I can’t even put it into words. A beautiful, peaceful spot, great soak, excellent staff. The little town of Calistoga is delightful, quality dining.

Beautiful grounds and reminiscent of resorts from the 50’s. Makes you feel as if you are far away from everything. Calistoga is a beautiful town.

Gorgeous grounds and spa! Didn't stay on the property for this trip, but my wife enjoyed the goat's milk and rose petal soak and signature facial. The staff was friendly, accommodating and very professional. We can't wait to visit again and stay on the property. We look forward to enjoying the pools, bikes and all the things! :)

Wonderful place to stay. I loved the scenery, hot spring pool, mud bath, massagechickens, fire pit, water features, definitely will visit again, hopefully a yearly visit.

As a guest who has spent many nights at Indian Springs over 20+ years, I just had by far, the worst customer service experience with a hospitality company in my life, trying to deal with Chris Costas, the GM. Apparently, he doesn't value long-time, loyal repeat customers. The property is terrific and the Merchants who own it, have done a great job improving it. But I would caution any guests in advance, that if you run into a customer service issue, Chris Costas doesn't value "the customer is always right" slogan.

What an amazing reboot! There is something magical about this resort. I can’t explain why it’s so rejuvenating in simple terms. You just have to soak in the huge, Olympic sized, hot springs pool for a bit, viola, renewed and relaxed. I created a practice of coming every couple of months, even just for one night, when I feel depleted and about to loose it. Every time, I’ve left feeling energized and pampered.

Very relaxing adult-only pool (they also have a larger pool for families), with nice cocktails and good food available. The town of Calistoga is small and pleasant, with several nice shops and restaurants.

Oh my, I’m in love with this place! I’ve just had the 2 most relaxing and amazing spa days. I definitely recommend this place for total relaxation, chilling out in the thermal pools and incredible spa treatments. Loved the mud bath. I’m a bit claustrophobic, but the women doing the mud baths were amazing. Every person I encountered or was given a service by was incredible, caring and attentive.

Staff was friendly and helpful and they atmosphere was so relaxing!

The food was great, from the mud bath to the couples massages, we felt rejuvenated. Professional and friendly staff. We have gone there twice and we will continue going back.

The spa is fantastic! Service and cleanliness. The pool is out of this world.

Expensive enough. Not allowed to bring any food or drink to the pool or listen to music. Rooms are lovely but staff round the pool not too friendly.

One of the best massages ever then time spent in hot mineral springs Olympic sized pool very relaxing the rooms were not cheap.

Fabulous laid back atmosphere. Loved riding the hotel provided bikes to mineral pool and restaurant. Food was exceptional.

A really unique spot in Northern California. I keep returning for the large pool and the vintage spa environment. The seem to manage the temperature of the waters so it feels nice at any season.

Take the waters. This place has magical pools, a laid back vibe and if you go mid week can be ultra mellow. Park the car for a couple of days and cruise around on bikes enjoying the lovely town. The only downside is having to drive back home at the end of it all.

We went for brunch and the food was great! They are known for the churros, and it comes with a dip that makes them really good, definitely recommend. The venue was beautiful and well kept. Our only complaints are that the service is a bit slow and there were a lot of flies in the patio (where we had our food).

TIP: To get the best of both worlds if you don't want to stay the night and still use the mineral pool. Get a spa treatment during the week (M-F) on the off-season and you will get free use of the pool from 10am — 7pm. If you want to feel like you've been in a 10 day meditating retreat just visit these amazing mineral springs. Five hours in this water had me feeling as relaxed as a 10 day meditation retreat. The waters truly do relax and invigorate. I highly recommend the mud bath. It is both relaxing and calming. You will feel invigorated afterward and your skin will be incredible! The staff and hotel rooms are impeccable. It is THE BEST mineral spring I have found in the Calistoga area. It is great for families too!

Really nice place to stay, with a great atmosphere. I enjoyed the food at Sam's Social club. Would definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends.

Amazing place beautiful! Had massage by Jana was fantastic. Had just tweaked my neck night before could barely move it. And she addressed it well. Only negatives we're don't recycle and they were running low on beverage/snacks. Easy to move around grounds. Loved the Buddha pond so peaceful. Spring feed pool amazing. And wasn't too busy so able to use floaties.

This place is an super awesome place to relax and get away! They are located near a Geyser so the pool water is filled with year round hot water and has minerals that are healthy for your body. The service was super nice and calming. The massages were excellent and they really know how to make you feel comfortable! I would go there again!

Gorgeous place. The pool is the best takes you back in time. The temperature of the pool is a bit of a shock at first being 92 (f) but you quickly get used to and just float all your worries away. The cottage rooms are perfect. Very spacious, clean and easy access to the other onsite activities. Hands down brilliant place to stay! Warning: the Spa treatments are not worth the price!

The perfect getaway! Very relaxing. You can't help but take life a little slower there. The spa and mineral pools are very calming to the soul.

Absolutely love this place. This was my go to spot several times a month while I lived in San Francisco. Massages were great and the prices were very reasonable.

The staff here is beyond amazing. I took my bestie here for her 30th birthday and first mothers day. They made it an experience we will never forget. This is definitely a yearly thing! The price is a little steep and I wish we could go more but it's worth every penny.

I’m absolutely in love with this place
My friend & I had the mud bath treatment and it’s exactly that a mud bath. The atmosphere is going to look like a mud bath, it was very hot the cool shower after feels fantastic. Followed by a very warm bath and steam room. Than a rewarding relaxing private area to rest with cold cumbers on your eyes.
It may not be for everyone so research what it entails before booking. The resort is beautiful
Outside the mud room (not saying the mud room is horrendous) beautiful pools. Bicycles to ride. Nice fire pit at night.
There’s more to see yourself. I will be returning soon.

Best spa experience ever! My friends and I did the Mud + Massage and loved the experience. The Buddha gardens and pond are beautiful and nice to relax by after your treatments.

Great place to go for a weekend getaway in Northern California. The heated outdoor mineral pool is open late. Perfect for floating under the stars at night. Sam's Social Club is a great place for dinner and it's only a few minutes walk from the bungalows.

I had a wonderful stay here. Each of the staff I encountered was really nice, smiled and seemed genuinely interested making my stay enjoyable. I swam in the warm pool with only a few other people near midnight as the full moon came up.

We stayed in a room overlooking the geyser pond. The beds were comfy and for the most part the room was quiet, but we could hear the people below us talking and shutting their curtains. Luckily we did not hear them late at night or early in the morning. On the day you are leaving be sure to put the do not disturb sign on the door if you leave the room or the cleaning crew may come in and start cleaning your room even if you haven’t checked out like they did us. All of our stuff was in our car so it looked like we we checked out but we didn’t. So make sure the sign is on the door so no one goes in your room. Another problem is the staff members that were cleaning our room did not understand or speak any English. So when asking about our room they had no idea what we were saying which was really sad.

Think Twice: Expect Babies, Kids and Rowdy Adults. My friend and I travelled to Indian Springs for two days for deep decompression and relaxation. What we experienced was anything but. During the day, the Main Pool was overrun by children of all ages. While there is an Adult Pool, this one is smaller and kept much cooler (if I wanted to relax in a bathtub, I would have stayed at home. ) Is that it? No. Babies crying, kids cannonballing off the deck, getting into spa water fights, splashing relaxing patrons, yelling, and most likely peeing right into those therapeutic waters. Bad manners confined to just the pool area? No. My friend was awoken in our room (after her deep tissue massage) by the sounds of heavy-footed kids running back and forth above us, opening and slamming doors, investigating ever inch of their temp home. We requested and received a room change. But, we had to move? Why not make the Loud Family move? Better yet, why not sequester them to a family-friendly area of the resort? Just the kids with bad manners? Nope! At night, the pool was guarded by a group of rowdy adults, surrounded by Coors beer cans, chain-smoking their way up and down the pool deck and taking in the warm fireplace a bowl of marijuana. There didn't seem to be any time of day or night that we could relax and "take in the waters", find solace, space, or quiet. I'm thoroughly disappointed. I actually think my friend deserves a refund. This was a terrible trip.

Wow! We went to celebrate Valentine's Day… arrived after dark and headed straight to the mineral pool. It was open till midnight… Floated around the warm water till it closed. Next day spent the afternoon at the spa. Enjoyed the mud bath, which included a follow up warm bath and sauna. Immediately followed up with a couples massage… and then headed straight to the pool again. We had a great dinner at Sam's club… You truly don't want to leave. Highly recommend this experience-

Wow! What an amazing experience! The grounds are amazing, the rooms overlooking the springs were very comfortable and the service here is great! We stayed here for three days and never drove anywhere, walking distance to town and all nice restaurants and shopping. We went to the pool daily for an hour or two and just relaxed in the room, room patio, hammocks or rode the free bikes! We did not get a spa treatment and I don't think it's necessary if your'e not into it, just the pool experience is great! Rooms were priced according to the service (almost $400/night). Grounds 10/10. Room 10/10. Pools 10/10

Rooms in the lodge we're nice enough, cozy bedding, nice bathroom. There was a little noise from neighboring rooms. The hot pools are amazing. The on-site restaurant, Sam's Social Club made for a romantic and tasty evening dinner. A slightly funky old Calistoga retreat that has been modernized just enough to still feel a little luxurious.

So pleasantly surprised by our last minute weekend trip here. The Main pool is so relaxing! With our 2 and 4 year old, it was nice that we could enter in a very shallow end. Pool floats and noodles are plentiful. Change rooms were clean and well stocked with towels, lockers, hair dryer and soaps/hair products. Snacks and free ice water available poolside. Even on the past holiday weekend, it was not overcrowded. Recommend to bring flip flops as robes are supplied by the resort. Rooms were simple and clean, comfortable furnished. Would definitely come again. Next time considering a cottage.

This hotel is one of the best that I have ever stayed at. Every detail is thought of. The rooms are very well equipped with fridge, coffee/tea bar wine glasses and even a wine bottle opener. The service from the front desk is second to none and make you feel like you are a priority to them. I will definitely be coming back.

Big pool is the highlight. Spa mud bath was ok, but I won't do it again, felt like a car being assembled and moved from one area to the next. Rooms are good, but DON'T stay on the bottom floors, you can hear upstairs walking around all day.

Nice location, lovely hot springs. One big pool, one smaller adult only pool. Both very warm. Downtown Calistoga is a block away and has lovely restaurants.

Loved this beautiful retreat. The rooms are lovely, the restaurant is very nice, the service great, and the Olympic size pool filled with 102° naturally volcanic heated spring water is so relaxing.

This review is for Sam's Social Club rather than the whole resort. Great menu artfully done. Some wonderful wines on the list and their own beers are great.

I used to like this place because of its location and the spa services. But recently I noticed that they increased their prices ~$150 min for 50min facial or massage + $50 if you want to use the pool. Which to my recollection, you didn't have to pay extra for the pool if you were already paying for a spa treatment. The masseuses are great and products are good but this is way too pricey now to treat yourself just-cause.

So relaxing and fun! We came for a parents weekend away. Room was comfortable, pools were amazing and there is so much to do in the property! Lived biking around, wandering into town and having good meals at Sam's social.

Disappointing. Been staying here for 20 years. Came back this year after a 3year hiatus for my wedding anniversary. Used to be the greatest place in the area, now staff are passive aggressive and to get your room cleaned you need to call the front desk? No Solid customer service approach. Was great back in the day… now…? I loved this place. Hope they can turn it around.

We had a beautiful trip for a bachelorette weekend. The rooms and beds are very nice and comfortable. The hot spring pools are fantastic. I can't wait to come back with my family!

Let me first start by giving the hotel portion of this review praise — the only reason this property is receiving more than one star. If this was a review solely for the hotel: it would be a solid 5. However, my mud bath experience was nothing near luxurious. I won't go into the extreme detail of the mud bath… but if you like: No privacy, unsanitary conditions, being rushed through a bright — lit facility (naked) with several other guests around you and half a dozen staff starring at you, the dirtiest steam room you've ever seen, and a "relaxation" room that all you can hear are screaming employees on the other side of the wall… this place is for you! Paying $100 to go through all of us, and not having amenities on property similar to any other spa you've been too. Zero luxury showers or bath amenities, no hot tub, tea, sauna, misters, wait staff for food… ugh, I still feel dirty two days later! Pros about hotel: amazing room! Bikes Yard games A beautiful pool & great bartenders (at sams social club only)

Fun mid-century vibe. Friendly, helpful staff. Expansive grounds with areas for bocce ball, etc. Spacious, attractive rooms. Everything was well-maintained and clean. Olympic-sized pool with mineral water, and separate adults-only pool. Nice spa. I would have liked better food and drink options at the pool, more in keeping with the type of resort that it is. Only negatives: uncomfortable pillows and loud air conditioners.

Gorgeous and easily accessible to the downtown, but felt extremely private and lush. Love the bikes for use, the lemon water everywhere, the games sprinkled throughout the property. Soaking in the mineral pool late at night in the rain was incredible! I highly recommend!

Went for the spa and pool. Felt it was pricey, but a unique offering. Spa service was good. The pool was recently redone — nice amenities, spacious, clean. I would return.

Gorgeous grounds. Great place to walk around, lounge. Also, excellent location just a couple blocks from the main walk-around Calistoga area. The buddha garden/pool was very unique, and lots of interesting touches around the property. Only suggestion is for them to improve the reception desk staff. We had a very dry obviously bored staff member. They didn't tell us anything about the many features of the property (no mention of morning coffee, free bikes to borrow, buddha pond — if I missed something it's because I never was told about it). All the other staff members were very friendly and great — especially the spa workers.

Who knew rolling in the dirt was so much fun! Seriously, the mud bath was a great treat for the body and skin. Afterwards, taking a long dip in a mineral bath followed by a massage releases years of tension. Every step of the process from check-in to guiding you through the spa package of your choice was not only seamless, but everyone made you feel so comfortable and at ease while being in your birthday suit most of the time. The property harkens back to the early 1900's with well maintained grounds and local art work everywhere. If a trip to Calistoga to venture into hot springs and to try mud bath is on your bucket list, Indian Springs is place to go hands down.

Friendly staff, good food and drinks at a fair price. Wonderful environment. Can't wait to go back.

We hosted a bachelorette weekend at Indian Springs with high hopes. We were met with rude and unaccommodating staff the entire visit. They wouldn't even give us an extra towel at the pool! On our last night, we had a BURGLAR enter our bungalow through our bathroom window while we were sleeping. They stole multiple Iphones, a bose speaker, among other things. It turns out the bathroom window was missing a security piece that all other windows have. The hotel manager, Kevin, said that they could not assist us and to contact our insurance agency for any reimbursements. The property is clearly unsafe and we were completely violated. This was by far the worst hotel experience we've ever had. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Spend the extra $$ and stay at SOLAGE down the street!

Great getaway for a few days. Super pool, spend your time simply enjoying the warm air, pretty grounds and quiet town. I prefer new hill view rooms or bungalows for the cost. Sams is delish.
