Simply grotesque! I am appalled Marriott wpuld possibly ever think this is ok? This is beyond me & the rudest cold & dismissive e-mail concerning this to your patron is just about as bad as your lack of care to your Hotel & the guests health & safety! Shame on you!

Really nice and clean hotel.

Great location, excellent staff, wonderful accommodations. We were able to walk to dinner and there is a walking park across the street for those who like to talk a stroll with your 4 legged travel companions.

Front desk staff was very pleasant. Chris the front desk manager provided great customer service!

Visit was excellent the swimming pool was beautiful please tell management thank you to the pool guy he is doing a good job better than good better than great I can't find the word I'm looking for in the dictionary to describe my feeling on the pool that I swimmed in.

Service was great. Suite was clean and we'll stocked, always appreciate what Marriott has in their rental units. Bed was comfortable. I used the workout facility and it was clean but a little small to do anything more than the machines or weight bench. One negative was the coffee, it just was not up to par.

Location is meh. Nothing to look out at in your room. The rooms are amazing and good for their price. The beds are comfortable and for once, the rooms of a hotel don't smell like tobacco (in my recent experiences I have stayed at 3 or 4 who I shall not name that have had rooms smelling like tobacco/marijuana). There is even a $250 fine for smoking in your room. The service here is amazing as well. Free Coffee and Chocolate milk (the water and powder mix unfortunately but it's close enough). They have an awesome breakfast program. The staff is super friendly.

I loved it, Extended stay with a kitchen and all of its needs were included. Feels like a comfortable home and trust me, I did not want to leave. I would actually would not mind living in it, my mind was at ease and relaxed Very nice Very clean.

Staff is welcoming, proactive, accomodating. Rooms are exemplary value! Management 'thought of every traveler's needs' is reflected in every aspect of this property.

This hotel looks modern and is very clean and well kept-up. Staff is friendly and helpful as well. Hotel has good amenities — free hot breakfast, convenience store, laundromat and gym (although I did not use the laundromat or gym). The rooms are also very nice, they are good-sized and have a full kitchen with stove, fridge, and dishwasher. This hotel is also in a good location, within walking distance of shopping and food (there is a large shopping center right across the street). The only issues I had was that the walls seem like they are paper-thin and have no insulation, I am able to easily hear the TV in the next room as well everyone walking in the hallway. It also seemed like there was a lot of noise and air from outside leaking in through the window even though it was closed. The bed also seemed a little too firm.

We travel for work and have stayed at many hotels but I have to say this is the first time we’ve ever gotten a rude phone call from a semi hostile employee accusing us of smoking in the room because there was a smell in the HALLway!? What really? It was not coming from our room and I told her so, she continued to threaten me over the phone with a $500.00 fine. On what grounds?! Because a cleaning person smelled faint cigarette OR something in the hall?! I’ve never been so insulted! (No I don’t smoke) On another note, it costs an arm and leg to wash and dry your laundry at $3.00 each. And to add to our experience we had a small package mailed to us for work, came through regular mail, we got it two days after it was said to have arrived on our tracking, Because they don’t check the reg. Mail daily or so I was informed after we had alerted them we were expecting a work related package!
If u need a great hotel that is pet friendly try Candlewood Suits if you can, friendly staff, doggie treats available at the door, great pantry and FREE laundry-wash and dry!
Zero desire to stay in another Town Place suites! Over all experience, unsatisfactory to say the least! And we do travel a lot!

Not too happy. Asked & waited 4+ hrs for a handicapped accessible room. Told at the desk room was ready but after walking all the way across the hotel with 90 yr old found the room was not as promised.

Well did not have my room when I arrived and apparently in California a restaurant can buy a license to disturb the peace for guest at this hotel, do not recommend this hotel for staying, HELL for that matter I don't recommend coming to California, this state SUCKS!

Stayed 2 nights, rooms are small. Kitchens are like ship galleys and if you go outside before 6am, good luck getting back in. Rang doorbell to get back in and no one answered the door, waited 10min, before someone answered. I was going to stay here for awhile, but decided on the residence inn. Bigger rooms and the same rate.

Stayed in room 406 at this newish hotel. Lobby was swanky, room decor modern and on point. Kitchen was shockingly nice (and complete! ). My only minor complaint was that the beds didn't have a dedicated room. Despite that, this was an exceptional room for the price, new, and clean. My new go to place when I'm in Bakersfield!

Room was kinda small very weird layout the closet was nice you can arrange it the way you want. Kitchen has everything u need. Clean. I expected larger room for what I paid but location is great.

Every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond. Friendly and personable is definitely a requirement from whoever hires here. The room was so clean and had more than we needed in amenities. We will be staying again!

Room smelled like a dirty mop soon as I walked in the room. Especially from the window A/C unit when is left on, smell was unavoidable unless A/C is off and A/C doesn't have auto on/off feature, so fan was always on and noisy, SO IF YOU PLAN TO STAY HERE BE PREPARED FOR A STRONG DIRTY MOP ODOR AND NOISE FOR THE ENTIRE STAY. The next morning before we left the room, I called the front desk requesting maid service so we can have a clean room when we come back. The front desk said "Okay", but when I came back around 7pm, the room wasn't cleaned, so I called front desk again and told them the room is not cleaned. The hotel staff response was "Aha", Aha? In a condescending "so what? " tone. If a customer reports a problem, they should never ever respond with "Aha" if they strive for customer service. That is terrible customer service. That "Aha" explained everything about this place and that's the main reason for writing this review and still makes me sick. If you stay multiple nights here, there will be no maid service and customer service. I also got the couple of bug bites and body itches everywhere after the stay, it's a pet friendly hotel so guests can bring there pet's in the room and stay. Pet friendly hotels require better treatments for ticks, fleas, and bed bugs, but this hotel can't even provide basic as maid service for guests, what else can you expect? Sanitize the room? I don't think so. When you stay here there's good chance you'll get a bug bite.

My husband and I both enjoyed out stay. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and felt welcome. Will definitely be back.

Made reservation via phone last night but was told upon arrival (at 11:30pm with 7 year-old in car) that new reservationist had made an error and hotel was actual sold out. Was told there was room at sister hotel across town. 1. No callback the moment you realized your errror?! I drove PAST the other hotel on the way in. 2. No offer of discount for the inconvenience caused by the mistake they admitted to. 3. No attempt to get me a room at the Marriott hotels *much* closer to their location. Night staff here is weak. Take actions to mitigate your errors. A dopey shoulder shrug isn't enough.

We had a fantastic experience. This place has been designed for ease and comfort. I was amazed at how convenient it was.

Nice, newer, upscale facility. Very clean, wonderful bed. I never like the hotel pillows, yet these were fabulous. I slept great! I'm even thinking of ordering a pillow from the Marriott website. Staff very friendly and pleasant. The breakfast lady (I believe her name is Linda) was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good, but not outstanding. Rate was very reasonable in comparison to area. Parking lot was full at night, looks like a lot of people stay here. I would book here again.

Great stay for a very reasonable rate. The rooms were clean and felt a touch above your average hotel. Later than average check out which was also a plus. The staff were very helpful and accommodating as well! Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

We had a wonderful experience. The rooms were great, large and clean. The people were all very nice and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel. Linda the breakfast lady was super friendly, she visited with all the patrons and seem to make everyone feel like they family. We will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Had a pleasant stay here. Was here only for a night. Clean room. Kitchenette was stocked with necessary things like plates etc. Check-in was quick. Breakfast was good. The breakfast area can get crowded though.

People here were so friendly and helpful. They were very helpful to me while I stayed there. The room was so cute and so comfortable that I felt safe and relaxed even though I was alone.

Room is great. Nice to have a separated oomph for us while our son can sleep in the living room area. Also impressed with the full sized fridge.

The hotel was lovely and the customer service was wonderful. I really admire the front desk and security. They dealt with a very difficult situation with tact and care, yet firm. I appreciate when an establishment takes care to secure the facilities, allowing guests stay in a environment, t where we feel secure and comfortable. Thank you Celeste, at the front desk.

We stayed here the last weekend of Oct 2016. Our room still smelled of fresh paint, however there are areas of the room where the workmanship was shoddy at best. The bed had to be among one of the hardest, most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. Especially for such a new hotel. The breakfast provided is not much, a simple continental. The hotel was convenient to Kern Co. Raceway however, I am not sure I would stay here again. You can get rooms just as nice for less in the area.
