I have to share with you all the horrific and disappointing experience I had, at the Hotel Tucson City Center this past Saturday. I urge anyone to avoid this place at all cost. I checked into my room around 2:00pm on Saturday 4/30/16 and the room was a handicap room as one of us had limited mobility (with a disabled placard to prove it). This hotel was rancid. The plugs were all loose, the maintenance had to be called twice for electrical issues the second we walked in. I was shocked by one of the outlets! Not to mention we lost the use of two lights in order for the TV to be plugged in. The toilet wouldn't flush, the shower wouldn't drain and I had to use a towel to wipe about an 1" thick layer of what I can only hope was grease, from the iron before using it for our clothes. The coffee maker was caked with dust throughout. My kids were looking forward to swimming with family while we got ready and prepared for the wedding however the pool was closed for a private pool party and the hotel didn't disclose this until we asked the pool hours. We were in a rush to get ready and get to the wedding on Saturday. So I didn't have the time to ask to be moved to another room. At most, I was just grateful to have a place to keep my things and sleep for the night. I spent, at most, a total of 6 hours in this room. When I checked out I made it a point to mention each and every issue, as I wanted the hotel to know that this room uninhabitable, for any amount of stay (short or long). Upon checking out, the hotel employee behind the counter, Jessica, apologized for the inconvenience and assured me that they would tend to the room ASAP. Originally I had planned to ask for a full refund because this room was the worst room I have EVER paid to stay in. As I was checking out I had a change of heart, as I was trying to be grateful and understood the hotel was under heavy renovation. Fast forward to 3 days later and what a surprise that this horrendous atrocity of a facility had the nerve to charge my account $100.00 for what they call a strong smell of urine somewhere on their already stained carpet. I'm outraged and I hope that NO ONE wastes their time or money at the Hotel Tucson City Center.
