I had an amazing experience with the hotel and the staff. I've seen nothing but smiley faces. Made my stay so pleasant! And the breakfast was delicious. I'll be there in Oct 6th! See you guys soon.

The room is very nice and clean and there are plenty of towels in the bathroom. Has a small refrigerator and microwave oven for snacks. Speaking of snacks, they have vending machines next to the office with drinks and snacks, and in the morning there will be a continental breakfast served in the lobby of the hotel office. I would recommend a stay at the Best Western in Ventura Ca. Down town shops and restaurants are just a block or two away, and the beach and Pier are also within walking distance. In my humble opinion it is a great place to stay and the location is great for discovering what Ventura has to offer.

The hotel is not fancy, but is a good value for the price. Our room was an ok size and looked like it had been redone recently. As with most Best Westerns, there was a microwave and small refrigerator. We chose to take the train to Ventura, so we didn't have a car. This hotel was well located for walking. It was a short walk to the pier and downtown (Main street) and about a fifteen minute walk to the train station.

No complaints from us. Bed was comfortable. Room was nice, roomy, and clean. Temperature was comfortable. Breakfast was typical with good variety. They were renovating but at other end and no disturbance for us. Place was pretty full but quiet. Walking distance to pier and downtown, quick to freeway. Good price for the area. We would stay here again.

Best Western Plus is my hotel of choice when I visit Ventura county! It offers one of the best staff to customer experiences and the complimentary breakfast is over the top! They offer every bread and pastry you can think of and more, including eggs, bacon, sausage, home style potatoes, and homemade refried beans. They have waffles, oatmeal, and cereal available too! This hotel is great! It even offered a juice machine and several types of coffees. Did I mention yogurt, fresh fruit, including chopped fruit, and several granola toppings also were served. For the price I paid, I definitely received the better end of the deal. Affordable prices with excellent amenities! Five stars!

The final stages of a renovation are in progress so some of the exterior finishes are not 100% complete, but the place looks great. The location is excellent, right off the freeway and walking distance to the pier and various restaurants. The interior is nicely appointed. Decent furniture, clean linens, fresh clean carpet, and clean bathrooms. I appreciated that both bedside lamps had two outlets to allow for easy charging of devices. Great value for the area and price point.

Very Clean Rooms, Friendly Service, Easy Check-In with Breakfast. Great Location right off the freeway and close to Ventura's many attractions. This is where we will stay when we are back in the area.

Spent three nights at the Best Western Plus Ventura Inn while visiting the Channel Islands National Park. Upstairs king room was nice. Breakfast buffet is extensive and good. Many restaurants located in walking distance. Beach and Ventura Pier is an easy walk. Ventura Harbor (where you catch boat rides to the islands) is a quick ten minute drive to the south with just a short stretch on US-101. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating.

Great up grades to the rooms. I love staying here. Breakfast is good. Its walking distant to the middle of old town Ventura. Highly recommend.

For ~$150/night, this place was way better than I expected. As of (4/2018) it looked to have been thoroughly and recently rennovated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And the location of the hotel was great for getting to the ocean. The staff was also friendly and helpful. I really liked that all their vending machines actually had Credit Card readers and we're very well stocked. I would definitely stay here again or recommend others to.

It's being renovated. Clean room at a decent price. Reasonable breakfast offerings. Avoid the back wall rooms, there's train tracks behind the hotel. And they're used.

With easy access to many attractions, this Best Western is a worthwhile stay. Far enough away from the freeway to not hear traffic at night, the hotel is still easy to find. Half of the rooms are closed for remodeling: the updated layout with new fixtures and paint gives the guest rooms a clean and modern feel. It isn't a fancy hotel, but the rooms were nicer than I expected in a beach hotel with no interior hallways.

Very nice hotel close to everything: City Center, beach and Pier (accessible via a direct walkway). The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly. Recommended.

The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were crisp best I have ever had in a hotel. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room was kept clean and well supplied. Would stay here again.

My friends and I, paying customers, were kicked out by Diego the night manager as we were settling in to go to bed. We ended up forced to spend a cold sleepless night on the beach. This individual, in addition to this, made unwarranted personal attacks on our character and profiled us due to having long hair and dressing in heavy metal attire, as our actions were not in any way warranting of being kicked out. This is not an establishment visitors of Ventura can count on to make them feel welcomed, and any visitors are strongly encouraged to avoid the Best Western Ventura at all costs as long as Diego is employed there.

Best hotel value in Ventura. 2 blocks to Main St where you'll find shopping and many restaurants a multiplex movie theater and the Ventura Mission. Deep sea fishing, 4 golf courses and of course the famous pier and beach with in minutes walking or driving from the hotel. If you're going to be in the area pick Best Western Plus Inn of Ventura, you won't be sorry.

The place is a little remote hotel at the middle of downtown that I would have never even thought of until my wife booked it for our wedding night. The ac is amazing! The room is clean and the bed is comfy. To top it off they serve a wide array of breakfast items that most hotels strayed from over a decade ago. I was very surprised to be able to have eggs, sausage, ceral, any bread and pastry with nice coffee and even fresh waffles! This place is great and highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay here overall. It was a bit noisy in the weekday evening as there were a number of work crews staying there. However, management did offer that should that occur again, we need only to call the front desk and they will take care of it. Rooms were clean and well cared for, staff were friendly, and the breakfast staff were incredibly on top of everything, and had great interactivity with guests. I would appreciate if management would allow a tip jar in the breakfast area because they earned it! Breakfast was good too!

Hotel is getting renovated, and they are getting an elevator. Great breakfast choices. Eggs, 2 meats, waffles, etc… Wi-Fi powerful. Microwave, refrigerator came in handy for leftovers. Good pool, lots of chairs. Walked blocks to restaurants.

I understand the hotel recently received a facelift. The rooms are very attractive. My corner room was large, but unfortunately faced the train tracks. The trains do run all night. Complimentary breakfast was ample and hot. Location is the best — walking distance to Main Street downtown, the pier and the beach.

Nice to have a no smoking and no pet hotel, plus no carpet in the room. Everything great — but the one negative was that the floor in our room needed washing. The breakfast was great — and nice to have the beans with the eggs as an alternative to sausage for vegetarian guests — and this added the California touch to the morning routine. The staff and the breakfast were terrific — and hats off to the breakfast staff who managed with all the customers. It would also be convenient to have a laundry for the guests to use — as a Best Western Plus. Overall the stay was very good.

My room directly overlooked the train track and the freeway but the double pane windows do block most of the sound. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything was clean. I loved the motion detector night light in the bathroom and also the modern temperature control unit mounted on the ceiling with the digital control box on the wall. Good value for a hotel so close to the beach and town pier.

Room was nice and clean. Good sizesize. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Easy on and off for the freeway.

Our room had the cleanest bathroom we had ever seen in a hotel. It sparkled. The motel-like building is being renovated, is almost done, and looks very nice. Had a quiet night's sleep, and a nice included breakfast before heading home. Well run — good job.

Pretty good hotel, somewhat pricey for what you get. Wifi was spotty. Walking barefoot on the fake wood which covered the room made my feet black, not sure what that was about.

Comfortable rooms, clean and convenient location. We heard the train, but it wasn't a big deal and we slept great. The free breakfast and coffee was appreciated. Definitely a good value and we would stay here again. (Gotta laugh at the people complaining to management about the train… what can they do about it?!? Just learn to do a bit more research before choosing your hotel next time, and don't get so worked up over something that can't be changed. )

This hotel was clean, all the employees seemed nice, and their breakfast was good. The only problem we had was our key was temporally not working for our room, but they fixed it immediately.

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago. The rooms were clean, reception was nice, it was a great stop on our way to San Francisco. My wife forgot her diamond earrings on the night stand and I called them a day later. The cleaning person, Juana, found them and gave them to reception. I wanted to truly thank her for finding them, and for Monique and Anthony who coordinated about sending it back to us in Canada. We really appreciate their efforts to get them back to us quickly. We had a great stay, and I would gladly recommend this place to anyone traveling to LA or SF. Thank you again, you guys are great!

Stayed at the Ventura Best Western about 10 days ago for 4 night. They had us on the second floor, asked for a 1st floor room very accommodating with the request. Also asked to change to a room with 2 beds for the last 2 nights no problem. They put us in a great room. Had a problem with the TV in the second room, they came at that moment fixed the problem. I t was clean and updated. Will stay on our return visit to Ventura!

This is the worst place I have ever been too. The manager lives on the property with his family, his name is carlos cruz, and they live right behind the front desk, he is not helpful in anyway, his son lives in different rooms around the hotel, and smokes pot in all the rooms. They buy cheap food for the morning breakfast its worse than the managers service to the customers, he is rude, he talks down to people, and is racist towards white people. He is the worst person i've ever met. He abuses the hotel, its customers, and staff. Human resources should be called on this place. I would not recommend bringing your family here, or staying here ever. Carlos Cruz the manager is hands down the worst person/manager I have ever met.

Nice rooms. Had issues with my online purchase. Wasn't showing up for some reason. Continental breakfast was pretty good though. Nice view of beach from windows.

Rooms are nice and well kept, but the walls are paper thin. I can hear the ice machine and people coming/going all night.

This is one of 2 nights we are staying here. We heard a train. But not too loud. We slept well. The service is great. There is a small place to use there laptops and free Wi-Fi in rooms. ALL is great here. There is a wonderful breakfast are with eggs sausage bagels etc. Valerie.

Unless you have to don't stay here, my pop and I worked out a deal for weekly stay for about a month at 100 a night every week the owner/manager raised it $10 and sayed if we don't like it kick rocks, the floors are so dirty they made our room stink like fish and if you walked around bare foot or with socks they turned black, the beds are not the usual the beds they are crap, or old. Just today I had misplaced my wallet I called the hotel after being gone for 1 hour at the gym to see if the maid found it when she cleaned the room, no call back for 15 minutes so I drove there. The manager was just starting the search, as I arrived noticed door was wide open so I looked no wallet. The manager accused me 5x of leaving the door open. This management is rude and does not want to be called a brother. Must be atheist!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very understanding of my husband's disability and accommodated us last minute.

The room was not bad, but the customer service there is just terrible. Several requests made to the front desk for towels and it took over an hour until the towels were received (and no longer needed). The other aspect that did not help was their receptionist by the name of A****. Unfortunately, I could not find my receipt when I arrived home, so I called to have it e-mailed to me. The first time I called, she acted very rushed and did not want to hear what I needed, finally just saying, "Call me back in 2 hours and I can get it then. " About 2 hours later, I called her back and she said, "Sorry, I'm just swamped here. Give me your number and I will call you back. " About 1.5 hours later, I called before I had to leave home and asked if I could get it. She simply stated, "Well, no sir, and I am about to leave so it will not be today that I can get it. " This is just terrible considering I called 4 hotels prior to her and they retrieved and sent me my receipt within 5 minutes of me calling and while I was still on the phone. I do not see how this is considered acceptable customer service.

Extremely disappointed in the service. Our car broke down on the way to our destination so by the time we got to the hotel we were already not in a good place. They front desk did not have our reservations. I called the online site that we used to reserve and they had to call the front desk. Apparently whom ever was there before did not input the reservation as it is sent via fax (reservation was done over 7 hours ago). We finally get to our room and the rooms have been recently remodeled and there was no door on the bathroom. The door was literally laying on the adjacent wall. We were moved to a different room. Like I said our car was not running well so we had to stay another night. My husband did the paperwork for an extended stay and they did give us the same rate that we paid for Friday. I check my bank account later and they have charge us 332 and some change. Then 262 and 162. WHAT! The total for our stay was 323.00. I went to the front desk and they had no idea what we were talking about I had to show them by bank statement on my phone. They told me we didn't charge you its only a hold. REALLY, ONLY! My 19 year old daughter lives and goes to school out there and we were looking for a hotel to regularly visit. I guess this won't be it. BTW I am also going to contact cooperate.

We stayed here for our anniversary. We liked the hotel the first day until this happened that ruined the whole thing. My kid locked the bathroom door. I called the front desk, she said she'll send the maintenance guys. Waited for 10 minutes and called again. Now she said they're on break (she should've called to notify). Waited again for an hour and called again and said this is an emergency. She suggested me come to front desk and pick another room to use its bathroom, then abruptly hung up the phone! I went to the front desk to find out that she's really upset and just put the key on the bench without a word! Not sure what this is called from a customer service perspective. I told her that when you talk to a customer you don't really hang up abruptly without appropriately ending the call. She said I'm not going to argue with a guest and the conversation on the phone was over. Well it wasn't over. My wife and I are extremely stressed out of that behavior. The bathroom is still locked out and I'm not calling that front desk again. Let's see if we can pick another hotel in the area but this place.

Very good hotel. It may make the impression from outside, but the rooms are very well *! The location is very good! You can't hear the nearby Street. However at the Amtrak. But everything right. Price OK.

Nice. The room was clean. It has a microwave and a fridge, and the aircon was good. Breakfast was pretty decent too. Wifi was so so.

Up on a spider behind the door, the room was clean. Bed and shower were in order. Unfortunately, the fridge was very noisy and the water in the hot tub was not very inviting. For 86 bucks but still OK.

There is no way that I can express my gratitude to the Management of this hotel. We were supposed to stay here on 11/02/2013. As many of you may know, there was a shooting at the Los Angeles Int. Airport. We were waiting for my cousin who was coming to visit from abroad and she was stuck in her airplane for more than six hours and another five inside the international terminal at LAX. We finally found her passed midnight on 11/02/2013. I couldn't cancel my reservation with Best Western. I called early on Saturday 11/02 to their customer service center and told them about my emergency. They told me that they could not cancel the reservation for me since I had until 6pm on 11/01/2013 to do it but she called the hotel and talked to Cindy at the front desk. Cindy told her that she was going to contact the manager and she was going to call me in 15 minutes. She did that and told me that she had approval to cancel my reservations. She saved me $238.00. I really want to thank Cindy and the rest of the personnel of this hotel for being so helpful and understanding. I'm really looking forward to staying at the Best Western Plus in Ventura, Ca. In the near future.

Well. Since I couldn't stay here when my reservation got screwed up. It is difficult to say much about the hotel. I called DIRECTLY to the individual hotel, since we wanted to stay the same night. I was given a confirmation number and when we arrived, found the reservation had been made for TWO WEEKS later! No help from customer service, and we had to drive 3 more hours to find accomodations (it was a busy weekend). Not lots of fun with grandchildren in the car wanting to go swimming. I'd like to give a — 0 — star review.

I'm traveling around and was two nights (MO TU) in this Hotel. First I thought that it could be dangerous to let my stuff in the Car or in the Hotel room, and I really expected the worst. I mean it's a 2* Hotel in the middle of nowhere. BUT; now after two night's I can tell you; It is awesome! The Breakfast include is exactly what you need for your day, they offer free internet in EVERY room and you can print in the Lobby. You also can do your Laundry for 2$ (coins) and the STAFF here is very friendly. They printed my tickets for the parks around, because their printer was out of Inkjet. The rooms are clean and big enough for all what you need. > it is also very close to the mainstreet, where every night (I was here MON and TUE) the Bars have different programms. There are a lot of Bars and People every night! Was pretty nice here :-).

Allright place to stay. I had no problems at all. Staff was friendly. Breakfast good. If you can live with the trains, I recommend it. I could. I got some discount though.
