Access dificile and very Bryant at night (PS all night)

Good value for money. Excellent location, clean room. Helpful staff. Street is sometimes noisy during the night. No A/C.

Walking distance from the Rambla, Barceloneta and two metro lines. I stayed for 3 nights with my sister in a twin room: great cleanliness and comfortable room. At The Front desk they were very nice and helpful to give us information. Excellent value for money, super recommended!

The room card is very sketchy and the Wi-Fi cuts every 3 mn.

Great price and location right in the heart of the city, no frills. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Would stay here again.

Surely I will not have a good memory at the human level of this "place"… to be erased. I am sorry to say but it is so, in recent times I have stayed in many Spanish hotels and I have received from all many attentions, but of this LEVANTE hostal I felt "robbed".

Malisimo, no TV, neighbor of a marijuana smoking club, horrible.

The beds are very comfortable, the cleanliness is good, it does not have air conditioning but it is in the Gothic quarter and has many shops around, the attention of the concierges is precarious and the services offered are bad.

The Hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A little bit unlike the elevator but if I go back to Barcelona I would use it again. Good relationship cost benefit.

Let's just say that if I come back to Barcelona I'll try harder to find a better place because the only relatively good thing about this one was the location. The Wi-Fi connection was horrible, it took forever to connect and disconnected often. This hostal has literally paper thin walls, you could hear everyone slamming their doors, talking, sneezing and me personally I could hear the people in the room next to mine taking a shower together. Not great. The room was small but ok, it had a window but facing the inside of the buildings and someone's roof full of garbage and their neighbour's panties. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was ok too although it didn't have a hair dryer. All they give you is soap, no shampoo or anything else. Metro stops are not far but not as close as you want if you're carrying heavy luggage. They clame to be a Green hotel and give u the choice of reusing your towels but they change your soap every day and they wouldn't even let me finish a toilet paper roll.

Very nice hostel with a fabulous location. We were here at the end of February and room was a little bit hotter, but it was ok for us since there was cold outside and we could sleep naked. There was a nice furniture and very comfy beds in bedroom and we also had a nice bathroom. Everything was refurbished and new. The best advantage was the location — a few steps from Rambla and because they don`t provide breakfast, near nice cafes, where you can eat in the morning. There are also many restaurants, bars and supermarkets everywhere around. Hostal Lavante was a bit pricey, but I assume it is a normal price in Barcelona. All in all it was surprisingly very nice stay in Catalan capital, which we enjoyed to the brim.

It is a hostel, in an old building close to the Rambla. There are many shops, restaurants, supermarkets and bars in the area. The subway is two steps away. The place is clean, and whoever works there is very kind and considerate.

Elevator and in perfect location two second to ramblas.

It is a hostel in an old beautiful building at two steps from the Rambla, which has single and double rooms also with private bathroom. To me they gave as a single, a room with bathroom, no bidet, quite wide and with the double bed, so I guess I was lucky. The windows of the bath and the room overlook two small inner courtyards where little light arrives, so if you have some claustrophobic problem I would advise to inform you before you book. The room is basic but clean, the change of towels daily. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is strategic to visit the city and enjoy the streets and alleys of the center but remember that it is not a hotel but a hostel, so forget about fridge and TV in the room, the Wi-Fi is there and it works great.
You can't keep your keys when you get out.

This is a hostel for which the services are proper to a hostel, no breakfast, no TV or Frigo bar but there are private bathroom and, for those interested, the free Wi-Fi. The reception is also open at night and the staff are very friendly. In addition it is clean and the location is strategic. It is practically equidistant from La Rambla, Laietana, the cathedral and a couple of metro stations. I forgot, we are in Barcelona in the center of Bari Gotico.

Simple but basic clean courteous staff available H24. The property is in a convenient location to visit the whole city. They are 4 times we come to Barcelona and four times we stay here. Recommended!

I have searched a lot among all the hotels. I was looking for hotel in downtown near the Ramblas and with bathroom room. The design leaves to wish for clean room XO. It has some mold on the walls.
I spent 320 x 4 nights double room x 2 people. Given the other prices I can stay there. You can't hear anything from outside. Some noise with the discharges of the other rooms.

Excellent location and friendly staff! Good value for money with clean rooms that have aircons. It has reliable Wi-Fi and 24hour reception. Definitely worth a stay :)

Unbearable the noise of the dumpsters in the early morning and the heat. Lack of air conditioning!
Poor value for money.

The location is super touristy but some people might like it! You need to know they have different rooms with different facilities but same price. My partner and I were in the worst room (room #312), it was smelly, the bed was not comfortable, it was dusty, there was an almost broken fan in the room. We booked online for three nights but we decided to look for another place for the other night! The receptionist told us another room (room #413) is available for the second night only. We decided to take it. It was a million times better, surprisingly the price was the same. They didn't let us stay there for the third night though and when I asked to talk to the manager, they called him and he was so very rude. We had to move three times in three days. We ended up staying at this hostal for two nights!

Totally over priced for what they are offering. They have different classes of rooms. Few with A/C, majority without. Some crapy some ok. But they charge you the same high price even if they give you the crappiest, smallest, warmest darkest room. So try to switch to a better room. You wouldn't get much luck with the manager since he has no understanding of what customer service means. I moved to an airbnb place with a/c and much better room with kitchen and self-made breakfast for the same price in the same neighborhood for just two blocks away. Avoid room 312 by all means.

Staff not so kind, they asked us a price, we paid and the day after they asked us (15 people) other 44 cents for a supposed error of the receptionist we paid to. Some rooms were incredibly hot, we asked to change a fan that wasn't working, and they refused to do so. Few electric plugs. You get what you have paid for. Nice bathrooms.

Hostel Levante is a good choice for those who wish to be in the centre of Barcelona and don't want to spend an arm and a leg. The rooms are clean and the staff are pleasant. The rooms could probably use some air con as it does get quite hot. It does also get quite noisy due to the location but ear plugs are provided.

The staff are friendly and helpful, however we need to hand our key in any time we leave, then collect it when we get back. It's really noisy at night, from the street outside. The room is clean and tidy, but hot.

Super convenient because of its location. Although it is a little bit difficult to find the first time! Staff is very nice and helpful! But small flat on hygiene they change the sheets and towels once on two! And the noise the night I had the misfortune to have a room next to the reception! Awake all the time by customers who return in the middle of the night.

We assume that we know that it is a hostel and things will be better or worse at the level of decor… but do not pass through the dirt… that if you don't! Cleaning is very bad, the baths had a dirt and a lack of hygiene giving a fatiguita… totally disgusting and neglected the work of cleaners. The only thing good I can say is that the beds were very comfortable… just that.
Whoever has to go that it will take a good bottle of bleach to avoid damaging your health with so many bad bacteria that must have those rooms and after call health… which is what I'm gonna do…

We spent there one week last year, rooms were quite clean, but small, and the air conditioning system was broken (it was august…) It was 50 € per person for a double room, a bit noisy at night. Excellent location anyway, and friendly people working there.

Me and my girlfriend have been there 4 nights, and we really liked it. The location is perfect, in 3 minutes by feet you are in the middle of the Rambla. We were in the new renewed zone of the Hostal and during the night the silence was absolutely perfect! The room is simple but there was everything we needed, conditionated air included. There is no breakfast, but in Carrer de Ferran you'll find many places for it. The reception is open 24h so you can come in and out when you want. If you ask me if I would return there in the future, yes, I will do it!
