This place is a shithole. I started to gag the moment I walked into the room. It reeked of mold and mildew. Stains on the curtains, three inch roaches, mildew and rust in refrigerator. I’m contacting the health department! They won’t issue me a refund because I booked thru third party and the third party won’t issue a refund either! I’m also contacting the BBB and reporting them both.

Awesome retro hotel! love everything. Great amenities. Valerie is an excellent concierge.

Ghetto rooms that are over priced! Plus they overcharged me. I tried handling with management and it took over 5 days to get a hold of somebody. Nobody ever retired my messages. Do not stay here… dirty, ghetto, over priced and then they will over charge you!

From health code to liquor license violations to false advertising to 75% abandoned rooms to dead grass to dishonest employees… We have given the place far too many chances… from a one week stay earlier this year to a two day stay reduced to a one night stay after the house-keeping manager violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and terrorized us and was setting a frightening bad example for employees to a front desk employee trained to feign apologies and stating (falsely) that no manager was on duty but she offered an email address (all videotaped) … I will be reporting to the Department of Justice; the Liquor License authority; the Health Department… and other governing entities about the shameful way this hotel is run. The linens were soiled; the refrigerator was broken; standing water in the bath; parking lot and grounds neglected. We posted a review on another site; and something is not right about this place. The $45 bone-in Rib-eye steak was a piece of frozen meat from Schwans or similar distributor that was heated up. The chef admitted it was false advertising and offered to make something else; but the bartender/server was rude and hostile, preferring the company of a group of obnoxious, over-served locals who were getting free drinks and/or paying cash that never made it to the cash register. The pool is rarely open; and this has been the repeated experience after literally years of giving them a chance to get it together.

We are locals. I was a guest of a paying customer. This used to be a nice fun place to go. What happened? New management? The place is horrible now. The grass is brown, the trees are dying, the landscaping is neglected. They watch you like a hawk for even entering the pool area without a wristband, even if you not swimming. Give me a break, we were the only ones at the pool because we were just about the only ones at the entire hotel. The BBQ grills are gone, the patio tables were broke, the pool lounge chairs are crappy. We were having a birthday party which we have done here for several years, and have always had a good time. This year the management made our guest feel uncomfortable telling us we could not sit outside at the tables in the grass area because we were having a party. Whatever, we were sitting outside talking quietly at 8pm behaving adult like. We are a family of 20's 40's, 50's, 60s, and 70's. We were not loud or obnoxious. They said we were partying because we had a cake. The non remodeled rooms are in horrible shape. Too much to mention room wise, just bad! The place was a ghost town on a Saturday evening. I now know why. Its a dump with bad management, that does not make you feel comfortable. On top of all that, the rooms are expensive for what you get. Sorry to say, but I will no longer be back for our annual get together. Hotel Tucson, you have lost my business.

Looks great in the photos, but don’t be deceived—plenty of other nice places for the same price. Was hoping to enjoy the pool after a day’s worth of activities but by 9:45pm it was locked and closed to guests; the bar was closed as well… on a Saturday night?!?! It’s too hot in the summer to be outside so you’d think evening would be prime time. Greatly appreciated the running through the halls and the knocking on my door at 3am as well. Mentioned all this to the manager and all she could do was respond with banal questions about my origins and whether I was in town on business or not. Try elsewhere.

Utterly awful! Nearly ruined our wedding rehearsal dinner. Do not be fooled by the fancy lobby. It's all for show. Busted up rooms for be most part, bugs dead and alive, plants growing from upstairs sinks, toilets that don't flush, lights that don't work. We had our guests spending much of their time moving from room to room to room. Many of our guests just canceled reservation and found another hotel. You should too! One thing we did not want to worry about on our wedding weekend. I also had to get into an argument with the bar/server staff. We waited over an hour for a couple of the entrees for our actual rehearsal dinner. Yet they wanted/demanded payment while we were still eating the late food. I made them wait of course. Let our experience serve as your warning. Find some other venue for your event. Again, don't be fooled by the lobby. It's a ruse!

Hotel is ok, the rooms were nice but as a taller guy their shower heads are very short which quite inconvenient. The TV didn't work and the in room irons are not very good. I would say this hotel is fine if you are looking for a cheap option but other than that I'm sure you can find better.

Everything was fine until housekeeping would not stay out of my room. The first time, they flipped my sign and came in to clean. The second time they just came in because they didn't think I was there. The sign clearly says do not disturb, what is so hard about not coming into my room?

This place is old and decrepid and has been for years. Nothing works from the door key card, AC, TV, holes in walls, backed up plumbing not even one chair in a suite. Have booked several conventions 6or7 only because it was inexpensive. Room prices are doubeling as soon as remodeling is complete which I am looking forward to. Have booked again for next year.

Great location to downtown. The rooms were clean and comfotable. The hotel is in renovation currently (may 2018) and it needs it. Pool was nice but the exercise room was closed.

Our room was newly renovated, comfortable, and quiet. We loved the $5 breakfast and our host/waitress, Toni was great. I had a drink at the bar that evening and the bartender was also friendly and efficient. The lady at the front desk offered us complementary drink tickets. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. We will be staying with them again!

This place is a hot mess. A cheap hot mess though. The conference facilities were really good and if you are having a convention of any questionable, fringe or non mainstream nature this is the place for you. The rooms are quite dated the beds will kill your back if you need to stay there longer than a weekend. The furniture and fixtures seem like they came from the habistore or other recycled setting. Unless you are staying for a convention I would not recommend it. Also I found the staff to be Passive Aggressive and a fair bit antagonistic tending to do what they want to do rather than what you asked or what was smart. This is the sign in the bathroom regarding their low quality towels.

We were here for a small conference. We found a remarkably inconsistent hotel. Great bartenders. No weekend staff to clean the lobby bathrooms. Great shower heads, tub won’t drain. Jacuzzi suites, but none of the tubs work. Mold causing the ceiling to fall down above really nice towels and monogrammed sheets. Overall, I’d stay anywhere else.

It used to be pretty nice here. Not now. If you dare stay I suggest asking what conventions are at the hotel or you may have a dog show to deal with. Not to mention the beds are a health hazard. The mattress had bodily fluid all over them, bedskirts had white smears, hide a bed was full of mouse poop. Crumbs on the floor, just filthy in general. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, we waited for 3 hours to get a roll a way after seeing the mattress, but it was no better. Just awful.

We needed a hotel and this was the first place we stopped that had vacancies. No wonder. We had called before going inside to make a reservation. When we got there, the girl at the front desk was on the phone. She did not make eye contact with us or say she would be right with us. When she put the phone down, we went up to the desk and started talking to her and she said she needed a minute and would be right with us. After about 5 MINUTES she asked for the name on our reservation. A moment later, another call came in and she picked it up WHILE STILL HELPING US. I still can't believe someone in the hospitality Business would be so rude. When we got to the room it smelled gross, can't even describe the smell but we had to leave the door open to air it out. The sheets had a small stain on them, the shower had someone else's hair in it like it hasn't even been cleaned since the last person left, and some of the towels had stains on them. This hotel is right near the rail road and the walls are paper thin so be ready for that. Pillows are lumpy, but it's a roof over your head and is better than sleeping in the car.

I had stayed there before in a suite with a king size bed and 2 patios. Very decent it was $175. This time I paid $210 for a queen and was absolutely awful half of the light fixtures didn't work. Blood was on the walls in a few places. My girlfriend and I had kick and hit the door with our shoulders after the door unlocked to open it. The worst was the mold. It was all over the ceiling in the bathroom and out side the bathroom door. I'll never stay there again. I had to go somewhere a family member who was staying had committed suicide and the smell plus the shock of what happened. I wasn't in the mood to fight over the room just glad to be away from where it had happened.

Absolutely disgusting. Stayed here as a last choice the night of a college visit. TV doesn’t work, room isn’t cleaned, shower is disgusting. I don’t know if the bed is sanitary. Stains everywhere. The only reason I stayed was because I was so incredibly exhausted. Definitely not worth the money we paid for it.

We hold our monthly breakfast meetings here and the staff is always friendly and the food is good. I love the new lobby and the grounds continue to improve. Would love to see the parking lot improve, but compared to all the other older downtown hotels, this is the only that appears to be keeping up with the downtown expansion/revival.

It's one of the best Gem shows in Tucson.

This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We went with a large volleyball group. They put us in a run down room clear on the other side away from our girls and coaches. Our room was dirty, looked like it was not even cleaned except for the beds. There was a list of things wrong with room. Everyone in our group had problems with their rooms. Multiple people changed rooms, some because of roaches, some because doors wouldn't lock or open with key, or other reasons. We had to go and get whatever we needed cause there was no staff to bring us anything. We did not see one maid the whole 4 days we were there. Our toilet clogged and only one front desk person was there and could not even get us a plunger until 4 hours later at 11:30 at night when a maintenance guy finally showed up. We had to use another room just for the bathroom. We would have left in a heart beat if our whole team and girls were not staying there. I would never recommended this hotel to ANYONE! I honestly don't even know how it is open and running. The room we saw on the website was not even close to what we stayed in. Pretty deceiving. Our room was pretty rundown and felt very dirty! I never write review's but I would not want anyone to go through what we did. The one positive thing I will say is the lobby is very nice. The manager did take care of one of our nights, but it was not enough with the list of things we had wrong with our room. Had to give 1 star just so I could write this review.

I'll give it a higher rating when they finish remodeling. The staff is great, the lobby is gorgeous, and the new owners (who bought the place back in 2015/2016? ) have been updating the hotel to bring it back to its full potential. I have worked with Shawn Basco, the Events Coordinator, and I found her very easy to work with, and the owners live on site and are very friendly. Ask for a renovated room when you go, as I've heard they are beautiful.

My Husband and I have attended an event at this hotel every year for the past 10 years. The location couldn't be better for access to nearly everything in the area including freeway. The hotel is older than some, but continues to update. The lobby area, dinning rooms are beautiful. The rooms and suites are slowly being remodeled. I have always had a clean and serviceable room. This past visit we did have an issue with our TV and within just minutes, Sabrina was at our room taking care of the problem with friendliness and grace. After the problem was resolved we had a very pleasant and engaging conversation. Sabrina returned a little while later to ensure that everything was still in order. I thought that was very kind and thoughtful to followup like that. The following day we crossed paths again and Sabrina remembered me and inquired about the following evening and once again wanted to ensure that everything was still in working order and if there was anything else she could do to make our stay pleasant. We will continue to visit this hotel as long as our event is held here. To those owners of the hotel, I commend you on your choice of employee in Sabrina, She is lovely, friendly and an asset to your staff.

Room was over $100 but there wasn't a comforter on the bed, there was tons of noticeable damage to the room, the curtains didn't close without clothespinning them for any type of privacy, the room cleaning staff woke us up at 8:00AM while we were sleeping to try to clean our room, the shower didn't really get hot at all and the water pressure was terrible, there were cracked tiles in the room, and the mattress was quite uncomfortable. I dunno. Not the best hotel, not worth the money. If you're gonna spend $100 get a room somewhere nicer. If you're looking for a spot near this hotel just get a room somewhere cheaper, it'll be just as nice as this place. Not a good hotel in my book.

We used this hotel for Tour de Tucson as it's 1 mile from the start\finish line. It appears to have once been a very nice resort hotel, but the rooms have fallen into disrepair with cosmetic fixes. Seems there's always some sort of convention going on. $5.00 for a breakfast "ticket" is appalling in a day where even small hotels furnish it with your stay. The restaurant has a very limited menu, but everything we've had there was very good. Lisa and Xena are great in the bar/restaurant and work worth The chef to meet your dietary and special taste. Be sure to tip them accordingly. All of the staff is great, but the owners need to invest the money they're making back into the rooms.

Completely horrible! I would not stay there again at all rooms are out of date and rude housekeeping! I got charged a 250 dollar smoking fee when I didn’t even smoke in the room! And didn’t get charged for it until after I left.

I attended a business luncheon in a conference room. The hotel was very nice and the food was great. The service was also very good.

Amazing bar and restaurant area. Gorgus pool. They have done a lot of work renovating this old hotel. It looks great. The staff is friendly and helpful too. Love this place.

I'm not a hotel critic, but when I find blood stains on my towel and need flip flops to take a shower, I've got to spare the next guy. Don't bother wasting your money. If I knew I was going to be donating money to these projects, I would've slept in the truck!

The party room is very deteriorated.

We went there for a Quinceanera, if you have a large party group I wouldn't recommend this place. It was small and once the music was going and people started dancing it got extremely hot. To the point where management had to put fans near the dance floor and open the doors. Overall if it's a small gathering under 100 guests, this will work great. Anything larger look else where.

Under new ownership. Live music Saturday nights by the pool. Great hidden spot for the family with kids. Parking lot needs work though.

If it wasn't for the awesome bartenders I would of gave this place 0 stars. It's a total dump. I wouldn't even know where to start. Don't waste your time and money. Spend the extra cash for a better hotel or use Airbnb. Was staying here only because of the large wedding group. Would have felt bad being the only one leaving the group except for one group leaving due to mice in the room. Trust me that's only the beginning.

Saturday night's live music with the House of Funk provided a wonderful evening of dancing and dining with amazing atmosphere. A fantastic opportunity for the locals to unwind and relax. I hear they will be bringing family friendly comedy shows for Friday frolic and fun. Who doesn't like to laugh? I can't wait to go back!

I left on the desk my: Flat iron Comb Hair clips In the bathroom I left on the sink: Toothbrush Toothpaste Razor Body spray Deodorant The person at front desk, JACOBO was very ugly to me when I asked what they were going to do. He was very rude. The owner would not come out of his office to speak to me. I thought every hotel had a rule to turn things in to the front desk if you truly thought someone forgot their belongings. With the stained and torn carpets, holes in the curtains and worn down furniture. I do not recommend. The only good thing they have is the sweet lady in the kitchen that helps with the buffet. She was very courteous and helpful. i give "0" stars.

Recommend. Not bad for the price. Room was old and outdated. Location is good. Within walking distance to Congress Street.

I want to share the horrible experience we had there yesterday. The manager, Stanley, was extremely rude to my party. We were at the pool for no more than five minutes and for some reason we were singled out by this manager who came over and told us about the wristband policy for the pool. It was not what he said, it was how he said it. He proceeded to treat us as if we were idiots saying things such as "it's common sense" that we should know we can't go to a pool without paying and that "ALL hotels do this. " We let him know that we left a previous hotel because their pool was out of order and they did not have that policy so obviously not all hotels do this. We had stayed at this hotel twice before and never had this happen. He kept using horrible analogies and arguing with our party instead about how "we should have the common sense and he's trying to run a business" pointing out that everyone at the pool had wristbands, which NO ONE DID and he recognized that once we pointed that out and had nothing to say. If he was a business man as he pointed out, he would understand that you don't treat people like they are stupid and also that more people equals more business, more drinks, more food from your restaurant, etc. The front office manager was very apologetic, she acted professional and knew how to work in a customer service position. Do not go to this hotel. Ruined the night for us. Will never be returning.

A "3 star hotel"? No… More like a 3 thumbs down hotel. Some of the more interesting amenities offered include dead cockroaches in the air conditioner vents, broken air conditioners, food items left on floor, stained/damaged curtains and shades, exposed electrical wires, crappy tv's, and a dirty pool. Their airport pickup van has no a/C for the passengers. Will never stay here again.

When we got to our room it was disgusting. There were stains all over the floor with what appeared to be bleach, the bed sheets were stained, there were marks on the wall, what looked like to be blood on the door and marks all over the wall, even a ant roaming around. It looked like a murder scene. Everything is so dated, an electrical outlet was broken that could easily be a fire hazard. We went to management to complain & got rolling of the eyes and attitude from the employees. They switched the room to another one which was a bit better but the fire alarm had fallen off and they just left it on the counter and the ac was broken so only the one on the wall was left. & they "gave us a discount" because the room they switched us to was originally more expensive. It was a piece of crap. Never again will I or my family stay here and never will we recommend this place. Save your $100 and you can find much better hotels here.

What a s*it whole ordered food and drinks $140 bucks waiter didn't even ask us what we want to drink had to go inside every time for drinks brought us steaks they were terrible with some nasty sauce on it that he didn't even say would come with it we asked for new steaks they said no had to go inside to get my own ketchup and mayo VERY VERY BAD TERRIBLE SERVICE I WOULD NEVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN owner sat here watched us go in numerous of times from the outside patio to get our ketchup mayo and silverware and didn't say a word I travel for work stay in a lot of hotels all over America THIS IS BY FAR ONE OD THE WORST HOTELS I EVER STAYED IN nasty smelly rooms dirty pool and terrible terrible service I recommend NO ONE EVER STAYS HERE NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS Ur better off at the motel 6 THE WAITER IS THE BIGGEST IDIOT I EVER MET IN MY LIFE DIDNT SMILE ONCE OR ASK IF EVEYTHING WAS OK STILL GAVE HIM 20 dollar tip but he was a POS.

Will never stay here again. Ghetto rooms. Bathtub took 2 hours to drain. Toilets don't flush correctly. Plugs fall out of sockets. Halls ghetto. Room ghetto. Again will not stay here again.

VERY MUCH in need of renovation. Air conditioning in lobby was broken when we checked in. Our room smelled awful & the air conditioner was broken so we got a new room. It wasn't much better but at least the air worked. On a good note, the hot breakfast was good.

I understand the hotel was undergoing a remodel however our suite was not renovated. The 4th floor (700s rooms) was so hot walking up and our room was even hotter. The air conditoner made a horrible noise and the room didn't rwally cool down. The power outlets didn't work and the phone chargers slipped right out. The fridge was ice cold however hummed and was from the 80s. The bed was super soft and you can tell has been slepted on everything sank to the middle. The shower tile was old and very dingy but the water was hot. The breakfast buffet was scrambled eggs and biscuits and cereal. It was free so we ate there.

I have to share with you all the horrific and disappointing experience I had, at the Hotel Tucson City Center this past Saturday. I urge anyone to avoid this place at all cost. I checked into my room around 2:00pm on Saturday 4/30/16 and the room was a handicap room as one of us had limited mobility (with a disabled placard to prove it). This hotel was rancid. The plugs were all loose, the maintenance had to be called twice for electrical issues the second we walked in. I was shocked by one of the outlets! Not to mention we lost the use of two lights in order for the TV to be plugged in. The toilet wouldn't flush, the shower wouldn't drain and I had to use a towel to wipe about an 1" thick layer of what I can only hope was grease, from the iron before using it for our clothes. The coffee maker was caked with dust throughout. My kids were looking forward to swimming with family while we got ready and prepared for the wedding however the pool was closed for a private pool party and the hotel didn't disclose this until we asked the pool hours. We were in a rush to get ready and get to the wedding on Saturday. So I didn't have the time to ask to be moved to another room. At most, I was just grateful to have a place to keep my things and sleep for the night. I spent, at most, a total of 6 hours in this room. When I checked out I made it a point to mention each and every issue, as I wanted the hotel to know that this room uninhabitable, for any amount of stay (short or long).

Easy walk into downtown Tucson. The lobby is being renovated and looks like it will be very nice once complete. The rooms are old and shabby and are in desperate need of renovation. The staff was friendly.

I suppose if you just need a place to sleep and that it this place would be OK. The water in the sink and bathtub is yellow so good luck brushing your teeth and showering. Dead roaches right outside the door. Electrical hazard. There was a rats nest of things plugged in. The smell when you first enter the room was awful. Smelt very musky. Overall I will never book here again and we only had a one night reservation.

We stayed at the Hotel Tucson City Center for the first and last time recently for an artists' exhibition. First, they tried to charge us $35 more than the agreed-upon rate. The rooms were dark, even after they replaced burned out lightbulbs (bad for an artist wanting to work). The TV wasn't hooked up to cable, couldn't connect to Wi-Fi in our room, towels were never replaced, housekeepers were lounging in our room one night at 6:00 when we came back (their electronics plugged in — still no towels). Rooms were old and not well maintained, although they were renovating the lobby. Restaurant was fairly good.

We come here all the time and this stay we'll be our last because new management sucks and for the price we are paying it's not worth 150$ we could've went somewhere else and not to mention as my mother in law was pulling out the sofa bed she found a cap to a needle. I do not recommend this hotel anymore it is disgusting and smelly. They put us in another room because the roof was leaking from the Jacuzzi being on upstairs. From now on our stays will be at Viscount. I will be reporting you to. BBB And I'm definitely calling cooperate.

This last stay will really be our last time going here, new owner new management, the manager basically accused me of lying we're going to try to switch rooms because it was so getto, and dirty (we found a bag of cocaine I'm our room) Restaurant has totally changed, food was awful, we saw a girl squatting and pis sing in the pool.

Currently being renovated. The washer and dryer didn't work. Elevator was sketchy, we took the stairs. Bathroom didn't have a fan. Bed were comfy.

We booked this hotel for a wedding close by. The website made it seem like it would be a lot nicer than it is. The grounds are pretty nice. The pool and hot tub are great. The room was disappointing. When we got here we had to flush the faucets to remove the rust. In the morning it took at least 10 minutes to get any hot water. The rooms want for cleanliness. The bed was comfortable. I wouldn't come back here. It seems like they are trying to remodel the hotel so maybe it will be better someday!

Dirty. Dirty sheets. Had to go to WalMart to buy my own, nobody around from housekeeping TV not working Wifi not working. Water dribbles from shower. The grounds have dead lawns, and weeds in the planters. Big pot holes in the asphalt. They list our reservation, abd blamed us for that. Even though I had a return email confirming the reservation. I am sure that the positive reviews posted here are fakes, by the owners. This could be a five star resort with new maintenance team and new management.

Stayed in the tower, 600's nice over of the pool and bar area. Clean rooms with great beds. Breakfast spread is more than I thought it would be. Close to the freeway.

I recently used this locatiin for their meeting space and a guest room. I had contacted their sales department a month and a half prior to the event. After 18 phone calls, 18 messages & 12 emails they still did not have banquet orders for me to sign. When I showed up to check-in, they had no clue I was coming. There was no reservation gor my guest room or my week long seminar. They lost my credit card authorization, so I had to submit another. This shows a complete lack of organization. The guest rooms are outdated, dirty and not well maintained as the furntiute is cracked, broken or falling apart. Only about 75% of the light bulbs work. The meeting space I had was upstairs and when walking around in the room it felt and sounded like the fllor was goung to fall right thru to the dining room below. The floor would creek loudly as I was giving my slide show presentations. This was very distracting. I asked to speak with hotel managment but there never was a manager on duty. And when she was, she would not responde. I was told the property had new owners but when I asked to.

I have given this hotel numerous chances over the years as a regular attendee of a few weekend-long events that have contracted with this hotel. My husband and I decided a few years back never to spend a dime directly to the hotel again. Here's a list of our experiences over the past several years (each number is a different stay — not necessarily consecutive years). 1. Broken bed frame. Management unwilling to move us or comp our room for that night. 2. Got a room in the tower next to Hockey team who won against UofA that night and partied until 4ish in the morning. Management and night crew refused to address the noise complaints even though the "guests" were throwing things over the balcony and they were playing hockey with other room items down the hallway. 3. We were given our room key and told the rooms in that section (east wing on the south side 2nd floor facing into the lawn area) had recently been remodeled and repainted. Couldn't get the door open. Found a maintenance guy who had to show us how to jiggle the handle a special way to get the door open. Once in the room we noticed that while the room had indeed been painted, the beds hadn't even been moved to pain the walls behind them, so there was an outline of the beds on the wall where the paint was different. That same room had a bathroom door that was too large. We couldn't close it. Management refused to move us and/or comp our room. 4. Sharing the 404 Suite with some special guests of the event.

10 Reasons Not to stay at the Hotel Tucson City Center InnSuites Conference Suite Resort Worst experience I've had at a hotel… Ever. I would never consider staying here or recommending this place to anyone, not even someone I dislike. 1. They double charged my credit card. 2. During the night, we found that the room had roaches. Lots of them! 3. I had to go home and get sheets and a blanket because the ones in the room didn't look like they had been washed in quite some time. They had mysterious stains everywhere. 4. The breakfast buffet was a reminder of my elementary school cafeteria days. Gross, cold, bland and way too small of an area to accommodate so many people. 5. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that she quit. 6. The Sales manager, Debbie would not release the name of a manager who I could follow up with on Monday. 7. Debbie assured me that she would follow up and call me back on Monday. She didn't. 8. This is more like a compound of motels pretending to be a hotel. There are about six motel like buildings stuffed onto a parking lot that make up this "hotel. " 9. The rooms haven't been updated for at least 20-30 years. 10. I had to clean up the room when I arrived and the carpet smelled like old aged cheese.

I will NOT be returning here! This hotel was recommended to me by a friend. Not sure which type of room she stayed in, but the one I stayed in was horrible. We got in late at night, so it was really dark. I started feeling around for a light switch and couldn't find one. Finally, we found a switch and the light was so dim, we still could hardly see! One lamp shade was broken, another lamp was unplugged. The ceiling was caving in with water damage. I was worried that the roof would collapse! The closet door was open, so I tried closing it (I don't like having closet doors open), and it wouldn't budge. Couldn't close it at all! We brought some drinks in with us, so I went to put them in the fridge, only to find out that it had been unplugged. The door was hanging wide open also! The carpets felt damp, for some reason. I just kept my shoes on the entire time! The bathroom was nasty. Toilet was chipped and cracked, the floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned, the shower walls had some yellow gunk stuck to them, the sink faucet had a piece missing so the water just shot out and splashed everywhere. Yeah, that bathroom was just a disaster. I went to go take a shower and realized there was not 1 single towel in the entire room! There WAS a washcloth and that's what I used to dry off! The price was decent enough, but I'd rather pay more to get a better room! I'm giving 2 stars because I felt it was an affordable price and the hot water worked LOL.

Worst experience ever with this hotel. As soon as we get into the hotel, we get a SCALDING HOT room. After turning the air on (which clearly wasn't working), we called the front desk people and got them to change us to another room. That room was scalding hot as well. They told us to give it an hour and it should be cool. So we left and came back three hours later and it was the same temperature at around 80-85 degrees. We called the desk again and were told "the tower doesn't have very good air conditioning. We'll put you in another room. " WHY HADN'T THEY TOLD US THIS BEFORE?! Once again we get transferred to a motel suite this time. When we get to the motel room, it was the same hot temperature so we wait an hour to see if it changes and it doesn't. When we called the front desk people YET AGAIN, we were told not to trust the thermostat (which said 83 degrees) because apparently they don't work correctly. But it felt like a freakin' oven in there. When we asked the maintenance staff if they felt the heat, they shook their heads "no" and said it felt fine to them. Mind you, my dad has asthma so it is extremely dangerous for him to sleep in that kind of heat. We got transferred again and FINALLY after waiting for a period of 2-3 hours, the room started to return to a normal temperature. So we figure the worst of it is over. The next day we put a "do not disturb" sign on our room because we don't trust maids coming in with our valuables in the room.

We stayed here for two nights. Here's the story of how we could only get in our room two and a half hours after we check in. When we first tried to check in, we waited in line for nearly FOURTY minutes to try and get our room. As we got closer to the front, we realized what was taking so long — the people at the front desk had to run to a back room to scan the IDs of everyone checking in, then run back and finish the process. Furthermore, there were only two people at the front desk to check guests in. We were understanding of the line, given that it was graduation weekend and probably much busier than usual. However, the real nightmare began when we got up to the room. As soon as we opened the door, there was a DISGUSTING SMELL COMING FROM INSIDE — a "bathroom" odor if you will. We asked a member of the cleaning crew who was nearby in the hallway if there was anything she could do about it — she asked us to call the front desk. We called the front desk, and they said they would send someone up to "check it out", ALMOST LIKE THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE US. We waited outside in the hallway with all our luggage. Ten minutes later, no one had appeared, so we sent our daughter down to talk to the people at the front desk. She waited in line for an additional THIRTY MINUTES to try to talk to the people down there. During this time we called the front desk once again. Keep in mind that no one ever showed up after we had called twice.

Glad our room were upgraded as the 2nd room at back smelt like a cheap motel! The new room was in front of Orange blossom trees near the pool surrounded by large palm trees! But always ring up reception if the cleaners fail to clean up before 2pm! The bar offers for free beer for guests is a good move. The only wish list is to chimeny sweep all ventilation shafts to stop human hair landing on the surfae in the bathrom! Breakfast staff do not keep the food warm enough and nothing changes everyday! Bland, plain boring tastes! Needs to keep on improving.
