Samora River Lodge

This place is paradise, so peaceful with the sound of the river running past. Beds are so comfy with the fluffiest duvet cover I’ve ever slept with. Would highly recommend, very close to Arusha. Food was delicious and the staff couldn’t be more helpful.

This was such an amazing stay. So close to Arusha but so peaceful with the only sound that of the river. The food, staff and beds we couldn’t fault. All so welcoming and perfect. It gets cold at night but they have an electric heater in the room. So they have thought of everything! Would highly recommend to stay here.

A nice serene lodge by the river. Service is excellent they do their utmost to make you feel comfortable and at home. Food er great, at its perfect resting place either before you go on safari or after safari before flying onwards as we did.
We took the opportunity to check Arushas' night life, and they made sure we could get there safely. I highly recommend checking it out if you have the time. You'll find lots of Westerners staying in Arusha doing various volunteer work. Prices are cheap, places are really nice, and service great.

This boutique lodge is a little oasis in the middle of Arusha. You fall asleep in a vast, comfortable bed with soft linen, listening to the sounds of the bubbling river. Everything is very clean and new and rooms are large. Meals are delicious and staff are very attentive and caring when meeting dietary requirements (no matter how challenging they are). Meals are in their beautiful open air restaurant with the sounds of the river and singing birds. Great Wi-Fi too. Will definitely stay here again!

This was our first place to stay in Tanzania, and wow—what an amazing experience! Located close to the busy city, yet offering all the peace and quiet you could wish for. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and waking up to the sound of birds was simply wonderful. We were truly surprised by this place and the incredible people working here. Thank you once again!

This was the best AirBnB experience I've ever had.
My girlfriend, who is from Arusha but has been living in Germany for almost a decade, and I spent a week at the Lodge before continuing on to Moshi to celebrate Christmas with her family. We came in with no particular expectations and were blown away by a gorgeous, newly built compound nestled between trees and a rushing river you could hear at night while falling asleep to the sounds of birds and falling water.
The staff as well as the owners, who also live on the property, were warm and welcoming, provided excellent, fast service, and overall really made us feel at home. I had a minor food poisoning from some streetfood and the family kindly offered me some medication from their private stock. The staff also cleaned our very dirty car TWICE without being asked or expecting compensation. Absolute insane service. I want to give special praise to Baraka, who was an incredibly friendly and competent waiter and an even better chef (for both traditional Swahili and international cuisine). It was also a pleasure just talking to him and being taught some useful Swahili phrases (I've only been learning for a couple of months, so I really appreciated that).
The three (? ) bungalows themselves are gorgeous, feature a beautiful view over the trees, and ours was kept very clean throughout the entire week of our stay.

A special shout-out to the owner, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our entire trip. They offered fantastic local recommendations and were ALWAYS available to assist with anything we needed. It made the whole experience feel even more personal and memorable.

I had a wonderful stay at Samora River Lodge in Arusha. The cabin offered an amazing setting with breathtaking views that made relaxation easy. The host was exceptionally accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay and ready to assist with recommendations around the town.
