Had a wonderful time, we had a beautiful corner room on the 3rd floor. Well worth the stay. Rooms are very very clean. Check-in was excellent easy going and friendly. Breakfast is worth every penny, our server is kind attentive and very helpful. Check out was both a pleasure and stress free. I really recommend staying here anytime.

Excellent hotel with immensely friendly staff. Be sure breakfast is included with your stay. If not, it’s $15 but still well worth it. Clean, quiet and affordable. We will stay here again.

Great staff and atmosphere. Lots of space to walk around. They have massage rooms as well that we didn't get to try, but look forward to coming back. Only disappointment was the not so well kept build your burger bar.

This Hilton Garden Inn is a fairly typical HGI experience other than the hotel is larger than normal. This can result in a fairly long walk to your room. My two queen bed room was fairly spacious. I do have to say the TVs are a bit small and the channel selection is fairly limited but it did have HBO. My room was in good condition other than the bathroom door needed some paint. Beware: some rooms will face the freeway and mine did. I turned on the air fan to constant but it still didn't come close to drowning out a freeway noise. Bring your earplugs!

King beds are hard as rock. Not the hilton Garden Sleep System that was advertised as one of the hotel's room features. After the first sleepless night I requested another room with a better bed. I got a new room, same rock hard type bed. Sleeping on top of the pillows helped a little. Still had very little sleep. Second room, half the lights didn't work and the chairs ottoman was missing. Staff were nice, maybe managment should go to Costco and buy the 3 inch or so, foam toppers for all of their beds…

The staff were very kind and helpful during my visit. My room was clean as were the other parts of the hotel. The breakfast is a good deal, especially because you are given the choice of buffet or a la carte. There were definitely many items to choose from which I appreciated.

Very nice room. Clean. Air conditioning worked great which was very important since it was 110 outside. Room service was delicious.

A very nice hotel with great staff! Breakfast was great with excellent service from Simone and Chef John. Alexis and front desk staff are friendly and attentive to guests needs. Jon at the bar in the evenings was terrific.

This is a great property with a friendly staff conveniently located near area businesses. The front desk and dining room staff were glad to serve guests and helped make for a great stay.

My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean and functional. The breakfast buffet was delicious and filling. The hotel is also conveniently located just off of the freeway with gas stations, a grocery store, and a variety of restaurants all within a mile. I would stay here again.

Hotel is in a convenient location, and although it is slightly tucked away, it's still easy to find. Rooms are nice and clean and beds very comfortable. During our stay however, at about 11:30pm we received calls and knocks on the door as a young employee made accusations that a marijuana smell was coming from our room. As we were there on a business trip and already in bed, I did not appreciate how this employee handled the situation. In addition, the room had already been paid for by my employer, however upon checkout I learned I was also being charged for the room. As the staff were just doing their jobs, it seems as though there was a huge lack of communication. I presented proof that the room was already paid for and was told that was actually a mistake, and the email confirmation was meant for someone else. This all made for a very confusing experience, hence giving them 3 stars.

Never have we ever stayed in a place that was so hospitable or more compassionate for the circumstances for the reason we were staying there. The room was so comfortable and clean never had to ask for anything. The desk people were so wonderful and bent over backward to help us in our stay there. We highly recommend this Inn.

The room is very complete, has microwave, refrigerator, bath tub. The coffee machine has a great selection.

Did stay long, just drop off and pick up my wife from a work training event. Was only there maybe 10 min max. The place is clean and the staff was polite.

Overall nice hotel in very busy area. Parking is free but shared with other businesses. Breakfast is good but not complimentary, costs $14. Only 30 minute drive to downtown San Diego and beaches. Nice and clean hotel for a family.

We were here for a doctors appointment. We lucked out that it was close to where we needed to be. The room was great, staff friendly & helpful, upscale area. My only complaint was in the hallway by our room, there were some dishes left and never picked up during our whole stay. Otherwise a wonderful trip.

Friendly staff, quiet hallways, typical fitness center, but limited surface parking. Avoid the further parking spots as they belong to other businesses. They do have an underground parking garage, but you need to check in for they key. Breakfast is great here but $13 a person. Try the complimentary hard candies at the hotel desk.

Water damage brought me here, tired, exhausted and so worried that how am I gonna fix all of issues at home … but not only they made me feel like home, the care and love I receive from each and everyone of Team coworkers and management, made me feel like being with my family! This is a nice hotel. It is close to the interstate so you tend to hear some of the road noise. I picked a room overlooking the courtyard versus the pool area thinking it would be a bit quieter. Pool areas tend to get noisy as well. The hotel is a little older and the bathrooms are small for the standard rooms. The card access garage is nice for parking. Breakfast is great, with a made to order station for eggs or daily special. I did not get a chance to visit the bar at night but the lobby area was nice. The rate seemed reasonable.

Hotel was convenient and clean. The breakfast staff was friendly and the breakfast food was good. I had two issues. 1. The bathroom door is a fire door that stays closed. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, so it always felt like 80+ degrees. 2. The air conditioning in the room had something wrong such that around 3:30 am every day, it just starts making terrible rattling and banging sounds. I did not sleep well.

Nice rooms (tho not extravagant) in a great neighborhood, with an easy walk to the local branch of the San Diego city public library; a 24 Hour Fitness franchise; a Soup Plantation restaurant and a few other restaurants. The Inn has a 5 star breakfast buffet that will more than satisfy your appetite. There is also a small evening bar. There is also very convenient access to the freeway, in addition to multiple high-Tech business parks & other businesses on the other side of the freeway. The inn is right down the street from the primary shopping mall (outdoor) in Rancho Bernardo with it's multitude of shops.

This hotel is a really good one compared with the price. Lobby is beautiful, and clean with some welcome cookies and handmade juice. Bath top is old version but clean. Room service is very good. I would like to refer this hotel to friends for sure.

This is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at in California that is reasonably priced. The rooms are quiet and spacious and the staff is very friendly and courteous. Great location and my only recommendation for improvement would be the "cookies" they serve in the evening were terrible. Some kind of oat cranberry weirdness? They were free so I can't complain. Easy five stars overall.

Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Made to order breakfast in addition to buffet. Happy hour every day. Restaurant in house. Room has everything you'd expect. Coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave. Parking was not a problem for me. The pool was under construction bduring my stay. Service was friendly.

Staff — Customer service, superb! Attentiveness and politeness from the staff was warming. Happy hour, small, quaint and friendly. Rooms — Mediocre. I expected better quality rooms, I've stayed here twice for business, both rooms were similar in quality. Area — Traffic is pretty congested because of the close proximity to the shopping center with restaurants, freeway entrance, medical center, banking and a church all on the same lot. Convenient to all of the above, uphill climb, but in walking distance. Late night — Fuel stations, 2 available 24 hours, within walking distance. Parking — FREE In the lot surrounding the hotel or the covered garage.

Have been staying here for the past 20 years, or when the hotel first opened, It is by far the best hotel in the entire area. The receptionists are very helpful and professional. Asking for amenities was almost instantly forthcoming. I have no complaints. The breakfasts are excellent and the service is always great.

The room was very tidy and smelled so nice. The staff were wonderful even helping me find a local bakery to get a cake for a friend's birthday. The breakfast buffet was delicious and absolutely loved the potatoes served with the omelette. I never got a chance to try the pool but my friend said it was your standard hotel pool. If I come back I'll surely consider staying here again.

We enjoyed our time there, staff were incredible beyond helpful. Very clean room, very spacious, loved the pool and hot tub area. I would not hesitate to recommend it as a great place to stay. Thank you for making our stay comfortable.

Overall the hotel is a nice place, about 20-30 minutes from our destinations. We tried to check in at 12, but room waxnt ready… no big deal. Then I tried at 3:30p and the room was still not ready. I tried again at 4, which is the actual check in time and they had to call housekeeping. I finally checked in at 4:15. I had a dinner to attend at 5:30 so this was a tight time frame to get ready add arrive on time. All in all, if recommend the hotel and stay was friendly.

Hotel is very nice and in a good location in Rancho Bernardo. Beds are a little stiff, but thwy finally have good pillows. Service is excellent and friendly. Food is good. Breakfast is not typically free. There is a good but small bar for dinner and drinks. Nice pool, small gym, has all the amenities I expect. I would recommend.

Tried to call for room service only to discover there was no cord for the phone therefore no service! A cabinet above the microwave was broken and hanging by one hinge. A piece if plywood sticking out between the box spring and mattress unsightly. Overall old place need to be seriously remodeled. Will never return.

Clean, friendly front staff. Rooms were basic but clean. The AC worked fine the whole time we were there. Microwave in room is good. The location is close to lots of eateries and fast food places.

Very nice staff. The decor in the lobby is nice. The breakfast buffet is very good and the staff is very friendly. The bathroom in the hotel room gives you a nice warm feeling and there's a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms which are also a plus. The hallways leading to the rooms and the color of the doors are kind of bland. It feels like you're walking through the hallways of an old cruise ship but maybe some people like that sort of thing. It doesn't give you quite the warm welcome as you're walking down the hallways as you would feel if you were staying at a Hampton Inn or a Residence Inn.

Beautiful hotel. Love the lobby and food area. Nice King suite with 2 bathrooms. Didn't like that there was no central air just noisy window unit air conditioners. Nice front desk staff. 25 min from San Diego attractions like old Town.

Nice location near the wineries and interstate. The restaurant and bars in the area close early, which means a quiet night. The Wi-Fi works well and the beds are comfortable.

Beautiful hotel! The lobby was very welcoming and lively with guests. The bartender was very sweet as were the other staff. A group got a little loud, but seemed to be having a great time. The staff was cordial with them and relocated them so they could continue to have fun. The actual room was spacious and comfortably appointed with nice furniture and linens. Our room had a Keurig, mini fridge and microwave. Great water pressure in the shower. Only complaint was the digital TV service — several channels crackled throughout. Thus we watched the NBA finals in the bar. The Wi-Fi worked great though (were able to stream Netflix) and they provided free underground parking. Smoke free hotel and you can tell, it smelled fresh. Also had a nice patio out front off the bar. Close enough to San Diego to get into city center within 30 minutes but then retreat to some quiet after the crazy. Cotijas tacos is within walking distance and was great, and a nice little bar called Kelly's Pub was just a short drive down the same road. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

My wife and her father stayed there for 3 night. Hair dryer needed replaced and still didn't work afterwards. Blanket were toreup and it looked like pet hair was on it. Definitely felt like she was staying at a motel6

It was a nice hotel. They should offer a complimentary breakfast. Its a huge reason why we pick a hotel. If we knew that you had to pay we would not have chosen it.

Attending a 4 day class. Comfortable lounge for breaks, coffee provided in the morning, water located in our room. Having to reconnect to Wi-Fi after walk across the Street for lunch was annoying. No microwave was available for our use.

I just spent 4 nights at the hotel and want to say that the staff that I came in contact with were really terrific. The women at the bar in the evening immediately got to know myself and my colleagues. They were happy to see us every evening and asked about any missing members of our group of four. The gentleman who waited on the tables for breakfast also was wonderful. He recognized us every morning and also asked where the rest of the group was. Extremely pleasant stay. Especially considering the long days of hard, physical work we were doing, to be able to come back to the hotel, be recognized, treated like we were welcome, belonged and be able to get a hot meal in the comfortable bar area.

Stayed here for a wedding and had multiple back and forth communication to ensure I had the wedding rate for both nights of my stay. (I originally couldn't get both nights, but made sure to call back numerous times until I was told both nights could be included in the wedding block. ) However, when my credit card was charged, the lower rates were not reflected. After speaking with three different people I was told that I never should have been promised the reduced rate in the first place and that they couldn't do anything about it. Even after showing them an email confirmation, I was told: "That email doesn't look like it came from us. " So, because of their miscommunication, it ends up being the customer's fault. Oh, and the rate I was charged ended up being even more than any previous rate I had seen online. Very poor customer service all around and no clear reasoning for all the varying rates. If you have to stay here, book online only and check the charges. Truly unfortunate they'll lose customers over an issue that could have easily been resolved.

Driving into the Hilton is a little hard because there is so much around the hotel, but once you're inside wow. It's beautiful, hidden and luxurious. There was a pumpkin contest, wine night, and a dressed up staff that was ready to get trick or treating. The rooms were spacious and clean. The pool, while small, still has all the ingredients of fun. Great times.
