Best hotel to stay at in crescant city. Also has a full bar and restaurant on the property. The restaurant also happens to be the best restaurant in town. A large complimentary breakfast every morning. Very polite and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and modern. The weekday night shift office employee is especially helpful. She is very polite and professional. Hotel has a heated indoor pool, spa and fitness facility.

The staff here are all incredibly friendly and helpful — makes a huge and positive difference.

Yes! Top notch motel. I was on the third floor. I had partial view of the Eel River. The angle allowed me to look down at the street level. Straight out view… there's a lot, trees… the Eel River. I had a suite and it was sweet. One of better bathrooms with a shower. I like the mirrors. I felt my bed was firm as well as my cable TV was great. There's a love sofa… good place to relax. Lighting all good. A desk with a light to work. Continental breakfast best I had since I've been renting last May 2018. Thanks.

Pretty central for a week's vacation. Not much in the town itself but excellent location for visiting the sights (and the sites) around there. The Redwood forest, with the Avenue of the Giants, is just to the south. Eureka is north a bit. Ferndale (after crossing the Fernbridge bridge) is a short drive west. Plenty to do… coming 'home' each evening to rest and get ready for the next adventure. We spent every evening in the pool trying to tire them out, but the boys were still ready to get up and go in the morning. Nice little breakfast served there, so we didn't have to stop on the way each morn. Oh! And within walking distance is the best restaurant for mac-n-cheese. Seriously! Check them out.

Good hotel. Stayed there for a couple weeks for work. The overnight ladies are the best. Always had breakfast ready at 530 because we left for work at 6. Margarita is one of the coolest people you'll ever meet and does a great job. Try the pizza at the funky monkey next door.

My friends and I checked in very late and the night auditor Devora, was very helpful in getting us roll away beds as only king rooms were available. We checked three closets and we were able to find two roll aways.

Nice place. Clean. Small pool and hot tub room, weight room. Coffee maker was broke… always loose a star for no coffee. Hehe Nice and close to the Brewery for dinner and some beers. Fuel station close by as well.

The toilet tank cover didn't even fit and you can see into the tank! Really needs a deep clean. Don't go looking too hard as the corners are filled with dust and hair. Our toilet seat was sealed with a sanitary wrap but when I lifted it there was pubes on the seat. Can't even shut the shower curtain because the rod is sagging so it always falls to the middle. The covers are weird, they put a comforter they don't wash between two sheets so you're always struggling to not touch the middle layer. They gave us a room that can be joined to the one next so we get to be woken up by their hair dryer every day. The pool and spa smell like mildew and there is blue and black mold growing on all the grout lines. Wish we wouldn't have stayed here.

Great relaxing hotel close to the red wood forest. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really good. Plus the price from the room wasn't to bad considering the time of the year that I stayed here. I Travel for work and the indoor pool felt great to get in after a long hard day of work.

Clean, nice location. Less than a mile from grocery stores, Starbucks, and a few restaurants. The frogs at night are lovely.

Be aware that each hotel makes their own incidental charge policy and this manager said he will charge up to $250 for one night's INCIDENTAL CHARGE to a credit card or debit card. This money will be held and unavailable for a week or more. To add to my review of the Comfort Inn in Fortuna, California trying to charge a $250 incidental charge for one night; I called similar Comfort Inns along the Oregon coast and in Eureka. They were shocked by the amount of money that the manager of the Comfort Inn in Fortuna California thought he was entitled to have as an incidental charge. They said that hotel must have had a lot of problems or the guys just crazy to try and charge that kind of money to unsuspecting people coming through. Sounds like the manager's motive is to punish every single guest since he's had trouble with a few others, in which he should have charged them accordingly and moved on instead of holding a grudge against every new customer that comes through. So this is obviously an isolated and greedy person of a very small town "hotel. " His rudeness was evident as I spoke with him about why he would think he would be entitled to charging such a high incidental charge and then his long — winded reply in which he seemed angry that anyone would challenge giving him their money.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Good rates, good breakfast. The only negative I would say is that, the room is huge! There is no reason to have the coffee set up in the bathroom! It always creeps me out when they do that! Anyone who has taken microbiology knows why this is so gross. There is no reason to have coffee in the bathroom when the rooms are huge!

Newly remodeled and looks great. Even the rooms have been refreshed and updated.

Great place! Easy to find. Very comfortable rooms… the best things were the rocking chairs looking out on to the ocean.

We just stayed last night. The room smelled of mold, there was peeling paint around the top of the window (obvious sign of leak) and the bath tub was dirty. I expected something better for $184.00 a night. Safe to say that I'll be sticking with The Hilton or Marriott from now on.

The staff and facility were amazing in my planning and executing a major event for my organization! Then when a snafu happened with my points and corporate wouldn't do anything they remedied the situation with extras! I will bring all my guests to them in the future! Their corporate office could use a lesson in customer service from this branch in Fortuna! My guests loved the Inn and the staff!

Don't be fooled by the name. This place is a gem. It has all the amenities you want in a clean no hype environment. The rooms here are spacious, clean and no musty carpet smell. Their continental breakfast was good with a pancake maker and ample supply of milk, yogurt and a few other favorites. Parking was excellent and the staff here was down to earth and overly friendly when we asked for tourist spots.

Hotel was nice, staff was friendly. Room had a very bright streetlight that shined through the window. That would normally be okay, but the blackout curtains didn't close, they were purely decorative, and didn't have a rail to pull them closed. The heater also rattled quite a bit and I had to change the fan speed in the middle of the night. I'm sure the staff would have promptly made the situation right if I had asked. It just wasn't a big enough deal to be worth leaving the room to get resolved. Otherwise very clean and nice hotel, would still stay there again if I was in the area.

Good breakfast but not nearly as good as their location in San Luis Obispo, that breakfast was excellent! Many more choices. Still, overall a superior experience for the price range.

I was just there for about a week and I had an excellent experience the entire stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hot breakfast in the morning was amazing. The service I received during my stay was second to none as everyone was friendly and very helpful. Kelsey and Emma we're always cheerful and friendly so a special shout out to them for their professionalism and going above and beyond the call of duty!

The lobby was sophisticated and clean. The location was convenient because it was right on our path. The service was very friendly. The beds were amazing.

Justin charged me well over double the cost of an advertised reservation rate for the same room. 240 for a two queen room on a Tuesday night-early Wednesday morning 3-22 to 3-23 somthing like 1 in the morning. When I just checked the reservation price online at being 104. Dollars. That's not including the 200 cash deposit for the room. He tried to steal my change, because little did he know the smell of alcohol on me was from driving my two friends who had been partying that night I being the DD. Unless it was an honest mistake and he wasn't trying to swindle me. Figured he was having a bad night or somthing so I tipped him 20. He informed me that the rooms bathtub had a minor crack no big deal I said as long as he knew and they wouldn't try to charge me for it. I was looking forward to a nice hot shower and a blanket. Woke up at 7:00 to, the sound of a drill or saw as they were under construction at the time, the contractors tools making the gym inaccessable. Grabbed what I thought was a towel off the bed threw on some shorts put on my sweatshirt, draped the 'towel' around my shoulders and headed down to the hot tub. The door was locked and my jew wasn't working even though the sign said open 6am. Not that big of deal, walked to the front desk and asked the girl there if I could use the pool and hottub. Justin rounded the corner and she had him take me and open the door.

Everything about our stay was great. Great service from Dave upon check in and the amenities were stellar. The ongoing renovations are really starting to take things to the next level. It's the only place I stay when I visit the Eureka area. We Will be back.

I had to spent more than 2000 dollars staying in this hotel with fake eggs breakfast so they can refuse giving me a second key because my boyfriend is the resitered guest… for security reasons… one retared receptionist should know who their guests are if you had stayed more than two weeks.

This hotel needs serious customer service help! They ripped me and my friend off over $50 because they tried to say a suite for 6 people was only for one person. Also after we disputed this charge and left because we weren't getting anywhere civilly with David as he was raising his voice at us and being abusive, he added another charge immediately for smoking in the room when we absolutely did not. Totally dishonest! This has been done to others as per previous Google reviews! This man is running a scam on people so don't fall for it! He is merely retaliating against people that ask questions about strange charges on their bill and the fact that the bill was changed 4 times within less than 24 hours. Absolute scam artist!

Worst experience ever! DO NOT STAY HERE unless you are prepared to have your credit card charged more than you agreed to! Crappy beds, crappy linin, worst customer service I have ever experienced with a hotel but I could get over all of that IF they would have not over charged my card & just said 'you were misinformed'. DO NOT STAY HERE — — I wish I would have known this before.

Clean rooms, pool was fun for the kids, beds were comfortable. Not a destination but a very nice stop between the RedWoods and SanFran!

Great place, clean, quiet, on the river away from traffic noise, and they treat truckers rudely (according to the other review), so what more could one ask for? No truckers even, greaaaaaaaaaaaaatt.
