Smaller, but Fairly new. Very clean. Friendly front desk staff. Attentive management. Excellent breakfast. Enjoyable stay.

Newly remodeled, the Hampton Inn at Monterey is a nice establishment. Everything was super clean and well-maintained. The lobby and breakfast area was also nice and inviting. Staff was super friendly, particularly the front desk employees. They were able to help with any questions or concerns along with providing any recommendations. Location was nice and not in a busy or dangerous area whatsoever. Several restaurants are close by, which was nice.

The hotel looked recently renovated and was very nice inside. They had a nice breakfast area and the hotel was in a great location. You can walk to the In-N-Out right across the street and Starbucks isn't that far away either. It's close to a lot of places and is a great place to stay for tourists!

This place has really comfortable beds, this was one of my most comfortable sleeps for my whole entire trip. I also love the area there is an in-and-out right across the street. And Monterey in general is nice it has a relaxing atmosphere.

Recently stayed at your hotel. I found it very accommodating, clean, great location and the breakfast was much better than anticipated. I had a bit of a bad day on this trip and your front desk manager Hope was right there to help me through it. She is amazing and I am so very grateful that she was so kind, encouraging and remained up beat. Hampton Inn Management, please take a moment to recognize Hope who is a shining star! She represents all that is good and noble. Hope you rock! Sincerely, the dead phone guy!

Nice Hilton property, as most are. Close to just about anything you'd need by way of food, market, mall, etc… Rooms that face Del Monte Blvd. Out front can experience excessive road noise. Gets pricey during the summer season!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable breakfast and a lovely eating area. We loved our room, still with double glazing slightly noisy however not a huge issue. The ice machine was very loud! Other guests need to learn what it means to use "inside voices"! Complete disregard for other guests.

3, 5 points if it would go. Room large and modern. The new road is unfortunately quite audible, but still in order. A half-point deduction I really have to give for the tons of rubbish that are produced at breakfast, because there are only plastic disposable utensils.

Very courteous receptionist, generous with check in/out times when asked and they are able to accommodate. The rooms are fresh and modern, appearance and also smell like fresh linen. Very clean and welcoming. I actually slept well at night when most often I don't in a hotel; the beds and pillows were comfortable. I'll definitely look to book this again when I return to Monterey.

Very comfortable Hotel, close to Highway 1 for getting to Big Sur.

It's a nicely remodeled Hampton Inn, with a decent sized room and well done bathroom. I will say that the heater was very loud, but aside from that it was comfortable. The pillows were super comfortable. The stairwell is not very accessible. Free parking. Good location.

I travel for work. I stay at lots of hotels. Hampton inn Monterey went above and beyond to accommodate to my dietary restriction a by getting me a box of gluten free crackers, a bag of gluten free chips (all complimentary) and even printing out a list of gluten free restaurants around the area. The rooms are large and the water pressure is good (could be a bit better). The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The aesthetics were wonderful. Everything looked very nice. The room was great and had just the right amount of room. The location was central to everything we wanted to see (fisherman's wharf, moss landing, Dennis the menace park, cannery row…). A big plus for us was the complimentary breakfast, which was good. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, breads, muffins, oatmeal, and cereals. I really do not think there was anything negative.

Very nice hotel. Room service was so friendly and the rooms were also super tidy. The location isn't great, but it is still very close to town. Great stay!

It is a smaller hotel then what I am used to. The place is nice and clean and a very comfortable modern atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable and had down pillows and since I am used to those at home it made it nice. It's about 2 miles away from fisherman's wharf. Our room had a view of some water. The staff was kind and helpful. No pool or spa. It does have a fitness center. The breakfast is good here and it's actually breakfast not just muffins and coffee. I hate going to hotels that have no water pressure in the shower and was pleased that the showers are really nice and water actually flows well. Parking is rather tight spots so if you have a bigger truck you will probably want to park it outside the little parking structure. Also each bedside table has charging stations with outlets as well and also on the desk. I really enjoyed my stay here and would come back and stay at this hotel again.

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Monterey and really enjoyed our experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. The free breakfast was pretty good and the rooms were clean and very up to date. The only complaint I had was that the beds were quite firm. Other than that, I'd stay here again.

The hotel was nice on the inside and provided a decent breakfast. However the lady at the front desk was very rude to my wife when asked a question about payment. I will not be staying here again or recommending this hotel to anyone for that reason.

The location of the inn was nice, only 3 miles away from Cannery Road. The check in and check out process was easy and fast. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The inn was a decent size and the rooms were spacious. It looked newly renovated, from the lobby to the rooms. Our room was a double queen, there was definitely enough room for the four of us. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. The staff respected our space and were really nice. The contential breakfast was good and the staff made sure we didn't run out of anything. Excellent service, nice inn and we will definitely be coming back.

New, clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh with a nice selection. Parking is free but can be tight if you have a larger vehicle.

Beds are beyond firm, but other than that, incredibly clean, and great service. One of the very few hotels in Monterey that have A/C. Completely remodeled and quiet.

Poor exterior appearance but great service and newly renovated rooms! I was very impressed. No comment on the price but small, though great tasting breakfast. Casual modern hotel. Recommend.

Stayed 1 night while visiting the aquarium. Quiet hotel with decent beds and pillows. The rooms didn't have a microwave and this is the first time that has happened where there wasn't one in the room. I went to front desk and they showed me to one in the breakfast area but it would have been nice if there was on in the room. Parking was very limited but we didn't have a problem getting a space. Overall it was a good night.

Where the old LA Quinta used to be. Friendly accommodating staff, and good breakfast spread, but in desperate need of a face-lift ~some paint? ~or at least clearing out of all of the old LA Q memorabilia. It feels as though LA Q sold it on a Monday, and Hampton Inn moved in Tuesday morning… and barely vacuumed. Still, a lovely little oasis. (For locals who know, it is next to the giant pond where they hold the toy boat races :-) ). I love how you do not feel as though you are directly off of the freeway. I asked for a room not overlooking Del Monte, and got a great night's sleep with those blackout curtains.

Friendly and knowledgable staff, great rooms recently renovated. The lobby is currently closed due to the renovations but they are still running just fine using a desk in the dining area. Continental breakfast has the standard offerings. The hotel is very close to the beach. You can walk to a lot of great views along the path right next to the hotel. And "the old fisherman's wharf" is just a mile away with great fresh food and treats.

Recently remodeled. Beautiful, spacious rooms. You can barely hear the traffic outside at all.

The receptionist some old lady tought we did not had money to pay the hotel because my boyfriends car broke down outside the hotel and she denay service to me and my boyfriend and my kids we had to pay a toe truck to take the car home and we paid him 800 dolars because we live all the way to sacramento so thats very sad now we have a very bad impresion of monterey because of this lady that works their we drove all the way over their 2 have fun and we got service denay because of her toughts them to do that to a family just because of the car we had.

Normal good La Quinta standard. Big rooms. Ok breakfast. If you like walking you can take the trail into Monterey center where there are nice restaurants at the pier. Only negative is that its close to the freeway so you can hear the cars passing. But on the other hand it gives you a quick access to go to Carmel or other places.

Positive: Great rooms, nicely decorated. Free Internet; good breakfast
Negative: No pool; fairly old TV;.
