Veritable hovel — we can visit only advise against! Already with the arrival we had an uneasy feeling. In the dark hallway we rang the bell in vain several times at the door, until we have a really bad-tempered owner opened the door and we unfriendly and taciturn check-in was. We had to immediately for the entire stay pay, but the room on request before viewing. The Hostal has a dark ambience. The walls are like paper; you can hear everything and everyone, especially the neighbors and the noise of the streets in Madrid on Gran Via and never comes to rest. We have three nights in room 2 spent. The space is in urgent need of refurbishment – the plaster is crumbling from the walls. The air conditioning is broken, it will hang the cable out. The heating can not be rules. The light flickered on, even after turning Off the whole night, what a stümperhafte electrical installation zurückschließen. Three lamps was broken. The shower is so small that it can't turn over. There is besides a bedside table, no storage space. The Wlan / Wifi did not work. The connection quality was bad and our Laptop got no IP address assigned (according to the error message). The terrace was not furnished, such as photos of the owner in the Internet looks like. In General, correspond to the photos of the owner, not the actual impression. Positive: the view from the terrace is nice, you can actually see the Gran Via and the Plaza de Callao and the local Drive. The Hostal is very Central, directly at the shopping street of Calle de Preciados. The cleanliness was in order. The bed was made every day and the trash can was emptied. After two days we got new towels. However, it was not well swept. Conclusion: Only to Sleep in a Central location o. K. But for the price you can get much more expect. Alternative: cheap Youth Hostels.
