ATTENTION Fingers away from Iberostar — excessively overbooked: We have booked Iberostar Cala Barca via booking and received confirmation from both booking and hotel. Shortly before the start of the trip (no free cancellation possible) we learned via booking that the hotel is overbooked. We and booking have been trying to reach the hotel for hours. The management left a message to booking that they can only take care of this case from 15.08. Because the management is on vacation! What is this? We booked the flight from Linz to Mallorca on 14.08. And booked the hotel from 14. — 21.08. Unfortunately, it doesn't help us at all if the management doesn't want to take care of it until 15.08. We tried to call there again, came first to the booking center, who said that they did not know that any hotel of the Iberostar chain was overbooked. Then we got directly connected to the hotel and asked if we would get our rooms. The lady said, yes, the rooms are booked. Is that a joke now? We were a little confused as to why we were then informed by booking that they were overbooked and we would not get the room. The lady said that she had to inquire and then explained to us that they actually didn't have a room for us and that they could offer us another one, but at the other end of Mallorca. When asked to connect with the management, she said that they could do nothing for us! It could reconnect us to the headquarters.

After initially being put in a very poor room with many of the facilities missing that were promised by Jet2 we moved at a cost of £140. This aside (and I will be taking this up with Jet2 upon return) it's fantastic. A clifftop setting with stunning scenery and so many more treasures to find if you're willing to go for a little walk. Beware though, it can be tough on the legs. I'm 48 and consider myself fit for my age but stairs and an activity (Coasteering) that really put me through my paces and left me aching for the whole ten days. In no way a criticism, if you're a bit out of shape don't do that activity! Food is what it is, OK. You're never going to get what you get when you fly West so just get over it, if you're patient you can put yourself a pretty decent dinner together if you're like me you end up with pizza! Staff are amazing, so friendly; treat them with respect and you get it back in bucket loads. Entertainment, you cannot please all of the people all of the time but the team here really go out of their way to put on a good show every night, may not be your cup of tea all the time but there is a broad spectrum of people here so can't knock it at all. I would like a UK 80s disco every night but I doubt our German cousins would be so keen. Would I come back? Absolutely, now I've been here this is my go to place for a quick week away.

I recommend this club an exceptional service and a very nice welcome especially for families with children and I commend the initiative not to give straw systematically for cocktails for the protection of the oceans and marine animals.

Recommended For Families. It's a big Facility. Beautiful Bathing Bays in the immediate Vicinity. Delicious Food and beautiful spacious Family Rooms. You Can hike wonderfully along the rocky Coast. But! There are also negative things to report: The many Guests naturally want to be cared for, therefore, especially at Breakfast and Dinner the Restaurant crowded and quite noisy. This is then very turbulent. You have to like That. The Staff is very friendly, very anxious and courteous. Overall, a beautiful Facility.

We were here last Year and were more than thrilled. For us, there's no better Hotel than this one. You can eat off the Ground, so Sauber is! Staff accommodating and so something of friendly. You feel like a King in this Hotel! 4 Stars are definitely too little! Animation great, you were looking forward to it every Day. Food — much, much, much. Diverse — totally delicious and beautifully prepared. One was served everywhere and in between there was even a Refreshment by the Pool. LECKERE COCKTAILS, Class garnished. Rooms would also always be perfectly made Sauber, even under Sofa and Bed. A Dream Holiday hotel!

A perfect hotel if you come with children. Beautiful infra structures, the food is good, every day choice of fish or grilled meat more prepared dishes. In a beautiful setting of nature. Great beach at 20 '. Nice pool. Short of good VAC.

Great locale with tip top facilities and very clean rooms. A million pools to swim in and great fun for kids. Some customer service processes need fixed (e. G. Bell hop backups), food could be better and expect heavy crowds, however, all of this is the be expected at a place like this. Additionally, expect a large amount of noise pollution from the nightly shows in the central and surrounding areas of the club. If shows are not your thing consider only staying in the outskirts of the club or pick another option. Night times are all about the very loud show and many people here seem to come here just for that reason.

I came to Cala Barca a couple of years back in 2016 with family. The food was great, the rooms were fantastic and the staff were very helpful. There are many bars or restaurants to choose from with great customer service. It is a very family friendly place with lots of things to do! Tennis courts, a small football pitch, nice places to walk; pretty much something for everybody. The entertainment was fantastic in the week that we were there, everything from kids entertainment early night to bands playing later on, even having a much older gentleman going up on the stage to bust a move with them! The only real issue we had with the place is the 2.5 hour transfer and possibly how loud the entertainment was at night if you were staying in a room that was near to the stage. All in all, a fantastic holiday that I would highly recommend which has persuaded me to come back this June! See you in a month Cala Barca!

Beautiful complex, well located, the rooms well, clean, cons well for families with children but not for the couple that they want to calm at the level rooms I advise against the block 53 car located above the restaurant I recommend DS this establishment The suite or other apartment also very important the team this to say everyone is at your little care I will come back.

Very familiar and with activities of all kinds for the children. Especially for foreigners, but there are also Spanish families. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffets improved especially in the pizzeria where the pizzas were quite simple and without variety. Maybe I'll come back.

Very nice facility, are satisfied with everything. A point deduction is available for the long way to the great beach. Is a nice walk through the forest, but with two small children and luggage very strenuous.

It's Close to very good beaches, but has funny swimming pools inside. Rooms are good. Has 3 restaurants with some good food or pizza and chips. Bars are quite ok.

I'm a customer of years ago. Excellent service, almost personalized attention, beautiful facilities and integrated in the landscape. A small paradise for families with children… a great option to get lost in the wonderful coves of the natural park of Mondragó.

Oversized businiss idea trying to have it all… The result is slow Wi-Fi, food with no tast, drinks that Taste water and kids getting High on free Coca Cola and icecream… Some of The proffesionel staff saved our days… Mallorca can deliver much more in all aspects so why not take The responsibilty and make it happened…

Mine and my family's best vacation and place in the last 10 years. Will be back to IBEROSTAR in future again. The personnel are hard working people. They will do all the best to make your vacation/holiday as pleasant as possible and they doing it very well. 5 star.

Not top, lots of negative points, very noisy, access for the catastrophic strollers, evening entertainment nothing rare in non-existent day and not at all francophone, food no taste, cocktails very close not terrible, aircon in noisy room And that does not work well…
Very large hotel, from our room to restaurants on foot 7 minutes, there are golf carts but not enough for everyone so you are always on foot.
Frankly for the room rate I experienced much better.
I'm not going back to this hotel.

The hotel is Chulisimo! Very very good food! Beautiful pools with beautiful coves!
Drawbacks: The schedules are echoed for English and German, they are very strict, close at 2 noon… and wings 9 in the afternoon. All the restaurants, and party here forget about it, published exclusively German and English with 4/5 Spaniards dotted and wings 11:30 is everyone sleeping, a sad show at 9 and wings 11 everyone to bed, people with children and seniors. If you are young and I do not recommend you come here unless you are a glanders or have children and want peace of mind.

Visiting this hotel for the second time. Don't understand negative feedbacks. Of course, this hotel is mostly a family one, because almost all guests arrive with families and children. Huge territory, something like "private" beach (because 90% are hotel residents there), football field, 3 tennis courts, Wi-Fi all over the whole territory, including beach, tons of different food in three restaurants. Also all inclusive service type is available. My favourite hotel in Majorca.

Ideal location if you are looking for somewhere suitable for the whole family. There's several pools to choose from, although annoyingly, if you don't get to the pool early, all the sunbeds and shade are taken. If you like the beach, there's a beautiful covered beach, which is wonderful for snorkeling and for the more adventurous, rock jumping in areas. It wasn't overly busy so it makes for a great escape from the pool areas. Food is great. Cannot fault the variety and amount. Great salads, fresh grill area, pasta etc. There's also a choice of different places to eat. Although the main restaurant took a day or two to get used too, but once you become accustomed to the size and the amount of people and the fact that food is constantly refreshed, it becomes less intimidating. The entertainment was fantastic. There's always something going on. It's been the best we've ever had on holiday. The entertainment crew really work hard and are amazing people. As for the rooms. Our aircon wasn't as good as we were expecting, however it was better than not having any at all. The rooms were cleaned daily although if you want clean sheets, you need to leave a note for the cleaning team, which isn't a negative necessarily. The only negatives I would say is 1. The air-conditioning in the restaurants is not very good. 2. Beware of broken glass near/around pool areas. The amount of glasses being broken was concerning seeing as there's a large amount of people walking around barefoot.

The complex is large and spacious. There are 3 swimming pools, one of which is dedicated to activities. The rooms are air-conditioned. You can directly access a small cove with a small sand square. The staff are friendly and smiling. The food is good. We will return.

Maximum of 3 stars, very crowded… OK that was shown in the details must be renovated times… will only have painted! The cocktails are consistently bad cheaper alcohol, and it too much, here is no experience in cocktail mixing to recognize! Too bad here, I would no longer book. Price performance poorly! I see that here such as Viva can Picafort, there we were at the end of may last year and it was much better!

We went in may, the animation apart from bad and boring era for foreigners. The night in English and also shows the games, as well as the schedule for meals. Many pools, many restaurants, many bars. Cocktails are standard fair for large resorts, not excellent, but generous with the measures. Plenty of space and loungers, but could be the time of year. More families with young children than expected, but again possibly the time of year it was. Visited in mid May, weather was warm but the resort wasn't crowded or busy. Free upgrade to a family sized room was nice.

The place was absolutely heaving and not particularly nice. It was so busy on our visit that it actually ruined the whole reason for going away… to relax. You have to fight for sun loungers as every single one is reserved from 7am by people that don't even use them, fight around the food serving areas like some sort of animal, fight for a table once you've got your food, fight for a chair at the bars, fight for space in the pools and generally make your way through crowds constantly. On top of this, it took us well over an hour to even check in in the first place as it was so busy and our room wasn't ready. When we actually got to our room, it was not what we were expecting. We demanded that we get our room changed as parts of it were filthy, parts of it in disrepair and smelt badly of mould. We've stayed at other Iberostar hotels and have been really impressed… we're not complainers either but this place needs a serious rethink about cramming everyone in over their experience. If you're going to cram em in, get the public spaces to accommodate them all.

The best hotel where I ever was, it is huge in size and it even has a supermarket and even more shops. You even get every day a teaterstück played. There are 3 coktailbaren and 3 resturants and much more. Of course, there are also swimming pools without end. (Best for families).

Great resort — no — almost their own city. With very extensive sports and entertainment for the entire family! Clean, friendly, spacious — only a little secluded (but suitable for it to rest — not so much for Ballermann-party people-suitable).

Main reason for one star: my skin was infected due to hair removal treatment in Spa in Iberostar Cala Barca. I have tried to contact the hotel but when I got an answer they basically ignored all the facts I've given them. My advice: go somewhere else. Summary of all things that we didn’t like: — Quality of food in restaurants. Truly really low quality. — Spa. Have still skin infection two weeks after vacation. — Don’t get replies from the hotel when trying to contact them because of this — Noisiness. Not a chance for peace and quiet — Setting of some of the rooms — Airconditioning not working — Ants and mosquitos in room — Room smelled funky.

Good staff and good complex and I enjoyed teaching Italian for them.
