Nice stay. Little place but nice.

This place was clean and well kept. The bed was decent, refrigerator, microwave, we got extra pillows upon request, and overall the energy of the place was positive. The owners were very helpful… There's a language barrier and I think that's why people think they're rude. But they're really not! Very kind and accommodating!

Needed a last minute room and found one available at America's Best value. The staff was hard to understand but they worked with us. Room was small but did the job. You get what you pay for.

A good experience to spend the night.

+: friendly staff, close to the mall, coffee and rolls for breakfast, big clean room, clean bathroom -: located at busy street, small parking lot, no possibility to take full breakfast, cold blankets If you are looking for budget accomodation on your way this can be good choice.

Owners are super friendly the room is comfortable. Just bad thing is on a busy street and parking.

We love how close this is to everything, walk to Starbucks, Target, Panera, short drive to beaches. Kind owners, affordable. If we motel-stay in Monterey, this where we stay.

If there was a possible way to rate this so called motel less than a 1, I would. The hostess lady was so rude. She gave me 5$ less than my actual change and wouldnt give it back. The room smelled of cigerettes and mold. The toilet had urine on the seat. Oh, and the lady yelled at me, can't forget that. I want my money back! And to you, dont ever come here. It was a horrovle, and regretable, experience.

Horrible desk service, they put me and my kids in room next to aggressive crackhead lady that lives there full time and had loud guests smoking dope all night and tried to assault me and my 3 yr old when we were getting her teddy from our car. Never go here!

Location is great. Parking is a pain though. Rooms are nice. Hot water didn't work around 6am. It worked 30 mins later… maybe water took a bit of a trip. Idk.

Im considering 3 stars simply bc the parking lot is SMALL. It's a standard budget hotel and comes with basic, standard amenities like soap and fridge. Everything was clean enough for overnight or a more extended stay. Bed was standard, not-the-most comfortable spring mattress, but good enough to sleep on for a short trip. All in all, of you need a cheap place to stay, this isn't a bad option, just don't come with a trailer or you're parking in the road like I had to.

I had nowhere to stay for the night, the owner would not rent to me unless I had a credit card, or pay a cash deposit of $100.00 plus the rate of $60 up front. I stayed there several times and never had any problems or trust issues.

Worst place ever. Room next door occupied by a crazy crackhead lady that was screaming from her room not to go near her window (blinds were wedged open in tweaker fashion) and I was getting stuff out of my car parked on the street, and she came out and glared at me. Sounded like elephants moving furniture all night, rap music blaring, and people coughing loudly constantly (weed or meth? ) Paid $175 for room with my toddler for this? No customer service skills, elderly lady glares at you if you come ask question in lobby and furniture older than me, in shoddy condition. Never stay here! And room is 5 feet from street. Change name to America's Worst Value Inn! Surrounded by junkies and homeless people. Thumbs down.

Outdated but cared for by a loving family. Quiet clean convenient. Hard mattress and thin pillows. Breakfast was gross.

The stay was expensive, but the rooms weren't too bad. The rooms were pretty clean and the staff were very helpful; when they were out of doubles, they gave us 2 singles at a discounted price.

Since we wanted to stay near Highway 1, we chose this place It's a good place for a night stay to relax and just change. There is not much options for breakfast though. Parking is less but curbside is available. Lives up to what's advertised.

Booked the hotel via Expedia to save a few bucks — the place was a little hole in the wall but it was fine. Don't expect Waffles as they said the machine was broken but the OJ was not bad :)

It was okay. Nothing bad nothing special. I liked the waffles for breakfast. It is pretty expensive on a weekend though. The reception was not really welcoming. Seemed like a family business. The owner and his family lived in the motel.

Better than expected for $45 a night. Clean refurbished room with microwave, air-conditioning and fast free Internet.

So I needed to check in early for a business meeting and other unforeseen circumstances made me show up to the hotel at 3 am to see if I could book and extra night to pay for. The guy answers at the front and he is a COMPLETE JERK telling me they're booked yet there were only 3 cars in the Parking lot. So I asked if I could cancel, he tells me I have to do it online, I got charged 50$ to cancel and he made No effort to keep a paying customer. What an ass! It's 3am! I will stick to Seaside Inn instead since the lady at this place is way friendlier and accommodating.

Cheap, run down, and poor customer service. The sheets are thin; rooms are not stocked with hangers or clean towels; and the office managers don't do their job! We asked for new towels and hot water cups and had to go to the office ourselves! Also parking is limited.

Dirty run down place, very limited parking, on a heavy traffic street (truck route) with poor insulation in walls. I also didn't like how they started doing repairs early in the morning w/power tools in the room next to mine.

For the location and the price — you can't beat it. The front desk clerks are friendly. You are in Seaside a short drive to Monterey and Cannery Row. There is a Starbucks and small shopping center a short walk behind the hotel. We used an extra sleeping bag we had in the car (as far as I can tell no room heater). The fridge works, I think there was a microwave, but didn’t use it. When I woke up in the morning and hit the shower water sprayed in all directions — after scraping the rubber nozzles with my fingernail the water came out in a steady stream and was quite pleasant. Not bad for fifty bucks. I don’t think I would want to stay long term but for one night I would stay again.
