Really great for the value! Not gonna be blown away but it’s a safe and clean place close to Monterrey which is all you can really ask for at this price. Highly recommend.

The outside kinda made me skeptical of how it looked inside but I was wrong. I was impressed of the bathroom and the sink but the one of the beds was noisy. The bed felt nice, the atmosphere was good, and the other rooms weren't noisy.

The bathrooms have been renovated which is a very nice touch! The sink is in the room and provides a lot of counter space. The shower has great pressure and doesn’t feel dirty at all. We had one double bed in our room which left a lot of room for our luggage. There was a decent amount of parking on premise. The price was a little expensive but on a Saturday night you don’t have a choice.

Expensive motel with decent location. Looks dirty and the beddings has holes on them. Bathroom looks renovated but lack any where to hang things. Shower curtain also looks moldy.

Its nice, clean, fridge, microwave, and coffee in every room. But 15 min late check out no exceptions or else they'll charge you… even if u give the key a minute passed 11:15. Other than that no complaints. Thumbs up.

Rooms are very clean. The bathroom has only recently been renovated. Right nearby are the usual fast-food chains. Wi-Fi is great. What more could you want. I can recommend it.

The breakfest was NASTY Its a small space too I dont recommend it to yall.

Cigarette burns on the thread bare blankets, the heater stank when it was briefly turned on, a new bathroom was nice but the motel is in a noisy area, avoid if possible.

Very nice location. In the city center. Rooms are nice too. Customer service could be better. We asked the customer service if we could leave our car on their parking for 2 hours after check out. But the indian service desk guy let us. Rooms could be cleaner. HD tv, microwave, refrigerator, bathtub etc were in the room. Heater/AC was manual operation. Wake us up several times due to too cold and too hot settings. Other than that everything else was fine.

The most important thing any hotel needs to provide is a place to sleep. This hotel fails that because the bed was so hard and thus sleep was awful. If you enjoy aching and suffering and sleeping badly, please stay at this hotel.

It was a very pleasant. The room was roomy and comfortable. Room was clean but not the cleanest and was some stains on the pillows and there was no fire alarm, just cables hanging where it's suppose to be.

Very clean and neat considering the low price. I am so satisfied with the facility.

Great value, conveniently close to beaches, parks and restaurants. Nice upgrades to room including modern fixtures. Very happy with our stay.

Im giving this hotel 0 rating but since it wont let me post this comment, ill give it a 1. If I can give this hotel a — 10 rating, I would. If you want to feel unwelcomed, experience the worst imaginable customer service and have the displeasure of meeting the most unfriendly and unhelpful staff, this is definitely the place to go. Do not even dare ask for extra towels, because you will be questioned as to why you would even use 2 when you undoubtedly just need one. This is a hotel that apparently prides itself for making their visitors feel comfortable in a prison-like sort of way.

The pictures on the web page don't match. The hotel was not in great shape. The dresser door was broken and phone looked like it was 20 years old. Staff was nice.

Good value. Recently renovated and clean. But noisy. Breakfast is small and requires a long wait.

Good place to stay for the night. Room was clean, safe, and everything worked. The only downside was that the continental breakfast was really small. Luckily there are several cafes nearby.

Sweet, family-run inn. Remodeled rooms & bathrooms. With microwaves & mini-frig. Convenient walk to restaurants & great coffee. Deserves higher rating! Recommend.

Clean no nonsense tourist type rooms. Simple and squeaky clean. Recommended for street saavy traveler as the neighborhood may be a little rougher at night for the timid types or the clueless. I would stay here again but wouldnt want my senior citizen mother here by herself. Dont want anyone to think bad about this place. Its good. Just be safe.

I am usually a very generous reviewer but this was totally unacceptable. I hate leaving bad reviews but I can't let this one go by. We stayed for 3 nights for work. The front desk guy was incredibly rude. We arrived and were in line to check in. The woman in front of us had 4 kids and was with her sister who had 2. It is Easter vacation remember. The brochure states kids stay free. That man refused to honor the brochure and insisted that she had to pay 10 dollars per child per night. She showed him his own brochure and he dismissed it. He argued the same thing with the sister who was getting the other room. They gave in and paid him I'm sure to salvage their kids vacation plans. When it was my turn all I asked was if this was a smoking room and he started yelling "NO SMOKING" "NO SMOKING" and waving his arms around like a nut. I merely pointed to the sign behind which actually said they DID have smoking rooms at the hotel, told him I understand if they are out of them but that the hotel did allow smoking. He shoved my information back at me and told me to go I could get a refund. Unbelievable. We took the room because we had to be on the site at 6 the next day. The room was nice but the view was on an alley where the dipsy dumpster for the next hotel was located and was over-flowing but that's not on this hotel. The housekeeping service was awful. The sink was clogged with food in the drain that was easily fixed by pulling up the plug and cleaning it out.

Downstairs queen bed room for 2. They remodeled and it looks very nice. Bed was comfy, no bugs, very clean. Close to a few shops and restaurants! Would stay here again. However Parking is very tight, management was very rude, he had a heavy accent it made it hard to communicate with him and free breakfast is just a waffle maker.

Booked the hotel a day ahead of time and minutes into making the wrong reservation I tried calling and canceling. But although acknowledging the situation they refused to give me my money back or cancel because it was a busy weekend. And the guy in charge argued with meme over it too. The service was bad and the room mediocre. The end.

Nice size rooms, clean and modernized. Staff is courteous. Best bang for your dollar on a budget! Highly recommend♡♡♡♡

This place is great. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and professional. He was great with the kids too! Overall, very clean and close to everything. Great prices for the weekend.

Basic motel, pretty good for its price.

Affordable place to stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The only thing I disliked about this place was the breakfast. If you include free breakfast in your hotel menu, you are supposed to sustain the quality of it. It was only one glass orange juice with packaged pie. My expectations were something better than that given the price and hotel standard. All in all good place to stay if you ignore breakfast.

This was my first time in this motel. Booked it online which the price was great but when I arrived with my grandchildren the manager said don't let kids run around and make noise or people downstairs will complain. Why would they put me upstairs if that's gonna be a problem and at that moment I knew this motel was not kid friendly and second as I was taking down my bags he said they only allowed TWO luggages in the room. "are you freakn kidding me" after all the money that was spent and right on the spot said I needed to leave a 100 deposit which was not explained at time of reserving and NO BREAKFAST. I will not bring my family here again. Just to let you know sandcastle motel is the best with a huuuuge variety of breakfast.

Office was friendly — but had overwhelming smell of Indian food. Room was OK, if it was $50, but for over $200 on a holiday weekend I think it was too high. I mean, deteriorating trim, missing grout in the bathroom tile, broken window frame that could not be locked, HBO that the staff could not tell me how to operate, coffee maker had the most tasteless coffee I've ever experienced, when I went to the lobby around 7 am it was locked, nobody around. The amenities listed for this location said it had "Continental Breakfast", but I saw no sign of it. Supposedly they open up at 8, but wasn't much use since I had to be somewhere else by then. Next night around 5 pm the power went out, and when I called the lobby, nobody answered, so I went down, and it was locked, nobody around. I talked with several "neighbors" while we all wondered how this was going. In a few minutes, power went back on, not sure whether management had anything to do with it. At any price, I expect to always be able to contact the front desk. 24/7. So, location was convenient, but not well managed. I would not stay again.

Basic, cheap motel. Best price I found in Monterey. It was unusually clean for what appeared to be a dumpy motel on the outside. Wi-Fi was very slow, barely usable. No free breakfast. Decent location.
