Brilliant hotel. Best location in my opinion, walking distance to the best parts of Barcelona and less than 1 min walk to a metro station to take you everywhere else. The rooms are of a very good standard and the staff are the best, very thoughtful, genuine and their English is great if like me your spanish isn't. Recommended and I would definitely return.

Wonderful location in the Gothic Quarter! We loved being able to step right out and be in the middle of everything. Plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby. The reception staff were very kind and gave good recommendations for dinner. The room itself was clean and well suited to us, and the bathroom was huge (for European standards)! Our only complaint is the noise we heard from upstairs — there must've been a meeting room or something above us because we heard chairs sliding non-stop. Other than that, highly recommend!

The hotel is located in the Gothic quarter, lots of attractions within walking distance. There are balcony. Very high ceilings. Breakfast was good. No complaints. It is a pity just do not give slippers-the floor is stone, not pleasant barefoot on it to walk. The rest was fine.

This hotel ended up being pretty much in the center of all the sights we planned on seeing, making it a great location. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Would recommend to anyone spending a few nights in the area.

Mediocre hotel with arrogant staff. The rooms were in good condition but not sound proof enough. This hotel is only good if you are interested in a good location and renovated bathroom.

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating as the location is great. But 2 euros a night for a key to the safe, really? Such a cheap way to get an extra buck from you. Then there's the ants that were everywhere in our room. And the fact the maid never took our trash in the 5 days we were there. Otherwise it's a nice hotel.

Well located hotel in a very crowded borough (Barri Gòtic) but still quiet enough to not hinder your sleep. Tons of good restaurants nearby. Rooms are tidy and well-equipped. The metro station is effectively 30sec from the main entrance.

The hotel is very central. We stayed 4 days and we were with the same sheets 2 days. The floor in our room was dirty. On Saturday at 9am we came to wake up to make the room. At 09:45 when we were still arranging to go back the same girl all angry preg Untandonos if we wanted to fix the room Q that day!. I work many years of floor waitress and also travel a lot and is the first time I see in a hotel Q practically throw you out of your own room before 10 am and then leave the same sheets and towels and not clean the floor. The rooms are correct but the cupboard is toy. We travel in winter and almost no hsbia place to store clothes in the closet.

Hotel is good. I had no problem. Just don't expect to have parking in front. Parking is 600meters from hotel in underground complex. Cost about 20 to 30Eur per night.

I desperately want to give this hotel a better rating. The rooms were ample sized compared to other European hotels. They were clean and nicely decorated. The balcony overlooking the street below was perfect, especially during La Merce. The staff were polite and helpful (English spoken). However, I had to drop a star because of the sound proofing… there is none. Every chair scrape, door closing — you hear it all. My travel companion stayed four doors down. He had a cold during our trip and I could hear him coughing. With ear plugs, a great experience. Also, breakfast is not free. Available for a fee.

We were there three years ago before the renovation. It was old, Seventies furniture… But it was in the center, 50 meters from the cathedral. We came back because we confided in the renovation, but we were disappointed. Non-existent soundproofing, moving noise of furniture at all hours of the day and night. At first we were given a double room instead of a double (which we had requested with a slight surcharge). Then they changed our room and in the new one did not work the bathroom vacuum, which being blind was essential. The rooms have strange shapes, ours had the wall-mounted beds… The bathroom is nice, but not very functional: there is not enough light to shave or to make makeup… In short, renovation of façade, but in essence remains scarce. The mattresses are good, yes.

Room a bit claustrophobic as no sunlight (small window to a shaft. Very nice materials used in the bathroom. Limited english knowledge of one of the reception staff. The others were very helpful. Under average breakfast.

Excellent location. Room is clean and new. Staff is very friendly and helpful. No shampoo and bath liquid provided but a piece of tiny soap.

Excellent location. Hotel has recently had a renovation, most furnishings are new. Our air conditioner leaked but was repaired immediately on reporting to reception. Room very nice, comfy beds, lovely bathroom, only drawback was lack of view out of the window. Lots of choice at breakfast buffet too, hot and cold food available. Would recommend!

Renovated Hotel. All new. Well situated, close to plz catalunya and the metro. Cons: the pipes make a bit of noise (I came to waking up in the night), buffet breakfast little varied.

Location is great. Airco is cold. Shower is warm. However the room is not big. And neither is the bathroom. So for just sleeping, it's ok. Only the bed is a bit hard so you may want to consider that. Everything is clean and the service is good.

Perfect position, near metro (less then 100m) and close to Ramblas (5-10 min). The room was comfortable, large, with air conditioning and clean. Staff was very kind, they gave us any kind of info we needed and, even if they don't speak our language, they patiently explained everything to us. 4/5 only because the room has old furniture, that sometimes shows its oldness. If we'll come again to Barcelona, we can surely think about coming here again!

Despite the good location (very close to the Metro stop and the Ramblas), poorly maintained hotel, our room had lights coming off, broken door frames, breakfast buffet included (otherwise the usual €12) but of really poor quality, little staff Available and in some cases rude!

Rude staff and very noisy. The is more of a spring break hotel, not for discerning adults.

Just get longer they made me wait almost 3 hours, because the room had planned to clean it at 12 and when I arrived at 3 p. M. Had still not done so.

Service is terrible then the outdated and dirty rooms from the 1980. Plus you can hear other rooms and hallway chats.

I liked the size of the bed and room. Very comfortable. The price is right by the service offered at the hotel. The location is perfect, right in the Centre of the city and close to tourist attractions. Recommended for who will visit and tourism in Barcelona, because it will prevent that you take taxi, buses, metro, etc. Breakfast very rich and there is nothing for which I quejaria on the hotel.

Wonderful hotel, located in the heart of the Gothic quarter. To all the major attractions can be reached on foot. In different directions from the hotel at equal distances settled the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral and the town hall of Barcelona. Everywhere fuss tourists with maps and guides, but it is worth to cross the threshold of the hotel — and you get quiet and cool. Literally in 3 steps from the metro station Yaume I. (right out of the hotel). The hotel itself is a small, quiet, cosy rooms, decorated in a classical style; we got a bright room in shades of olive overlooking the street. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of fresh fruits, juices, different sorts of jamon, cheese, meats, sausages, scrambled eggs, pastries Russian. But us was not at all (sometimes relax from the native speech abroad). Staff is courteous and friendly.

I wouldn't have bothered to write a review, had this hotel was a decent place to stay in. The rooms are sleazy, the cleaning is terrible (I've found a used condom under my daughter's bad! ), and the food inedible. And the staff knows almost nothing when you ask for help or advice. The only good thing is its location, nearby the Ramblas on the one side, and the trendy Born quarter on the other.
