Greg and the Villa Poa crew are amazing for both a stay in Arusha as well as safari! Thank you so much! 10/10 recommend.

Its such really cool place, staffs are nice quick and responsive very clean Lucy and Neema are superhelp. They make you feel like your at home. They feed you every minutes the environment is cool and quiet I love the garden outside. On top of that food is something else here very fresh and delicious.

Perfect accomodation, lovely garden, delicious food and the nicest stuff! Thank you so much.

Beware of this lodge it may appear like a pretty place to stay but there is more to this lodge appearing to look nice. Do not be deceived by the nice scenery look of this place. The owner Greg threatened me and my husband because we told him we were going to leave a review on how filthy the environment is and how the customer service is HORRIBLE for him and his 2 main workers Lucy the receptionists and Neema his cook. His exact words were "if you leave a bad review i will call the police on you and i will sue you". We stayed at this location for about 5 months so we experienced the real side of Greg and his workers. I'm sure he has threatened other people who wanted to leave a bad review other wise why would he threatened us so easily all because we want to bring awareness so someone won't have to experience what we experienced.
Neema would always leave dishes in the sink. There were roaches all over the kitchen, bathrooms, and walk ways. They had rat feeces in the bathroom we were in. The receptionists Lucy would never take the trash out. We had to always tell her to take the trash out because she would leave the trash in the hall way for days. So it would cause a bad odor, nats would fly everywhere by our room door, and the trash would always accumulate up causing us to have to put trash on the floor. When we would ask Lucy to take the trash she would always say "ok later. " This place doesn't even deserve a 1star, I wouldn't refer anyone to this location.

Amazing place — feels so welcoming and like home. Food was delicious and staff was super helpful. Cozy beds, hot shower, good price. Highly recommend!

Ambience, friendly and attentive staff, comfortable and serene surroundings, luxurious day beds, wholesome breqkfasts with options for self catering or inhouse meals, with easy access to town, amenities like Village mall Njiru Road.

If you are quite comfortable place in arusha then this is the one little away from the town but there are lots of restaurants and supermarkets with in a km the staffs are very friendly and will make you feel like home the got two geodomes and two swings to chill out.

We felt very welcome when we arrived and the staf took great care if us. Next to this the food was amazing. The rooms and bathrooms are in good condition. Thank you very much.

I will 1000000 recommended this any and every day for your travel transit or long term vacation stay. Beautifull ambience. Neat rooms and excellent service from the incredible Lucy… the host Greg deserves a Super Host recognition… Location is secure and close to the main road and many amenities… Staying in Arusha look no further than Villa Poa.

Stay here! Doubt you will find a better guesthouse in Arusha. It’s like an oasis in the busyness of Arusha. Lucy, and Baraka are so lovely and hospitable and make you feel very welcome. The food Lucy makes is excellent. Ayubu can organize anything you need. Renatus and Hawa can organize any type of tour for you in the country. We took a 4 day tour organized by Renatus and it was amazing. 5 stars (Greg Adventures) Highly recommend to stay here!

Beautiful rooms, lovely staff. Good and included breakfast and for 10$ a tasty dinner. The rooms (tents, outside) are really good but the mattress could be softer and there could be more light in the bathroom.

The villa was really nice with great front yard with swinging beds and furniture to chill on. There was a little confusion on arrival with the rooms, we didn't get the room we booked but got a bungalow instead but we had the room after that and it was really big and very comfy with big terrace where I saw Mount Meru clearly during sunset and the stay was really enjoyable. The people that were taking care of the place were very pleasant and Lucy who coooked and took care of our laundry was very welcoming and accomodating to our vegetarian needs. They took us in town to do some shopping before the safari trip and helped us get what we needed and had a nice lunch after that. We booked a safari through them and although was kind of last minute and rushed, some details were missed out, we still had a great time on the safari even though we were transferred to a different company. But we saw many companies on the tour and they were all doing the same, they all made sure we see enough and do enough and overall it was a great experience that we will never forget.

I had a lovely, short stay at Villa Poa following the safari I went on with Greg Adventures. The property is tucked away in Arusha: quiet, safe and beautiful place to relax when not exploring the city. Ayubu greeted us after our adventure and was very helpful showing us several important things in the immediate area and making suggestions for dinner. The room was large and very clean, bed was comfortable, equipped with mosquito nets and everything I needed to wind down. I enjoyed a quiet rest. The shared bathroom was very clean and directly next to the room (suite-style, shared with one other room with 2 beds). Breakfast was excellent and included coffee or tea, eggs, toast, chipati and fruit — so good! I would highly recommend staying here while in Arusha.

Oh where to start? We really enjoyed our time at Villa Poa. It was clean and comfortable and very spacious, our room definitely exceeded our expectations! Just outside the room was a shared balcony which was lovely to sit out and relax!
The communal area downstairs was a our favourite chill out spot, comfy seating and good vibes! We definitely felt at home at Villa Poa. All the staff were super friendly and so helpful!
Although Villa Poa is not in central Arusha, they had a good taxi service link which was cheap. To get to the centre it's only about 3$. There are shops within walking distance, there's stools and street food places within a few minutes walk. The supermarket is about a 10/15 min walk. If you didn't want to go out you don't need to as there's a fridge with soft drinks and beer and a very reasonable price! They provide breakfast which is I have to say was one of the best breakfasts we had whilst in Arusha, Safari and Zanzibar. And we stayed in a lot of places! They also provide dinner too, you just have to order by 4pm and they go out and buy fresh produce and cook whatever you ask for :)
We didn't get much time in Arusha, regrettably! But I know we will be coming back to Villa Poa. Thank you guys!
