Alberg Pere Tarrés Hostel

A big city hostel that tolerates “old people. ” An active common area, breakfast, and usually plenty of new friends to meet. When I was there, the Wi-Fi was giving everyone grief. It was slow and crashed often. Hope they’ve fixed that sore spot! The 6-bunk dorm rooms were comfortable, en suite bathroom was adequately clean and presentable. Me getting sick from a roommate was not the property’s fault, but I guess it’s a common hazard. I’ve stayed there several times and likely stay there again.

Quite clean hostel, friendly staff and helpful to give any kind of information. In the rooms unfortunately there is no possibility to open the windows and the air change (almost non-existent) is done by a 24h/24 light edunter, with a constant background noise. The beds are comfortable and the Wi-Fi works quite well.

Very clean, not in the city center but good location (close to metro and bus stop) commercial center and a lovely little plaça near by! Only problem was the ladder to get to my upper bed was very awkward! Not all of them are as tiny but do make sure to ask for a lower bed in case you have any problem with that (almost fell twice).

Very clean with friendly staff. Fantastic location in front of a mall and near bus stations that can take you almosy anywhere without having to switch. Breakfast was included and was decent, but nothing special. In my experience it was socially quiet with not much activity inside the hostel itself.

Clean Youth Hostel, 8 bedroom with shower and toilet but it's still noisy. Breakfast really not good.

New or renovated building, relatively comfortable rooms for a youth hostel, air conditioning in the room but you can not open the window to ventilate…
Staff welcoming and available 24/7. Breakfast included, plentiful and decent. Private underground Parking.

I can't believe the critics. We were a group of 7 guys and for 20 euros at night with breakfast, even if not gastronomic, how can one complain about it?!?! As for the dorm of 8 which was clean, refurbished and functional. If the opportunity represents I will gladly return to this hostel.
Reservation spent 1 week before a weekend of bridge in France and for 2 nights.
I would highly recommend.

A little strange… To open the window you have to ask for the handle to bring it back to the reception and to make change the towels you have to ask; Also the shower is at pressure and constantly crushing is annoying. On the other hand the staff is kind and the structure quite new, the beds great and the breakfast good.

The hostel is nice to spend a night. It is located in Numancia Street very close to the Diagonal. Very accepting rooms.

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

Good hostel in Barcelona. Big room with good prices. What you would expect from a youth hostel. All kinds of ages. Breakfast is correct even if you don't expect a lot of variety.

Good establishment and we greet you with a smile. Dedicated primarily to the young people of Passge. Varied food quality and copious.

The room was small but clean, its maintained well… The staff were friendly. I recommend it.

Catastrophic stay. Very critical hygiene conditions, no SOAP in the showers, unhealthy toilets.
Home rather than a hostel: Spanish people resided there for a while. I slept badly because a person came home very late and she kept snoring.
Average breakfast, the croissants were outdated as the smell confirmed, the orange juice is not pressed…
Basically, place to avoid!

Spacious spaces, diversity of areas: kitchenette-dining room with microwave, breakfast room offered in the service. It also consists of leisure and meeting space. Good deal; Ideal for making new friends.

Very good value for money, we went three friends and we went out for about €13 a night/person with breakfast included. Buffet breakfast, quite simple but good. Clean rooms with locked wardrobe for each bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. We asked for more blankets because one of the beds had no and we got them without any problem.

Hostel very friendly clean a staff to listen and who speaks French breakfast quite varied close to the means of transportation and a very large shopping center.

We booked a twin private room, for about 75 Euro a night. The room looked cheap but was clean. Then we went to the shower and it would only get at most boarderline warm. I did not pay $75 euro for a private room that does not even have hot water. Went down to inquire about it and was told it was normal. Even basic hostels do this can provide hot water. Overall felt more like a hospital, minimal features and minimal comfort.

The rooms are clean and the staff is very nice. Very nice young and informal atmosphere.

I stayed one night. I find an abuse for the price of a single room, €69, not to mention that they had not put the sheets or even offered a bar of soap.
But it was that I was sick, in fact I asked a taxi to go to the hospital to the ER and could not eat anything. I ordered a Aquarius in exchange for breakfast and was charged without any regard. We are customers, we are not numbers, sometimes you have to have a little humanity. I'm not going back to a place like this.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean, but the breakfast pesimo, tomato of tin, the coffee was Aguachirriao, the oil was not of olive, only had bread bimbo and the milk without flavor some… ASI and thousand more things, I prefer that not go the breakfast included or that I charge 2 or 3 euros and make a law firm in conditions.

The place is very well located, clean. It has a very good view of the sea. The only flaw is that the floor sounds a lot.

Very spacious… clean… safe… comfortable. Breakfast included… there is a kitchen… restaurant… has very good seating areas… very different from all the hostels in Barcelona… the facilities extend… very quiet and calm. The only distances to the Metro…

I spent four nights in this hostel as part of a final trip and I was rather disappointed: positive: + large shopping centre and subway station nearby + friendly staff + nicely designed entrance area + cheap prices with free (Although very simple) breakfast negative:-small and narrow rooms for eight persons-small beds that are very cramped for people with long legs — in many rooms latticed windows, which makes the airing difficult-very noisy air conditioning-poor condition and lack of Cleanliness of the room: mildew on the shower, softening dirt on the toilet, broken lampshades, grease streaks at the door, holes and big spots in the duvet cover-leaky shower cubicle, so after the showers always the whole bathroom under water-only an uncomfortable Hard shower beam that cannot be adjusted in strength-street noise from outside, which is still quieter than the very noisy air conditioning. If one does not ventilate at night, the room heats up strongly and it quickly starts to smell uncomfortable-even at night a lot of noise in the hallway and stomping from the rooms over one-very simple and unbalanced breakfast, where there is only light toast and no normal bread/ Buns there. The fruit juices taste as if they consist mostly of sugar and aroma and also the coffee is anything but tasty the very cheap price just still justifies the second star. Of course, you cannot get a luxury hotel for this price and it is clear that everything is a bit easier.

Despite the good posture of employers, pay attention to your personal belongings many French tourists are subjected to material degradation, especially on their vehicle parked in the hotel's own parking, without surveillance camera Strangely.

Pretty good hostel. Nothing special. Has a private locker in case you need to secure your valuables. Got standard breakfast buffet. There is air conditioner in a room that keeps room temperature comfortable at all time, but it is running on full blast so if you want to remain sane at night good earplugs is a must.

Has air conditioning which would be good in summer, but it is very noisy. The rooms are large enough but very basic. The shower pressure is very strong, but you have to keep pushing the button every 10 seconds.

Not bad for a hostel. Not a party hostel. But I enjoyed my stay.

Bad impression of arrival. Price does not correspond to the location and not respect of the room hours, 20h of use instead of 24h…

Rooms are nice, they provide free lockers. Bathrooms are gross and dated (bring shower shoes). The location is bad. To get to downtown requires a lot of walking or walking and taking a train line. Breakfast was very basic.

The property is not bad, it is equipped with a personal garage for a fee, has a large common area and breakfast area, the rooms are air-conditioned and clean and the structure is close to the Metro.
Among the flaws I can mention the cleanliness of the bathroom of the room that I do not know if due to the incivility of the other tenants or the lack of the same by the staff and the air conditioning system of my room made a noise type diesel engine.

Rooms clean enough The problem maybe bigger was the cleanliness of the toilet that emanated bad smell.

One of two toilets in my room was broken (water constantly running) on my first night, but it was fixed the next day. The building interior looks fairly new but the build quality is not the best and many things are a bit run down. Free breakfast is a plus, and the service was ok. Still good for the price I think.

Well, value for money goes pretty well for Barcelona. There's not too much going on. Everything was pretty clean. You can come in 24h long, which can be good but also a problem at the same time.

Big hostel with good free breakfast. Room safes don't require you to bring your own lock. Our room had 8 beds in it. Bathroom could've been nicer and cleaner.

The hostel is really a haven of peace, if you are looking for quiet it is undoubtedly the right choice. I am only here to confirm positive opinions (needless to repeat). The room was very nice and the staff were very helpful.

They lack shampoo and other important things that you need to take from home, otherwise they are badly organized for when it comes to magnetic keys.

As a bus driver, my group of travelers found the necessary comfort during the TOP 14 period. Thanks to the staff of the reception and to the gentleman who opens the door of the breakfast.

Great facility! Close to the underground station and a 10 min walk from the Camp Nou… great rooms with private lockers and clean bathrooms, friendly atmosphere and a rich breakfast in the morning. The Wi-Fi is very fast, too bad that in the rooms do not arrive (at least in mine).

I stayed a week while I was looking for apartment rental and the experience was pretty good. Very friendly staff and the breakfast included is typical European cereal and toast. A day that not I could breakfast I prepared a picnic to take, all a detail.
In return, it is a place where come many groups of teenagers, computers, and students often so if you coincides prepare to arrive before breakfast or you'll have to wait for a pass the entire group.
I would recommend it for the location and price/quality ratio, but personally I will not repeat. I prefer to try new hostels.

I loved the vibe. I only wish they had available towels and soap. Breakfast was decent. I would like more options and better cafe. It was confusing to find how to start the breakfast line. It was friendly staff and very helpful. I'd go there again for sure.

It is very well located, and the staff is lovely. The last day they made us a picnic by not attend breakfast since our train came before the opening of the restaurant. The rooms are not bad but in which I had some damage, but nothing major. An unbeatable value for money. Totally recommended.

The place was ok. Good: -for groups -lockers in each room -free Wi-Fi -outside seating However: -the beds were not that comfortable -the food is not great -you have to log in for Wi-Fi every day -the shower is one stream and not small streams of water bundled together.

The 2 nights we stayed here I got no sleep. The hostel advertises having a relaxing atmosphere but people were walking in and out of my room till 5am. Banging closets, etc… the staff don't assign beds next to the corresponding lockers, so at 5h30 this morning after I had finally fallen asleep, some jerk who had come in at 2am woke me up again banging his locker next to my head. Additionally, the breakfast is horrible with fake coffee and juice the only beverages. For the money I spent, I would have been better off sleeping under a bridge. Also, there is no temperature control on the showers so prepare to be burned.

One experience more than unpleasant that I lived a few weeks ago in this Hostel which I went along with family where.
To start a smell of feet in total unhealthy Hall.
Then we had to share a room with 5 kids, room was dirty (cans of beer everywhere, open cigar, …) several of them were drunk, aporrearon gate and came screaming in. Then one of them had an intimidating and aggressive attitude with my partner and me with the complicity and the laughter of others.
The situation went down to reception to explain what happened, since we refused to sleep in the room — our security was not ensured — and the response of the hostel:
-did not apologize us in no time by generated discomfort
-offered us no solution since they do not have a protocol for when this situation happens.
-There were no security personnel
-workers did not know how to act, responsible for us attended by telephone with an unpleasant and time attitude with what had happened. His answer was: "we cannot control what people do in the rooms".
-They proposed we sleep to me and my two relatives in separate rooms to which we refuse.
-We were until 1.00 am looking for accommodation in Barcelona and the involvement of the hostel was null.
Finally we were us invite our guests we had to leave.

The hostel is the best you can find in barcelona talking about relationship, quality and price.
The hostel is not located within the historic center, but is still city. It is very well connected both with tram, bus and metro; whose stops are located 3 minutes from the door.
It is opposite the shopping centre l'ille where you can buy food to then cook in the kitchen of the hostel or eat in any restaurant.
Breakfast is no big deal, but it is enough to get to noon.
The Wi-Fi had very good signal in all welcome.
The only thing I object to are the roommates, but that is a matter of luck, since the hotel does not have nothing to do.

If I return to Barcelona I will stay me there again.

Bad breakfast. Schedules bad (to the 10 let the room free, at 12 ping pong). Very friendly receptionist truth.

The albergye is very good itself. Modern style, it has elevator, rooms have washbasin, there is equipped kitchen… but the mattresses and pillows are very thin and uncomfortable, they should invest in changing them, because the truth is hard to rest with a thinner than a paper pillow.

A hostel excellent, very good price the instalaciines of first level, very efficient service, I congratulate them!
