Thank you silaa and nevil, you are such a good host! competent, trusting, helpfull and friendly! we had cooking-class with silaa and it was soooo delicious the rooms are amazing, basic for holydays and luxury for travellers as we are! very clean, with a/c or without! we recommend for 100%!

Nice and quiet atmosphere. Friendly owner and close to the beach. Clean cabins, yet do realize without aircon, the wooden cabin gets pretty hot (especially in April).

Good Place small size Cabanas, good only for couples. They not encourage Locals.

Very nice place the very helpful owners folds in 4 for vs make beautiful cabin fun with a superb mosquito net, since 3années that Lon comes to the Srilanka c the premiere that I see as great and and above all put without disturb NS in the super bed BRAVO the beach very very proce everything was perfect.

Loved it! Neville was super helpful and friendly, he had lots of good recommendations for us. Location is good, very close to food and beach (and big hotels with pools if the sea/weather is a bit disappointing). We spent a bit extra on the bigger cabin with A/C which was really worth it for a bit of extra space in the room and shower. Great place.

Basic, but quite comfortable. Hosts very helpful. Neighbourhood can have some rural noise, but part of the charm. Earplugs are helpful though.

The cabanas are great, we had a lovely stay and Nevil and silaa are lovely hosts. The room was well done and great value, its only a short walk to the beach and we recommend the food!

We reserved a cabana on booking the day we were arriving at Uppuveli. When we got there the owner told us he had forgotten to close the calendar so had to put us in a just finished cabana that was on the neighboring patch of land behind a wall. The cabana itself was perfect but still lacking finishing touches, no trash can, place to put toilet paper roll, mirror on the floor, some unfinished surfaces, no hooks or shelves for clothing. You could tell that it's gonna be really nice though. The biggest problem for us was the area around, which had no plants, just an empty lot and the wall to look at. The wall would be going down eventually once the building is finished. As this was our last place of the trip we decided to look elsewhere. The owner was very nice and gave us some suggestions. The place will surely be amazing once it's done. 5min to the beach.

Top place! Nevil and silaa are great hosts, we realy enjoyed the place and the food (fresh fish with the extraordinairy Silaa sauce! By the way can you send the recipe to me please… ;-) ) love you guys and we wish you all the best for the futur.

Very cozy place, good beds, no cockroaches, very nice and friendly owners, still and at the same time close to restaurants and the main road. Definitely recommended.

They are very cute cabins but still lacking some detail to finish, in a quiet place near the beach.

We stumbled upon Silaa Cabana after a very unsuccessful round of the other guesthouses in the area. Everything else we found was overpriced, unwelcoming and frankly shabby. We couldn't believe our luck when we found the Cabanas. They are so cosy, comfy and spotlessly clean. Most of all we appreciated that the hosts are trying to do something different and have really paid attention to detail when designing of the cabanas. They obviously know that budget doesn't have to mean ugly!
To top it all off we were so warmly welcomed by the hosts, they were so friendly and easy going and went out of their way to make us feel at home, cooked delicious meals and went above and beyond to help us sort out issues we had with booking travel to Colombo.
By far the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka and the perfect way to end our 3 weeks in there. Thank you so much guys, good luck with the Cabanas, I have no doubt you will do really well. And we will try our best to come back! x.

I accidentaly found this cabana in uppuveli and I was really surprised how cosy and beautiful this place was. The owners are super nice and helpful, the athmosphere is great and the rooms are very clean and stylish. The best place for me so far in Sri Lanka!
