I couldn't have had a better experience at Sungate one. I came to Madrid not knowing a soul and left feeling like I had a second family. They have great daily activities and nightly group outings so you'll never be bored. Free dinners and the churros in the morning are amazing! The staff here are the best people you'll ever meet. If you come across any issues they go above and beyond for you. This place is great for everyone but especially if you're traveling alone I HIGHLY recommend staying!

Amazing hostel with great staff and location. Totally recommended. They bake many nice cakes and include everyone in their activities which is amazing for solo travellers as well. Great spirit. I was amazed by the staff and their hospitality. They would go the extra mile for you to get sure that you are feeling comfortable and enjoying and give lot of helpful tips.

Great hostel with amazing staff and great facilities. But the location takes the pot. Right at the center, with dinner and churros for breakfast. Very recommended. The staff knew were we should go and have a volunteer scheme that makes them very nice. Been to a few hostels already and this is one of the best. Once again Hostel one chain proves it's worth. Great hostel. Breakfast and dinner include for free (tips are welcome). People are nice and every night there are drinking games and people going out. One thing that could be better is that the beds don't have individual courtains, I missed that.

Whenever I fell bored while I am exchange student in Madrid, I often visit this hostel even though I have my own room. Because this hostel is better than my room with respect to location, be located in central nearby plaza de sol and every night party and Churros at every morning. And also can get well with nice friends from many different kinds of country. Moreover I prefer bottom bed between double deck beds, but there is only single bed.

You should go stairs 2nd or 3rd floor But the warm of staff and the cool atmosphere make you want to live there.

In the heart of Madrid, close to everything. Very welcoming and you can feel comfortable despite being always in contact with strangers, even of many different nationalities. Staff are super friendly and always available, for any information and at any time. They organise movie sessions, evenings and much more to make the most of your stay. Clean bathrooms, big rooms and in general all well kept, for the price then it really is a gift. I would definitely stay here again! (More suitable for young people than families…)

What can I say about this Hostel? Fuckin’ awesome!

Great hostel in the heart of Madrid. Stayed for one night, but was a very good experience. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean. They had dinner and breakfast for everyone staying at the hostel. Great to connect with the others! Mattress was too soft for me, but that’s personal preference. Price was ok for what they offered. All in all I can recommend this hostel!

Awesome staff who have me feel comfortable and at home during my stay. They go extra miles in helping. The hostel is such a social place where guests get breakfast and dinner for free. It also organizes free walking day tour to nearby Segovia and Toledo and night walking tour to pubs. Such a lovely and lively place to stay at. My home away from home. The best hostel, travel alone and make you feel super welcome! You give super good advice from the ligqares nearby and the hostel itself is spectacular! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms are a dream, the best naps to take in the cinema room and the rest of common areas with pleasant! The best!

I loved the place, very tidy, fun and accessible. The people were very nice and friendly, the bathrooms were comfortable and the beds also. My only complaint is that one of the guys working there was really nasty with my friend and I, as well as with other people in the place.

Hostel was lovely and very well located. It has all kinds of services such as kitchen, dining room, computers for personal use, cinema… The rooms are well soundproofed on the outside but not the inside, so if you tap near the reception you're going to hear all of the conversations.

Nice and active hostel, always something going on, trips to Segovia and Toledo, Dinner, Parties in the city and international people around. It is clean and modern. It can be a bit more noisy at the rooms with window to the main street however, it is super central what is included with that.

Great hostel with modern, clean rooms and facilities. Light breakfast and dinner are provided completely free and both are delicious. The hostel is located in the heart of Madrid, in walking distance of many attractions as well as a main hub station on the metro. But the best part are the staff! All are so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. There is a bar crawl each night and a picnic on Sunday's — the atmosphere in the hostel is great, so it's hard not to meet people. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

This is the best hostel I have stayed at so far. Sure it's not the most economic option, but it is located in a very nice, central area, it's very clean and most importantly the environment is amazing. The staff is organizing activities (such as dinners, karaoke, parties-even one-day-trips to nearby cities) daily to bring the people visiting closer, which is a great way to meet more travellers. Nonetheless, order and quiet is kept!

It's one of the best hostels I ever stayed. The rooms and bathrooms are always clean and the common spaces are very cozy. The staff is very helpful, friendly and inclusive. There are free snacks for breakfast and every night they cook free dinner for everyone before going out for a random social event in the city. They also organize paid day tours segovia and toledo. It's not cheapest hostel, but definitely worth the experience.

One of the best hostels that I have ever stayed! People (the staff and most of the guests) are very friendly, social and mature. Super great location. Lots of fun activities organized by the hostel and the guests. I have met many potentially life-long friends during my stay here. From the morning breakfast to the nights out, Angel the manager and all the guys who help at the hostel make they're best to make you feel like you're hanging out at your best friends' place. This is not just a hostel. It's your family. The rooms with 4 people, it's nice. Moreover the showers and toilets are in proper condition. You will never be bored.

I canceled my reservation AND have proof and they charged me anyways! I am super annoyed! No one responds! Be careful with them. I would not stay here!

Best trip ever! Was with 3 friends and we had the best time ever! The personal are really friendly and every evening they make something so it isn't suprising that I was drunk a lot of the time When I go to madrid the next time, I will stay again in this hostel!
