The location is unique. The room, with private bathroom, was quite sufficient for the holiday (short trip) but would have done it even with a longer stay. The room and bathroom were clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly and it was, from the street, much quieter as I would have expected.

We were received there very friendly. The lady at the reception speaks German.

I would check in there at any time.

We were a week in Valencia for the Granoremio of MotoGP and to visit the city. We stayed at the El Cid Hostal. We had booked a room with a double bed and bathroom in the private room. We start from the merits: despite the high prices for the MotoGP week, the price was quite cheap compared to other solutions. The location is very good, allowing you to visit all the historical center and you arrive without problems both the station North for trains and the Xativa Metro stop (lines 3 and 5 that connect directly to the airport). The girl who welcomed us was very friendly and gave us so much information. The reception is open from 9am until late afternoon and a bunch of keys are left in order to get in and out at any time. The room was clean and daily housekeeping were done. The downsides are due to the very old structure, with very narrow ramps of stairs without lift, therefore not recommended to elderly people or with reduced mobility. The furnishings are very basic, without wardrobe but with shelves and drawers to store their clothes. There is no TV but there is still a good Wi-Fi connection. The bathroom in our room was micro, with the toilet wedged between shower and washbasin and no bidet.

On rare occasions I have had the joy of enjoying this place whose location seems ideal, since you have total discretion, without just noise, and a few meters from the areas most of Valencia.
Although over time, and after my last stay in high season, the room we were offered met with the following characteristics:
Two sachets of shampoo size sugar
Without gel sachets (but offered to compensate for a bar of SOAP in prison format or instead a community gel)
The shower tray is embozaba creating a blanket yellow, somewhat difficult to describe.
They have only two hand towels, in the event of a third party will be dry with a familiar towel or the toes.
Bathroom curtains had its own life and adhered to your body, as if it were a horror film.
The water of the bathroom to achieve an optimum temperature for the human being, was necessary between 30 minutes to 1 hour approx.
Heating whose operation was not explained at any time, and only those of NASA can figure out.
Not available wardrobe so I hope that the ground is clean enough (that was not the case)
If you wanted to load the mobile not could have on the nightstand lamp, since it had only a plug, for which you use your mobile as a bedside table lamp.
It does not have elevator by what I advise that you not carry too much luggage since your spine will thank you.

Central — > Yes. Midnight loudly pushing together, — take the tables and chairs of the 3 or 4 restaurants in this small lane. (Just eat anything from the wok to go. Super disgusting. ) We had room 202. Pretty tight and small. Beds okay, but takes getting used to. This room has a private bathroom. Unfortunately, it must be said almost. The drains have pathetic stunk. We were there 6 days, it was not even dressed. On November 2. Or I had cleared 3rd day the basin so that the "cleaning lady" can make it clean. Apparently he has forgotten it.
I found it not clean there, I've been to other Hostals in Spain and there was cleaned everyday and the beds made and so on. I know not why all write, it would be as clean as, that's not true at all. If you look closer, it's filthy. So what was the picture of our bed of admit. That has guaranteed never seen a feather duster. That is dusting traderjob also to clean image, filthy free make drains, (yuck) clean light switch, window cleaning (before every time the frame).
Maybe the stench of drain is also a city problem, because the entire old town has stunk to drain.

Fuimos a este hostal hace unos meses my novia y yo y nos ecanto mucho! Toda la gente era muy sympatica y tenian un gato muy mono!
La habitacion fue bastante limpia, amplia y bien luminosa!
Como esta justo en el carmen es genial para quedarse un fin de semana o aun unos dias mas=)
My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel some months ago and we had a great weekend. The receptionists are really friendly, the room was large and lighted and everything was perfectly clean. It´s located in the middle of "el carmen" and still not nearly as expensive as all the other Hotels around the city center.
