told "yes no problem" when we arrived they said that it is a fire hazard but that we could get extra blankets and pillows do the person could sleep on the floor! The floor are you serious! The downstairs basement of the parking area smells horrible and there was a dead cock roach on the floor as we exited the elevators. Now I checked my bill and they have over charged me over $200 and apparently they appoint people managers that have no authority to do anything in the hotel to fix it. You have to call back during 8-5. Why even call these people Managers? Oh and to top it off if they don't feel like resolving the issue they will just hang up on you. That employee's name was Ishmael so that guy should be just fired! Do not stay hear unless you want to be treated poorly.

While the rooms are a really good size, they don't do a good job of insulating noises from other rooms. There is a gym and laundry on site which do their intended job right but just not striving for better. Similarly, the pool is adequate but not really good. It's a weird feeling where you can't really complain because it's functioning right, but just not leaving you satisfied in how it's accomplishing it. We were caught off guard with a parking fee to park on sight and in the garage. Otherwise we'd have to fight with street parking. But if the hotel is meant for extended stays and most people are traveling in groups, why are the parking spots too small for full size cars or trucks & minivans?

Homewood Suites by Hilton was a wonderfully comfortable place to stay. Finding it is a bit difficult as it is stuck in between a Benicia and World mark which both have better signage than Homewood. Once you do find it though, everything about the facilities is great. Clean spacious rooms with all the amenities and extremely helpful and pleasant staff to help you with any difficulties you may have. The one downside is that if you are bringing a pet, they charge a $100 non-refundable deposit. I get pets can be destructive, but if they don't actually do any damage, shouldn't a deposit be refunded? Maybe don't call it a deposit, but a pet lodging fee or something.

One of the best hotels in the area, completely new. Extremely clean and beautiful contemporary decor. Breakfast area a little small but with good variety. Big suites to accommodate larger groups.

This hotel charges $18.00 a day to park while staying at the hotel which adds up after a few days. It is a deal breaker for any future stays here. More hotels are charging for overnight parking which is just greedy and not needy. However, this hotel is located in a great location in Mission Valley with restaurants and shopping nearby and easy connections to the major freeways in San Diego.

We loved the Homewood Suites! Very clean and new. Very comfortable the bed was soooo perfect as were the sheets and pillows. We liked having the fridge to keep our drinks chilled. The breakfast was decent the typical yogurt, waffle maker, eggs in a heating container. The staff was friendly! I would do it all over again!

The rooms are outdated. The lock on bathroom door was broken. The room air conditioner wasn't the best. There were hidden fees.

Very nice hotel with a big open dining and happy-hour area. The room I have is super large with a living room area and kitchen. The location is pretty close to shopping areas as well. Definitely a good place to stay.

The property is brand new and you can tell. Great appliances and nice finishes. There were some drywall repairs still needed. The TVs were pretty large for a standard Hilton and looked great. There are also a couple good food options right near by and a gas station around the corner. I enjoyed this hotel a lot.
