Unchanged Savannas. Very Justita Cleaning. Very Central and cheap, but I think that should not be impediment to at least be able to sleep in some clean sheets. I will Not return or recommend to save a few euros.

Cheap and now. There's no better way to define it. The stay was correct for the price we paid. Recommended if you go right out of money and need to spend a night there.

The room was very small but comfortable. Reasonable price, as it can not be in better location… Recommended!

When I walk into a room darker than the ass a cricket even at 3 in the afternoon, in the that open a window onto a dismal courtyard and just below there is a fireplace whose smoke enters the room 24 hours a day, I thought I wouldn't mind too much smoking inside the room. So I smoked, and with careful to do this in the window through which came the smoke, but the charge sniffed and came to my room pasting voices and amenazandome, without stop shouting in no time, put a warning in the Booking that was where I caught the reservation, without having since I no resistance. There are ways more civilized than to ask a person not to smoke. Very maleducada and arrogant lady. Other than that, the hotel is far below the average that I have trodden, I will not put neither a measly coffee with water pal breakfast, but you must keep in mind that it is in the center of Madrid, and for that price I was surprised that the bed outside fairly comfortable.

I would like to highlight the loud noises especially of other tenants. The staff doesn't do much to avoid it either. Otherwise good location and value for money.

The location couldn't be better, the staff is great but the rooms aren't that good, walls are too thin and you can hear too much noise, they were doing some works at the building and you could here the drilling too loud. But afterall for the price I paid I'm happy, as I said the location is the best, right in the city center, where all the shops are.

To be a hostel on the Gran Via, this very good price, the best the views you have from the terrace, is a space that is always open, has a machine to buy drinks but you can also take yours and enjoy a good time of the sky and the views of Madri D, Tip: Go up at night, spectacular.

Excellent location on Gran Via and opposite Callao station. Located in old building without much renovation, but with lift.

Clean pieces. If you go in winter the heating too high, the attention is good. Located in excellent v form in large via full shopping area there is no Q walking almost anything all close by. The piece only had 2 plugs nowadays with so many electronic gadgets it gets complicated. My piece didn't have a closet.

It is located in a strategic site, with exit to Gran Via. You can't ask for much more from a hostel, it was clean and the service nice, we were treated well and an economic price to be the center of Madrid. If you go to sleep I recommend it.

Good location and good personal.

The best thing about this hostel is the location, ideal for those who want to go around the city all day and just get to rest. I do not recommend it in extended stays as it does not provide additional services and the area itself is quite expensive to go out to eat all the times outside.

My experience at this hostel was good, the staff really is super friendly and friendly. The room was very cold. To spend some night in Madrid is a good option at an affordable price.

Great location, ideal to spend a night or two if you plan to stay out all day walking. It does not have the basic comforts of a hotel but they have good predisposition.

Excelente ubicacion, en el corazon del centro de Madrid, cerca de las principales tiendas, teatros, restaurantes para todos los presupuestos, atracciones turísticas, a la estación del Metro, buses etc. Quedé encantada con el servicio del hotel, el personal muy atento y el precio es realmente muy bueno. Volveríamos a hospedarnos allí, aunque hay que hacer la reserva con bastante anticipación, según las fechas porque tiene mucha demanda. Muy recomendable.

Hostal Helena has two floors at this same address and they function as separate hostels. The one on the 9th floor has a nice terrace that overlooks the plaza Callao and the Gran Vía and it's not accessible to the guests on the 2nd floor. The room for three was spacious and I requested inside bathroom, which was tiny but very clean as it was the whole place. The room is basic 3 beds (1 double and 2 twins) two fans, no A/C. Except for the three steps at the entrance downstairs, there's a slow elevator that takes only 4 people at a time. The building is an old one but the plus side of this place isn't how pretty and modern it is but the location it offers plus free Wi-Fi. Across from Metro station Callao and a five minute walk to Puerta del Sol or Plaza España. A hop to Corte Inglés and Chocolatería Valor. Good for the price of you don't mind the no frills rooms.

Awesome place stay at night … right in center. For shopping lovers it's a best at reasonsble price. Many historic places are walkable distance… I highly recommend this place.

I would repeat without thinking. It has been a very pleasant stay. In the photos you can see the views of the terrace.

The photos are different from the reality, lack of maintenance and the staff lied to me on a parking lot called "free" that I had to pay € 20 for 7h! To avoid.

Small room that in my case faced an interior patio without air conditioning. Would never go back.

Terrible, if you forget one thing in your room and call the same day to pick it up, they tell you it's fine, you can go get it, and when you're there they tell you they threw it away since they didn't think it is valuable enough… very sketchy…

Was a cool place right in the city centre and close to several interesting places to see.

Great location. The facility is quiet okay. The rooms are neat and clean. Only downside is that we couldn't use the kitchen.

A hostel with a pretty good value for money. Despite being an old building it was very clean although the bed was a bit awkward and had no closet. The location is excellent and the views of the terrace one pass, just opposite Callao. The staff were also very friendly.

A very nice and cheap hostel right in the Centre. The rooms have beds, no bunk beds, and a bathroom itself. Staff was quick and friendly upon arrival, providing hostel and room keys. Includes towel.

Never answer the phone, when I arrived they were work and they not warned, so I wanted to change the hotel but they not return me the money. Regrettable.

ICH versuche seit mehr als 15 Tagen eine Reservierung zu machen. Sie waren sehr unfreundlich am Telefon. ICH wollte bezahlen und sie nicht wie heerlijk.
Worse service, staff unprofessional and they were not able to make a booking via telephone. Wanted to pay and failed to make the reservation, they asked several times that help me and at the end as a response pulled me the phone. If the service is so for a reservation as it will be the service of the hotel.

Veritable hovel — we can visit only advise against! Already with the arrival we had an uneasy feeling. In the dark hallway we rang the bell in vain several times at the door, until we have a really bad-tempered owner opened the door and we unfriendly and taciturn check-in was. The shower is so small that it can't turn over. There is besides a bedside table, no storage space. The Wlan / Wifi did not work. In General, correspond to the photos of the owner, not the actual impression.
