It was a good hotel, but it was a little over-priced. There was a pool which was cold, though it was very refreshing. It was very clean, and you could adjust the lights, dim and brighten them. The service at the desk was good.

Was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the rooms and the service. Condei really did not work well, at night had to ventilate opening the door. Of the pluses, the presence of a shopping mall across the street in walking distance.

Check in was a easy and pleasant experience. Very friendly woman at the front desk who even helped me replace my lost insurance card. She was helpful in giving tips on what to see and do and let us know about discount tickets for the aquarium. I absolutely loved our room! Clean, quiet and cozy. The beds were so comfortable and it was spacious. There was a pullout bed (which they charge for, but we never used) it would have been nice to know previously that it was an option. Breakfast wasn't my favorite but it was nice to have it. Small area for breakfast, no seating and limited parking area. I still gave 5 ⭐ because the good outweighs the small things. Thank you Super 8! If ever we are in the area, we will be back here!

Would not recommend staying here. There are other places that are much cleaner and newer for far less money. The parking is horrible, the room smelled so bad that we had to keep the A/C on to be able to tolerate it.

Pretty much average nothing major or minor … but 25 to use the pull out bed is a no…

Nice and clean. Great service. Room came with a microwave and mini fridge at no extra charge.

Stayed one night. The place was full, but we could hardly tell, plenty of parking, quiet, CLEAN and comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly. Good location driving distance from Cannery Row, beaches, trails, etc. My favorite thing about the place was the natural lighting and fresh air available through the windows. Can't beat beautiful Monterey/Carmel.

Good location, close to the gas stations and food joints and highway 1 was easily reachable from this place as internet was a problem in the area and we had to figure out the route without gps. The rooms were clean and spacious. And the breakfast was also nice.

Very good choice with a Monday price almost three times cheaper than Sunday.

We got a room with two king size beds and they were huge. It was very roomy and everything is clean. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a typical motel type of room, basically you get what you pay for. Small room, lack of hot water and parking sucks at night. The continental breakfast is in the lobby which is super small, and provided basic breakfast items including frozen waffles. The room works if you are literally there to just sleep and that's it.

Has everything you need to be a passing hotel.

Breakfast was fair, not the largest but not bad for a continental. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy.

Pretty decent for the price. Very clean, not noisy. Rooms have a mini fridge and microwave, the mall is across the street. The sheets were a little bit too worned out and the towels kind of small. Continental breakfast is very basic but at least there's something to eat, cereal, yogurt, fruits, bread, etc.

The room was quite comfortable. Breakfast is nothing special. Cheap, good if you have no big demands and just want to stay overnight.

This place is a disaster! Could have ruined my weekend if I let it. The manager and office staff are very rude and unaccommodating. The first night there was no hot water. They finally came to my room at 9pm to work on it. They broke something and boiling water was flooding out. They had to turn off the water. So no shower! I had 2 small children with me and of course the children were rudely awakened by 4 different men walking in my room at such a late hour. The manager said he could not refund my money. He said he would give a 10% discount. Wow! A big $13.00! But then he didn't even do that. The TV kept going off and on, the phone didn't work and the room smelled bad. He was very rude to me and did not care at all about pleasing his customers. I asked for a small cup of milk from the breakfast room and was told not to ask again. I ran a foot race and came to the continental breakfast 5 min late and he refused to give me anything to eat. He said they already put the bowls away. The toilet didn't flush properly so toilet paper was always backed up in the bowl. The cleaning staff was very nice and friendly. Everything else sucked! The manager, Mike is very very rude! Don't waste your time or money here!

A good motel to spend a night, a stone's throw from Montery and Carmel. Small rooms No mirror cleaning. Don't miss the beauties of the 17 Miles and the picturesque centre of Carmel. In front of the hotel a medium sized Mall, where you will find a bit of everything.

Fine place to stay. There could be pretty cool inside the room in the morning if it cools down fast outside. There is only small counter for breakfast so you may have no place to seat right away.

It is a good hotel to spend the night. A little uncomfortable the place to have breakfast. Very well located in front of a mall and 10 minutes from Carmel. Much cheaper than Carmel by the sea hotels.

The rooms were surprisingly not outdated, the staff were friendly and responsive and they even had decent amenities. Parking was in limited supply later in the evening and the air conditioning kept shutting off and we had to restart it every hour or so. To be fair, it was during a heat wave so they may have been overtaxing their electric supply or something like that. Would definitely stray again, great location.

This is a budget hotel. That charges a lot of money based on it's location to Fisherman's Wharf. The only good thing about it is it's proximity (5 minutes walking distance to the Del Monte Center Mall that has Whole Foods right at the entrance). I got the impression that the owner made some minor cosmetic changes to the rooms — like new pictures on the wall and paint color, but didn't care to update anything else. The rooms were pretty clean, but very dated. Our room smelled of smoke and dampness. We tried to turn the heat on, but the the air was filled with such an awful stench of burning dust immediately, that we had to turn it off. The carpet and love seat were very old and dusty. The towels were extremely old and scratchy. The desk had one of the drawers inserted upside down (! ) and the desk chair was very dusty with it's surface all scratched up. The breakfast is pitiful, and is served in the office with only few bar stools available, and no space to put food down even temporarily. I'm amazed that with no space they had the courage to serve breakfast.

Location is great — right across from the delivery Monte center, convenient to a lot of food and not too far off from downtown Monterey. The rooms are nice, standard fare, nothing too exciting but a decent bed, fridge, microwave, bathroom was fine. The included breakfast wasn't fantastic, but it was free (included) food, so a cost effective start to the day. Overall a nice hotel — especially for the cost in this relatively expensive area.

We have stay at this Motel twice in the last couple of years, we found this place, clean, good staff and helpful. The breakfast was a true continental one. We would stay their again, good bargain for your money.

Is a decent place to rest after a long day or travel, don't expect much, is a good place to stay if the budged is tight rooms are clean, housekeeping does a good job. Rooms are smoking free but the downside is, ashtrays are outside the door and if the person next door is a smoker, you have a pretty good chance the smoke is going to leak into your room. They offer "free continental breakfast " I didn't even try it, the dinning area is a counter along the wall with stool to sit.

Place was clean, good on price for a one night stay near the coast. Free breakfast was plenty for us to hit the road after check out. It was quite at night, you do hear cars off the main road… but no complaining. Parking is free, but man it's a tight squeeze in and out the parking lot. Across from a whole foods market so I'm happy.

The room is clean and comfortable. It's right off. CA 1 so convenient, but when I say right off the highway I mean it. So if you can't sleep with cars going by this might not be the spot for you. The rate was reasonable for the area and it had some shopping and dining within walking distance.

Crib for a baby costs $25 extra per receptionist at the property which was somewhat of a surprise since it was not mentioned on booking websites. Room was a bit on the small side but clean. Location was excellent with a large shopping center, whole foods, and restaurants within 5min walking distance. Breakfast counter is bit smallish with about 8 seatings.

Very clean and decorated in a modern style. Good Parking Possibilities. Against a shopping Mall is ideal for shopping and well and to go eat cheap.

Room was nice and all but the guy downstairs kind of rude. A couple asked what kind the pastries were the ones offeres, and he looked at them as if they were dumb and said "theyre pastries". Obviously the couple knew but wanted to know what kind.

Passed through town on a road trip, and it happened to be both Presidents Day Weekend and the PGA Tour was in town. This Super 8 was one of the few motels with a room and they were demanding $279 for the privilege. We declined to be gouged, and our interaction with American capitalism that evening has made me strongly consider supporting the Bernie Sanders campaign.

Awesome value for the price. Front desk people are nice. Pool looks clean. The rooms are updated and clean. Bathrooms are big. No smell. We paid 74 for a king suite. Location is great.

What a great place! Clean, quiet, nicely laid out. Rooms were comfortable big and had spacious bathrooms. Wifi generally worked and parking was pretty easy. There's a shopping mall opposite with plenty of restaurants so it's a good location for that. Breakfast was good too. The only thing was its a little competitive to get a seat in the breakfast room but I guess you could always take it back to your room!

Clean, comfortable room at a fair price. Might be a few bucks more than surrounding hotels but it's definitely worth it. Good size room, spacious bathroom, only a couple minute drive from cannery row. A great place to stay.

Very clean room and bathroom. Nice beds that were comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The only suggestion is to have curtains over the plantation shutters because light from the parking lot still leaked through. The breakfast was small but free so that was nice. I would definitely stay here again in the future! Great room for a great price! (also located right across the street from a nice outdoor mall with CPK and PF Changs, RiteAid, and Whole Foods)
