Two Mountains Lodge

This was my second extended stay at 2 Mts. I was first there from January — March 2025 and I can’t say enough about the facilities — a pool, the Mountain Views, nature everywhere, my room, the food and especially the staff. The price was very reasonable and breakfasts were fitted to my personal tastes. Often I was there for dinner as well and I was always welcomed not as a visitor but as if it was my second home.
The location was perfect. I work as a volunteer nearby at an orphanage and my driver lives right across the street.
In January I brought a group of 6 women with me to go on safari and then volunteer at the orphanage. They all loved 2Mts as well. I was back in August — September and of course I got my old room with a balcony back.
I will be back for a 4th trip to Tanzania, but there’s no reason to look elsewhere. 2 Mts has everything I could want in a hotel.
I can’t wait to be embraced by the staff.
For an overnight or extended stay 2 Mts is perfect.

Honestly, I would not return to this place or recommend it to others. I wanted to like it but the rooms are muggy and a bright light from the hallway shines into an inaccessible window above the door. At 330am the kitchen crew started up with roaring mixers and loud chatter. Surprisingly the food was poor, given how much time they spent preparing it (most of the night). The location is lush and the view from the roof is impressive. This is the only redeeming quality. Avoid.

Even though our stay was short it was wonderful. We only stayed for 1 day before going on safari. We wish we could have stayed longer. We utilized airport pickup from the hotel and Victor was great! When we arrived at the hotel the staff were waiting outside for us, even though our flight was delayed for over an hour. They greeted us with fresh watermelon juice and hot towels, which was so nice after traveling for 22 hours. Check in was quick and the staff were so helpful!. Communication was wonderful prior to arrival and I'd been chatting with Stephania to arrange for birthday decorations in my friends room. They did a phenomenal job and we were all so surprised! Balloons and flowers and they all sang happy birthday to my friends as well. They upgraded both rooms, which were wonderful. Before we went to bed after our long journey, Stephania told us that the view from the roof at sunrise was beautiful! The sounds and sites were undesirable. We were able to Kilimanjaro. What a wonderful way to start the day. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were wonderful. Winnie was just so great and friendly. We only wish we could have stayed longer and checkout was a breeze. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you so much Stephania and Winnie!

The hotel was situated in a lovely setting right on the slopes of Mount Meru with great views all the way out to Kili. The location was excellent! Service particularly from the waiters and kitchen could have been much better. It was often slow and uncoordinated. The food was great though.

I had the greatest experience staying there!. The fee was very affordable and the he staff were very welcoming and efficient. It was really nice waking up to the view of the mountains, very relaxing (exactly what I needed). Honestly speaking I loved staying there and would recommend others to try it out.

Two Mountains upgraded us all to deluxe rooms … some with a balcony. Bed was comfortable; sitting area pleasant. Safe water provided for drinking. Since it was a cloudy day, shower was luke warm at best. Staff was courteous, friendly, welcoming and attentive to our every need, including need for gluten-free diet. Wifi was available. Location seemed to be in the middle of a coffee plantation > lovely, green plants. Road to the hotel was quite bumpy, but passable. A comfortable introduction to Tanzania.

We stayed here on our way from Kilimanjaro to our Serengeti Safari, but as soon as we drove through the gates to the hotel we wished we had booked a longer stay. The hotel has every amenity you can think of, and is nestled on a beautiful hill with views of Mt Kili and Mt Meru. We were offered a deluxe room and the price was very affordable. The room was spacious, with marble and stone tile, comfy clean beds and soft pillows. The wait staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel feels like a jungle hideaway but is very close to Arusha and day tours. We loved it and had no complaints. We will recommend Two Mountains Lodge to our friends from home and abroad.

I loved the fact that its nested on the slope of Mount Meru's lush mountain side. It was an actual sweet surprise. The staff are excellent! They were very helpful. If you want to hide from the hustle and bustle of city life, I recommend this place. It shall never disappoint you.

I stayed for at Two Mountains Lodge for a month while visiting my daughter and her family, who live nearby. I can't praise this place enough! The entire staff and owner — who was onsite at the time — were totally attentive, helpful and friendly from my first day to my last. The hotel is a beautiful, spotlessly clean facility with good internet and reliable power, which is a huge plus in the mountains. My rate included a full breakfast of my choice each day and was great value for money. A bonus: on a clear day you can see the tops of both Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro from the roof, as well as breathtaking views of the valley below. I will definitely return next time I am Tanzania.
