Katambuga House

Excellent all the way around. We did a two day Fly Camp. Really great to get a different perspective of the animals and environment than our driving tours. The staff was excellent, the food was incredible, and the accommodations first rate. I highly recommend.

Katambuga House was a beautiful location to overnight before beginning our trip to Tarangire NP, and was the perfect spot for rest after an exhausting and long flight to Tanzania. The hotel is beautiful and each room feels like you have your own private garden to enjoy with the room. The rooms were extremely clean, had all the basic necessities, and provided us the respite we needed before a two week safari trip. The food at the hotel was also delicious and healthy. Katambuga packed us our lunch for our first day in Tarangire, and it was my favorite packed lunch of the entire trip! The service was also warm and excellent. I only wish we could have spent an extra night here!

A lovely small hotel in Arusha. Great place to recharge after flying in. The pool was very refreshing at the end of the day. Very helpful staff and absolutely delicious food. Some beautiful plants in the garden too.

Katambuga House was a great way to start Safari adventure after a long trip from Australia. Nice dinner and swim and a beer to relax before continuing on our journey the next day.

Katambuga House was our first stop in our safari with Entara. The house was perfect for us to recover from our long flight. We enjoyed the pool and had a great meal. Our room was beautiful, with a balcony opening into the garden. The staff was helpful and attentive. We highly recommend it.

11 of us stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate a milestone birthday and we could not have been happier with our choice. It's a lovely, tranquil location close to Arusha airport with a great pool. The chef made sure there were gluten free options and we were taken care of beautifully. Would absolutely stay here again.

Katambuga House is a lovely, quaint place to stay prior to heading out on safari. The staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating, including making a meal late in the evening the night of our arrival, and baking a special birthday cake. The food and service is terrific, without exception. However, our room needed maintenance. The shower did not drain properly and consequently flooded the bathroom during every shower. The bathroom sink did not drain well either. The towels are rough, small, and flat, as are the bed pillows. A plumber and an upgrade in linens would make Katambuga House a treasured place to stay.

I stayed overnight here before starting a Tanzanian safari. The staff were very friendly, the room was huge and the food excellent. The pool area is lovely, with a great view of Mt Meru, there are comfortable loungers and an eating area. Hotel is in a quiet, green environment, which is very relaxing. The airport is very close but no sound of aircraft. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff here were incredibly gracious. It felt we were visiting the home of delightful, tasteful, caring friends. The location was close to the airport, but not so close as you'd hear planes all night. The grounds were serene and tranquil. Great launching point for our safari.

Un havre de paix! Situated next to the city so it is very peacfull! The garden and the swimming-pool are amazing! Staffs are adorable and very helpful. They could arrange my breakfast earlier because I had a safari trip. The room is spacious and confortable! Feels like a 5 stars hotel in the country side! The food was delicious I still have the taste in mouth! Bless!

We stayed at Katambuga the first day after a long journey from the UK, before an amazing Safari. It was a wonderful place to relax, unwind, eat, drink and prepare for Safari. Wonderful team and staff at the lodge.

Perfect place for unwinding after a long journey, near the centre of safari country, Arusha. The staff, food and rooms were wonderful and we slept like logs!

We stayed overnight here before starting a Tanzanian safari. We loved everything about it, from the friendly staff, to the huge room and the food. We arrived mid afternoon, not having eaten lunch and the staff went out of their way to put some snacks together for us. The pool area is lovely, even on a cool day as there are comfortable loungers. Hotel is in a quiet, green environment, which is very relaxing. Would definitely stay here again.

Another lovely stay here. Very friendly and professional staff, with very good sense for levels of engagement. Lovely garden with swimming pool looking at Mt Meru. Excellent way to start after a long day-flight in. Bit far from Kili airport, which works well if headi g towards the west.

This was our first stop in Tanzania and it was a great place to land after our very long flight! The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were clean and spacious! We enjoyed watching all the birdlife from both our private patio and the larger one in the “lobby” The food was also very good and staff was helpful and friendly. They also did a great job accommodating our groups dietary restrictions! I highly recommend if you are stopping in Arusha.

Stunning view of mt. Meru. Comfortable location to start or end the safari. Welcoming staff, great food, beautiful rooms and wonderful gardens. An afternoon near the pool with a cold drink and the multitude of birds, is what we needed at the conclusion of a wonderful but tiring safari.

We arrived here early after a long night of flying. Our needs were immediately understood and we were left alone to take an easy, quiet day to recover. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, the food is fresh and delicious, the surroundings are stunning with views of beautiful Mount Meru and our hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We left early the next day ready for the rest of our holiday. This was the perfect way to begin our adventure.
