No problem with noise, convenient location, friendly staff. Rooms are a little lower on the maintenance list. This is a small hotel and there rooms are as well, but it was a pleasant stay. Check-in and office staff were nice.

Good hotel with all the criteria. Would recommend for a visit.

Stayed overnight for the marathon in April. The people were nice and the room was clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot.

It's better than I expected. Though the top room is a bit pricey for what you get. I'll start with the positives. Pros: Spacious room Good amenities Clean-ish Warm Excellent location Hot tub — very nice Big bed Fire place — quite nice Cons: Loud — my experience has not been the best for a good night's sleep. 1. Other guests: Perhaps I was unlucky but having some of the most noisy neighbours was a big let down. They shouldn't put cheap rooms near the more expensive ones. The fact that I have to ask them to be quiet — rather than the staff sucks. Basically, don't expect it to be managed in any way. 2. Near main road — as you'd expect by a main road — it's noisy. And you will get quite a lot of idiots speeding with huge exhausts with micro manhoods. 3. The maids! — if you like sleeping in late. And the other 2 don't get you. The maids will! Every morning the noise of their cleaning trolley rolling past your room. Speaking Spanish at levels that will wake the neighbouring city. You will be awake at 8am. Mark their words. Btw. I am an extremely heavy sleeper. Just saying. Cleanliness — Ok so I said cleanish above. Not the dirtiest place. Seriously it's passable. However getting the maids to come in past the morning time is impossible. Wish they'd inform me of when their day long siesta begins. Basically, don't expect to come back to a clean room if you've not let them in at 8am. Which sucks, most other hotels you leave a sign on and come back to a clean room. Even past mid day.

I took my son for a over night trip to Monterey. This hotel was great. The staff was amazing. My trip became up in the air due to a ankle injury and they worked with me and gave me a room on the bottom floor. They were very kind. The breakfast was good. The room was perfect. The price was right. The only thing I saw was wrong was the bathtub had a hard time draining after my son took a bath and the door had a gap on the bottom to where cold air was coming in. Nothing a towel at the bottom on the door cant fix. Needless to say I already booked my stay at this hotel for next month. It's not super fancy but if you can look past the fancy part and look at the at home feel and the kindness of the staff this is your hotel.

Just to sleep is fine. Basic Breakfast but it reaches.

I stay at the Days inn every time I visit Monterey. Clean with a good breakfast. The price cant be beat. Managers are great people. Always cheerful.

Great location you can walk to the mall across the street and it is about a 25-minute walk down to the wharf. Nice clean rooms with breakfast included.

We are here in the hotel and even thou there was things that needed to be fixed. I like the room. On ground floor and I like that. Quiet and all. Breakfast wasn’t that great at all. Not much food to pick from. But the worst was this morning when the. Cable kept going off and on and now doesn’t work at all. So getting ready to go and check out. And it’s only 8:05. Here I wanted to watch some TV and relax for a bit longer. Very sad : (

Recently renovated and very nice inside. Staff was friendly and courteous. It's located in a great spot, but being right off a main road it can be a little noisy during peak traffic times.

Rooms are nice and clean. Good Wi-Fi. Right next to the mall which is very convenient.

Rooms are great clean updated. Bathroom was great shower was clean and water pressure was abundant. Recommend for anyone tourist or just catching some zzz's and a hot shower before work the next day.

Paid for the best room at the place. So many little things were bad and it added up to a very bad experience. The parking lot spaces are cramped. Just outside the room door was what looked like bags full of trash. The TVs were very small. The Wi-Fi did not work at all. The metal fixtures in the bathroom were corroded. The spout on jacuzzi tub swivels (it's not supposed to). Most of the power outlets were hidden behind furniture or the bed, making it way too hard to charge phones and laptops. The curtains won't close all the way, letting light stream in early in the morning. The carpet was stained and dirty. The fireplace could not be ignited. In fact, the fireplace gas switch was in the "on" position when we came in the room. Didn't smell gas, so we assume the switch is installed backwards. The bathroom door creaked loudly. The bathroom soap makes your skin crack. The couch was partially busted. The walls are very thin and the neighbors were not quiet. The continental breakfast consisted of only a few low-quality items. And this was the best suite at the place! I shudder to imagine what the other rooms were like. I spent a few hundred dollars for that room and really, I expected much better. I know Day's Inn is not exactly the Ritz, but they could have done so much better, and have done better at other Days Inn establishments I have visited. Visitor beware! Stay somewhere else!

Check in literally took less than 5 minutes. The accommodations were reasonable and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Great location. It's close to the Fisherman's wharf and Canery Row and a right across from a shopping mall. The parking however is small and crowded. The room we had was spacious with a squicky king size bed, a chimney and a jetted bathtub. Which it didn't work and its why I gave it a 4 star.

Clean hotel! Cute cozy bed and nice upgraded shower with fresh clean towels, blow dryer tiny shampoo and soaps. Great for a last minute hotel.

Nice room for the price and they do AAA discount too. There was construction going on in the next room, but not too bothersome explains why the bathroom was so new looking. Breakfast was pretty good too nothing super fancy but great experience overall, came at like 2:30am and easy check in process. Will go again for sure if in the area.

Aquarium with the presence of local fauna and not. Not overly large but a pleasant visit.

Would not recommend giving your credit card if paying cash, we paid cash but the front desk wanted my credit card as well, took the cash payment and also charged my card. When I tried to get the money put back on my card I got the run around and was told it would be back in my account by Monday, Monday came and the money still had not been put back in. I called again and was told they would have to charge my card 1 cent to have the money put back on my card by the next day, we will see tomorrow if the money minus. 01 gets put back If not I will be filing charges for theft. I only gave 1 star because I couldn't post this without giving any stars otherwise it would not have even gotten 1 star from me!

We had a jaccuzzi suite, the room was not in the best shape, but it was still nice and I had written a 5 star review the day after my stay. I reserved the room with a different card then I paid with and was assured they would not charge both cards. But three days later I was charged for a second time on the reservation card, which caused overdraft fees of over 100 dollars. I tried to settle the issue with the hotel so they wouldn't have to have a claim filed against them, since mistakes happen I was trying to be understanding. When I contacted the hotel they insisted they had not double charged, despite the fact I had a transaction number and all the evidence from the bank as well. So I filed a claim with my bank. I will NEVER be back!

We had a jacuzzi suite, the jacuzzi tub was amazing! We also went to dinner at the Fisherman's Wharf at Abalonetti's restaurant (and it was delicious) which is very close. A truly wonderful birthday experience. I will definitely be returning.

Comfy and very big bed, clean room, big bathroom, very friendly staff. The free continental breakfast was very basic, but nothing to complain about. Free fresh orange juice! I definitely was positively surprised since it was one of the cheaper options in Monterey and I enjoyed my stay. Will stay here again!

Very nice location, clean, close to the aquarium and right across from a shopping center so we could get supplies. Would recommend!

Location of this hotel is great, as it's across the street from a shopping area and theatre, also within walking distance of the downtown area. Service and room was average (not modern or renovated), but comfortable and clean.

No problems with King suite. Nice jacuzzi, but room is fairly old with minor maintenance problems.

Called and received a choppy "hi"… am I even calling a hotel or someone's cell phone? I merely asked a question about a room and got the response "it's sold out". When is it sold out? I didn't ask to stay any specific date at all. Guess it's always sold out. Will be staying elsewhere, thanks for the choppy service.

Perfect nights sleep, needed a taller shower head though.

Stayed two nights. First night, I was in a room with a hard bed. The pillows are square. Which was weird. The second night, I roomed with a friend. Bed was more comfy than the first. Breakfast was blah. Toast, an apple, yogurt, and some cereal. Not a lot of choices amongst those. Quiet location. A walk across the street to the mall. Very small parking lot. Nice staff.

Comfy bed. Clean bathroom. Quiet. Walk to the mall. Breakfast was OK. The oatmeal was runny and the coffee weak. All in all, a fine stay.

We stayed in one of the rooms with fireplace and jacuzzi and it was awesome. Had many good experiences with days inn.

Great stay. Friendly staff. Close to the wharf, Cannery row, and the aquarium, along with many great beaches.

A quick, and cost effective place to stay for the night.

The stretch of highway on Route 1/PCH that connects Ragged Point to Big Sur is a long, twisty and sometimes treacherous thoroughfare that can be a daunting challenge to even the most experienced of motorcycle riders. Once you're on it, you're on it. All your senses are devoted to the given tasks of navigating this unforgiving, serpentine asphalt beast. When it's cold and damp, it can be downright unpleasant. This is what our experience was: cold, windy, drizzly and made even worse by some chick who thought that it would be ok to text on a one-lane road if she slowed down to 40 mph. So, by the time Monterey was reached, after a total of twelve hours in the proverbial saddle, it was time to call it a night. However, it being tourist season, a sea of "no vacancy" signs began appearing on the horizon. All we wanted was a clean, warm room with a clean, warm bed and a hot shower. Just the very basics. Imagine our surprise at being promised the very basics, but having welcome luxury delivered instead. This is what Fisherman's Wharf Days Inn did and does; they under-promise and over-deliver. Walking into our room, the first thing that caught our eye was the Jacuzzi tub surrounded by polished marble. Technically, it's a three person tub, but in reality, it's for one-person and can comfortably fit two people. The privacy curtains, when closed, lend to an atmosphere of being in a world of your very own in which nothing beyond exists, and the only thing that matters is your relaxation.

Not bad for it's rate. Clean and very accessible to the MALL which is only in front and a walk away. I will surely recommend to other people and we will surely be back here. Nice pick on our part. See you again.
