This is a great hotel for a big family. The bedrooms have doors and the master is extremely spacious. No issues with cleanliness whatsoever. Housekeeping was very friendly and helpful. The beds are cozy and a TV in each room to suit everyone's choices. Hot breakfast is served daily. No waffle maker here (I don't think), but the sausage and hash browns were pretty tasty! The pool was clean, slightly burned my eyes, but at least it was somewhat warm — maybe because it was SO SO hot in Bakersfield. The pool is open until 1Opm daily. Swimming under the stars was quite relaxing. Downside: no hot tub for the aching muscles. You can grab groceries at Von's down the street (it's like a Safeway) and cook on the small stove or take advantage of the microwave. The full-sized refrigerator/freezer came in handy. If we ever come through this way, we'll be sure to stop by again!

The Homewood Suites is a very nice hotel with a pool, basketball court, large sitting area with TV and a nice breakfast. The hotel was not crowded when I started here. In the room that I stayed in I had a full size fridge, microwave, stove top, coffee machine, and sink, however no oven. The room is also on the older side, however I was still quite impressed with the overall experience. If I was stopping through Bakersfield again, this is probably where I would stay.

Top floor room was clean, with a decent view. Water pressure was good, breakfast was the standard faire. Stayed here during the Chartec Academy, across the street, which is wildly convenient.

Generally a good stay. Evening social and rooms were quality. Internet connection was very subpar, however.

Nice clean hotel with updated rooms. The bathroom is small, but clean and up to date. Beds and pillows are comfortable and two extra blankets were in the room without my having to ask for them. The small fridge, microwave and two burner range are convenient for longer stays. The walls were well insulated and I didn't hear any other guests during my stay.

Friendly staff, clean and quite surrounding. Decent breakfast, like the kitchen next to supermarket for basic shopping and best part its walking distance form client office :)

This is where we stay every trip to Auto Club Famoso for the races. Great breakfast to start the day, always fresh. Beds are comfy.

One night stay on the way back from LA. Roomy suite, great food. Also has basketball court for kids to play. Could be better if the pool is heated.

We booked our room *4* months early, explicitly requiring 2 cribs (which were repeatedly confirmed by the hotel staff), only to find out the night we checked in that they'd only be able to provide one. If we knew that we could only get one crib, we would have brought our own or booked a room at a hotel with an adequate supply of cribs.

Great room size. Full kitchen. Mattress was spring, but I'm okay with that. Great price, 120 a night range at Christmas. Ample parking. Easy access to and from fwy. No road noise.

Very friendly and professional staff. The rooms are clean and well kept. The front desk will take food orders and store as needed until you are able to pickup. Very nice establishment.

Exceeded our expectations! One bedroom suite is perfect for a small family. Free breakfast, free coffee all day, free beer, wine & dinner on weeknights, and free movies on the weekend make it the perfect getaway. Great location right next to restaurants, shopping, and movie theater. 5 minute walk to everything you could need. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend!

It is a hotel with high standard in the service to the guest.

Great here, the GM is lovely and so stylish. She really takes care of us. Some of the cleaning staff are sweet as well. We have a long time and this is our temp home for now and we are adjusting. Wish the TV'S were bigger and better.

Really nice place to stay. We have stayed in their Sacramento place last year. Bakersfield is almost exactly the same floor plan. We knew where everything was! Great breakfast. Free.

Newly remodeled lobby, rooms small but clean. Overall good for the value. Nice location.

The staff was fabulous! Rooms were more than we expected when we walked in, we were like WOW! Prices were fair.

Center of town. Updated rooms, pool, basketball court, serve lite dinner with/beer and wine, and Continental bfast. USB charging ports on rooms. Overall they get it right for the business and casual guest.

Stayed here for a few days on a business trip. Suites are spacious and include small kitchen, couch, and desk for work if necessary. Free breakfast Mon-thurs, but food was okay. Standard scrambled eggs, pre-med mini omelettes, frozen hash browns, sausage, and bagels/bread/cereal options. Decent stay, no frills, but comfortable.

Staff very professional, courteous. Room is clean and has everything we needed. Amenities are great — free breakfast AND dinner! Food is good and the price and location work for us as well.

The front desk staff was the worst ever! We stayed for more than 3 weeks and needed to have our room redone about 3-4 times a DAY-no kidding. Housekeeping was the only good part of the entire stay! We booked a room, and went back a week later to book one for friends of ours who stayed for two days and asked about the discount, which they assured us that we had gotten for our room and our guests, come to find out a week later we had not gotten the discounted rate for our room or the guest room. The pool was not ready during the 1st week of our stay and took a whole day to fill up so that our guests could enjoy it.

Homewood Suites is delightful! Our check-in was funny as there was a cat in the lobby which the staff were trying to bring out. We like cats though so it didn't bother us. The check-in process was smooth. We arrived after over 4 hours of driving so that was much appreciated. Our room was great! We were skeptical at first as it seemed from the smell in the corridor that it's a smoking room. When we got in, there was no bad smells. The room is sizable. Comes with a full-sized refrigerator, kitchen cooktop, microwave oven, cutlery — lots! It's a shame we didn't get to stay longer and use those facilities. The breakfast is good. Wide range of the usual continental selections plus hot food too. If we are ever in Bakersfield again, I'd choose to stay here.

Homewood suites was fine. Rooms were decent. Seems like a place for long term stays. Mini kitchen with mini stove, sink, and fridge, and cupboards were all stocked with plates, cups, and cooking utensils/pots/pans. There were a lot of people and kids in the pool all day and the exercise room was very narrow.

Great large room, staff is very friendly, breakfast daily and dinner on week nights, very safe area near grocery if needed. What more could we ask for? We'll definitely stay here again!

Spent over a month at the Homewood suites when my job brought me to Bakersfield. Breakfast is served fresh everyday and dinner Monday to Thursday. The food wasn't anything special but it's hard to complain about free. Also free beer and wine during dinner!

We were there a week and the rooms were maintained nice beds with good soap and shampoo:). The wonderful addition to booking here is that they serve 2 meals FREE when you stay during the week Breakfast and Supper. Just breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. This helped us so much with our work because we did not need to leave the hotel to find dinner or breakfast. I just booked another week because of the hassle free stay.

I stayed here for over 2 months for work and it was like my second home. The staff are so nice and awesome. They make sure that you have everything you need and that you are happy with the stay. I miss staying here, I would recommend staying here if you are ever going to be in Bakersfield. Love the service! They even have a basketball court outside and a good fitness room.

They booked me in a smoking room and told me that my profile was for smoking. I spend 100 nights a year in Hampton Inns, never in a smoking room. I checked out without staying and they said they would put my points back into my account (I was going to use points for the stay). It has been 9 days and still no points.

Check-in was easy, the room is nice (I had the studio king). Free Wi-Fi is a bonus, and it was actually a decent free breakfast as well. Parking is fine, the staff has been pleasant. The location is nice; CSUB is right down the street, and Frugatti's is less than five minutes away. The not perfect things: On the tables in the room, my laptop feels like it is on an air hockey table. Seriously, one tap and it slides around. I think it would fall off in an earthquake. Also, the water pressure isn't that great, but it's okay. I had a hard time keeping the water at the "right" temperature, either slightly too hot or slightly too cold, but that could have just been the nozzle in my room. Overall, a good experience, but not luxury Las Vegas style hospitality. I mean, it's Bakersfield what should I expect? :-).
