Great hotel close to Monterey. More like a condo setup, even has separate garages.

This Best Western is old and is in dire need of updating. We checked in and because three rooms were ordered the receptionist had a difficult time. Perhaps she was new? It took around 30 mins to check in. The people we were meeting said it took them even longer to check in. The hotel does not have elevators, we climbed up three landings with steps to get to our room. If you are handicapped you should mention that you want a handicap room while making your reservation. I would not recommend this hotel if you want to be in the heart of things. If you want to be out sway from the action this might be what you are looking for. /

This place is awesome. Amazing ownership and staff. The breakfast is top notch — they have a waffle maker, breakfast sandwiches, and much more. Rooms are always clean and there's plenty of covered parking. Large restrooms and massive rooms have been standard at each stay here for us. We stay here every time we are in the area.

My husband and I stay 5 nights in the studio suite, we loved it… staff was very nice and helpful. Room very very clean, the bed was very comfortable love the location in a quite neighborhood. Definitely would recommend staying in the hotel.

This is the second year in a row we have booked a room here during our annual Memorial Day trip up to Monterey. We love this place, for a competitive price you get a great room that feels very private, and complementary breakfast in the morning. It takes the worry out of getting your morning off to a good start. If you're looking to be closer to the attractions of Monterey, this place is a little out of the way in Pacific Grove. Although it's not close to the downtown hub, you're in quiet suburb by the ocean. Good for those seeking a cozy hideaway on a budget.

Beautiful location, 5 min walk from the beach, quiet, very clean, converted condos turned into a very cute hotel. Coi pond and stream in front. Very good customer service and extensive continental breakfast! Going back.

Great hotel staff, rooms and breakfast. Every year we come to Monterey/Pacific Grove to celebrate our wedding anniversary and this year we chose to stay at the Best Western Inn and Suites. This will be our "same time, next year" place from now on.

This was my first experience with Best Western and I came upon this hotel after having such a hard time finding a reasonable and clean place to stay in this area. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with any of our needs during our stay and was so helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and check-in and out was so easy. The continental breakfast also exceeds that of other hotels. This hotel made our trip that much better. We would absolutely return!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were amazingly spacious, and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept on in a hotel in a very long time. Breakfast was great and had a variety of options. The location was really convenient, and made it quick and easy to get anywhere in the area. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

Very impressed with this hotel. We were just expecting one room and they gave us two, the breakfast was amazing, the beds were comfy, everything was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel used to be townhouses so the hotel has an apartment style set up. No elevators, but that didn’t bother me at all. The rooms are beautiful with different types. I had 2 rooms, one was a suite with 2 rooms and 1 bed in each room. The other was a single king bed room and it was massive including a walk-in closet with a little kitchen area in it and a huge bathroom! Both rooms had a little kitchen area with a sink and counter top separate from the bathroom. The scenery was beautiful and the rooms were quiet. Housekeeping staff were great and gave us everything we needed and more. Branden checked us in and out and was professional, informative and accommodating. I can’t wait to visit Monterey again to stay at this hotel! Loved it. Thank you all for your amazing service.

Read the reviews prior to booking a stay at this establishment. I did not find any real credible negative reviews. I must say the good reviews did not due this establishment justice. The Best Western The Inn & Suites was a very comfortable, clean and homey stay. The rooms were nice, the beds were large and the continental breakfast was awesome. It is conveniently located to allow for beautiful beach access a short drive away but is also very close to down town Monterey. My wife and I were able to enjoy a romantic time while also having a fun family experience with our children. I would recommend this location to anyone and everyone and am looking forward to returning soon.

Nice location, good sized rooms with nice decorations. Good amenities, pleasant to have separate bedrooms and a balcony. Good driving distance from scenic routes and beaches.

Loved the fireplace in the king suit. And it was very spacious too! One complain is the use of highly deodorised cleaner, not great for people with scent allergies as myself. Breakfast was not great but staff friendly. Good location.

This inn was a little confusing to find, as it is tucked away, but it is a quaint, cozy little place. The rooms are set up in groups of three in little condo like buildings. There is covered and open parking, though it is first come first serve. The staff is very friendly and hospitable, the complimentary breakfast they served was much better than expected. The rooms are interesting; high wooden ceilings that feel almost cabin like. The two beds in the room were actually separated with a sore, so it was like two smaller rooms in one. Clean, all the required amenities, mini fridge and microwave with a sink other than the one in the bathroom. It looks like most if not all the rooms have balconies as well. I would definitely stay again.

This is a great place to stay. Spacious suite with a fireplace. That came in handy as it got cold in the evening. A patio with nice furniture. Two TVs one for the bedroom and one for the lounge area. Very comfy bed and quiet area. The location is close to the Pacific Grove gate to 17 mile drive. $10.50 per car. Even saw deer and woodpeckers.

This place is great. Very nice location and if you have enough people that you need the two separate beds it's actually a good deal for the area. Very centrally located.

Clean room with a fireplace and free parking. Very affordable. Great location between Carmel and Monterey. The room was a little small but would still stay here again.

The Pacific Grove inn and Suites is a very quiet spacious facility. I enjoyed a well maintained and clean room. It was a very comfortable stay. The breakfast bar was very good for a chain hotel/motel. They had more to eat than a similarly priced hotel in a major west coast city.

My name is Suk Hee Kim. I checked out on 8/31/2017. I put my ipad on the desk beside bed. I didn't bring it after checking out this hotel. I called to registration desk right away AM 6:00. I checked out at 5:30AM. He promised to find it. I called him after 30 minute. He said he didn't see it. He didn't find it. So so bad!

Best Western Inn is a great place to stay! Simply lovely area and a great place to enjoy the Monterey Peninsula! Close to the beach, the butterfly sanctuary and public transportation. We walked to downtown Pacific Grove and loved the quiet and the scenery!. We spent all day enjoying the historic Victorians, walked to Lover's Point, and the Pacific Grove Farmer's market. And then we walked to Asilomar to watch the sunset. Just breathtaking! Caught a bus to Monterey and enjoyed the Aquarium one day and Cannery Row/Fisherman's Wharf the next. I highly recommend the Best Western and this gem on the Pacific Coast!

We had the best time ever at this place. I almost didn't want to tell anyone about it, like our own lil secret! I love the top floor room with the lil balcony facing the ocean, even though you can't see it because of all the trees, you can hear it and smell the fresh breeze! The rooms were very clean, no weird odors. Lots of room, lovely decor, just perfect! We already have plans to come back to the same place and room soon! Excellent customer service from staff as well!

Nice and quiet. The 2 room suite is great for a family. Wish we were in walking distance of the attractions, but overall it's nice. Breakfast is good. TV reception is not.

Best Western Inn and Suites in Pacific Grove, California is the perfect place to get away, even if just for a weekend. The spacious suite for two has a large bedroom with king size bed, a sitting area with its own television and deck and a very large kitchen without an oven but does provide a range and a medium size bathroom. The suite also provides a fireplace and wet bar and the staff is friendly and helpful. The suite also provides a large veranda which is lovely for entertaining! I highly recommend Best Western Inn and Suites at Pacific Grove, California to anyone especially if you just need to get away. Call Brandon, the manager, and request one of the one bedroom suites and tell them Syndi McLeland sent you and provide yourself with a wonderful weekend!

The room was comfortable and spacious. The only reason it didn't get five stars and was television reception was not good. Walking distance to the beach is a plus. A good continental style breakfast each morning also helped. I recommend it.

Not much service but the it is a very quiet place. 2min drive to the beach, the town is lovely, and you can see wild animal easily around here. We had a relaxing stay.

It was nice to be within walking distance of the ocean as well as the Asilomar Campgrounds. The rooms are split into two sleeping areas, each with a TV. The free Wi-Fi is a bit annoying because you have to re-sign in every day, but that's not terrible. The rooms also have balconies; the view isn't spectacular, but the fresh air is nice. The breakfast room also has a great waffle maker.

Very friendly staff noted we were on our Honeymoon and provided a bottle of wine. Quiet neighborhood with nice rooms add to the residential feel. Breakfast was well stocked and offered good selection. Seating is a bit limited, but that is a small issue. I will be coming back to Best Western The Inn & Suites Pacific Grove.

Impossible to change the date even with 48 hours of "advance, due to the forest fire Sequoia Park, it is the only hotel that my change denied. " I did want a refund but to change the date following our reorganization of our trip. Never the Best Western chain and never sent that didn't help us.

Stayed here for 2 nights — the whole place is converted condos, so the rooms are huge! The service was good, breakfast was good, and I will def stay here again if ever in the area again.

The room was huge, comfy, clean and quiet! My only minor complaint is that the parking was minimal at best. But it was a minor and only complaint. (You might have to park on the street of a very quiet neighborhood).

I am very much impressed with this hotel. The price was exceptional for the room we had. The front desk was really helpful and let us check into our room early and check out late! The room itself was fantastic. It was very clean, roomy, and updated. We also were very lucky as our room had a good view. It was really a good deal. We definitely plan on returning.
