This is a very nice and clean place. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. The room was nice and cool when we arrived. It was a warm day. I wish the pool could have been used Wednesday evening. It was 104 degrees and I was a little sad when my wife and I couldn't use the pool. Thursday morning the ice machine was not working also? I loved my stay and their breakfast was wonderful. I would be happy to stay there again.

The rooms were cleanish but cramped and overpriced. The TV remote wouldn’t work and the satellite signal kept going in and out despite the fact that the weather was clear. The desk clerk did attempt to fix the TV and it worked briefly but didn’t continue to. I’ve paid less and gotten more.

The staff at this particular establishment is very good at what they do! M y stay here has been one of the best I can remember! One of the housekeepers. (Patricia) has been very kind. As well as helpful… * I see great things in her future, not only with Quality Inn. But, in life in general… THANK YOU PATRICIA! And, JOSH. The maintenance man here is very hard working, skilled and quite helpful/friendly… *YOU HAVE A GOOD ONE IN HIM! * GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE! Quality Inn is wonderful. The rooms are always clean, the housekeeper's do a splendid job with providing guest with clean and comfortable rooms. Brian who works front desk works very hard and is extremely helpful. Brian is spectacular at front desk and helped my family and I gain the best experience you can ask for, so thank you so much Brian. Breakfast is incredible; eggs are cooked so well, bacon is great, coffee is just right. I recommend everyone to visit Quality Inn it's definitely worth your buck.

Very friendly staff, clean and breakfast is good as well. Front desk agent Brian was very helpful and made sure our stay was perfect.

Bed and room were good. A lot of road noise. Breakfast was AWESOME! Overall, worth the cash.

Pool out of order, door safety lock hinge hanging from 1 screw, flies in room, iron don't work. It's 4:30pm house keeping gone for the day and the front desk clerk doesn't know where he can get a replacement iron. Good grief I will be cancelling my fourth of July reservations. Other than that it's okay.

Room is okay, has all the basic stuffs that a hotel offers, could have made the guests more welcoming for their stay if there were smiles on the staffs face.

This is the filthiest motel I've ever visited. The bedding was filthy, the pool and jacuzzi were out of order. The elevator was not in service. I walked into my room and left immediately. When I spoke with front desk to complain about dirty blankets, he told me they were cleaned just stained. I took pictures of a pubic hair on bed. Horrible! I don't want to give any stars but must to post.

Kinda gross place. In need of a face-lift. Pool is absolutely grose and the place kinda feels like a dump but if your looking for a cheap place to rest your head then lock your car doors and make sure you don't have any valubles in the car. Plus it looks like someone punched the TV…

Nice place, clean rooms, recently remodeled, good breakfast, reasonable rates and decent parking. I'd stay here again.

The beds were so comfortable, and the breakfasts were right on, just the bathroom shower needed repair but the staff were great.

The staff charged me a cash deposit then personally inspected my room and wouldn't give me my money and all I wanted was to add an extra night to my stay! Then I asked to speak to a manager which she agreed with and she instead called the police! I was patiently waiting outside for the manager and a police officer comes to escort me off the premises. Just because I wanted an itemized bill for the 150$ that the clerk refused to return. Hopefully their corporate office can fix this. I had stayed at this location several times and had a good report with most of the staff but it only takes one…

Best Merced Hotel I've stayed at yet, and the best price! Two bed room with everything I'd expect, and even a microwave! My only complaint is the bathrooms — water pressure in the shower is very low, at least, and the spray of the water from the sink is a little harsh.

Small but comfortable room. Polite staff. Good bed. The motel district is a little isolated just off Hwy 99. Guests need to drive for food.

Nice people nice rooms not a bad price free continental breakfast with everything you could want. Open mail dry cereal Belgium waffles bacon eggs sausage Orange juice Apple to use grape juice Butter toast And bagels.

Room 125 is the worst stay ever. The door is a thin interior bedroom door that blocks no noise. It is right next to a hallway exterior door they have made to slam shut to make sure it locks. Impossible to sleep in this room. I finally got up and complained they moved me rooms and I could finally sleep. They should never stick anybody in that room. Terrible room.

Never again. Poor amenities, terrible bathroom, walls so thin you hear everyone and everything. Toilet was so low you would touch water sitting. Shower rod was falling apart. Carpet needs replacing as it had layers of dirt in them made my shoes black. Only stayed here because I was tricked by other families going cheap. Will not be staying here ever again.

Not a bad motel overall my room had a musty / moldy smell and the ants were pretty bad at times. Staff was friendly and helpful. I thought the prices were a little high but it is California… breakfast was tasty.

Older motel. Great complimentary breakfast. All motel personnel we met were very polite, friendly, and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. This motel is right off the freeway and not too far away are train tracks, but both sounds we're very muted inside the room. Did not both our sleep.

Expensive. The absolute smallest little cracker box I've ever stayed in for almost $200/night. That price is consistent with the other hotels in the area (Berkeley) but I've definitely had better. Rooms are in desperate need of a serious update. Free continental breakfast was about the best part of the experience.

Needed a place to stay after other hotel backed out of reservation. Was so grateful they had 1 vacancy. Room was clean and staff was super friendly!

The rooms are okay and include some modern upgrades like individual reading lights, microwave, and mini fridge. The location could use some better lighting in some areas of the parking lot. The biggest improvement would be on the Front Desk side, it took multiple calls in order to get a hold of someone.

Came here with the family. Ice machine, luggage cart, bed, TV, desk, chairs, pool, hot tub, Breakfast in the morning. What else should I say? Oh the freeway is right there? Same with every hotel in this city… So it's a 4 star rating. Devina was kind and checked us in promptly! Selfish plug @badcatcraig.

Bad experience. Blood on sheets near head. When called, front desk accused us. Said not a clean king size sheet in house. Wanted to cover it with a bedspread. No other room. 1&1/2 hour later he returned with a clean sheet fresh out of dryer. After driving 8 hours who wants to deal with this st 10:00 at night! All they said was "So sorry".

Small rooms but nice. Plus a small continental breakfast and pool, perfecr for a couple day stay.

Quality Inn, Merced, CA ZERO STARS! This place ought to be shut down due to fraud. They charge your credit card for charges that are not approved and not your charges. The staff is PATHETIC! Julie who says she is the manager and states that she has no boss, is USELESS! When you call to find out why your card was charged 3 and four times for one night she simply states "I just walked in, I will look into it" and then you NEVER hear back from her. We work in town so will stay here from time to time (however as little as possible! ). The last time we stayed here the owners son came in our room in the middle of the night cussing at us and telling us to get out of his room. When we called the front desk, they said "yes" get out of that room you are not supposed to be there" REALLY? The shower didn't have a shower curtain, so guess what, we showered and let the floor puddle up with water. We had one towel and when we called the front desk they came up with one more towel, said they didn't have any other towels. When you try to check out in the morning to get your receipt, so you can verify what has been charged on your credit card, no one is at the front. They are "stocking" breakfast area and simply tell you, they can't help you. The place is a dirty mess. No one cares about it. My employee checked out this morning and even know my card was already charged twice, they have the nerve to ask him for CASH! Really!

Nice hot breakfast, kind staff, clean rooms. Didn't see any type of bug. Cool rooms in the summer.

It's ok for what you pay for. Clean enough with a friendly staff so that's nice. The nearby train tracks and freeway are very loud though. My biggest complaint is the foldaway bed in the suite had no linens or pillows. When I asked the staff for both they had sheets to give me but no pillows.

Parking was horrible and there were mattresses in the parking lot. The deposit was ridiculous and when I went in the room there were a few bugs inside.

Worst hotel ever they stole my luggage nobody could help the staff extremely rude disgusting dirty never in my life would I stay in that hotel.

It seems clean and the breakfast room is really nice but it is not as good as Sleep In. The hallways are open towards the yard and it is extremely noisy from outside. The service at the front desk is not that good.

I stay in san jose was a good experience.

My usual place to stay when I work in Merced. Okay overall, the rooms are serviceable but invariably there one thing wrong or broken whenever I visit. This time it was the drain on the sink, it won't stay open all the way. It's close to the train tracks and the freeway so it's never what I would call quiet. All these things are never bad enough to stop me from coming back. The staff is always super nice and helpful. Never had a problem with them and if there's an issue that needs to be fixed they're on top of it. Overall, for the price it's pretty good. Wouldn't necessarily go there on a family vacation or with someone who is a bit picky about things, but if you're working in Merced for a few days and need some place to shower and catch some ZZZZs cheaply it's perfect for that.

Never stay here! Used to be a good hotel, was bought out and now sucks. Room reservations messed up — my parents booked a room for four nights and pre-paid. They were checked out on the second night and even though my mom had receipts showing payment for four, they had to fight to even get in the room to get their stuff! It's a non-smoking hotel but people were smoking a variety of things all over the hotel and in rooms. Huge parties in the parking lot with beer cans thrown on/in other vehicles and motorcycles being raced in the parking lot. Employees were enjoying a beer in the parking lot with the guests during their shift! I had four family members reserve rooms there and all three had room problems. Sad!

Worst stay anywhere ever and I used to be homeless. I'm only giving 1☆ because — 4 isn't on here. If you're ever in the area stay any where else. (sleeping in your car would be better) • no hot water • ac doesn't work • plastic shower curtains smell (eww) I only stayed because every where else was booked months prior to uc merced graduation. Now I know why!?! no one that has ever stayed here would ever repeat.

Trash cans over flowing with trash; cigarette butts all over the ground outside and in the halls; the lobby STINKS of cigarette smoke! The highway is right next door and the single panel windows don't hold out the noise. Horrible!

Asked for a room with a microwave, was told that there were none available, even though we were early to check in and the other people were not here. My reservations was made online. I'm extremely unhappy, there is no amount of appologizing that will help. A letter to management is on its way. I may gave to relocate to the hotel next door.
