Off the main hwy a bit further than most of the other hotels and a gas station walking distance same cornor. It's convient and quiet worth it!

Very clean. Great location in Central California. Large rooms and very comfortable beds. The breakfast area is spacious and set up very conveniently. I've stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels, from France to Canada and Indianapolis to San Diego. This is one of the better spots.

Place is under construction but quite, very cozy place to unwind after work!

Nice people upon check-in, front desk and called my room to follow up on my check in and to see if I needed anything. Extremely heavy cleaning smell, even the fitness room made me feel like I'm going to get cancer from breathing the air. My room toilet seat wasn't cleaned. Breakfast was great, full hot and cold options. Decent pool, hot tub, and exercise room, used them all.

Great experience. The front desk staff was amazing and helped with more than just the bare minimum. The rooms we got were good and the beds were actually decent for hotel beds. I don't anticipate needing to stay in the area again but if I do I will for sure go back here.

Typical Holiday inn… Always better than all the other places in town… Good beds. Good breakfast. Fast food options close by and easy freeway access.

Very nice hotel except my room smells like dog urine; very strong odor. This is why allowing dogs doesn't work. I'm a dog owner and I love to travel with my dog, but lots of people with dogs don't care. This hurts all of us dog owners. Hotels should have designated rooms with no carpeting if they want to allow dogs. My room is foul and it's hard to walk around barefoot. Nice job dog owner. Pull the carpet and put in tile if this is going to be a dog room.

Merced's Holiday Inn is our go-to when we come to visit family here. It is clean, the staff is nice, a wonderful free complimentary breakfast, and just an overall comfortable stay! But there is one one worker here who always goes above and beyond and is extremely nice, her name is Veronica. She is always sweet and helps us out whenever we need help during our stay, and in the mornings for breakfast. My family always engage in a wonderful conversation with her — — just extremely nice. I always look forward to seeing her when we come here. She's a hard worker that does her job phenomenally! Thank you especially to Veronica, and of course the whole Holiday Inn Staff in Merced!

Staff was exceptional, room spotless and overall experience quite gratifying. Now on my permanent list of GOOD places to stay, highly recommend. (the gas station & KFC close by should take lessons from them in customer service)

Great customer service… clean rooms… Wi-Fi available. The pool is smaller than shown on website… fitness and business center's are decent. Right off freeway 99. Near downtown Merced where there are several places to dine.

Our stay included everything you would hope for. Free parking, free breakfast, a clean room, a comfortable bed, and nice staff. Would definitely stay again!

Great hotel! We travel a lot and are picky about where we stay. This was a last minute stop. Check in process was easy and the staff was very friendly. Room is very clean and comfortable. Limited signs of wear. Breakfast was good and complimentary, which is always a plus.

Perfect location and kids loved the outdoor pool. Room was spacious and clean and the staff was super friendly. Would stay here again!

Fantastic 超级棒，free parking, 热的早餐，hot breakfast ，kinds of milk and yogurt, sausage, ham, eggs in different styles, the best hotel during my 12-day journey in America. Hospitable staff, who gives me a restaurant coupon and I get a half carale of red wine, that's really cool. Nice linens, clean and comfortable beds. Considering the price, it is the most valuable one.

We planned on staying @ the neighboring hotel, untill we actually seen the place. Considering we've been regular guests b4 @ Holiday Inn, in Vacaville & loved it. We figured it'd be well worth it to stay here @ Holiday Inn Express in Merced. In compared to the few other hotels in this area, this 1 was far better kept & I felt our vehicles were a bit safer here than in any of the neighboring hotel parking lots. The rooms were OK, but didn't seem to be as clean as they should have been. If possible, it'd be worth it to drive a bit farther to find another hotel.

I have stayed here several times in various rooms. All the rooms have been spacious, clean, no defective furniture or fixtures. The beds are always comfortable w/several fluffy pillows. Breakfast in the morning has a variety of items-scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, fruit, cereals, juices, coffee, yogurt, muffins/breads. Staff is courteous. Lobby, dining areas, bathrooms have always been clean. I have also been here for trainings/meetings and the conference rooms are spacious and clean.

Room was clean aside from the bathtub floor needing a serious deep cleaning. The toilet seat could have also been replaced as it was missing chunks of material from the surface of the seat. Overall the room was clean but house keeping could have done a more efficient job of cleaning before our visit and it's clear that the hotel is older and is in need of some replacements (furniture/appliances/etc. ) In the near future. My stay was mediocre at it's finest.

I really liked my room. It was very quiet with an amazingly comfy bed. I love the white citrus Bath and Body Works Shampoo, Conditioner and the Body lotion, Bath and Body Works. I forgot my razor and they sent on up free of charge very awesome. They only drawback was the price but it is a wonderful place to stay.

Clean place with good accommodations. Beds are nice but not the best. Towels could use an update. Decent breakfast. I would stay here again.

I had Room 101 and it was so noisy. Right next to an entrance and a staircase so we had parking lot noise/light as well as the routine sound of loud footsteps down the stairwell. Then we had to deal with the earliest housekeeping I've ever experienced trying to clean our rooms at 8:30 AM. The room I was in didn't have a Do Not Disturb tag in it so I couldn't avoid the knock! The location and amenities aren't bad but the experience was poor.

Great free breakfast! Ready made omelets, fancy pancake machine, breakfast sausage… There's the standard boiled eggs, cereal, and yogurt too.

The front desk person who checked us in was not the most pleasant but she got us in fast. Our room was nice, beds comfortable. (We did encounter a bug on the wall and wasn't sure what it was). My kids and I were happy to use the pool and jacuzzi and the complimentary breakfast was great. Overall, a positive experience.

This place was a welcome sight after a long day of driving. The room was clean well appointed. Had a very restful sleep. Breakfast was appreciated. And the pool was awesome. The grandkids loved the stay.

No matter where I go I get the same service at a Holiday Inn Express. When you vet there and the weather is hot they have the A. C. On so your room is cool when you get there. Plus they have a good complimentary breakfast. Just saying, the little things count.

Bad dirty hotel. Water in sink did not flushed out. Curtains did not close. Sheets were not clean. Floor not properly vacuum cleand. Hairs in bathroom. The airco was leaking water on the floor. In our trip till now the most horrible hotel.

Quiet room, lots of variety at breakfast. I wish I had tried the pancake machine. Great stay!

Great hotel overall. There is Wi-Fi in every room, pool and free breakfast. I will note that the dining area for breakfast gets pretty busy and it can be tough to find a table, at least on weekends when we went. Good food selection though.

The staff was extremely helpful. They even called our room once we were settled in to ask if everything was ok with our room and said if we needed anything else, please be sure to call. That was a first. We've never had that happen to us. The complementary breakfast was extremely nice. The Denver omelet was a very nice touch. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The reception was friendly. Check-in was pretty smooth. The facility is well maintained. Break fast was excellent. One of the best we had at holiday inn recently. One main issue we had was that, we stayed in and the flood lights in the parking lot were exactly facing the window. We had too much of light hitting our face in the night. My kids couldn't sleep at all. In the middle of the night they woke me up and I tried to block the light as much as I can. I would suggest the hotel management to take a look at this room in the night after all lights in the room are switched off and see how annoying it is. They could at least provide these rooms with an extra layer thicker curtain that can be completely closed. This should be easy to do.

A great stay, quiet and very clean. I manage vacation rentals, and am very picky about cleanliness. Also, my husband forgot a charging cord and Sean the manager was so helpful in returning it to us. It was in the mail the next day. Truly nice people.

Last minute booking on a busy graduation weekend. Online showed no rooms, called and was able to accommodate request. Check-in was swift and courteous. Room was clean, AC worked well, nice amenities for value. Breakfast was great and well stocked for everyone. Happy we stayed here.

I don't like Merced but had to stay for a few days. This hotel made it a surprisingly pleasant experience! I was impressed by the staff… and the large quantities of bacon at breakfast time!
