I came here to out a racist that works here. After reading the reviews it’s hard to tell HOW MANY of em work here. Absolutely disgusting. Shame on you all.

Very respectful on check in and very accommodating for my business. I will be coming back. And thank you for taking extra precautions due to the virus.

Staff was just rude and borderline racist. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here as they are incapable of administering any kind of respect. Not to mention the cleaning staff is lazy and refused to clean our room even after we requested it. Worst hotel ever!

Horrible experience the staff is incompetent of giving great customer service to all sadly they aren't to par in knowing they all money is green no matter whom it is coming from… Ignorance is inexcusable.

I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. The management always try to do everything they can to ensure a pleasant stay. An employee named Sarah is always especially friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Simply UNBELIEVABLE that IHG and the management of this hotel allows employees to talk so rudely and disrespectful to customers! I was made an offer through IHG for an “acceleration” program to which I replied and booked 2 rooms for 3 nights using points and cash, which was booked directly from the offer page. Upon my daughter and her husband, who has epilepsy, arrived at the hotel, she was informed that the reservation was only for 1 room. After speaking with BRENDA at the desk, I was shocked that she would not listen to a guest explain the error on IHG’s part. After arguing with her, I simply told her to have the GM to contact me because I was not done with this. Never did she offer any accommodations to check them into a room so they could be comfortable and wait (remember, you are talking about a man having to sit in the hotel with a disability and just wait…. ) but rather they CANCELLED the entire reservation! So let me get this straight…. You interpret “I am not done with this” as a threat to you so you throw that card up and cancel a stay, a stay where I was not even going to be present, a stay that was a gift……. Bad choice on your part. Thankfully IHG refunded all of my points.

The AC has motion detectors that turn it off when you’re gone. Results in a sweltering hot room every day that you come back to your hotel. Otherwise very nice staff and clean accommodations.

Great and friendly staff. One of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed at. They love their jobs and their guests.

Our daughter in law who is 5 months pregnant fell in a VERY slippery tub. Called to have report made the young lady who came to do it NEVER even asked her if she was ok. We explained what happened and the worker didn't even get her name how far along she was phone #. She just said I can call an ambulance. She checked the bathtub out and said she could only see it was wet. So as she's leaving I asked her didn't she need information for report. So then she wrote information. Asked her for the report when we left. She said Manager had to sign whenever she came in. Not knowing how long till she would arrive. This was 8:00 am. We waited at front desk area. 8:30 still not there they called her she said she didn't need to sign. We were also told at breakfast that it was QUIET time this was at 7:00 am and our Grandsons were sitting at the table eating and playing on the phones. Serriously u expect children ages 5 4 3 and 1 yr old not to talk or make noise. Breakfast lady was a very very nice person and breakfast was good. We thought we'd hear from management to see how our daughter in law is but NOTHING. We are in the IHG club and have used Holiday inn Express many many times.

Large comfortable rooms. Very nice dinning room with a great breakfast (included with room). Plenty of free parking. Inviting lobby. Guest laundry room. 24 hour fitness center. Indoor pool and spa. Outdoor seating area. Near tons of fast food and restaurants. Close to freeway and airport. I will definitely stay again.

My husband and I brought the kids here because we were going to Point Mallard Park. We arrived early and they made accommodations for us to check in early. Well, the room wasn't clean, there was a weird brown stain on the top cover of the bed. We were ok with all of that (I removed the top bedding and I cleaned the room myself) but when it came down to getting some rest (the most important part of the trip), the people above us were running around the room which sounded something like multiple people doing the "River Dance" in brick shoes! After complaining about it throughout the night and morning, the only thing that was offered was more reward points! We will not be staying here again! We value our rest because it's something we don't get much of!

Very disappointed used 30, 000 reward points and was placed in a room that did not lock. I called the front desk and was told that maintenance would come to the room. The manager on duty did not offer to switch my room. I went to the front desk to complain because maintenance was making a lot of. Kiss with the Dremel. This has started. My relaxing weekend off poorly due to the lack of concern for our safety and the safety of our belongings Fellow travelers check the door on your room. Beware room 416.

I really enjoyed the stay, & the friendly employee's who went out of their way to make a person's stay the best, I'm going back there on my next trip.

Older hotel but there are not many options in the area anyway. On par with similar holiday inn express hotels. Staff was very accommodating.

There was an an error in the rate I was charged for the one night I was staying in the hotel (it should have been lower than what I was charged). When I checked in, I attempted to get this resolved. However, they told me that I would need to wait for a manager the next day because they did not have the authority to override it. Fair enough. The next day I attempted to speak to a manager before I left, however, the manager was not in yet. Fair enough. This has led me to attempting to call multiple times to lovely excuses of "She just stepped out to lunch" and empty promises for a call back. When I was finally able to get a manager on the phone, after a long conversation walking through the entire situation, I was told that the refund would be posted to my account and I would see it a few days later. It has been over a week, and still nothing. I am incredibly tired of getting the run-around and being lied to. I will be traveling to this city quite a bit over the next year, and I will certainly be taking my business somewhere else.

I needed a last minute room for my mom that was traveling. Even with only 24hr notice, Jessica and Kasey were awesome and super sweet in helping get this set up and my mom taken care of. My mom had recently had lung surgery (among other health issues) and needed a handicapped room. My mom loved the room, said it was very pretty, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Thank you Jessica and Kasey for your patience (I had a lot of questions), quick work and sweetness! Y'all are appreciated! Next time I travel that way, I'll be staying there for sure!

Nice hotel, GREAT staff. I have stayed here before & will return. Close to airport, shopping & U. S. Space &Rocket Center.

I would definitely stay here again! Reasonably priced, very nice rooms, fridge, microwave, book lights on the lamps for late night reading! Keurig coffee, hot fresh breakfast til 10! And everyone is super nice there! We will definitely stay here again as we drive thru or when we go and visit family in town.

The first time I walked into the Holiday Inn Express I noticed how cleanly it was. The person at the counter was friendly and courteous and promptly asked me for my information so that way they can get me into my room. They also provided me information such as when breakfast hours are and also when they have their managers dinner night on Mondays. The rooms are clean and spacious and I do not have a hard time sleeping every night. The shower pressure and hot water is good as well. Lastly the breakfast while not the best breakfast in the world is pretty good and I am satisfied with it.

Nice rooms and good breakfast. Nice that they have cookies out too. My only complaint is how very heavy the doors are.

Stayed overnight on business because the normal hotel in this area was fully booked. Was quite diappointed. Have stayed at other Holiday inn Expresses and had better experience. Staff was friendly, but breakfast was poorly stocked, gym equipment was non-functional, and they were undergoing an influx of lady bugs (they did warn us about this and offered to remove any found). Bedding was too thin for the weather and there were not extra blankets in the room. Great location near plenty of food and just a couple miles from bridge Street area and the airport.

The place is clean inside and out. The staff, facilities, and the breakfast is great. This is one of the best hotels I have been in. There are many restaurants within a 5 minute walk from here.

Quality lodging, comfortable bed, clean room, friendly staff. The free breakfast is descent and pretty consistent. The internet connection is pretty consistent, but also on the slow side.

This location is up to date and fresh. The furnishings and decor are nice for this price point. Breakfast service is typical for the chain; always well-stocked and fresh. Sarah at the front desk is exceptionally welcoming and ready to assist with whatever needs guests present to her. There's some occasional highway noise to contend with, but overall this is among my favorite places to stay in the Huntsville-Decatur area.

This hotel is beautiful and very well kept. Guests are entitled to a daily evening managers social and breakfast bar. Rooms are clean and well equipped with comfortable beds, mini-fridge, microwave, and fully stocked restroom. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was only there to sleep not a lot of time to just lay around but when I was there sleeping the beds were amazing the sheets felt a great the showers had the perfect pressure, but if I had anything else to say I just wish that the TV you can mess with the brightness mine was super dark and low could barely see. When I was there talking to the staff there were super helpful and super nice helped me with everything that I needed and more.

Good choices and breadth of flavors in craft beer. Good gastropub food. I think they have a real cheif. Fun outside atmosphere in the back, local corn hole games. Fun place with occasional love music or front.

New, clean, quiet hotel with great hot breakfast options. Much better than the other Holiday Inn in town.

The thermostat has a sensor to activate, so you will come back to a very hot and sticky room in the summer. The bed feel sticky and icky even after a few hours of AC. There is only one washer and dryer. The washer was broken the two weeks I was there. The front desk did offer to wash my laundry with the washer they had in the back office. One side of the toaster was broken the whole two weeks, even though the front desk was alerted. The people was very nice and helpful.

Clean and quiet rooms. I'm on day five of a nine night stay. Housekeeping forgot to restock the in room coffee twice and today didn't service the room at all. It's not a deal breaker for me since I bring my own instant coffee but not everyone does.

I give my strongest recommendations against staying here and the ironic thing is… my supervisor did not actually stay at this hotel. One-star is more than the management deserves for the way they operate. The reservation was for two rooms. Plans changed and the cancellation was made in a timely manner. The system for some reason only canceled one of the rooms instead of both rooms. This was discovered when I checked his card balance (as is my job). After SEVERAL phone calls and messages left, I was finally able to speak with someone named Jessica. After explaining the error in the cancellation, she blames me for the charge, stating 'I should have called the hotel to follow up and ensure the cancellation went through for both rooms". That makes no sense… if I made ONE reservation for TWO rooms, when I cancel that ONE reservation, BOTH rooms should have been canceled. It was a system error. She put me on hold to do some 'research' and when she returned, told me they would make a one-time refund and proceeded to lecture me on 'calling the hotel after a cancellation has been made to ensure the cancellation went through for both rooms'. I told her NOT to lecture me since we would not be seeing eye-to-eye on the topic and that I would not be making reservations again at her establishment. She then refused to reverse the charge and hung up the phone on me. Her behavior and well as the ethics of this place is not surprising. Which is a shame.

The room was very clean and everyone was friendly. Indoor pool was a great bonus when we had some down time. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was incredibly uneventful, which is the sign of a great hotel. Our room was clean, the staff was pleasant, and the beds were comfortable. We were given a room right next to the elevator, but didn't hear anything. All in all, a great stay.

Had a really hard time getting early check in today. I come to this one a lot for work and have never asked for early check in from this location. I am a member with gold elite status. I called the night before I arrived and asked them if I could get early check in, they said for me to call in the morning. So I called the next morning a couple hours before I arrived and they said they could get me in at 1, then I arrived and they said it will be 2. Poor customer service! I've gotten early check in at other Holiday Inn hotels no problem so this shows how this place feels about customer service. I've spent $150+ per night, many nights at this place. Thanks for the hospitality Madison Holiday Inn.

This is a great place to stay while in Huntsville especially is you are a government employee. The staff was extremely accommodating to my needs during my stay. On short notice, they allowed me to use one of their conference rooms for a business meeting free of charge. They really take care of their guests and make a genuine effort to fix any issues you are having with your stay. The only thing keeping them from 5 star rating is their laundry machines are a little price and their fluff and fold service is out of control expensive. Besides for that, they ladies that run this hotel are straight all-star status and will go out of their way to hook you up.

Location was quiet and staff was pleasant. Rooms were large and beds were very comfortable.

Man, they always treat me well here. Several of the employees recognize me and say hello. They always give suite upgrades in my experience (for Plat and Spire Elite). The manager always puts on different social events and things for guests during the times that I have stayed. They keep their breakfast area well-stocked. The rooms are always clean, free of issues. I always look forward to staying at this HI Express, they seem to love going above and beyond.

Bate and switch on rates. Watch yourself. They advertise one rate online under Google and when you call they can not give you that rate. They apologize but the rate is $20 night higher than advertised.

Awesome place to stay! Free full breakfast to start your day. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, full fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub. Free happy hour from 5 to 7 for guests on Tuesday night. And the people that work there are super friendly and helpful. I completely enjoy the time I spend there.

Friendly service, mostly clean and modern rooms, many amenities including a decent size indoor pool and hot tub (very clean and pleasant) and, as always, an exceptional breakfast. Highly recommended!

Madison Al Holiday Inn Express Hotel monitors your internet connection blocks sites While the hotel is nice enough, fairly new I will not stay here again. I find that a hotel that BLOCKS INTERNET SITES, IN YOUR ROOM, ON YOUR EQUIPMENT totally unacceptable. There is no good reason why they should be blocking any sites and everyone should know that they BLOCK SOME INTERNET SITES. The service provider that the front desk had me talk to said it was their software preventing Phising sites but this is a load of bull, fact is they are blocking some sites and everyone should know about it. There are several other choices all within ½ mile of this hotel. It is too bad because this hotel is close to the Airport but so are the others and they are not that much older. If the hotel is deciding what you can surf then they are checking what you are surfing and this is an invasion of privacy. I do not need them to make sure I don’t get Phished – and if I want to give my banking info to someone on the net, then so be it, that is none of their business period. I know some people likely stay here from Redstone or some of the defense contractors – what info are they getting from your use of the internet.

My stay was excellent. The staff here were very accommodating, we had a reunion here and they also had 2 other groups in house as well. I have to say they knew what they were doing. They were organized and ready us. My family had a great stay and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The service and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great as well. My daughter and I checked into the hotel after a long dreary day of driving (1 Jan 2013). The hotel accommodations and amenities where only exceeded by the service. Noteworthy was the hotel manager. At first I thought she was the night supervisor but when I saw her the next morning in the breakfast area it was quite obvious that this lady runs a proficient operation. She obviously spends a great deal of time ensuring that everything is just right for her guests. The front desk, cleaning and breakfast staff were extremely pleasant and professional. I am not a frequent traveler but I can say that I don't remember a more pleasant stay in a hotel in the last ten years and would highly recommend this manager and her hotel.

This hotel was excellent. Everyone was super friendly and willingness to help was above the normal. Breakfast was nice. Very clean and new. Good location and easy access to interstate.
