We stayed here for two night in April 2019 and would definitely stay here again. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms well lighted. The hotel is being remodeled and the rooms are well appointed and modern. There is an outdoor pool. The breakfast is nice, not a hot one, but still adequate and the coffee is good!

That was a little hard for my taste but other than that I like the dorm room vibe.

Our room was spotless, stylish, large and comfortable. Much better than I expected when booking at the last minute! I would happily stay here again on future trips to Tucson.

The place was very cute inside and out. Very funky vibe, and nicely priced. The room did get hot at night and we made the mistake of not turning on the cooling unit in the room. The water plumbing in the downstairs room is incredibly loud and woke me up several times throughout the night. The sink in our room didn't drain well so my face wash ended up coating the whole thing. It had a small fridge and a microwave, and even electric car charging out front which was really cool. It was a good stay and we'd come back.

Rough location for the price. Wi-Fi is decent. Bums in the park across the street. Lipstick on a 1960's pig. Only thing I could find on short notice. Decent soap. Man at front desk was friendly enough, though hard to understand his accent. Won't be back. $150/night for this? Should be $40

The University Inn is close to the University, downtown, and just about any amenity one could need. Great shops and eateries are plentiful. There has been a recent renovation; it made a good value hotel into a great value. No carpeting! The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, and there is a very basic continental breakfast on offer. Being so central means the neighborhood enjoys quite a mix of demographics. There is a park across the street which at night is home to less fortunate people. I felt safe, however. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the inn to friends.

My friends at the University Inn Tucson are seriously dedicated to customer service — ask and ye shall get it. Their modest two-story motor hotel has been my Tucson favorite for 20 years now. Their proximity to 4th Avenue shops and the downtown make it especially delightful. I stayed a night in late october 2017 and was surprised at all of the nice upgrades that they have done to the rooms, bathrooms, and digital movie screens in the rooms. They have also added two electric vehicle hookup parking spaces in their primary lot. Across the street I watched the two huge volleyball courts in full swing with dozens of laughing players having a great time. Typical Tucson.

The bathroom had been recently repainted, and possibly the rest of the room, but there was still tape on the towel hanger on the door :-) The hotel had 3 spots for electric cars, that was neat to see. And the pool looked to be in good shape. I slept great, the bed was comfortable. No digital thermostat though. Still old school control at the window unit.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! They overcharged us and refuse to make it right. They charged us for "additional people" and also to upgrade to a "family room" and overcharged us $10.00 per night (they gave us credit for that). We had our daughters with us, one is 17 and one is 23. The room was disgusting — the pictures are of the room when we arrived — they said they were going to give us a credit but didn't. They didn't leave towels. The breakfast is pathetic, consisting of stale cereal and some fruit. They make coffee by dumping a scoop of new grounds into the filter with the old grounds and rerun it through. The parking is terrible. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Great value for the price. The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and even my grumpy travel companion complemented them. The rooms appeared to be remodeled in the last year with fresh paint, new tub, tile and granite counters. Although the basic furniture (dresser, night stand, tables, etc), I would categorize as antiques or quaint. TV, refrigerator, microwave and iron all worked. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Basic continental breakfast in morning with fresh donuts. Pool was clean and sparkling but a little too cold outside for me. It's located downtown close to UofA and as you may think not the best surrounding neighborhood, but owners had security cameras and locked gates at night making it feel secure. Overall, great value and definitely would stay again.

Do not stay here. I live next door and I am a college female student that was being attacked by my ex boyfriend who stole my cell phone. I ran over & rang the bell because no one was in the office when I was prompted by an Indian looking man who said he would rather have me get raped than to call the police for me for help. I can not imagine anyone would ever EVER say that to ANYONE. Do not stay here.

Bad room, we found cockroaches and the tub sink was clogged so I couldn't even take a shower. Just one electricity plug!. And it's broken also. The AC was good but some buttons wasn't there! Overall I wouldn't pay more than 30 $ to stay there!

Friendly nice staff, close to University and many of things that I need to visit, and the value was good. the most thing I didn't like were the old materials and there were many of homeless in the park just next to our rooms.

The price is great for what you get and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I didn't notice any noise from anyone else and I only noticed traffic one time really in the night which is bound to happen. If I am in the area I will stay here again.

Great place for the price ($68 total). We got double bed room. Had a fridge, microwave, little dining table, 3 chairs. Great Wi-Fi! Clean rooms. But ice machine is in a creepy area. But, overall, very pleased.

Over all a nice stay. But the mattress killed my back and the free breakfast was little more than coffee and donuts.
