Very comfortable kingsize bed, and spacious room with luxurious fittings.

Very clean, great service, breakfast was delicious! We enjoyed it very much! Would definitely recommend and will stay again next time we visit Madrid!

After 3 trips to Madrid on the last 18 months I felt compelled to write this review. This hotel is excellent. Rooms are comfortable clean and functional. The service is EXCELLENT. I think it has been improving from my last trip. The terrace is a nice place to hangout finally the breakfast is a must to have. If you love food as I do you are not going to be desapointed.

A hotel of 10. I was hosted for work and I was comfortable. On the outskirts of Madrid, not easy access to metro and light metro. Good catering service and kitchen, very good room.
Highly recommended.

I loved this hotel. Room was excellent and kept to that high standard every day of my stay. Welcome to the hotel by doormen and reception was outstanding. Only ate in the restaurant at breakfast which was fresh and delicious each time, freshly squeezed OJ is a simple but brilliant touch that I’m my experience does not happen in 2 many places. Lastly the bar where we spent some time is highly recommended and a big shout out to the exceptional Gloria who served us over tonight’s. Will go back to stay here any time I’m back in Madrid Gracias.

Good hotel as you would expect from a 5 star but nothing spectacular. I feel the hotel lacked a lot of charm and character. The rooms and corridors were very gloomy. The room was small and you only just about had enough room to manoeuvre round. The breakfast was OK but very expensive. There is a concierge to help with your luggage. The location of the hotel is about a 30 min scenic walk to Gran Vía and the Real Madrid stadium. The airport is roughly 15 min a cab ride.

Great hotel, friendly and professional human treatment, very good breakfast, the quality of the buffet and the egg part etc, which is a la carte and prepared at the moment. The rooms are not very large but very well equipped and very clean, in summary great and to return.

We hired the private night visit to the Lázaro Galdiano Museum, with dinner included in the hotel, with live jazz music. An experience that we really enjoyed. Highly recommended.

This is a great hotel. The thoughtfully designed rooms are beautifully furnished with high quality fittings. I particularly liked that the bathroom can be opened up into the bedroom with a sliding door. The restaurant was excellent too and reasonably priced, though the buffet breakfast was disappointing for the price. I would definitely return.

This hotel is absolutely amazing. The staff are extremely helpful. The bars aroun the hotel are wonderful especially The Meat House Grill and Bar. If you go visit there say hello to Danielle the bartender.

A 5 star Gem, The Barcelo is located in the fashionable Salamanca district, while not at the city center (Centro District), it is a short taxi or Metro ride away. The Hotel itself is one of the best I stayed in, the Suite was well appointed, Modern and has a hugh balcony overlooking parts of the city. Above all the service was excellent, quick, helpful and very accommodating. All in all, highly recommended.

Very nice hotel, situated in the heart of Madrid. All aspects of the hotel are excellent. Room was modern and comfortable. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Very nice hotel — rooms provided a great way to relax into Madrid. Not too crowded and it was relatively quiet.

We had a dinner at the restaurant and it was really good. The service was really really nice, the food very good and the price quite reasonable. Very recommended specially the seafood rice and the croquetas.

Beautiful, new, design rooms, very clean and well maintained, with lovely quality and comfort details. Big bathtub with a kind of window-door to the bed, separate shower and wc, balcony with table and chairs, kettle… Very attentive and friendly personnel. You can pick your pillow type. :) Room service was very good, food was delicious. Can't wait to try the breakfast — I'm sure to be delighted. The hotel is pretty, confortable, modern and clean. Has a gym and a tiny pool on the top floor.

Everything you could ask for cleanliness is like new. Staff friendly courteous but very professional, good walk to get to the central attractions, but underground trains just 200 mts away just a couple of stops and you are in the vibrate city with shops, street music, street entertainers, and the famous sites. Advantages for the hotel it is on the edge of the above, but is quiet and less disturbed. Only comment didn't book breakfast and at €27.5 a bit expensive. € 20/22 we would have taken it every morning.

You could not think of a better name? The Spanish empire´s history is, how to say it, infamous.

The food is stupendous, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the room very clean and with modern features, such as a usb port by the side of the bed. However, what makes this hotel special is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble and their attention to details breathtaking. I ate twice in the restaurant, each time having balsamic vinegar with my bread. On the third day I ordered room service, and guess what, I got sent up balsamic vinegar/olive oil too,,, now thats attention to detail! When Im in Madrid for business, this will be my hotel of choice without doubt.

Its location is fantastic, very accessible to the paseo de Castellana. It is a hotel that would earn much with a simple reform as a modern touch would bring him much. Good service and clean.

Very good location, close to the Serrano Street, but hotel needs urgent renovation, see it worn. Although the temperature outside was nice, the a/c didn't work well, the reason is that the change of season, hotel regulates the temperatures of the c. October 1, 2013.

I stand by what has already been said above; At the reception have a pimping attitude, the toilets are dirty, one of the lights in my room was cast in the TV, although there are some international channels are not those of the DTT.
In general it is not a 4 star hotel.
