The hotel is amazing, all the staff speak French, is available and listening the housekeeping is spotless.
The dishes offered very varied and icing on the cake for desserts a big congratulations to the cooks and the pastry is worthy of the French one.

Nice hotel, good security at the entrance, which is reassuring. Disappointed not to have found real mint tea. Rich and varied Buffet, excellent Tunisian pastries. Too bad there is no detail of all the dishes… Spacious and well equipped but ageing room + no details of TV channels (you have to test for yourself). Bed redone every day and small housekeeping also every day (a thought for the poor people charged with all the rooms of the hotel…) Staff especially welcoming a thought for one of the ladies of the room service very nice and authentic. Nice swimming pool and many services offered on site, at correct prices! Close to the beach.
A downside to raise is the lack of organization when entering/exiting at the reception level…

On a family trip, the rooms are very very dirty, smell bad, for talking with other people. It's apparently general. To escape absolutely. Rectification, it seems that it is only the rooms of the DRC… As for the rooms at the top, the price is not so much more expensive but clean rooms, which smell good clean, fitted furniture and newer fabrics… So yes worthy of a 5

It was impossible to sleep until 3 o'clock in the morning. There is a nightclub next to this hotel.

Room dirty sheets dirty. Full of dust. Old room. Dirty carpet. The buffet at will just its positive. Everything is dilapidated and poorly maintained. A few staff polite but that's it.

Other rooms of the corridor were still in construction, and quality and decoration is under the standard. The food is not crazy and hotel is full of hospital patients. The service is not impressive and employees are not really friendly.

The hotel was too good this is the second time I go there and I intend to return if you look for a hotel choose one if it is really very ranked everything is fine I advise you.

Very quiet. Not far from downtown Tunis. Watch out for taxis right in front of the hotel: prohibitive prices to be discussed firmly and divided by 2. Hotel Restaurant with a great choice. Nice room with TV in French. Right in front of the sea, direct access to the beach.! Nothing organized before the end of April for the beach.

Nice hotel and staff friendly and professional in general except for reception on arrival (not a look, hello or anything…). Buffet very good, wide choice and great room nice. On the other hand the water is paying, not top… Very nice entrance Hall as well as the swimming pool in the inner courtyard, especially at night.
On the other hand the room was horrible, foul smell impregnated in an old carpet in green mosaic stained everywhere! Furniture and bed (rather 2 single beds glued for a double room…) dating from another era. I'm not talking about the bedspreads, the blankets and the TV that barely worked. Admittedly, this room is called "standard" but for a 5 star hotel It's still very limited, really! Moreover the corridors of these "old" buildings (in carpet, room also) smell the cigarette and the paint at full nose, not pleasant at all…
To know that there are also beautiful rooms and suites in the complex in newer buildings. These are the rooms whose photos are present on the Internet. However we did not know what type of room we were going to fall as we went through a body (UniverMed) of cosmetic surgery. Bad surprise of the shot… But if you have a choice, do not choose these "standard" rooms.

I stayed there for a week, the carpet in the room left to desire both by its smell and by its cleanliness. Of course when you see the housekeepers dealing with it simply by spraying it with something I don't know, no wonder. I also had the surprise of taking my shower with a cockroach, evidence supported it. And the buffet has will… For a week I ate almost every day the same things. Disgusting for the price. For the cockroach it seems that the Tunisians are accustomed there is only us, French, that it disgusts. Excuse me, sir.

Well, I was excited at first to go the this hotel in the beautiful Gammarth neighbourhood. First impression was great. The hotel looked good. Enetering the room though was different. The suit room we had was very outdated (maybe 1990's furniture). The furniture was very old and the decor was boring. The bathroom had broken tiles and imperfections everywhere. I was surprised that this hotel had a 5 star rating. Why? I have no idea! It should be a three star hotel instead! Also, the Wi-Fi signal was really bad. My devices kept disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. Please do not reply like other reviews "come to see our newly refurbished rooms". I was there on 13 January and my room was not refurbished. To conclude, I wouldn't go back there and pay a 5 star hotel rate. Go somewhere else!

While the hotel in general is nice the rooms are very outdated. Be sure to ask for a renovated room so that you receive a modern room and not a room that feels 30 years old.

Lobby and public areas look great but their standard rooms are. Well below good standards. They look like 1 or at best 2 star rooms. Furniture is very old and dated and the hotel needs renovations.

Interesting conference but so far back for innovation today you do much better than discussed but in the meantime it's good that you start in some way.

Food is very good, there is hot pool but the hotel facilities are old like old TV not lcd, dryer and refrigerator not working.

Is nice being here but they need to HV microwave in their rooms especially for nursing mums or mothers with little kids… thanks.

Great rooms food is okay swimming pool is decent size and there is hot tub as well. Service sucks. Then again I find service in Tunisian hotels in general very bad it seems to be a Countrywide problem.

Great hotel with a nice pool and all the buildings placed Around. The rooms are large and spacious but would need a refreshing (carpet, paint, bathroom, …) It remains correct for one night.
But for a long stay and for the price, a little more comfort and cleanliness would be the good coming.

No responsiveness on the part of the staff, G ask for a mosquito product 3 times, I always wait, moreover, water is obligatory without supplement, c a natural source, and c the base, I never meet this situation in my whole life, even in the worst Places of the world, water served you first, C is not worthy of a resort, honestly your image takes a big blow, knowing many people who travel for business, I will not recommend them if they have to go through Tunis, however one Warned Me. On the other hand the staff of the restaurant is benevolent and smiling and the buffet is very decent. And to finish my room was horrible, so-called standard, but even standard for a 5 star, this one must maintain its prestige especially internationally,

Regarded as 5-star hotel by Tunisian standards, but I would rate it a 3-star hotel. The property is very spacious, located in a beautiful town Gammarth. The rooms are average and moderately clean. Foods are edible.

Really it is a nice place fantastic the rooms are spacious well equipped the staff is nice and welcoming I thank all the staff of the hotel the outdoor pool and the indoor pool are spotless I bathe well unless it takes Heating the internal pool seen the climate will change I spent the New year 2012/2013 here it was well past the restaurant is clean the food is good nothing to say, in short, it deserves 5 stars. ;)

Cool place and nice views except the food is a disaster.

This place really suck to put it mildly. Planned to stay 5 days. Will be leaving. After ONE. Service is terrible… food is a version of 35 years Frances hospital food (I'm an executive chef) requested two towels and some ice for champagne to celebrate with my wife. Waited 1 hour called back again and my request never got fullfiled. A 1 star is to much for this.

Dont be fooled by the decent exterior. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. And I'm not a picky person — I've been known to stay at hostels. But this hotel had so many things wrong with it that, combined, made my stay seriously uncomfortable. First, it is incredibly unclean. Even in the supposedly refurbished rooms, the carpets and sheets and bathrooms are terrible. I don't blame the staff. It's clear they are not given the tools or the training (in terms of best practices) to do their jobs correctly. Secondly, the service was ATROCIOUS. I waited an hour to get a towel, because the one left in the bathroom was dirty when I checked in. Getting a bath towel for the beach was this long ordeal involving a plastic card, and two sets of paper tickets. When you ask reception for a taxi, their idea of "calling" is to tell security to wave across the street where a few scammer taxis wait. So then its an ordeal every time to get them to turn on their meters and get you where you want to go. Breakfast was terrible, lobby bathrooms never had toilet paper, it took us an hour to order and receive food at the pool bar, and loud drumming from weddings at the hotel kept us up all night. I don't understand why wedding parties don't have a separate entrance. And did I mention the most terrible Wi-Fi I've ever had? I was in tunis for a conference and the lack of Wi-Fi made life difficult when it came to getting work done. And the list goes on and on.

I do not give 5 stars for room service.

It's a 3 star hotel, I stayed in room 2003 and it's old and in need of some care, food is ok they provide a wide selection of food althoug I noticed it's a lot magreb driven selection of food, Wi-Fi works! althoug it can be slow sometimes, and staff… well they are a bit, how should I say this, a bit below what one should expect from a so called 5 star hotel, for these observations I cannot give a better rating, old hotel with poor staf where the catering was the only thing I enjoyed.

To flee shameful and lie not 5 stars merit barely half a star.
I stayed at this hotel 3 nights after an operation, horrible huge dust room it is shameful to welcome new guests in such a room the old carpet furniture stained a lot of things been damaged.

The room service really imworld and to top it all you are registered on a formula all inclusive but no drink is served at the buffet says a will not even water everything is in extra to pay abuse.

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel for a time of convalescence. Besides its location, the luxury of the rooms, the fantastic buffets, it is especially the kindness, the availability, the friendliness of all the staff that is remarkable, as much the maids, the staff of the restaurant and the bars and Nabil the nurse to Almost painless bites! Very nice Hotel in typical Tunisian style, very large and well cared for. Friendly and helpful staff offers in addition a security service that makes you feel very quiet.

Nice relaxing place and of a higher standard than typical other 5* Tunisian hotels. Huge outdoor pool and a nice bright indoor pool. Big breakfast buffet with a large choice. Superior rooms are really nice. Most rooms have great sea/pool views. Plenty of parking space. Cafe Maure is really cosy and clean. Overall good price/performance. Definitely one of the better hotels in this price category in Tunisia. I come to this hotel for almost 10 years now.

Not bad the host I spend a good time.

We stayed in this hotel in June 2008. All very much. Nice and comfortable. Maids once daily housekeeping decorated room with flower petals, and towels twisted beautiful swans. It was nice and unexpected. The staff is friendly, although nobody spoke Russian, by the end of our holiday learnt a few words. Food was tasty and diverse. Swimming pool features an indoor heated pool and on the street. To the sea 2 шага. До capital by taxi 20 minutes. Basically there is a rest Europeans.
