A typical charming Switzerland mountain hotel. Family owned. Situated in a small ski resort overlooking Lake Lucerne.

We were booked into the Engle as part of a Christmas coach tour holiday. It is a lovely traditional Swiss building set high above the lake with views of the wooded hillside.

Room — my girlfriend and I spent 5 nights the top floor of the house called “Viola”. This room included a balcony with an astonishing view over the lake with mountains on the backdrop.

Tucked away in the postcard-like village of Emmetten, BellaRosa Apartment (we stayed in “Jasmine”) was a true highlight of our trip.

The service has been amazing, haven't been judged by age. Offered early check in as I asked in advance. The sauna area was amazing, it's private and it really offers a place to relax.

I stayed over here with my wife 13 years back, had a wonderful time, I still cheerish those memories, will love to visit again.

We had a really nice stay at Hotel Crystal, that have a great location in the city of Engelberg. Our room was nice, clean and had a balcony with view over the mountains.

Enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. We arrived late night, the room keys, parking key was arranged in the lock box and the access was smooth secure.

Enjoyable stay. Healthy sized bedrooms, with good kitchen and lounge/dinning facilities. We had a 3 bedroom apparent between 8 of us and it worked really well with the double sofa bed.

We stayed 3 nights here. We were on the ground floor with no view. The bed was good. There were many insects though like flies, mosquitos and spider. Breakfast options could be better to be honest.

Wonderful little hôtel/restaurant in an incredible setting on Lungern lake. Excellent service, great staff, relaxed and cozy atmosphere, good food. We look forward to returning.

What an extraordinary experience. From the moment we took the Catamaran and the Funicular, we were awe with the amazing views.

Being in this place is a total luxury. The amenities, the food and the service is by far the best! I enjoyed the warm welcome the moment we got out of the funicular.

We were not living here but came to the restaurant for lunch here. At first we ordered two vegetarian pastas but later realised that the tortellini or lady’s had egg, and we both do not eat egg.

Beautiful historic hotel completely renovated in simple, authentic, yet with all modern amenities (except TV in room).

I was there for 2 days (3 nights) for a team building event with my colleagues. It is our second visit as a team, although I was there a couple of weeks ago for another company event.

Rooms are simple but clean. Good shower. Air conditioner would be a welcome addition. Restaurant was nice and breakfast was good. Friendly and sufficient staff. Fantastic views. Reasonable prices.

During our visit in May 2024, our family had a great time and the hotel was great. With an interesting history, the hotel is family-run.

It was a very cosy hotel, it had very traditional cute deco in a really nice and quiet area. Yes, it is a 20-minute walk from the centre but very walkable since it is not on a hill.

The restaurant of the hotel blew my mind. We were looking for a relaxed place to enjoy some fondue with friends when we were recommended this.

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights in the Alpine family room. It was so cute and the beds were very comfy. The layout is very convenient for a family.

We didn’t stay there, only had a very nice lunch! But the rooms look all very nice and have been renovated (as they told us). The location, with your feet almost in the water, was amazing!

Food is great! 9/10 I had Beef hacktätchli with special cream sauce. It was nice, I gave nine because beef was a bit tough but flavors are good.

We had a fantastic experience at Seehotel Pilatus. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and set against the most amazing views of the lake and mountains.

What a fab hotel in a wonderful village full of charm and character. We stayed here on a coach holiday and the service was exceptional and the staff very friendly.

I had the most amazing dish here. The three of us ordered deer since it was the hunting season. The plate had at least 7 sides and everything was like fireworks of senses. Deliciously amazing 👏

I came to Giswil on a steam train from Interlaken. I had a bratwurst and bread with a beer as soon as I descended from the train.
