We stayed at The Bergson for the first time in 2017. We loved it. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary. We are going back in June 2019 for a week. Can’t wait to spend another heavenly week in wine country.

Every time we visit Napa, The Bergson is the place we stay at. Very nice and romantic. Sometimes it can be a little pricey for some but it's worth it to at least try it once. Always booked so plan ahead.

Hotel was perfect for our trip to Calistoga for a Few days. The rooms are actually better than they look on the websites which is a first for us. It is only a few blocks walk into the centre of town so was great to park the car up for a few days (there was ample parking). There was a great buffet breakfast which we brought up to our private balcony. Air con was good as was the double jacuzzi bath and the big TV. Some rooms are on the main road so some might hear the cars but they are well inslolated so I did not. Overall, I would recommend this as a great place to stay in Calistoga and will recommend to others.

Beautiful and lovely hotel in a quiet and calm area. The rooms are spacious, clean and let you feel at home. There was a beautiful outdoor seating patio with a fountain and lots of trees and flowers. The place seems like a small paradise and is very good located for cheching out the Napa Valley and for winery tours. Breakfast buffet was limited in choice but nice! I can highly recommend this place.

Really cute grounds and lovely room. Plumbing was suspect as the toilet had some issues flushing and there was a leak under the sink. Breakfast was standard fruit, coffee, pastries, etc. Really close to the downtown Calistoga area. Service seemed polite but rushed. Would stay again however!

This place is amazing! The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and beds are really comfortable. The staff are amazing! Anything I needed, just asked staff and they were very accommodating! I'm super picky about cleanliness and this place superseded my expectations!

Large, well presented rooms, with great bathrooms. The hotel is quietly elegant and central to town. The staff are polite and friendly; it's an ideal place to relax and enjoy what Calistoga had to offer.

Room 203, very clean and well maintained. Bit close to the noisy road but good air conditioning makes it easy to keep the windows closed. Fresh continental breakfast each morning. Could have done with a fridge but onsite ice machine was a good compromise.

Amazing cozy and romantic place. We got an awesome room with outdoor fireplace. Worth every penny.

Went with 2 girlfriends for a fun friends getaway weekend. We had a downstairs room, which was cool cuz it had a private patio. However, we could hear the guests in the room above walking around… (that's all we heard, if it had been a romantic situation I would have been a bit irked) note that there is a jacuzzi tub that would fit 2 ppl if staying as a couple, so that's cool, but as friends it's good to note that there is no door on the room with the shower/tub and the shower is a big glass window that can be seen by guests sharing the room. So basically you gotta be ok showering in the open with your friends. Breakfast was okay, nothing spectacular but provided a decent base for the first round of wine tasting. I would definitely stay there again.

Flexible with check-in time. Breakfast was standard — — granola, whole fruit, toast, etc. Rooms are small but cozy. Nice art and friendly service.

This is a very well maintained place. The rooms were very clean. Friendly staff. The breakfast was pretty decent. Our room was on the second floor and they didnt have an elevator, so had to carry the bags up the stairs. Otherwise a great place to stay.

The noise from the traffic was incredibly loud making it very difficult to sleep. Don't let them put you in room 203. The breakfast was average.

We originally had planned to make it to Calistoga by 11 a. M. Unfortunately, our plane didn't get us to San Francisco until 9 p. M. I had to call The Bergson to setup after hours check in. Their normal check-in ends at 10 p. M. The lady on the phone was very accommodating to the situation. She gave me step-by-step instructions on how to get into the room. When we arrived, the key wasn't where she said it would be. I walked over to the lobby/reception area. There's a phone outside that you can call for help. I called her up and told her we couldn't get it. She hurried over in her pajamas to get us in the building. She arrived a few minutes after we hung up. I think they did have everything like they said, but someone moved the keys and stuff next to our room door. However, you can't to the room door without the key for the hallway. I really don't think it was a mistake on their part. I think someone was just trying to be helpful. We finally make in the room! It was cute, small and cozy. I loved it had a fireplace, which is something this Florida girl isn't used to. The bed was a queen-size and comfy. The bathroom was clean and had some nice toiletries available. The next morning, we went over to the reception area for breakfast. It had a decent selection of food with plenty of vegetarian options. When we checked out, we spoke to the same lady about some recommendations for nearby wineries. She recommended the Sterling Winery and Castello di Amorosa.

Very nice Hotel with a "dinky" rooms. Centrally located. Very friendly staff. Everything is excellent for a visit in the Napa Valley. There were already two times here and also come back.

One of my favorite places to stay in Calestoga, unique rooms, awesome whirlpool bath tubs, patios with fountain, nice continental breakfast, quiet guests.

When I came here the place was great but the partner I was with was bad choice she was a bore next will be a better one if YOUR A CHEAT THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.

Good hotel (ask for a quiet room), good location, extremely good and nice service workers, bathrooms are aging, rooms are nice.

Small boutique hotel, comfy (albeit small) rooms with all the essentials, friendly staff, great Wi-Fi, good location near downtown Calistoga, and good breakfast options. It is right along a main road so request a room in the back to mitigate the noise.

Wonderful, wonderful place to stay. Breakfasts were phenomenal. Can get noisy with the traffic so bring earplugs, but the staff could not have been nicer. Gotta go back-just need to find a time.

We stayed here after a mud bath and an afternoon of wine tasting. The rooms are very cozy with a fireplace. The perfect retreat for a relaxing stay. The hotel is close to down town Calistoga and they gave us coupons for 10% off at Brannans. Very good restaurant with live music. The complementary breakfast in bed was something that you would get at a 5 star hotel. Christopher's B&B is a perfect place to stay in Calistoga.

I was planning to give a good review about the place but not after our A/C ordeal. It was 101 degrees during our stay in Calistoga. Our A/C unit went out Saturday early morning. We were out and about all day Saturday, returned to our room late afternoon and A/C still wasn't working properly. Let the front desk know about it and they were looking into it while we went to dinner. Came back from dinner and they had decided to move us to another room with a working A/C unit. New room was a Queen sized bed, instead of a King sized bed that was in our original room. My husband is 6' 7" and Queen sized is much too small for both of us so it was a very uncomfortable night. I requested some kind of refund back on our room and all they could come up with is $50 (room rate was $450+/night) refunded to us. Also found the lighting in the bathroom is really poor and shadowy and no full length mirror. Did like the fact they kept Port wine in each room though.

Breakfast is tiny. Per person: itty bitty cup of granola, itty bitty cup of fruit/yogurt, bite sized scone. No chance of seconds. I called for more because it was gone in 25 seconds and was told "The kitchen is closed. " I tried to get more milk for my coffee but they screwed up my request and just gave me an extra pot of coffee. Had to go elsewhere for coffee. Breakfast too for that matter. I really think that if they are going to call it a "Bed and Breakfast" they should actually give you breakfast.
