Reviews of Exit Glacier Lodge 2*
A pleasant surprise! We found almost no photos that do this place justice, so we weren't sure what to expect. It's not built on the massive scale that big National Park lodges are in the Lower 48, but it still has all the right ingredients. Rooms are new and clean. Staff was extremely friendly. Lots of rustic stone and wood. Prices were great since we visited in May (the "shoulder season"). Very, very close to the the entrance of Kenai Fjords National Park and just a short drive from downtown Seward. (Highly recommended over the downtown inns there. ) Especially wonderful was the restaurant next door (see my review for that there. ) Greatly simplifies deciding where to eat that first evening. If I had a complaint, it was that our room was uncomfortably warm at first. But we just opened a window and it was fine.
Clean room in a nice setting. There is no air conditioning… but then it is Seward Alaska. The couple of employees we dealt with seemed a bit quirky.
