Clean, tidy and well organised rooms. Staff are very professional. There was a decent view of the Matterhorn from my room. The location is very convenient, less than a 15 minute walk from the train station. Breakfast was decent.

We found a good deal for this hotel on their website, two nights plus one free and a free upgrade to the 'deluxe Matterhorn view' room. The night we arrived, Zermatt got its "worst snow in 20 years", according to the hotel and our local tour guide. Despite this all of the hotel services still operated normally. During a several hour long power outage the next morning, breakfast (by candlelight) was still served. The room definitely deserves the qualifiers 'deluxe' and 'Matterhorn view', since the room was generally good sized and comfortable, had a little booth to sit in, a balcony with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, and a bathtub that was comfortably sized even for a tall person (6'4). Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, beyond what you can reasonably expect from a hotel. The restaurant downstairs serves some great food and offers the same high level of service. The location of the hotel is a little walk from the train station (~10 min), but right by other points of interest such as the Matterhorn Museum, the Pfarrkirche and several historic hotels. Others such as the many mountain gondolas and the Gornergrat Bahn are also reachable by foot within 15min or by bus, for which there's a stop right in front of the hotel.

Clean rooms, nice views, good location. Reservation and booking process/terms are onerous. We had a bad experience with cancellation policy: Hotel management takes position that the notice period "change or cancel 4 days before arrival" does not apply to the particular date to be changed or canceled, but to the the first day of the entire stay. This means if one wants to cancel a reservation for July 28, one can do so until July 23 if one only booked one day, but one would have to cancel before July 10 if you are staying from July 14-28. These would penalize long-term guests and seem to makes little sense from perspective of business or guests.

Perfect location with stunning views of the Matterhorn! Already in the morning at breakfast, you can see the mountain of the mountains! Very friendly staff and very clean! Also a visit to the restaurant old Zermatt is worthwhile! We will be back!

This hotel is great, the room facilities is very good, within 10 minutes walk to the railway station, in the city centre.
