In the past years we are looking for more than comfort in our Hotel for vacation abroad, we look for an extra value. Foe me this extra value is a unique design, something that will catch my eye, make me smile and take some pictures. This lovely hotel us doing it! Besides the perfect location, clean & comfortable room, lovely lobby and friendly staff — it has the surprising and "extra step" design. We had a lovely 4 nights here.

Great hotel in the heart of Barcelona. The location is great for visiting the city (a short walk from The Rambla, 400 meters from the metro). Rooms not very large, but very nice and clean. Small pool and hot tub on the top floor (great on return from a day spent walking). If you stop a few days in Barcelona and want a good foothold for your visits this hotel is for you.

Rooms were pretty basic. Beds are decent, location was amazing, but hard for cabs to get to/from, so plan to walk everywhere, which is so awesome. Can be noisy. Swimming pool constantly had kids in it and no easy way to get in if you have any physical limitations. They need steps and a handrail for safety. Also, the showers need rubber bathmats, as they are VERY slippery and it could be easy to fall. I probably won't book again, but it was fine.

Very nice hotel and very comfortable. The rooms were great and the room was very quiet.
The location is very good and the hotel is very nice. A ten minute walk from Plaça Catalunya (the final stop of the airport buses) highly recommended.

Modern, simple clean good.
Wireless internet is great, coffee tastes good, terrace is great, especially in the morning from 10 am and the room is modern and clean. Windows we only had in the courtyard but that didn't bother.
Quiet Hotel, no street noise.

The location provides good access to both mainstream stores and local shops. The staff are also accomodating even while given a lot of questions. Their rooms are large enough. And, they also provide free water and apple at their gym. Yes, there is a gym (and a swimming pool).

In the middle of the old town of Barcelona a very nice hotel for a weekend trip. Kind stuff, clean, comfortable bed and room and a phantasic breakfast buffet in the morning. Fair priced! Cu next time in Barcelona.

A pretty good hotel and not very expensive for the area, they are quite attentive (except the girls who work in the cafeteria, they are very unpleasant) and friendly. The facilities are modern, small rooms without great luxuries. The glues that would put the entire stay is that we touched a room that had another communicating, and the last day came new guests at night that we were not allowed to stick eye because they heard everything, the dryer if you put it to the Max (2/2) as it is blocked and stops Work and finally the fridge made noises. Otherwise quite comfortable and very well, thank you.

It's a very good hotel, modern and good service.
The location is excellent, right next to the Ramblas.
It was a gift from the travel agency and it was a full hit.
It's definitely a place to come back to.

I decided to book a room at this hotel because my friends highly recommended the terrasse and, in particular hot tub on the roof. I called the hotel on March 20 and the hotel staff confirmed that the hot tub is in good working condition. When I checked in on March 21, I was informed that the hot tub is broken and it is uncertain when it will be repaired. It is now my second night at the hotel and I am still unable to use the hot tub. It is unfortunate that I have to give a low rating to this otherwise excellent hotel. Being in a hospitality business myself, I understand that unexpected things sometimes happen. What distinguishes a good hotel from a mediocre hotel is the ability to deal and resolve the unexpected difficulties, inform future guests and compensate existing guests for the inconvenience. Sadly, I have to place Avinyo in the latter category.

This hotel is located right in the center of the old town of Barcelona, near las Ramblas all within walking distance of the city well connected, surrounded by architecture.

The location is perfect because right in the district El Gótico, the welcoming staff, the rooms are spacious comfortable and clean. The small terrace of our room faced the street Avinyo and it was very nice! The little plus of this hotel is its small roof top terrace with pool and jacuzzi, nothing extravagant but the setting is nice and cozy! It is only a pity that it closes at 20:30!

Good location, clean, nice lobby and rooftop seating area. However the room I was in had no windows and was quite stuffy.

Cute hotel located in the gothic quarter. Close to everything, you can go walking to many places. Wave vintage, it is a hotel with comfortable rooms and modern bathroom. It has a nice lobby and a swimming pool small terrace but it serves to cool off.

Good hotel located in a site difficult to improve. The Center at the side of the shops and close to plaza Cataluña. Facilities, correct and modern and fairly quiet. The Pool has its grace but it is very small. Nice staff. 8, 2 out of 10.

Very nice hotel, super well located, impeccable attention, has a fitness center and swimming pool. It is modern and everything works perfect. It is not necessary to include breakfast€ 16 per person in the daily rate, as it is surrounded by cafes that for 5€ — 8€ desayunas well.

The hotel is in a very good location not far from the Camp Nou and Sagrada Familia. Room nice and clean.

The café/restaurant is a nice place, fresh, quiet, with a relaxing ambiance. The food is relatively cheap and ok.

It smells like clor. In the bathroom the water runs out of the shower on the floor. The rooftop pool is tiny and pigeons bathe in it.

Great location, good beds and a great breakfast (relatively expensive). These were the positive aspects of the hotel. Negative: Noisy, room stank horrible, air conditioning was not working properly, staff unwilling to solve the problems, pool on the roof only to use as bird potions.

Location is fantastic & gym is also nice. Staff is friendly. Rooms however, are small and the bed was very hard. Our room did not have any ventilation also. On the rooftop there is a pool and whirlpool, but this gives room for alcohol orgies which spoils the scenery over the city for normal tourists.

Absolutely great location in the heart of the Gothic area close to restaurants, bars, and a great many attractions. Room was very clean and adequately appointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel located in an unquestionably convenient location, in full Barri Gotic, within walking distance of the Liceu L3 and Jaume I L4 stop as well as the cathedral and the main tourist attractions of the area. Countless restaurants and bars just a few minutes walk away. The staff was very helpful These are the positive notes. Unfortunately on our arrival we are assigned a room where it rained inside from the drain of the bathroom upstairs, you can imagine the stench of which was impregnated the room. Without any problems we move in another similar. Decent size, no closet but a structure at sight however very practical. The problem the bathroom: nice but it was impossible to take a shower since the pipe was broken and the water pressure does not exist, without talking about the mold on the walls between the blue tiles. Finally for 4 nights it is not closed eye since in the forbidden where the hotel faces, just opposite, there is a nightclub that kept us awake until 4 past all the Holy nights! The hotel require a refurbishment of the bathrooms, better maintenance and soundproofing of the rooms. Would you recommend? I don't know! The score is high but only for the location and the courtesy of the staff. @gargio76

It's kind of a nightmare! I could imagine that only some scored and wild. Rooms as single cells. Windows are plastered with some posters, courtyard-pipe. There is no light, shower worse Soviet hostels.
In General is tough!

The rooms are small but clean and practical. The staff is helpful and accommodating and they do it with a smile. The pool is very small and terrace also but it does the job. The gym is nice and the breakfast buffet is fantastic!

Helpful and friendly front desk staff and the bed is incredibly comfy.

Overall a great stay — we were in the superior suite room 603 which has a little outside patio (no view though. ) The room was spacious and clean. All the lights, air-conditioning and other appliances were in working order. Even so, there was a little feeling of "no frills" and the bathroom amenities were cheap, the seal on the shower door was coming off and the plug hole in the shower didn't drain perfectly. Also when we arrived at our hotel construction work was audible from the reception desk coming from the interior of the building. I had read comments about this elsewhere so I asked the desk clerk about it. She said that we would not be affected by the noise at all as we were on the top floor and we wouldn't hear it. Actually we did hear it clearly and sitting on the patio we could hear builders word for word as the sound carried up. But this had no impact on our holiday. The workers started late, we were out mist of the day, the noise wasn't constant and they were over by 7pm. I would definitely stay again even with work going on in the hotel. If you were wanting a trip where you spend a lot of time in the room maybe not so good. The location of the hotel is excellent and within walking distance of many incredible restaurants, tapas bars, patisseries, the harbour etc. The streets are very pretty. Over the road from the hotel is a very convenient mini mart selling regular groceries for snacks, forgotten essentials.

Good hotel between Ramblas and Gothic. Lots of restaurants on doorstep. My room overlooked the downstairs bar so all the sound reverberated upwards in the evening.

Hotel recommendable if you require a relaxing stay, is located in the centre of Barcelona, the rooms were correct on the basis of price, and gave options that they themselves will contact the cab for moving.

Frankly… Expected anything else. What most surprised me was the fact of view in the facade of "HOTEL'AVINYO".

Really nice hotel, fantastic staff. Service with a smile and very keen to go the extra mile. I came to Barcelona before, now I have a place to come back to!

Great hotel, amenities, service and location.

Reserve in the Quartier Gothic Barcelona that it was a horrible and looked like a pigsty and we did not like it so we went to the Catalonia Hotel and Resort and it is terrific.

Excellent staff and beautiful location! in the center of Barcelona but away from the chahu of the centre.

Very positive thing is that it is pretty much close to any place of interest, one among them is La Rambla. Recommended especially for young, cheap and you have so much.

I stayed for 8 days and definitely will come back again and stay at the same hotel. The staff was very helpful. Specially Adriano… he recommended a lot of nice places to visit, perfect short-cuts to reach our destination, and very nice restaurants to dine. The rooms are cozy, small but comfortable. The view from my room was amazing…and 5 walking distance from Rambles and metro station.

Massive pool. Did 75 lenghts this morning.

We stayed for a short vacation. The location of the hotel is super — right next to everything and in walking distance from most attractions. The staff was friendly, helpsome and had a good humor. The room we got was on the 6th floor and we where upgraded to superior room but believe it or not — the room had no window to the outdoors — only a "window" to another room. This can be quite claustrophobic to some people and the aircondition in the room gave quite a draft so we had to turn it off most of the time. The breakfast, which was average in quality and fair, compared to the price, is served in the basement — again a room without windows.

Classbedroom is the best.
