BIG NO I went with my father and brother. The locals are horrible maby because people have been noisey in the past. We see people have sick thrown off the balconies at them. When the reception of the hotel was told they was less than sympathetic also an egg throw at myself. Avoid… no star.

You get what you pay for. Nothing amazing. Felt dirty. The shower is part of the rusting ceiling. The staff are mostly nice and try to help. Had free Wi-Fi so that's good. Breakfast was ordinary and didn't change the whole time we stayed there (6 days). The hotel is close to almost everything in town, but the neighbourhood looks more like a drug ally. The sewer stench in those streets are really bad.

I am giving this place a 5star purely on the basis of where it is located and the great house keeping. It is a budget hotel and you must bare that in mind. It is a great location for backpackers and those who want to get around the city quickly. The area isn't a good place for children so I would recommend only for adults. The beds were made in a daily basis and coming to a clean room after a long day was very relaxing. The bed was queen size and very comfortable. There is also a TV and balcony looking out into the street. The toiletries were replaced daily and fresh towels also supplied. There is a supermarket outside where you can purchase 8L bottle water for 1€ this was very handy as I was filling my bottles before venturing off to see the city. There was always someone to assist you at the counter regardless of time. There is a lift to access other floors.

I didn't get a chance to meet Barbara. But if I had, I would've told her that we enjoyed our stay, even though the beds were a bit uncomfortable and small. Nothing fancy here. Just a relaible place for the weary traveller to call home for a few days (no more if you have a bad back).

Hotel Barbara is a one star hotel. I wouldn't recommend it.

If I had been in Italy I would have called the Nas and ASL. Worse is not possible! The price is insane… it's definitely not even close to any one star hotel in Italy. Bad.

If you choose you know that everything you see in the photos is not true, the only star that can have is a shooting star! Dirty! They gave us a lurid room not the one we paid for. We left immediately, of course they had already credited, we did not even ask for a refund. We are not their lords! Put the pictures of the real rooms! The important thing was to leave as soon as possible.

The price of the room is exorbitant (€90) and without hot water. The reception is warm.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. But very very very noisy not possible to sleep well nothing soundproof we wait WC. Shower. Furniture moving.

Pitiful Hotel simply. Already arriving the room did not match our reservation, this was changed when we râlé.
We stayed there for three nights and no one ever came to make the room when it was planned.
We had to ask for soap and toilet paper at the reception because no one gave it back.
The room was tiny: we were forced to put on the toilet because the toilet was too close to the wall.
Hotel located in a very hectic place: the police even had to intervene one evening for fights.
The breakfast included in the price was so bad that on the last day we preferred to pay and take it elsewhere.
Just to run away.

Cheap (March) located a few steps from La Rambla, 10 minutes from the Playa;-) a good choice if you have a limited budget.

Say wrong is little, a humiliating deal and a brutal dirt, pay 80 euros for one night and I had to run after a very long trip, I can only assure you that the bed had some yellow lamparones that almost vomited, I got another room making me wait Until 2 in the morning because supposedly it could be occupied by other clients, fool of my I wasted my time relying on a solution and when I opened the other room it was freshly painted, the answer was, open the window because it smells a little paint, (a window Tiny to an inner courtyard) I don't know how I didn't die intoxicated, the fact is that I opened the bed with fear and more of the same this time full of hairs, for God's worst night of my life, obviously do not touch the bed and as I could contact another hotel me pire That hole, over some rude, have breakfast and for more firewood to fire a stale bread and a bad juice, please do not be fooled as oneself by the real commercial photos, every time I see it on a booking website I say look! If it seems that this up well and I remember the drama that I live and I say it seems a lie that this found past where are the health inspectors…

The pictures of rooms are not reflecting the reality. Most of the rooms are old and not under modernised design as shown in the photos. The rooms are dark. Also, the soundproofing is awful. You will hear everything clearly. I mean everything. These include music played by people staying next to you, the sound of people taking lift, walking and talking along the corridor all night. Worst still, I can hear the sound of people using tap water, taking shower and flushing toilet. I am not exegerating, this is what I experienced. The toilet is always stinky no matter how hard they clean it, thanks to poor ventilation system in the room.

Very disappointed with the hotel very noisy. Room hasn't got a chair or table furniture is outdated. Not a good experience.

The most shabby Hotel in Barcelona…

The location is the best you have, the good receptionist's attention, the regular room. Comfy beds, which is finally the important thing.

Location was ample! Right by loads of cool places, a nice jazz club nearby and plenty of water about. Rooms were okay at best but for the price were on point! Recommended!

Very bad, window that did not open completely for more on a cramped "cortiletto" inside. We booked a triple room but we didn't have the living space to move around door to the bathroom which was close to fatigue. There was no hair dryer, no shampoo in the room there was in unpleasant smell. Absolutely not recommended.

Very small room. Little natural Light. Old furniture and TV that didn't work. The whole bathroom gets wet when you shower. Good breakfast. Good location.

Well, clean, a Professional welcome, speak Perfect Italian, Spanish and many language, care with customers, loving you find availability at all hours. Very cheap deserves to pay more services Quen you get.

Price something high for what it is. Clean but very old-fashioned rooms. The facilities leave a lot to be desired for the price we paid. To spend the night and little more.

Bed linen and room was nice and clean, staff were good. But room was facing brick walls, 3 foot from window making room very dark and claustrophobic. Tv dident work was reported to reception on 4 mornings as resent terror attacks in the area, we needed news up dates. Very basic 1chair 1wardrobe 6 inches between the 3 beds couldent wait to get out of room.

The room was tidy, the cleanliness could do more, ABR for a star hotel completely i. O. Bathroom modern and Renouvirt, it was a pity that you had a flood in the bathroom every time you showered because the curtain just did not go down. Rooms were cleaned daily, as well as the towels changed. A minus point was that you had to leave the room key at the reception and had to report back there when it came back. The self was not the problem but the one eifach had to say a room number and one got the keys only one MA wanted to know the name of the guest. Security very questionable! On the whole, I would still book this again. 2min walk from La Rambla.

Location is excellent. There is a breakfast provided. There are no hair dryers provided in each room and I was told there are only five available in the whole hotel so would be wise to ask for one right at check in if you plan to need one! If you check out and would like to leave your baggage at the hotel to pick up later, the staff will direct you to storage lockers which are one time use only and require 2 Euros (non-refundable).

Noisy, place is falling apart. Definitely not modern. First night we hardly slept, no sound proofing so you could here the lifts and showers/toilets. People were stood outside our door talking for three hours. We asked to move to another room. Looked okay compared to the previous prison. Was fine until the toilet broke, when staff were told we had to wait until the next day to get a working toilet again. The next day the toilet door handle broke. Rooms are like prisons, minimal windows give minimal light. Came home covered in bed bug bites. Awful.

The place was great. Breakfast was really good and plenty to eat full. The location of the hotel is the best thing about this place. The room was very small, but really clean! I give 4 stars only for the noise from other rooms for few days. I have stayed 5 nights.

Friendly staff, clean baths and rooms, nice beds. It is what you would expect for the price and location, however, I'm giving it 1 star because every single night of the 6 I stayed, at some point (apparently random) this TERRIBLE smell, sewer like, would come through the air conditioner, so I had to turn it off for a while (very bad in summer after a long day at the beach and you just want to get some rest). The staff said there were nothing they could so to fix it.

To return whenever possible, and enjoy everything from the place, the food, the warmth of the place that fills your HEART.

Great budget hotel. Super for somewhere just to get your head down between exploring this lively city. I used it as a Base to go to the Grand Prix. Clean accessible to metro and 100 yds from restaurants and a great Irish Bar. Basic breakfast but they stocked Gluten Free rolls for annoying Coeliacs like me!

Horrible. The ugliest hotel ever. Dirty rooms. Beds full of hair, fur and any other crap imaginable. Dilapidated and shabby neighborhood. Poor food and strange provenance. I do not recommend Allogarvi especially for those who do not have towels and own sheets in the suitcase. Unfortunately you can't put a lower number of stars because it would be winner of — 5 stars.

We gave this five stars for what it is — a budget hotel. No morre no less. Breakfast is basic but tasty, the shower was fantastic and the rooms were VERY clean. It is noisy but what else do you expect when you are so close to La Ramblas? It is also close to the underground and has lots of bars and cafes nearby. We would recommend this hotel to those who want a cheap, clean place to stay.

KATASTROPHE! Horror-Trip! Dirty. Unpolite and not safe. Reception sucks. NO service. Had a really BAD vacation! Never again.

Very dangerous streets around the hotel. Very poor service. They didn't even have a computer in the reception. I felt really unsafe there, I had to hand out the keys of my room everytime I left the hotel. The rooms smelt really bad.

Perfect location, breakfast included, basic but very rich, and in spice a receptionist cuban Mayra lovely. Basic room, quiet, clean, with a/to.

Hotel disappointing. A lot of noise day and night + work. Refusal to breakfast of a slice of bread or a stick of butter from 10 Grs. Extra bed in iron and in poor condition.

I will suggest do not stay in the Hotel even if they give u the room for free. The flush does not work. The Air-conditioning is poor. The hotel staff enters your room without knocking. No privacy at all. They serve rudeness at the reception and breakfast. There is a fat receptionist who is very bad.

Really not a great hotel, the biggest problem being the area which remains noisy until after 5AM making it very hard to sleep. But it's getting 3 stars (not 1 or 2) because I stayed here and I had a fantastic time overall in Barcelona, but it's definitely not recommended if you want a quite/relaxing time.

Correct room and friendly staff. The breakfast was not that great. Perfect location near the rambla and the Metro. Market of the Boqueria in 5 minutes. Good quality/price ratio.
