Walking distance from the main street and area of Calistoga. Was pleasantly surprised that the jetted tub was separate from the regular bathroom and was sourced from the hot spring, which did have a strong sulfer smell but the front desk kindly offers essential oils to add to help.

Good location. Clean rooms. Good prices. Plus, there's a pool.

Very nice, quiet and private . Just couple of blocks from calistoga downtown nice restaurants and bars. Recommended.

We were fire evacuees. They were so kind and an actual comfort at a really scary time. It's a lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. I can't wait to go back for a vacation.

We have been staying at Carlin a few times a year for thirty years. We would recommend this to anyone. Try their Jacuzzi rooms for a romantic getaway.

I really love this place. The only knock I have against it is the water pressure is kinda low.

We stayed Novemer 3rd, 2017 for one night. It was not our first choice, but was part of a wedding party. They told us minimum 2 night stay was required, but would make an exception. They still charged us two nights! after two seperate people told us that they would only charge one night… wow! Get it in writing the owners are crooks! The room is definitely dated, some of the electrical outlets did not work and furniture was broken. I would be nice calling it a dive for $200 per night. we arrived after hours anf no instructions for Wi-Fi. Had to arrange for the keys through another family staying there. I will never stay here again…

I got a suite and I was expecting good place for the price.

Big cleaned space with kitchen, fridge, dinning table, living room and free parking space as well as friendly staff. What else can you ask for?

Location was great. Spent two nights. Groupon for $99 each night. We got what we paid for. If we had paid more we would have been very upset. 1950's style. Air condtioning not enough to cool whole cottage. Biggest issue with the Carlin, the floors. My husband walked through the cottage (in & out carpet, tile flooring) with bare feet, went to the shower, turned on water and mud dirt floated in tub off his feet. We didn't go without shoes. No attention to detail. Hoping we don't get charged for what was broken when we got there.

Do not stay here. Owner will add charges to your bill to fix their property, which needs maintenance. Jacuzzi is cracked and rusty. Floors and carpet are not clean. Place needs work before having guests.

The facility was old. The pool closes at 9pm! The plug only worked if you left your cord having half way out. The shower was so small a 6 year old would be cramped in there. The shower curtain seriously lays on you while you're trying to get clean. The price was decent for being in Calistoga. Overall I would stay here again for the price and location. Don't plan on using the Wi-Fi, sooooo slow. My phone works faster using 1G. The table was sticky from the last guests.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was warm.

I have been staying here during my visits to the wine country for nearly 7 years now. I have never had a bad experience staying here. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. The property is easy walking distance to downtown Calistoga. The pool is nice for relaxing as are the bistro tables placed all around the property. It's great to sit out, relax near a table, and just enjoy the silence that this property affords you.

Jacuzzi didn't drain, so hot humid water all night. Jacuzzi thermometer had broken glass (no mercury left, we hope). Bathroom window (only ventilation) opened onto a neighbor's living room, so my wife was potentially exposing herself to strangers. Shower pressure too high, hurt my skin. Front desk not always staffed during office hours. When issues brought up, no change or information for a day, and then a room change with no compensation for our trouble. A great location, but there's a bigger, better staffed hotel and spa 20 seconds away (walking) for comparable price.

Lovely little cottage with living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Good location, walking distance to downtown Calistoga. Could use updated carpets. Nice little pool and jacuzzi, in the middle of the property. Really warm water, which we enjoyed. The driveway wraps around the pool, which is a bit weird, but only til you are in the pool. Then you don't notice it anymore. They even have barbecues outside the cottages. This is a fine little place if you don't want to break the bank, and are going to spend most of your day zipping around Napa Valley.
