Convenient to the many restaurants and shops of Addison; nice, quiet, comfortable rooms with kitchenette w/full-size refrigerator; several nearby parks for walks; helpful staff. This hotel is constructed as long-term business stay studios/suites, making them more like apartments than the typical hotel.
We reserved an accessible room with a roll-in shower for two nights, but when we got there the room had a tub. When I told the night manager he argued with me, saying the computer showed it as a roll-in. I said the computer was obviously wrong. They had no rooms left with a roll-in, so we went to the Hilton instead. To make matters worse, Hawthorne Suites put a $190 hold on our credit card. It is still there 7 days later, even though the manager assured me they had released the hold. (My credit card company says they have not released it. ) In addition, Wyndham has no record that we even had a reservation, even though I made the reservation through their app. I am closing my Wyndham account.
