Day 1 and I’m already feeling comfortable. I came on vacation with my family from a small Island called Guam and the staff are very welcoming… the free coffee and tea station is amazing 🤩

Excellent service and accommodation.
But the best Rechie.

Very clean and security it’s awesome need your card/key to go up on elevator to your floor and room.

Nice clean room. Had a problem with the ac not blowing hard. But it was cold.

We enjoyed Holiday Inn express and suites San Diego Mission Village so much very clean the staff members very sweet and our housekeeper I believe her name was Yolanda on the fifth floor very good housekeeper I recommend her on the fifth floor we stayed in room 518 thank you house staff members of Holiday Inn express and San Diego.

This is by far the nicest and cleanest Holiday Inn I have stayed at. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The staff is amazing, I will definitely be back.

41/2 stars (only because the bed was rock hard) Reggie our host at the front clerk was beyond amazing! Extremely helpful, polite, and informative. He made sure we had everything we needed during our visit. Even though I had requested a room with a bath tub, through hotel. Com, we only had a shower. Which was NOT his fault at all! And He was extremely sympathetic, when finding out that I needed it not for pleasure, but for medicinal purposes. He was very respectful and remorseful that he could not accommodate me, beings as no room with a tub were available.
We were very ecstatic with our beautiful suite, with one exception. Unfortunately, The beds were very uncomfortable for both my husband and myself. Rock hard no give what’s so ever. Other than that, we would love to stay with you on every visit. Which will would be approx. Every 2 weeks as I am a double lung transplant candidate.

Very clean spacious facilities good service.

Great breakfast! Not your typical continental breakfast, they served eggs/bacon/sausage/cereal/muffin/bagels/toast/pancakes/milk/juice/coffee. Clean rooms. I highly recommend this hotel.

Overall it was a decent experience. We we're in town on business so we didn't stay much there. The continental breakfast had a nice selection. Wouldn't mind staying again. Only downside was that there was no vending machines or water fountains. You had to go down stairs and buy it at the front desk.

Loved everything about except on our first night we never got maid service, we did leave late that morning but I was surprised nonetheless no one showed up in the afternoon. Otherwise it's freshly renovated and the pool/hot tub area is really nice with the fire pit!

Pretty great for a 'budget' hotel on hotel circle in San Diego. The free breakfast is delicious! Staff is friendly and helpful. A short drive to all the attractions in San Diego. A life saving little market with water, beer, and snacks in the lobby as well. Oh, and a big screen poolside to enjoy your beverage of choice in the perfect San Diego weather. I'd stay here again.

The continental breakfast is actually pretty good. The hotel lobby and pool have a nice, open layout. The bathroom in my room is fantastic.

Fine room (got 2 queen suite). AC unit could be colder. The hotel far from any real restaurant and attraction. Nearest trolley is 1/2 mile. So public transportation is not convenient.

Awesome staff, clean hotel, great location. Didn’t care for the parking fee but that’s ok. I would definitely stay here again.

Got the top floor with a nice view of the pool. Everything was modern and clean. Nice lobby with huge television and great breakfast.

The staff was very hospitable. Water pressure is extremely poor, barely enough to rinse soap off in the shower and rinsing shampoo was almost impossible. Maintenance came in the room while we were out to relocate the coffee pot, in the process they knocked over my toiletries which were left in a storage area away from where the coffee pot was originally and I still don't understand why that occurred. We returned to our room to freshen up around 4:30 pm one day and the room had not been cleaned yet, so the housekeeper had to be called back to clean the room.

Absolutely perfect! We came here on our honeymoon vacation honestly because it was the cheapest with breakfast and was closest to pretty much everything, but were pleasantly surprised. Came in late and immediately greeted with a genuine smile. Everyone in the staff was excellent, but a quick shout out to Jay. He gave us an extended check out time, was always very kind and funny. He definately made our honeymoon 100% better. We will be coming back and I'm recommending this hotel to everyone! Thank you Holiday Inn!

Clean and very pleasant staff. However, our bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds we’ve ever slept on. Almost slept on the floor because it. Very lumpy, and creaked at the slightest movement. My back killed me when I woke up in the morning. When you spend money on a room, I think the bed is the most important part of the stay. Will not stay here again nor recommend.

Comfortable bed. They have complimentary breakfast. We arrived way into the night, Josh greeted me with a friendly smile. After registering he asked if he could do anything else but, no he did all that I needed so I thought. I by my hurry left my phone behind, he secured it. I after looking for it for a while I went to ask ih I had left it and he pulled my phone out of a secured place. Thank you.

Clean, well staffed. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. The gentleman at the front desk took time to acknowledge us and greet the children each time we came in (Jamaric, I think…). The breakfast area gets a little crowded, so don't wait until nine to go get something. There is a good variety, and the staff works hard to keep everything stocked.

Always the deal in reception is unmatched! I love to enter the room and find it spotless, the bathroom equally clean, the towels if they are white! The lighting, the decor, the friendly staff, the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness, the excellent location close to many points of interest, make this hotel my favorite when I travel to San Diego!

Very clean, has the king suite and very spacious. Everything was wiped down and carpet was clean no marks and so was the microwave and the bed sheets. The patio to the pool is super cute and the only downside is the noise cause we were near the elevators and the fact that we had to pay for parking all 4 days we were here 18 every night.

My sister stayed there. She stated that she could here the people above her late at night. Rooms are very pretty.

My first room was on the first floor, the bed was not comfortable, bathroom was not clean, the house keeping woke me up twice when I requested not to be bothered with the door tag on the door and asked for a late checkout with the concierge. Don't stay on the first floor because it's next to the dining hall and the pool, hence the room is not quite. After all the struggle, I was moved to the fifth floor and was asked to pay for that room as well. The room on 5th the floor was fairly clean and alot better but it was right across the elevator so I kept hearing people and the cleaning crew. One thing I didn't like was, the cleaning crew and guest sharing the same elevator. The cleaning crew was very rude and not respectful to the staff. The concierges Richie and Todd were very helpful and sweet. The managers should know a little better way to accommodate the guests who went to so much struggles to get a better room. The continental breakfast was not bad. It was struggle to stay at the place but my last room on the fifth floor was some what better not with the best view but it was clean, sunny and roomy!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The price is excellent, especially considering the comfortable, and new room's you get. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast is also good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.

Clean area. Easy to find. Sufficient parking, but I could see it being a problem during conventions. Good service. Good breakfast. Good size room shower and bed. Only complaint is that my door wouldn't close all the way unless I pushed it closed. Other than that good stuff.

Great friendly staff. Reggie and Richard are the best. Always about what they can do for the guest. The location is convinient to downtown and many other places. The price is reasonable. The rooms are super clean. I will return when on vacation. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel, recently renovated or newly built. Good breakfast. Extremely quiet. Only problem was the drapes did not get completely black and there was some road noise on the 2nd floor.

Do. Not. Let. The. Words of "holiday inn" fool you. This place is exceeded my expectations. Our room was incredibly clean, sparking fresh, the bathroom was large, we had 2 flat screen tvs, the furniture was new and modern, plus we had a microwave and fridge. Absolutely fantastic!

Great hotel and the staff goes out of their way to ensure your stay is pleasant. The continental breakfast is good and the pool area is great. All in all it was a great stay.

Nice hotel. Is New so it is very clean and staff is super friendly. Pool is nice and you can relax by the fire and catch the game on multiple tv's.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Although it isn't a high dollar luxury hotel, Holiday Inn did a lot to compete with them. 48" TVs in the room, a large hot tub, huge entertaining space with a fireplace and gigantic Sharp TV round out the amenities. As always, you get the delicious breakfast spread with cinnamon rolls and a pancake maker. Top notch at a great price! Good location relative to the many sights around SD.

This was an amazing experience. The staff was more than helpful and 3 to 4 minutes from mission beach depending on traffic. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool. When we were finished swimming we would dry off by their see through fire place before retiring to the room. Clean and serene!

Very clean and updated hotel. Jamaric and Reggie and front desk were very nice and accommodating. They let us have a very late check out so we could swim instead of sit at airport for hours. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic hotel. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us last minute, and we were given a great rate. Breakfast is included and was excellent. Rooms were immaculate and very well appointed. Beds are comfortable and rooms are very spacious. Pool and hot tub area was enhanced by the indoor/outdoor fireplace. Perfect night spent!

I give 5 stars to a hotel when I would happily return because the design and service exceeded my expectations. This is a brand new HIE with modern room and a great lobby that open to the pool area. I hope Holiday Inn uses this hotel as a model for future builds.

I didn't feel safe, people were digging in the garbage every morning when I left for work it was behind/next to several rundown properties. I had to request my room be cleaned with of my 4 days there. The half the equipment in the business center didnt work well, keys stuck on PC, printer didnt work. The front desk was rarely manned. I usually love Holiday Inn Express, but next time I visit San Diego I think will be staying somewhere else.

Great hotel! Stayed here for a few weeks on several occasions. No complaints except that the beds are too hard, but that's the same with almost all hotels.

So clean and pleasant to stay at. Staff was polite professional and helpful with everything. My fiancee and I were in the process of moving and the staff made our stay so much more relaxing by helping with a few special requests we had and treating us so well. The view is also really pretty because of the palm trees that are planted all along the property.

This has been one of the best experiences ever. Coming from out of state, I had to find an apartment and needed a place to stay and I am so glad that I decided on Holiday Inn. Tricia Law was a great help! She was very accommodating and made the whole process so easy. The pool was also great! Highly recommend for anyone visiting San Diego area or someone who needs a place to stay for a few days!

Amazing hotel! Was just built last year, and it shows. Rooms and lobby are immaculate. Free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, pool and hot tub. Nice outdoor seating area. A laundry room and a nice gym too.

Very clean, good sized room. Great parking. A little confusing to get to as it sets behind another hotel.

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Slept great so it's not too noisy. Breakfast bar had bacon and pancakes, biscuits and sausage gravy and more, plenty of choices. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were passing through and only stayed one night but if we were this way in the future we would stay here again.

If you are staying for a long time, the 20$ parking a day will kill you if not being able to wash your clothes doesn't first. Being a 5 story tall hotel with many opportunities to offer multiple washing machines and dryers, there is only 1 VERY small load washer and 1 decent dryer. My clothes were wet the 2nd go round. They have ice on 2 floors, leaving 2 more floors that they could have expanded for washing and drying purposes. The room I stayed in was damaged in multiple ways and took them a while to fix it. Yes there is free breakfast but it isn't good. The only part good about the paper thin hotel is the look. It is somewhat stylish, but for the sacrifices you have to make for the 160+ a night price tag, there are motels with better service.

The building seemed brand new apart from a few small signs of wear and tear, but it's a hotel so that's to be expected. The elevators were really slow, and seemed to pick people up on every floor, regardless of if it was going up or down; probably due to the building trying to conserve energy and be green. Beds were comfortable, TVs were fancy, and the breakfast was great.

Friendly staff, rooms are new clean and spacious. Military discount! Free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking. Enjoyed my stay.

I'm typing this review as a lay here wide awake unable to sleep because the walls here are sooooo thin you hear everything! Someone has been up all night and you hear every footstep and door opening/closing. This was strike three for the stay ($18 for unsecured/uncovered parking and dirty comforter housekeeping assumed you'd miss in dim light). I really wanted to like this hotel as I LOVE the large outdoor glass fireplace separating the pool from the awesome TV area perfect for watching football on all 6 screens (one huge one). I also like the fact you can only go up the elevator with a key and the huge games like checkers, jenga and cards in the lobby. It was ok for a one night stay but housekeeping step it up this is how bed bugs get started by not properly washing/sanitizing linens. Of yeah only showers in basic rooms no tub.

This review was long over, but I just never got around to it. Let me start by saying that the hotel looks great the moment you walk in the door. Friendly staff that is more than accomodating. Breakfast in the morning was great. We had a great stay and no complaints whatsoever. Not to mention, we were the first guests ever, so that made it extra special as well.

Bed was uncomfortable, shower was cold, and they charge for parking. The staff however was really helpful, and friendly. I'm not sure if I'd stay again or not, but it's unlikely.

Not a bad place but, they made me wait for more than 2 hours to check me in. I don't know any hotel take 3 hours to clean a room while a guest is waiting.

Not very impressed with my first impression I am a spire member (top tier above platinum) was not aware of the parking fee when I booked through the IHG app once I arrived and found out the best they could give me is one night free parking. It's ridiculous to me to pay so much for a hotel and be expected to pay for parking $18 a night on top of the hotel cost. Then you walk into the room to find out there is no bath tub just a stand up shower not a big deal to me but to my wife after walking around sea world all day she was really looking forward to a relaxing bath. We then realized how were we suppose to give our kids baths after the ocean so thats a addition pain. That's what I have for now will update when I leave maybe their rating will go up if things get better. They just went down another star they only have 2 cribs out of 100+ rooms. More to add they only have one high chair in the breakfast room and on top of that it's only tall enough for the small tables not the big tables which the small tables are never available. The customer service supervisor Jose is very helpful but the manager is useless.

Amazing Hotel! I've stayed in various hotel's in the San Diego area and I have to say that this is the best one so far. Great staff and comfortable rooms at an incredibly low price.
