Awesome experience, this is our second stay and better than the first. 5 stars!

Everyone was very accommodating, always greeted you and went above and beyond.

The location is ideal! Friendly and courteous. We were welcomed with a “Welcome Drink”.

From the moment the staff greeted us, it was evident that Hotel Grand Central’s sole purpose was to make our stay, from checking in to checking out, the most memorable and pleasant of stays.
They have a penchant for making sure that all of your needs are met. Both of the concierge, Martha and Mauro, arranged our daily itinerary according to our requests, purchased tickets for points of interest for us, recommended places to visit in Barcelona and the Costa Brava (we took a day trip up to Girona and Tasso De Mar as well and to Sitges which were not on our radar; however, we were so glad of their recommendations), excellent restaurant suggestions and made reservations for us (they also spoke to the restaurant and made sure we had a glass of Cava upon arrival) The reception staff attended to our requests and were readily available 24 hours. I cannot recall all of their names; however, they were all wonderful. Housekeeping maintained the cleanliness of our rooms daily. And Yoli gifted us with some lavender incense for our room Nely and Pedro made sure that our breakfast, which included a delicious array of savory and sweet dishes, various types of coffees and teas, freshly squeezed juices, champagne and Cava, breads and natural spreads, whole and cut fruit (the list goes on) was a culinary delight to send us off for our day of exploring their beautiful city. They were most attentive and professional, friendly and personable.

I celebrated my 30th birthday here and what an amazing hotel this was! The staff are outstanding and are always there to help! Rooms were lovely and the roof top bar and pool are something else.

Wondeful hotel! The reception by the staff was perfect, with nice complimentary drinks. The rooftop pool is gorgeous and has amazing views of Barcelona. The room itself was the most quiet and darkest I have ever experienced; no exaggeration! We could sleep until noon without realizing, almost too good at staying dark!

City restaurant. A loverly places, superbly design with a modern but elegant touch. Staff where attentive, friendly and professional. The food was really tasty and well presented. All the drinks we had (wine and cocktail) where of high levels also. Pricing was fair for the type of place it was. You can also go and have a drink in the sky bar after on the top floor, you have to pay to drink up there normally but if you eat here first you can go for free after. They also garantiue you a table if you have eaten before also! *HOT TIP! * Go onto there website and sign up CITY VIP where you will get 20% off the bill on food and drinks if you mention it when booking through THERE website (not through the fork etc of course) also available to be used on the sky bar!

Wow… from the moment we walked thru the revolving doors it’s was A1 service with a friendly smile, champers to relax with while we checked in. Our rooms we luxurious & amazing comfort. Rooftop bar & pool was spectacular with amazing views while enjoying a dip or just relaxing with cocktail

Excellent hotel with stunning pool. Rooms very clean and functional. World class service, both by the pool, as well as room service and reception (luggage was driven up to the underground car park), breakfast offer was very good. Come back soon!

I give a star only for the view and because the hotel is located in the city center. Otherwise, it is the scam, the wine is served in plastic glasses, 5 pieces of cheese at 18 euros and a cocktail at 16 euros… Plus, our reservation was cancelled at the last minute because of the weather when it was fine. The server has not even finished collecting that it has already rushed to welcome new customers. Personally, I will never go back again.

Ashamed, plastic glass to serve wine! 18eu Cheese Platter with 5 tips that fight in a duel without the quality being transcendent. The correct cocktail but at 16 had one would expect a glass not a cup full of ice. The view is nice but for a hotel of this standing the quality is not at the rendezvous!

Lovely hotel. Staff wonderful. I expected a more upscale room. Breakfast superb. Dinner was very nice. Loved the local "meat" that is cured and of the region. Can't remember name, but will search for it until I die! Protests were going on when we were there and, although they were peaceful, the staff was extremely concerned for our safety!

We absolutely cherished our 4 night stay at GHC. From the minute we walked in it was full of warmth and generosity. SAUL at the front office manager was just ridiculously charming and so were his colleagues (hate myself for not writing down their names) They upgraded us to a suite (without us even asking) and put the kids right next door… perfect. From restaurant reservations to suggestions to just joking around with the kids they made us feel very welcome. This place will most certainly be our choice again in Barca. The roof top bar with pool is so quaint with the best sunrise. Breakfast staff also lovely and a good selection. Again most importantly they were genuinely friendly with our children which is a big plus to make us comfortable. This hotel has “great customer service” written all over it. Whoever is hiring or training them hats off to you. Great location close to it all. We loved the Borne area and Gothic quarter which was a walkable distance. Stay here!

Great location in the central part of Barcelona. All of the staff have been very helpful with all of our needs, including ticket purchases and dinner reservations. The sky bar is amazing, with a unique view of the city in a comfortable setting. We would highly recommend this location to stay, eat, or drink!

First Class Hotel in the centre of Barcelona. Great service that is unlived by what you ask for. He's got rooftop but I couldn't get up.
Luxury rooms, lovely lobby and a detail. They clean your shoes for free if you ask for it. A first-class detail.

Five stars for a great hotel. Gracious service that wasn’t too formal. Offered a range of beverages on arrival (we opted for the cava, which was perfect). A great rooftop lounge and pool with views south and east. Comfortable bed. Great bath products. And you can tell they communicate from night to day shifts so that nothing falls through the cracks.

A luxurious atmosphere with a very careful attention. The menu for my unvaried taste. The honey pudding and killed exquisite. Ideal for special occasions.

A really good hotel in Barcelona with an amazing rooftop pool with a great view. The rooms are modern and fine, the staff always attentive and you feel right at the same time. On foot you can reach all the important places in Barcelona (but you still have something to do, so you shouldn't be in your feet). Absolute tip — I'll stop by the next time I stay in Barcelona.

Absolutely perfect weekend spent here. The staff in both the hotel and City Bar couldn’t do enough for us. They went the extra mile with everything to ensure we had an amazing time and made us feel very welcome. The service all round was outstanding. Very nice location in town center. The rooftop swimming pool is amazing. You can have an overall city view. Room is spacious with trendy design. The snack and drinks in mini bar are delicious as well.

The staff is extremely helpful and very nice but other than that the hotel does not deserve a 5 five starts eating.
Food anywhere there is awful, room service, bar, rooftop… Don't eat there. Rooms are broken, bath not working well and some things are simply dismentled, not to mention the size of the room which is tiny and the very very tiny bathroom.
Again, the staff is great but this does not make this hotel a place to go to.

The restaurant is a select place, with a reduced menu but of great quality. In addition, with ElTenedor's offer the price becomes affordable. Highly recommended to surprise your partner or go with friends on a special occasion.

The roof top is very very classy but the restaurant deserves some reviews. Avoid fatty liver that is not.

This rating would be a lot lower if not for the exceptional service at the hotel. The hotel has a nice roof deck, great location, and outstanding service. However, the rooms are extremely noisy. Not noise from the street, but noise from above, below, the sides, and outside the room. We constantly overhead conversations in the adjacent rooms, people dropping something on the floor, people making their coffee, or the maids cleaning in the morning. It appears that the soundproofing materials inside the hotel are inadequate. The hotel is nice but additional investment needs to be made in the soundproofing before I would ever consider staying here again.

My daughter was playing with my phone and gave a lower rating by accident. I apologize to the hotel staff. I hope this fixed it. This hotel is top and the people that work here are incredible on how friendly they are and how much they have helped us since we walked into the door. Rooms are awesome.

The Skybar is an awesome place for tapas and drinks. €35/person bought you an array of tapas and waters. Beer and wine were reasonably priced, though the cocktails were pricey. This is definitely a great place for a romantic night out.

My all time favourite hotel! Located in the gothic quarter giving you the prefect location to everything. La Rambla 10 minutes away and the beach to which I walked every night 10/15 minutes and of course the best one from all the infinity pool on the roof giving you an amazing view over Barcelona. Just love it! The reception staff was really friendly and welcoming definitely will stay again.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Everything was great! Customer service was on point; most of them spoke enough English to help us with travel questions and were very friendly. The location is obviously amazing if you are capable of walking places. The only downside for me is the price.

Very small-tight-rooms and noisy all night long. Homeless people have quieter places to sleep I am sure. Staff is superb but rest, like workout room the size of a bedroom with one treadmill, precious little space to move around in, means a less than comfortable stay. We had outdoor party and singing until 2 am every night. And we were given a quite room!

Location is convenient for shopping and sight seeing. The hotel room is clean and comfortable.

Luxurious but discreet exterior, in El Born, Barcelona.

Terrible experience. Rooms are super tiny — executive barely has room for the bed — plus loud street noise even on higher floors. Staff unfriendly, lack customer orientation and overall a really unpleasant atmosphere. Should not be considered part of SPG as does not stack up to expectations for a Starwood affiliated property. Stay somewhere else.

On the rooftop is an amazing poolside area, offering a great way to relax from a long week or even work in the sun over the roofs of Barcelona. Free Wifi available. Highly recommendable!

Unfortunately the hotel does not meet the specifications. We had hoped for 5 star and received less than 4, and Yes, we had a great time anyway. The rooms are ok but the service leaves to be desired and is not level and the price. If the hotel really had all services that would be offered I'd be so disappointed but here much is played what does not exist. Upon our departure, we had… probably even a theft of the maid (which we can not prove) but also the staff care. Well ask this House avoids it gives many good alternatives in Barcelona. Like I will do this, pass also good experiences.
Oh and to the rooftop pool (which is significantly smaller than the impression in the image)

The Grand Hotel Central Barcelona is very cute, it is 5 star so you pay for safety, service, good maintenance and comfort. Good for a surprise… To me it was very bad, the first bad impression when you see in the bathroom a trash can broken, old and dented, as if they could not switch to one in perfect conditions. The second, melted away, the light from the hallway entrance to the room and the last two nights we spent in half-light because they never fixed it. But the third and last that if you can't go overlooked was the theft of my computer… That itself is amazing if it is considered that the staff that he works there is honest, responsible, careful of his work and all of the guests… Would never go back there, and I would not recommend it to any person, if they are able to steal a lap top… Imagine up where you can get… And the answer to the most simple and cynical is… ”that have nothing reported”

Hotel in a building with old and very well located. Very good combination of the old building with a modern design. Worth to stay a day in the restaurant. In the bar you will see a great show with very good DJ. The best service and the terrace. Highly recommended.

My favorite hotel for a drink. Its terrace is unique in Barcelona and the view of the city are excellent. The drinks are somewhat expensive but it is worth. An ideal place to chat with friends and admire our city. I think it is the only Barcelona terrace with infinity pool, although I have not bathed me in it.

Love the roof top pool and terrace. Bed is huge and very comfortable! Perfect place to stay for mini break or business trip when in Barcelona. 5 Stars.

The upstairs terrace is spectacular, with an infinity pool super cool. Ideal to enjoy a drink before dinner. The price is somewhat high, but worth a try. In addition, with each Cup bring you some French fries and a bowl of sweets, which is welcome. The service is friendly and attentive.

Good location, excellent facilities and most of all the staffs were very lovely and attentive. One thing though, we paid for Wi-Fi in our room but it was so patchy but aside from that everything else was fantastic. I would return and highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Hotel to give a tribute. Located in Via Laietana, next to the Cathedral has a perfect location for visiting the Centre of the city. The facilities are relatively new and the decor is modern and neat. It has a terrace with one of the best views of Barcelona and an "overflowing" pool from which you can see the most emblematic buildings of the city. It has a quiet restaurant where you eat well and you can also organize private dinners because they have booked. They also have a cocktail bar where taste good drinks and Gin tonics with music and a great atmosphere for a couple of years. Attentive and friendly service. Hotel for couples. Not recommended for children by the tranquil atmosphere that is transmitted.

I have been in the month of October 2013 for second time, lovely stay, its terrace and its rest impeccable as his bar, Argentine Assistant very friendly and efficient! The very good excellent service quality which responds to rate, excellent location.

The coolest hotel in Barcelona. Amazing terrace. Very good cuisine by chef Ramón Freixa. One of the hotels with more roll of the city. Located in el Born two minutes from the Cathedral and the Gothic quarter. The terrace is spectacular for its views from the pool and good music. Excellent cuisine of chef Ramon Freixa in Avalon restaurant and the City Bar (menus from € 9). Highly recommended.

Useless Wi-Fi for days on end — no good for business. Tries a bit too hard to be cool, but otherwise not bad.

Rooms are very clean and stuff is super friendly. In the heart of. Barcelona. Ask for Wi-Fi passwords from the reception, a max of 6 days but you need a new log in for every single device you bring. Biclye hire, 2 are available and you need to book in advance. At the time of writing it cost 12€ per day and you can keep it as long as you want. There is a bike rental around the corner too.
