This place pleasantly surprised me at how well kept and clean it was. I've stayed in Super 8 before and it hasn't been the greatest experience. The room was nice and comfortable, the bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, but unfortunately the jets didn't even turn on, so that was disappointing, but otherwise was great! The breakfast was pretty good, the Wi-Fi is a bit hard to connect to at first, but eventually it worked out.

I called to ask for a downstairs room so it would be easier for my 85 year old mother to access. They not only gave us a downstairs room, but also a larger room that made our stay very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

It was our first time staying there and we'll be staying there again when we're on the road. It was a great experience. Clean and well decorated room, clean towels, toiletries, microwave, refrigerator, ironing equipment, hair dryer, coffee, snacks everything essential was there. Great ambiance, I'll recommend it!

The rooms were very clean, it was quiet and the check-in and check-out went very smooth. For the price the included breakfast was absolutely sufficient. We would come back.

Location is easy to reach from the highway. The rooms were absolutely terrible. There were dead smashed bugs on the wall. The door to the room was not sealed at the bottom which not only let light in, but negated any bit of sound proofing that might have been there. The mini fridge was on the fritz and made strange noises. The front desk's only solution was to unplug it, which means no saved leftovers. The handicap shower had no slant in it causing water to run all over the tile in the toilet/shower room. Made me fell like a foot fungus disaster waiting to happen. Not recommend at all.

Perfect resting spot before Avenue of the Giants 10k. Rooms nice and clean and they are very accommodating plus next to Eel River Brewery for dinner!

Very clean. Always has everything as expected. (Sometimes I don't like hotels not having, lotions, shampoos, not enough tissues, etc) but this One never disappoints me. Excellent price. Will recommend it to anyone wanting a decent room at a good price. Oh! (Forgot to mention), both receptionists here are great.

It was a nice place with 3 queen beds for a big family. Breakfast was simple but nice.

About what you'd expect from a Super 8, but they gave us a non-smoking room that very clearly had poorly masked smoke smell soaked into every surface of the room. Are they all like that? I'm not sure, but I did notice a lot of guests had their doors open that night before going to sleep. We tried it ourselves and it helped with the smell. You get what you pay for, I guess. Employees were helpful though.

Stayed for 5 days working out of town. Everyday beds were made and everything was cleaned and replaced. Pizza and gas within walking distance. Eel River brewery and restruant is across north parking lot.

This hotel is pretty good, they have tiny cups for juice and some small breakfast items which I find adorable. Rooms are decent enough to feel cozy and comfortable.

The GM and other staff were all very friendly and hospitable. Rooms looks recently updated and were clean. Breakfast area was nice and clean and taken care of in the mornings. The beds and pillows were nice and comfortable and the rooms were large enough that we could spread out and have a nice place to put our stuff. My only complaint was that it was obvious the towels had some wear to them. The washcloths were stained and may be time to be replaced. Other than that, the stay was great. Definitely recommend it.

We usually stay at the Best Western next door but it was full, so we tried the Super 8 Fortuna. I have to say we liked it even better than the BW. Rooms have been completely updated and are beautiful, large and very clean and comfortable. Convenient walk across the parking lot to a great Eatery and Alehouse (Eel River Brewing). Easy access back to Hwy 101. Will definitely stay here again and again during our travels.

We have stayed there in the past… all the personnel is very friendly & accommodating & we get a pet room when we stay there… they had recently redid the rooms, the bed spreads & wall murals were all new, very pretty. One drawback is they got smaller bed pillows than the average size. More decorative than a bed pillow. Hard to sleep on. Was also slightly disappointed in the cleanliness of our room on the first day… no kleenex & very little toilet paper, had to ask for that & there was long black hairs hanging from the shower mat & shower curtain, but aside from that, the room was very clean. The continental breakfast is very ample. Lots of selections such as yogurt, bagels, fresh fruit, cereal, juice & a waffle machine. The price had gone up abit since the last time we stayed, it was almost $350 for 2 nights which seemed abit steep. But all in all, we will stay there again. It is centrally located in town, with a nice view & within walking distance of the Riverwalk. The brewery is right across the way as well as a Starbucks & local shopping Center.

We had a pretty good experience. I was traveling with my older parents who got a room with only one double bed in it. They had a pretty good roll-away brought in for me and it worked. My Aunt and Uncle used the "disabled" room but ended up going to Best Western because the room was just too tight. With two queen beds and no extra seating the room seemed too small for anyone with a wheel chair. Did not have a pool or work-out room. Breakfast was nice and basic. Faint smell of smoke even though we had a non-smoking room. Staff was patient and friendly.

The suite was pretty basic for being almost 200 a night. There is much better rooms in near by locations that are nicer better location and easy more amenities. They also were super rude and made me feel super uncomfortable.

It was comfortable and quiet.

Have stayed here many of times to the point I'm on first name basis. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows, nice restaurant next door. You can't go wrong. Excellent staff, and very welcoming! Recently remodeled.

Stay here was great. Services, room, services and area was will lighted with daylight light bulb. Very good place for family and business trips. However if u care only for the breakfast, go over to Redwood river Inn, they both have the same rates.

Customer service sucks… when I asked if they wanted my business they said "no, that is fine" I asked them if they wanted to change the reservation dates or have me go to Quality Inn next door, and they said Quality inn was fine! I agree!

We enjoyed our stay at the Super 8 in Fortuna, Ca. Our room was clean and quiet. I liked having a fridge and microwave as well as Wi-Fi. The parking lot is well lite at night, and the staff was very friendly. The EEL River Brewery, next door, is a fabulous place to eat. I'm glad we chose to stay in Fortuna, it is close enough to Eureka/Arcata without the "rift raft" and pan handlers.

My senior lady friend and I stayed here this last week and the first night $90 with taxes, and the second nights handicapped room was awful, at $109! My leg and knee had swollen from driving so long and we got stuck staying another night, so I could continue our drive home to Santa Rosa. The stay was fine, otherwise. Breakfast is fabulous, it was quiet rooms, never heard anyone's TV or talking. It was a Friday night too. On the second night. Stay on the north side of the motel if you want the cooler side. The breeze is perfect for night time. Water pressure was good for our showers and having the microwave and fridge are a nice plus. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.

The staff always welcomes me with a smile. They are friendly, helpful, and project the qualities I expect in the staff of a Hilton or Wyndham property. The rooms are a bit dark, but opening the privacy shades during the day resolved this issue. The rooms are clean. The Eel River Brewing Company Restaurant and Bar is directly across the parking lot and provides a 10% discount when you show them your room key. Rooms have simple amenities, but they are all well-kept and functional. Wireless Internet is available and works consistently well. This is definitely the place to stay when visiting Fortuna.

The price was good for what you get. They have recently remodeled, so the room was nice. I was awakened by footsteps in the room above ours, other than that it was a good basic motel room.

The guy at the front desk was extra helpful. He was able to recommend some great places in the area to ride and was extra helpful when I forgot my phone in the room. I would stay there again for sure. There is a nice bar just across the parking lot too. Great location.
