Reviews of Apartamentos Puerta Del Sol I 3*
Excellent attention, beautiful views of history and pleasant.
Excellent place, recommended, historic, Spain a great country
— Terpolilli Carlos.
The good atmosphere and the perfect good security for a wonderful family evening from Madrid to the sky.
Very fun place with lots of shops and a very infamous town square with lots of tourists and things to do. We did a Segway tour through here and enjoyed the place very much. There is also a bunch of bars and restaurants in the area so you can choose wherever you want to go!
A must see in Madrid. Very nice area for shopping and eating local delicacies. I recommend you spend at least half day there and explore the restaurants in the area. The kids loved the place and had fun too.
It the center of Madrid as well as a sample of Spain. On one side you see Apple Store and the other side you find Vodafone Store. In the middle two beautiful fountains And the statue of the kind. The most attractive part is the open air shows which take place there by different groups of youth. Visit it after sunset and enjoy walking there…
Excelent! An absolutely exciting place. I always return with joyful soul.
It's a beautiful place with nice shops around it and pretty much right in the center of Madrid. At night the plaza is packed with teenagers and other party goers and there is always something to do and someone to talk to. In the evening there are people in costumes and so on putting up shows all around. I was forced to stay at the Puerta del Sol because my flight got delayed but I had no problem spending 4 or 5 hours just walking around and checking out stores and alleys. There are many clubs near by. Although I'm an apple hater the apple store was very nice and had some historic info about the building all around it. The only disappointment was that there was no door at the Puerta Del sol and some people looked very suspicious especially the homeless people scattered all around the place. All in all very nice place to go would recommend.
I was strolling around on the calm, quiet and small streets near Puerta del Sol, and then I just so happened to take a street that led directly to the plaza (Puerta del Sol). It was like discovering another city! It was so lively, energetic, and full of people. Some people just hung around, others performed in music or sports or even in Disney costumes. It was a nice experience especially because of the pizza places nearby, where you can buy thick slices of pizza for only 1€.
Beautiful square, ample space for walking. They branch out many characteristic ways. On the side of the Post Office building, nestled in the floor you will find the point "0". This place is the point of reference for Spain's road network from which distances are measured in kilometres on all national roads. Just at that point, then, is the 0 km, identified as Origen de las Carrateras radiales of Spain. In the square there is a metro stop, taxi rank and bus stop.
The square symbol of Madrid, the place you should not miss especially if you are with friends and if you want to spend an evening among the locals. There are numerous nightlife venues, restaurants and even street performers of all kinds. Remember not to sit on the blocks on the sides of the square…
In the heart of Madrid, a leisure mecca, sit in the sun, look at the pigeons, take a picture with the street artists, go to the blood donation car to donate blood, blood fight in the next British company, tired in the bar for a beer, with snacks, well, a perfect day.
The Puerta del Sol is the center of the capital, we can say that it is the engine of Madrid so much that it is frequented by animators, moreover, it is a place full of activities where one finds a great pleasure to discover it! All roads lead to Puerta del Sol.
The most lively place in Madrid where you have to go without hesitation, the nerve center, place of appointments and meetings. The point 0 of roads, of all roads…
A must-have place in Madrid. It's up to you to choose your path. Monument building. Go for a walk on the terrace even if the drinks are more expensive than elsewhere. But the view is worth the detour.
One of the most famous places in the city of Madrid. Door that allowed to return to Madrid in the 15th century. Originally there was a sundial, hence its name. It is also a gathering place for the various events. The Puerta del Sol has become a symbol of struggle. It is in this place that a multitude of people come together on 31 December to celebrate the end of the year. This is also where the famous sign of TIO Pepe is located. In the Center is the monument of King Carlos III. Overlooks many pedestrian streets.
If you well, is not really a door, if it is a meeting point for all kinds of people. There is a lot of activity, clothing stores and shopping malls, how the English Court. Within the plaza, ubicaras the kilometer zero and also the symbol of the city of Madrid. It is easy to reach by metro and is sure to be a place in which you like to see happen to so many people. Insurance is one of the 10 places you have to visit in Madrid, olé!
The Heart of Madrid. Very crowded. The Police are constantly chasing black merchants. It'S not safe.
Day of sun in the Puerta del Sol. Shopping, dining and meals. Good walks in the capital and a lot of activity. The eve of San Isidro, the city was beautiful, safe and full of leisure. We were able to enjoy a good environment in the street. Choose public transport and leave the car in the parking lot was a success. Madrid is going well. Congratulations to the citizens of Madrid.
Square emblematic of Madrid, more acts that are performed by the same square in if. The more outstanding the chimes the end of the year. Step on the km 0 (where they start all the races in the direction of Spain). Around bars, restaurants, shopping centre and shops around. The plaza in if not call the attention.
A Landmark place in Madrid. It is a Must to visit, because this area is considered the soul of Madrid. Here is the watch that all of Spain looks forward to in anticipation of the New Year. Here you can see the symbol of Madrid-the statue of the bear-and pat it, making a wish. Always crowded. Wonderful.
Lively square bustling with tourist all around the world. Lots of options for shopping, foods, bars, restaurants etc. Very big metro station underground. Very beautiful especially in the night. A must visit place in Madrid. Many streets around the Seward has fantastic food and drink options.
Good place in Madrid. Centrally located and well connected. The square is a perfect meeting place to explore the city from here. Plaza Major, the Royal Palace and Retiro Park are within walking distance. Various shops nearby and Gran Via complete the picture.
For the typical photo in the km 0 and with the clock of the bottom of the chimes of the end of the year. Also with the Bear and the Strawberry tree. Easy to get to and from where you can catch the tourist bus. A lot of trade around, and central. The bad thing, you have to be attentive to your bags because there are a lot of laja loose.
The idyllic and historic puerta del sol that all the world knows by the chimes of the new year. It is a place great, that is connected with metro, bus and taxis, next to Callao and Gran vía, only a few minutes walk, also in the side streets are el corte inglés, Fnac, ice cream shops, coffee shops, lottery, etc. Is a plaza with shows almost always and with a lot of life, ideal to sit 5 minutes to admire the hustle and bustle of Madrid.
It is one of the main squares of Madrid that you inevitably have to visit, the nerve center of the city, but in part of all of Spain, from here take origin all the main roads of the nation, is located in the center and close to many attractions, local, Shops… It is a big square very frequented especially by guys who bring themselves into play by dancing creating the group of people around. Inside the square there is the statue symbol of Madrid or that of the bear with the strawberry tree (you will also find it on the emblem of the city) symbol of fertility.
Here is the 0 km where all the km of Spain are counted. Here is the oldest and most scenic place: The Casa de Correos, originally a post office, now home to administrative offices, with the famous clock tower.
The famous Bear and mushroom statue is located here. There is a huge central place where football team celebrations happen. This place is always crowded so take care of ur purse! There are top notch shopping streets around this Plaza. It is also the starting point for many walking tours (both free and paid) in the city of Madrid. There are also many souvenir shops and food out lets around. Must visit when in Madrid.
Huge square, where all the main streets of Madrid converge. Full of people and natural meeting point for various popular initiatives. Important palaces and large shops.
It prevails however the commercial aspect on the artistic one-historical.
You choose your itinerary from this beautiful place… boutiques, architecture, monuments, plazas… than happiness.
It is the starting point for every Spaniard. Famous square where in addition to gather all kinds of tourists you can find artists of all levels.
A lot of people at every hour, walk not to be missed with important shops.
To recommend absolutely.
Very interesting, beautiful, noisy area of Madrid. Here is the zero kilometer of Spain, a monument-symbol of Madrid-Medveditsa near the strawberry tree. On the square of the citywide Tussovka day and night. What you don't see here! A Lot of thieves, keep an eye on bags and purses. Tsiganki try to repay and demand to gilka a handle!
For starters, the metro getting there was so easy, I couldn't believe it! As for the place itself was very touristy. You can take that how ever you'd like but it was kind of cool seeing people from different places in Spain and also around the world. One thing I have to say about this place is that you cannot be shy and you have to love to dance. There is so much going on it is hard to wrap your head around. If you are looking for a more Spanish cultural experience, I'd recommend traveling outside of Sol. Just outside Sol there are a lot of shopping spots. I was there for three nights and I could not complain. It was a great time!
There's nothing worth making people look good. There is only a mess of all kinds of so-called human art.
Lively public square with restaurants, pubs, discos, cafes, shopping malls, street artists performing etc. One stop shop for all entertainment needs! But since its a tourist spot, prices are a bit inflated! The streets are Paved and the lighting is beautiful at night! People gather here to just relax chit chat and enjoy the ambience all around. Great place to unwind after a hard days work!
A lot of the world during an Easter weekend. This is a historic and tourist place that deserves better development.
Very crowded. Point Zero can be photographed here.
The location is the best you can find — central Madrid. I mean the center of the central Madrid. You are on 15 minutes walking from almost every place that you would want to visit. The therase of the apartment 5 is big. Minuses — ultra small bathroom, 5th floor no elevator.
A nice place in Madrid this is an unmissable appointment visited during the week because the weekend these are thousands of young people who invade it for my part it is necessary I go.
Really great I loved it too well and it's super beautiful in addition to the kids it's cool although it's very touristy and there are Pocket pics it's good! I really liked it very much.!
Nice and crowded place but at night its more beautiful. Nice and Beautiful place and surroundings, amazing place. Full of history and culture, amazing food near that place. Very easily accessible by metro. Highly recommend if u like to see the history of Spanish and Roman empire. There are many other attractive places around the corner. I am sure you will love it if u r in Madrid and wants to enjoy some free time.
Always a crowded place. No matter the day or time of day.
Sol used to be one of the more unsafe areas to wander around, but thanks to Big Brother and the Old Bill (nice way to say police). No, really, it’s a nice way. We Brits even had a TV series called, The Bill. Anyway, it’s a lot safer, but still … please don’t tempt the thieving buggers. Don’t dangle your expensive cameras or phones in front of them. Sol is safer, but the streets that they can follow you through, hold no guarantee of a similar level of safety.
Very crowded. Great atmosphere. I believe this has also been the scene for some popular movies out there. One of them notably, Quantum of Solace, 007. All in all, the experience of being there was great, great preserved buildings. Very traditional in its own right.
The Purte del Sol is the centre of historic Madrid. The name comes from the eastern gate, dating back to the fifteenth century. The gate was probably named after the Sun, hence the name Puerta del Sol or "Sun Gate". The present appearance of the semi-oval square was created in the nineteenth century.
In the middle of the Puerta del Sol is a large equestrian picture of King Carlos III. Installed in the year 1997. The king looks at a house dating back to the eighteenth century, made of red bricks, the Casa de Correos. It was built in the year 1768 as the city's main post office, according to a design by the architect Jacques Marquet. The bell tower was built in the year 1866. Today, the building is the regional government of Madrid.
The Puerta del Sol is also the site of the most famous landmark of Madrid, the statue "el Oso y Madroño el". The bear symbolizes the fertile ground of Madrid and the tree the aristocracy.
Espacioda and very busy. Have a lot of energy of Madrid and to the international one. It is congested a lot of traffic and it is best to take a taxi up the avenue and not within the square. The night is restless and insecure. At least on the weekends. There are pickpockets. There are also some sites for fast food open night. At christmas it is very cute.
The centre of Madrid, recommended to visit the kilometer zero, the bear and strawberry tree of Madrid and the emblematic tio Pepe that we have changed site. It is easily reachable with metro line one (blue), two (red) and three (yellow), in addition to near. Has the first the corte inglés and gran via close to, so that's a good place for sightseeing and shopping.
Centar Dogadjanja! Center of the city! Really nice and very big! Very nice place ☺ ️
The square is lively, but pay attention to pickpockets. Especially on weekends, when paying attention to street artists or walking alone on the road.
Beautiful square in Madrid. You must necessarily visit. Very large, immense spaces. There are many trendy shops around. Captivating the performances of street performers, which attract several tourists. There is the bear with the strawberry tree and the statue of the king.
Place you must visit in Madrid, an emblematic site of the city. Although a lot of trickster disguised as Mickey or any other thing and many ladronzuel@s of this… have to walk with care through this area. The bag is well supported. We miss more police presence. Although the site is wonderful. The confectionery the largest quina wonderful, you need to try their wonderful neapolitan chocolate!
Many people, the square is very small, in fact, is a subway interchange square, there is a department store on the side, McDonald's KFC and so on. Square all kinds of life, is a kind of city well taste bar.
The place in itself is nothing special. But next to it are both shopping street and cool beautiful neighborhoods.
Populated because it is the ideal point from which to move easily.
Nothing more.
Beautiful environment without a doubt, made lively by street performers and animators disguised as cartoons to entertain children and adults.
But it is a place in which we will not focus for more than a few minutes.
Just enough time to quickly admire the significant statue of the bear and strawberry tree, rest a bit and start again.
Wanted to meet Novyjgod 2018, but it is not safe. The crowd is like the Petersburg subway at rush hour. 28.12 and 29.12 just came there in Corte Ingles, looked and decided to better in the restaurant to meet Ng. The square of the impression was not produced. The famous bear sculpture was hardly found.
Perfect location But the apartment could be better. It has No elevator and the stairs to climb are very complicated. A baby cart or a person with certain characteristics would have it difficult to climb, and not tell you to go down. The apartment is fine, decent. But the photos of other webs are taken from strategic angles that Desvirtua a little reality. Small apartment with a cafa sofa in the living room kitchen. All in one. Very small bathroom or very large sink because to get out of the shower there is not much mobility. Clean and well decorated. It has heating and air conditioning because since this in bar area you can not sleep with the window open by the noise in the wee hours of the morning. 'd be back? Well, maybe if I keep young and intend to get out of the way if. For rest, work or nights of passion No.
Emblematic place of Madrid. Has improved a lot since that was restricted to traffic and restored the buildings. View bound in Madrid to meet the famous zero kilometer, and the clock of the chimes. A much-visited place that deserves to be visited in a quiet time like the holidays first time. It is located in the historical and commercial centre, being an ideal place both for shopping and tapas.
Excellent location, convenient for everything, at 50 meters from Puerta del Sol, and in a neighborhood full of life, but you can still rest quietly, right space that indispensable, the owner of the house really very kind, we have for the keys and no problems has us Changed the lock shined! I recommend it.
Great architecture, culture, food and people. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff at the Hotel Europa where I stayed. Good restaurants about a 3 minute walk away and the shopping district is easily accessible using the Metro. The only downside was the Metro instructions were hard to understand as the English option didn't work on the ticket machines, but that wasn't a major problem.
There are some people on the Puerta del Sol. You can find cafes and restaurants here. You can also just sit down and enjoy the sun.
Emblematic plaza in Madrid. If you're going to the city is an essential place to visit. Kilometer zero of Spain. Place where received to the new year and meeting centre par excellence. Tends to be crowded no matter the time or day. It is very well communicated and there are also a large number of public car parks underground. Don't forget to get a photo with the bear and the Strawberry tree.
Close to everything, cozy and with Mini for a coffee.
Madrid heart, crowded at all times during our stay! Huge queues for Lottery booths! By going through the square in zig-zag to make a passage, strange impression of not having seen its architecture.
I'm not inspired by this door.
Door without sun, there is much more beautiful to see elsewhere.
Beautiful square in the heart of Madrid, currently decked out with a very impressive Christmas tree. Different street performers perform.
Fantastic! To avoid during the holidays, TWU at the end of the year… Bcp too crowded!
Wide and, for the Christmas time, decorated with a tree made with very elegant LED lights, the square presents several interesting buildings and monuments, such as the House of the Correo, neoclassical, and the equestrian monument to Charles III. Do not forget the bear, symbol of Madrid, on the northeast side towards Calle de Alcalà.
Perhaps it was a mistake to overvalue the information on the web promoter… Below expectations, although the location is excellent!
Rearing great location, especially at Christmas time. Large crowds should be tolerated.
Absolute hotspot in Madrid.
During the Advent season, due to the crowds, you probably need a thicker nerve costume. But it also impresses this acting.
Crazy place on a Saturday night. Break dancers, small choruses performing. Easily a couple of thousand people. Lots of eating opportunities.
Lively place with tons of people at all times of day or night. The focal point Puerta del Sol (Gate of the Sun) is currently under renovation and it's covered with a photo of what it looks like, so the place doesn't have that grandeur feeling other historical plazas in Spain have. The main attraction right now seems to be the Apple Store. Besides this the equestrian statue of Charles III and the restored Tio Pepe neon sign are still worth checking out as well as the KM 0 plaque in front of Puerta del Sol.
From this square begins the whole of Madrid! It will take weeks 2-3 to master the whole old town with its delightful architecture.
It's at the heart of Madrid (mile marker 0) and it shows. Always busy no matter what time of day or night (ok, it quietens down around 2am) and is full of tourists and hawkers, with street acts coming out in the evening. Sol is the main metro station and takes you to many other locations. To the north are avenues taking you past food shops, boutiques, and niche stores towards Grand Via. To the south are roads taking you to a mix of cosmopolitan and refurbished stores.
A great open space with seats and events for all to see. A great hub for meeting, shopping and dining. All Life is in view, with no trouble or harassment by or for anyone. Busy but we felt totally secure.
Had fun throughout the few days I was there. From bycicle tours to magic shows to musicians entertaining everyone. Also in the centre of Madrid so it's a good starting point for tourists.
This is the central square of Madrid-the most populous and interesting. Here you will always find a couple of street musicians or groups of street artists. Close to the shops and restaurants. 2 radial streets from the square-pedestrian: There is a place to sit and walk.
Excellent location Something noisy. Impeccable. Comfortable.
Quality price something guy but clean.
Madrid is a favorite in my beloved Spain… And that's it!
Impressive square around all the important shopping and dining areas. Heavily overcrowded, however. Has some minor "must-see" attractions like "point 0" from where all the roads in Spain are measured. A definite must do for tourists.
A not miss if you visit Madrid. It is the center of the city, where they eat some grapes, the major streets converge, and you have everything at a few steps away. Always full of people and activities, you can not let pass by. A tip: don't neglect the portfolio.
It is a historical place important, that we all need to visit. Recommended to visit in summer, because there are less people. In dates close to Christmas, it is crowded and it becomes difficult to take a walk. There are a multitude of street performers. And as always, be very careful with the lovers of the alien.
The area is a concentration of the masses, especially in the new year's eve. Dec 31, people 22:00 take place in the area (the police blocks the entrances and leaves multiple input streets). So at 23 was already useless to hope to get there. Too too too many people should plan in advance the movement in the festivities (we lived 200 meters from the square)
Famous spot in Madrid where's there's a lot restaurants, coffee shops, pastries stores, bars, stores and lots of people walking around. They also have hotels that you can stay near if you like that type of environment. I visited both during the day and night and both times lots of movement, it's very nice area to stay and visit when in Madrid.
An iconic place and worth visiting except if it is Christmas because it gets nastiest of people. It is funny to see the queues that are formed to photograph the km 0 and the gypsy woman selling lottery doña Manolita in August. Shows, drunks, abuse, and occasional a long without so pleasant, south americans dressed the characters more current.
It's a lovely place to hang around and people watch. There's an Apple store on the one end of the Plaza which was quite cool because I managed to get some great Internet access and recharge my phone on one of the support desks If you come towards mid afternoon and hang around a bit you also get to see the evening view of the Plaza which turns it into a totally different place. Really nice vibe here.
Beautiful Place. At any rate worth a visit!
This place was good for the price as it is within walking distance of key highlights. The apartment itself was outfitted with all the necessities and even included a washing machine.
Beautiful place with very different things to do. Difficult to cross by its bike way because its bad signaling and too much people. Walking by you will find disco managers in each corner asking continuously to go pubs etc :V.
Beautiful historical place! The area is very large and a lot of people!
A very nice square right in the heart of Madrid. A place where you can find the statue of Carlos ||| and some very fancy restaurants. It's also a place where you can find weird men trying to sell you sodas or beer from their backpack, but it's enough to say no and they will go away.
Historically an important place to be seen, but it's better on a quiet weekday visit, instead we will on a Saturday.
One of the places most beautiful of Spain, and indispensable place to visit if you go to Madrid. A multitude of street performers come to visit, and quite frankly, many of them are spectacular; painters, jugglers, "human statues", magi … A bohemian place and with a special charm. Things like that, you'll also not only in Plaza Sol, but in other places, such as the Plaza mayor. Today, though, very careful with your bags and purses. The culinary offer, wide, and expensive. It is a very touristy place.
Spain National Highway road network the starting point, full of tourists, and the hustle and bustle of Madrid landmarks.
Was in April. Cool. But the place itself is super! Fun action, plenty of interesting things around.
What time of day I would have not been there, there is always people, the question number! square never sleeps! Dominating the square is the former building of the post office. Around it there is zero kilometer. — you can make exciting photos. Generally, Solnechnye rays diverge several streets, walk through each — they are full of shops, Souvenirs and interesting! About cosmetics shop SEPHORA stop turisticheskogo bus of route No. 1 a little further away, on the same street, the bus stop, route No. 2. Bus tickets can be bought in the Internet or directly at the bus stop. Representatives of the company stand at the bus stop and happy to sell one! Saw they accept payment cards. Well, in the hustle and mnogoletie square don't miss the symbol of Madrid — statue of bear with a strawberry tree! it is also located on this square!
Welcoming, as a second home, spectacular! Dealing with the owner is unique. Back safe!

It is a point of Madrid that for me is multicultural, there you can see people from all over the world, hear a variety of infinite languages and its air feels pleasant… It's definitely my favorite place.
