We absolutely loved Staying here on our little getaway! It was so quiet, relaxing and so close to the beach.

We go to rest, relax, and enjoy nature, and the rooms are awesome, jacuzzi tub, fireplace, comfortable and the service is excellent. It is our "home" away from home! Highly Recommend!

Nice staff, decent continental breakfast, nice bed and pillows!. Quiet, conviniently located by Asilomar State Beach, better than Asilomar way better, less noisy.

Really nice room. Clean, the fireplace was a fun bonus. Parking was easy out front. 3 stars because the breakfast was nasty. New muffins were placed on top of old moldy green muffins. The breakfast room was dirty. I didn't want my kids to eat anything in there. Milk was on the counter without being chilled. The health Dept needs to visit them.

I booked this place on a whim and I am not disappointed. This is in a great location. Just ten mins from Monterey’s Cannery Row and a short walk/drive to Asilomar State Beach. I didn’t care for the breakfast as it was just cereal, coffee, and waffles, but there are so many other places to go when you’re here that it shouldn’t even matter. The room was quaint with a spa tub. It was a little old, but that’s not even an issue. Overall, I will come back again since it was quiet and if you listen closely you can hear the waves crashing.

The location of the hotel is amazing and super close to the beach; however, the "breakfast" could improve… It is mainly just cereal, which is why I gave this 4 stars out of 5. Everything else was great!

I have had the opportunity to go twice and I loved it, the area is very quiet, the cabins are beautiful and very cozy, you breathe fresh air and it is very relaxing. The service is very good and very friendly. They include breakfast, but it is a small restaurant where you must prepare whatever you fancy; Not much variety.

We loved this cute little cottage. Staff was nice. We even got our room upgraded.

It was a nice hotel with comfortable rooms, it's just feeling a bit tired. Nothing really bad about it but it ended up just feeling functional when it could be a bit special.

This place is very pleasant, peaceful, & clean… it is a very short walk through the asilomar grounds to a beautiful beach! I must say I have been all over monterey and surrounding areas, and this beach takes the gold! The front desk staff were amazing, super helpful, and very pleasant! I only knocked off a star because the breakfast is not very good and when I turned on the jacuzzi tub hair came out of the jets (i was a little grossed out but not enough to deter me from my bath) … will definitely be coming back!

Don't stay here! They overbooked their rooms and after a long day of travel we were left without a place to stay. I had even secured a room with a 300 pre-auth. When we arrived the front desk wouldn't help us find an alternative hotel and was very rude. We asked if they could recommend somewhere close she said there was nothing. I was assured that my credit card wouldn't be charged. But this was untrue, and I was charged for the full amount! I now am fighting to get a refund. Stay somewhere else.

Beautiful place to stay right on the beach. It's like a mini apartment with a huge spa tub. Everything is in walking distance. Gorgeous views right behind the place. You can here the ocean waves from the bedroom window.

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired and the AAA star rating belies how tired the facilities are. I would strongly suggest staying at the Asilomar Conference Center (the name doesn't give it justice to the ambiance) and is much more reasonably priced, and has food facilities on the location. In addition, the Pacific Garden Inn is a much better option. Our room had peeling wall paper, cob webs, torn carpet down to the bare floor, and generally unkempt facilities. In addition, the outdoor furniture is not clean (covered in mildew), so you can't even enjoy the outdoor beauty of the area.

I loved this place! Cute and quaint grounds and the room was awesome! Very clean and spacious with a kitchenette and a living room. Also the location was perfect, about a 5-10 min walk to Asilomar beach which was beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!

The location is great! A hop skip and jump from asilomar beach. The breakfast was up to par as hotel breakfast goes. A bit stale on the fruit loops, but no self-respecting person would eat fruit loops anyways, right? Super accommodating staff!

The rooms are spacious and the jacuzzi was a special bonus. Wifi worked well. However, I didn't like the attitude when I asked about vegan options — they "checked" but then could not tell me what was vegan and advised me to make my own arrangements for breakfast, along with my vegan mom and cousin. I guess I expected better customer service and if not that, then at least a more caring attitude. Not sure I will come back here…

2 1/2 star cottage style hotel. Large room with all amenities-Wi-Fi-flat screen-decent breakfast. Can use a little more updating in bathroom area. Clean for the most part. Carpet can use a good cleaning though. Also can use some traction strips outside in front door area as tile gets really slippery when wet. Quiet location and good price.

Very comfortable stay at this Inn. Wonderful customer service, breakfast was filling and abundant, room was clean and bathtub had a whirlpool. Would stay here again.

We were very satisfied with our stay except for one thing. We were not able to make a reservation for the same time next year. "The computer would not accept reservations. ".

Our original room was a Queen with the jacuzzi tub. However, the comforter had stains on it, and the jacuzzi tub was in poor shape. There was visible mold on the grout around the tub and the cover for the jacuzzi's machinery at the bottom of the tub was kind of falling apart. Luckily, we were able to upgrade to a two Queen room (at a discounted rate) with a larger jacuzzi tub that was in much better shape than the original room. My girlfriend and I felt that the jets in the jacuzzi tub were way too loud. There were also some large areas where the paint was chipped off inside the jacuzzi tub, but at least no mold was visible. Overall, the rooms are quite nice and we had a pleasant stay. It seemed like a pretty quiet place. The continental breakfast was what you would generally expect from anywhere else, no better or worse.

After at least 20 visits to the Monterey Peninsula, I have found the best place to stay. I took advantage of an online offer and enjoyed an extremely spacious suite. The standard room is also very spacious. Loved the jacuzzi tub as well as the microwave, refrigerator, and HD TVs. The outside "log cabin" exterior of the inn doesn't prepare you for the luxury inside. And the continental breakfast offers everything from waffles to hardboiled eggs along with cereals, breads, pastries, etc.

The room and the environment it was surrounded by were an excellent location for me and my new bride's honeymoon. Room service was prompt and thorough every day, even graciously waiting for us when we ran behind. The renovated suite was beautiful and very comfortable. Management was extremely courteous. I would highly recommend this establishment for any sort of coastal getaway.

This place is a great secret in this area, its in a good location, quiet and away from the crazyness of the city, but not too far that you cant drive to monterrey or anything. Loved staying here and would stay here again.

Room was clean, would have like to have king size pillow cases on the king size pillows! Large pillows were stuffed into small cases and came out and exposed the pillow during sleep, waking to a pillow without cover. Yuk! Otherwise, all was wonderful.

By far the worst experience our family has ever encountered at a hotel room. Bed was back breaking uncomfortable, towels are sandpaper at best, entrance to room was more dated than my college dorm room from 20 years ago. "Newly remodeled" room was FILTHY, there was literally layers of filth in the bathroom, dirt and grime that they attempted to paint over in between the tiles, wall next to tub was falling apart, and the tub was so disgusting we didn't dare put our son in it. Breakfast was cheap, GMO filled trash, unappealing setup, and pitiful selection. Management is unprofessional, maintenance issues abound, this is absolutely the worst night's lack of sleep that I have ever paid for. Beware, before you book this hotel, know what you are getting into. There are many excellent options on the peninsula, don't give this establishment a cent.
