Excellent for those with 1-2 days of time to get to know the city. In 5 hours — in a row — we were able to discover the beauty of the place. We have identified places that you are interested in, and tomorrow we will go to know them better.

Well worth the money, excellent way to see the major sites of the city. Audio very informative.

Enjoyed the ride and information you get along the way. Great stops. Thank you! Drivers were 50/50 in their attitudes, but the ticket takers were very helpful and friendly. They tell you not to throw the tickets away. So don't or you'll be stuck kilometers away from home base. The information audio is a bit hard to understand sometimes, but mostly good. Going to try my own ear buds today. The trips are about 2 hours for the orange and 2.5 for green. Because of that if you are staring from point 5 (for example) and you want to go to point 1, that's a long ride.

Sitting in the bus as we speak, the bus is full so definitely not enough buses for the amount of people taking it. Employee inside very rude and shouts at everyone because people have entered the bus and want to remain downstairs as it is 40 degrees outside, but no seating left. He keeps the first row empty as per “the rules” as he says, keeps talking about the rules inside the bus. My boyfriend had to remain standing as we came in with a stroller, and we did not have the choice to decide to take the baby on our lap, because the guy told us we could not change our mind… the guy is a total control freak, defines rules I’ve never heard of in any other bus of the same company. But that bad experience makes me give one star. You can’t have employees like that working with tourists.

It is true that both routes are well structured, but don't get too excited for the air conditioning on the first floor (very important to me). After taking several different buses over 2 days, it's not equal for everyone. Don't imagine cooling down properly, other than having your head in the ventilation. With the 2 stairs open, it's still warm and for some buses, it's unbearable (visit in July). I deplore the lack of family offer; It's still expensive. Since we stop at a few places and not the 40 stops, I suggest you take a subway pass. The audio guide contains interesting information, but there is more elevator music and promotional offers. The staff are welcoming though, I had very good contacts with the bus employees.

The tour was good but they ripped me off of 50 bugs. I ordered 2 tickets online which they don´t send me. At the bus station I payed again for the tickets and they promised to reimburse me if I send the proof by email. Of couse nobody answered but they took my money twice anyway. Be careful!

The route orange becomes unbearable with so many stops, some absolutely unnecessary. Places of interest just you can see. The green route more dynamic and better views of lis places of interest.

When you purchase the tickets you will get something that looks like a receipt. Do not throw away the receipt, since this is your ticket. Would be better to have actual tickets instead of the credit card receipt. In any case, I was an idiot and threw the receipt out. So I thought no big deal, I will go to the office to get new tickets, I can prove from the credit card that I bought them. So I went there, but they said they could not give new tickets. I showed them that I had just bought the tickets and still they refused. I am trying to understand why that is (yes they make more money when I buy new tickets but I did not) — basically: Why be combative towards your clients? What would be the big deal with just issuing new tickets, they don't lose any money, it is completely reasonable. The service is extremely poor.

I can recommend this company. Didn't want to do it at first, but then decided at short notice and were thrilled! Drive the whole orange and green line and got off at certain places and drove on with the next bus again! You can see every sight and the explanation in German was very good to hear with the headphones.

In one of the buses, the driver forced us to fold our handicapped son's stroller while we explained. There was no problem in the others. You can't see anything from inside the bus.

Very unfriendly staff at the station. The guy insulted us personally because we we're not fast enough. Expensive and unfriendly is top much. Would Not go again.

AMAZING! audio guides are so good and helpful nice seats nice views. Staff were very friendly. Lots of languages to choose from. I recommend just the price could go down a bit, bit pricy.

I don’t know why the tour has so many bad reviews. This bus tour is well worth a 2-day pass to explore and visit the city. I recommend the bus’s upper level, but, the ground level is pretty good too. Of the several tours my friend and I took, neither of us had any issues and the on-board staff was friendly and ensured we had our booklets/maps/coupons/etc. Some of the “stops” may seemed rush if you are not prepared to get off — however, that is not the tours fault. I personally recommend Barcelona City Tour to anyone wanting a tour of Barcelona’s highlights.

Ideal to visit the most emblematic points of the city.

Bought 4 tickets via their app an hour before we planned to "hop on"… got no confirmation in app and never got the confirmation email. Got in the long line and told the ticket lady that we had already purchased tickets. She said it takes two hours for the email to come and that it needs to be printed anyhow. She directed us to walk to the Julia Travel office that would help us. That office proceeded to tell us they couldn't look up our tickets and print them unless we had the email… So we went back to the bus line and bought another set of ticket just ao we didn't waste our only day in Barcelona. We were told that the main Julia Travel office could cancel the tickets. So we stopped at the main office to get a refund processed. After much searching they found our ticlets and printed them… and handwrote an email address to send the cancellation request to… which we did. Imagine my surprise when the email bounced… DO NOT USE THEIR APP OR WEBSITE TO BOOK TICKETS! April 2018 Update… we have had to fight the charges with our credit card company (and who has time for that? ) If I could give 0 stars I would!

Orange route is 2 hours and 20 mins but that is debatable. Green route is 2 hours, not even close. This was potentially a good thing for Hilton Diagonal Mar and the Avenida since it was a 2 min walk here an there to grab a bus for both hotels. There were times that people could not get on the bus at Park Guell and the other amusement park. We booked two days and it was very windy on the beach stop during our last time we were getting on and one of our passes blew away. Even though we had proof we bought two passes (one in hand too) for two days before and we were two stops away from our hotel, they would not honor my ticket or any proof thereof on my mobile phone. They made us get off the next stop and we had to take a 9 euro cab to the Hilton. Even though a half a dozen times, the staff did not even scan our tickets… she made us get off. Insisting she, Isabel, would have to pay for my full price ticket or I would have to. Not like I am trying to scam a 10 minute ride. There was nothing she could do. Yes, there was! There is a difference that a person with no ticket or a proof of ticket it getting on the bus… me, with ONE other person with ticket in hand and proof of purchase two days earlier for two people for two days on my mobile. Isabel can go f*&^K herself. She ruined a perfect end to a beautiful vacation in Barcelona. And I wanted nothing but to take my drink and flip her off after I paid 9 euro for the cab that beat the bus to my hotel. Principle people… Isabel sucks!

Too expensive for the performance and too long waiting for sights. But still a great way to see the city.

Shocking poor service. Bought 120 euros worth of tickets for my family. Buses are packed which is fine I suppose. We wanted to get off at the Picasso Museum (stop 2 or 3). I noticed on the map that the bus was going the opposite direction. My wife asked the guide why this was and she replied we “were going directly to stop 5 or 6”. We asked if they could stop for us to get off to which she replied “we are not a taxi service”. I asked why there was no announcement that we were skipping a handful of stop to which came a shocking reply “I’m doing that now, don’t be stupid”. The whole bus gasped. Others started to protest and wanted to get off too. I had my 6 year old with me who heard everything. Please avoid this company at all costs.

We tried this out despite the mixed reviews that we read. It was a rainy day and we thought it might be a good way to get around town without walking in the rain. The headphone jacks are very touchy and do not always work. They play annoying music in between sharing very minimal information about the sites. You definitely cannot sit on the upper level on a rainy day so tough to get any good views. It was off-season and rainy and the buses still moved at a regular schedule which is nice, but it would have been even nicer if they could stop for 2 minutes at each place to allow the visitors to take a quick photo. If you are able to walk, I would recommend taking the metro/walking to the sites over this bus. It is a lot of money to get a ride around town for a day.

What terrible service! I was on a tour on 2/2/18 and was trying to get back on at Sagrada Familia stop around 6:15pm. I had my coffee with me prior to stepping in. The two guys who were operating the bus asked me to finish it, so I did and went to throw it away in the trash can 10 feet away. I told them I’d be right back. I soon as I walked away, they drove off. What a terrible impression they made on the city and the Spanish/Catalonian people, a disgrace! Save your money and avoid this bus — a waste of 30 euros. Terrible service, audio tour was awful and did not give historical insights as anticipated. A waste of 2 hours you will never get back.

Very convenient… and at a fair price.

The explanations are pleasant to hear. But it is inconceivable that during school holidays and even more at the end of the year holidays, that buses do not circulate until 8Pm. We stayed in place of Catalunya for not even 3 min. Buses leaving from Catalunya square at 7Pm should be shifted by 5 min to wait until those arriving from the other line at 19h03 can climb in. In view of the price, we had to take a subway ticket… the second company is a little better on this point.

Whish I read the reviews here first too. Generally rude and not helpful staff and the audio tours are so so. Not worth the money. Furthermore, we were a group of 5 people, so we payed 130+ euros. As the actual bus ticket you get a normal receipt paper, just like one you would get when you get a receipt Of your payment in a restaurant or store. You get so many of these receipt on a trip like this, so a receipt like this is easily lost, which is what happened to one of the members of our party. We were (rudely) told that you could only get back on the bus without this receipt and we should get off now! Last time I checked you can’t decline someone entrance because of missing some receipt, when you can show evidence of your purchase. They can see and they know I really payed all that money…

Not worth the money. There is not much to see and very little interesting historical facts shared but for the Olympics and architects involved in buildings. We booked a tour with a guide and were given very vague information about the meeting point, we could not find the guide. We were also not given real tickets and therefore were not able to enter. We explained everything to the bus assistant who was rude and implied that it was our own fault. DONT waste money on a guided tour to the Sagrada familia. Everything he said was plain to see.

Very recommendable! There are a lot of busses so the waiting time is very short. We enjoied the hop-on hop-off cause we were able to visit many places in a single day.

Very nice staff, and according to my point D very comfortable view to know the whole city. Especially if you go with Nignos.

Best way to see the city in and out everywhere. Free headphones for voice announcements in all common foreign languages. Only somewhat susceptible if there is an event in the urban area because, like everywhere else, road closures of the vecehr occur.

Amazing tours, fantastic guide. Fun time in a beautiful city where there is a lot to learn.

After reading all the negative reviews I was nervous but I have to tell you it is just fine. I think mainly it is a frame of mind that helps. Sure there are little things here and there but overall we had a great tour and saw many areas of the city that we would not have. The staff was friendly. The stops did not take that long. There were a few lines at pick ups but the wait was not long. Overall we thought it was just fine. We have done HOHO busses in Paris, London, etc. And this one is just fine.

Total waste of money, wish I had read the reviews before I went on this. Bad audio, almost incomprehensible English lady. Not in sync with the very little that you actually see. Horrible lift music played throughout. Not much in the way of educational info. Lots of adverts for other tours. The most boring 2hrs and 30 minutes. Couldn't wait to get off back at my start point. Did these tours in London and Paris. Both excellent, lots to see. Unlike this run around to almost nothing. If you read the reviews you will see that the alternative company is just as bad. Both companies know of all the issues with the bad audio going back for months. All they give is a cordial, half hearted apology and do nothing to rectify it with better headsets as this would cost them money. Total tourist trap. Complacent owners and managers. Making a fortune out of tourists and then turning there backs with condescending remarks like hope you enjoyed your trip anyway. I will never ride one of these buses in any destination again after this experience.

I found it very useful because I was in Barcelona just 2 days and with this bus I saw all my favourite places in a short period of time. It would be better if they would call out every station.

Waste of time and money… guide was rude… Too expensive. Take a taxi to where you wanna go. If you plan on taking pictures on nice buildings from the bus you can forget it also theres usually a tree or something else in the way.

Really you deserve no star. We had two days of ride for 4 people, 26 and 27/12. We called this morning to confirm you accepted electronic ticket and were assured a yes. When ready to climb on Barcelona City Tour the young woman on bus 2536 at 1:30 was extremely rude refusing to even look at the telephone and told us: "OUT", first time we encounter such an attitude in this city where everyone is polite and kind. I asked my daughter in the States to demand a refund for all trips she book on line for us included an other two days next week for two other persons.

Don't waste your money. It's a tourist trap. What upset me most is that when I purchased the bus tickets I was not offered nor given a coupon book. It was not until I was half way up the Tibidabo when I realized everyone else had a coupon book that offered them discounts at every stop and discounts on tram and cable buses. Each tram and cable bus was 5€ or 7€ The coupon code offers 2€ off or so. It's not much of a difference but every euro adds up and of course I was upset when I called customer service and they could not give me a discount code over the phone nor did they offer me a solution of any type. Instead they told me it was my fault for not requesting a coupon book at purchase. Rude. How was I supposed to know?! Ridiculous. Don't waste your money. You can get around using a bus and metro for less than 10€.

Very scarce information for the audio tour, had music playing most of the time. Only one channel worked for most of the seats in my experience. Also pour audio quality and sync. Do not use as means of transportation.

Offers two lines to be able to visit Barcelona from east to west, Wi-Fi on board very useful, main stops at major points of interest, audioguide in many languages and possibility to take it countless times during the validity of the ticket.

We took the city tour to Barcelona red and Green Line in three people (paid €76.00). We went down to visit Park Guell which is located at one of the last stops of the green route and on the way back to 6pm. 00 We realized we lost the ticket payment receipt. We explained to a bus operator our inconvenience and in a rigid way we got off the bus not understanding the situation in which we were having with us also a little girl and missing a few stops on arrival!

Excellent city tour with two routes one of 2 hours orange and one green of 2 hours and twenty. Audioguide in many languages very complete. Great Wi-Fi and app to follow the best route and attractions. Active from Le 9 until the 20 last great start to still take the green and stop on the waterfront to eat. The tours leave from Plaça Catalunya. Great way to get a feel for the city.

Good hotel with good facilities.

For the price you pay you get a friendly and helpful reception, a clean bed and bathroom, Wi-Fi, and you're close to the Rambla. Not a lot of space for a drug-fuel after-party.

The BARCELONA CITY HOTEL is a not recommended. Dirty "hair in the bed", all is dilapidated, broken wardrobe, bathroom with upwellings of sewer smells. AC not working not night damage in summer especially since the opening of the window is impossible because of the noise. A dishonest, the site manager was noted private parking "item changed since". The price was noted 25 EUROS. While in reality it is a parking public cost 48 euros for a night.

I stayed for 6 nights, it was very good we sleep very well, very nice staff, clean hotel very well located for all proge to NCBs.

First night no heating, down in my room, not even offered a new room for the second night just a small radiator that even not heat the room. And internet in room 207 very hard to have.
